Rating: Just small things

A/N: I admit my grammar sucks…*laughs* I was lucky to even pass. I have only a few people I trust and won’t make a big deal out of my stories, but their busy. If you still like the story thanks. Writing is my hobby it helps me get my thoughts out. What I really would like to do is try to turn one of my stories into a manga that people will someday enjoy. As long as you enjoy it I’m happy. So read and enjoy!

Rune ran down the hall, he once again had a grin on his face as he slid around a corner. He slowly backed up while watching the way he came. The small male walked till his back was to the wall and then he opened and slipped into a hall closet off to his side. He covered his mouth to keep from laugh.

“Found you.”

He screamed and quickly scrambled out of the closet. His hand was over his heart as he lay on the ground. Keir looked down at him and smirked. “I think you killed me for a second.”

“Really?”

A pair of hands quickly lifted him up and over his shoulder. “Wait!”

“I won fair and square.”

“I know but wait!” He looked back at Rune, he was pushing himself up to look at Keir better. “What about…”

“No excuses. I told you what I wanted before we did this.”

“Okay fine tell me how you did it?”

“Get in the closet before you?”

“Yes.”

“I slipped past you through another room.”

“Really?”

“Yes.”

“Damn it!”

Keir smirked and kept walking, “Tonight your ass is mine.”

“I know.”

“You should of thought before placing the stakes.”

“Yeah yeah.” He sighed and hung there.

Rune found himself in Keir’s office chair and he was waiting for him to get done with whatever he was doing. The door opened and Nuri walked in, “What’s going on?”

“Sorry Rune she cornered me.”

“What do you want?”

“I need your help.”

“With what?”

She lowered her head, “Will your band please play at my party two months from now?”

“Two months?”

“Yes.”

He sat there with his head in his hand and closed his eyes. “Two months… two months… we should be able to.”

“Really?”

“Yeah, need to talk to Harmony she know what days are free.”

“Thank you.” Nuri quickly left the room only to appear once again. “Um… it has to be on a weekend.”

“Okay I’ll tell her.”

The door closed and he found Keir in front of him. “You’re so nice.”

“What, she asked I’ll find out. Just depends on their mood.”

“I see.”

“Most of the time they say yes… other times…”

“Okay, I’ll make sure she under stands when I talk to her.” He picked Rune up and placed him in his lap. “This is very familiar.” His head rested on his shoulder, “We made out here.”

Rune blushed and his face got redder as he remembered what happened the other week. A shiver went down his back as he felt Keir’s breath on his neck. “We should lock the door…”

“Why?”

“What if someone walks in?” His cool hand slipped up the front of his shirt and rubbed over his stomach. “Keir?”

“Don’t worry we’re not going that far, unless you want to?”

“I…” That hand slipped further up his shirt, “lost remember…” His breathing quickened.

“That is true, but I want you to willingly want it.” He bit down on his ear and Rune shivered. They never got far because he would jump out of his arms at the last second and they would have to settle with laying next to each other, but lately is had gone further to just touching.

“I’m still not… sure.”

“Okay, just stay here with me tonight then.” He pulled his hands away and they sat there in his chair. Rune reached over picked up the remote on his desk. After pushing a button on the remote he flipped through the many albums on Keir’s radio. He finally stopped at one and sat it back down.

Keir wrapped his arms around his waist as he leaned back against him. “Sorry.”

“I’m okay.”

“You’re always so nice to me and when I’m finally able to do it I chicken out.” He felt a hand rest on his head and he heard a sigh.

“Rune, I’m not going to push you.”

“I know.” The small male twisted around in his lap, he had his head resting on his shoulder and his legs hung over the arm rest. ‘Sometime’s I think you should’

His arms wrapped around his upper body and Rune found his head tucked under Keir’s chin. He looked down and his eyes became upset. All he had to do was say it, just tell him you ready. It was like his voice disappeared and he sighed. It’s been one month, when will he be able to go through with it?
^^^^

Dawn looked up from the cookie sheet when the back door opened, she smiled. “Hello Rune.” Under the bomber jacket he had on a shirt that was yellow and on the front was a blue little stick figure. Even in winter he had to wear a baggy pair of shorts. She couldn’t help but wonder what was going through his mind when he wore shorts in knee high snow.

“Hello Mrs. Thomas.”

“What have I told you?”

“Ah… sorry Dawn… old habits.”

“There we go.” The woman turned back to the stove to finish scraping the cookies off. One of the babies made a sound and she moved over to them two bottles in hand and Rune walked over to look at them.

“Their getting so big.”

“Yes.”

“Hello little babies!” Dawn smiled and she turned around to see Keir.

“Keir, your home early.”

Rune glanced over his shoulder and smiled, “Hi Keir.”

He had a bag slung over his shoulder. His black shirt was unbuttoned and a dark red long sleeve was under it. The pants fit him well; they were a faded black color. “I went out and got some more for us to have, you want one?”

Keir watched as Rune quickly turned away and he smirked. “Sure I’ll take it up to my room.” He walked over to the fridge and pulled out a black bottle as he walked by he grabbed Rune by his arm.

“Don’t you spill it, I don’t want to have to explain why there’s a blood stain on the floor.”

“Got it.”

Rune waved, “Bye.”

She went back to the stove and found four cookies missing, “Keir.” Turning around she found him looking around the corner, one missing cookie hanging from his mouth. “No more.”

He shrugged and left. Dawn sighed as she went back to feeding the two babies.

Keir walked down the hall with Rune following, he turned around and looked at his face. “What’s got you so down?” the bottle was opened and he had the cap in his other hand.

“Nothing.”

“Let me finish this,” He held the bottle up, “and my homework, then we’ll get out of the house.”

He smiled, “Okay.” The vampire leaned over and kissed him; Rune couldn’t help but feel happy after that. Here was a guy who wouldn’t push him into a situation, but actually asks to make the next move. Then there were times when he wished Keir would push just a little.

“That was so cute.”

They both turned their heads and saw Nina. She was standing in her bedroom doorway. “What do you want Nina?” Rune’s face was red and Keir had to snag the back of his shirt to keep him from running.

“Not much, I didn’t think you would get with Rune.”

“Don’t tell anyone please!” They both looked at Rune.

Nina sighed, “I have nothing against it. We live too long to be fixed on one idea.” She walked past them. “I’m going down stairs, I smell cookies.” Stopping she saw the smirk on Keir’s face. “You took the first cookie!”

“Yes. There really good.”

The black haired woman took off, “Wow, your mom’s cookies must be good.”

“She only bakes them once a year, and since Zev is not here to help her there won’t be as many.”

“Wow.” He looked up at Keir. “Can I have one?”

Keir held one out and Rune took it. The small male bit into the warm cookie. “Oh wow it’s really good.” The cookies was one of those really good ones, you know the ones that melt in your mouth. This cookie was one of the few that had chunks of chocolate in it. He quickly finished it when they got to Keir’s room, and as he walked in he was licking the crumbs of his fingers. “Those were really good.” His jacket dropped onto the table next to the door.

“Nina tries to get the first cookie, but I always get it.”

“Really.” The bag dropped to the ground and you could hear it make a thudding sound as it hit the floor.

“Yes.” Pulling his bag over he opened it and pulled out some books. “What are you going to do?” He took a drink out of the bottle and sat it down on the desk.

“Huh?”

“While I’m doing my homework.”

“Oh, I was going to…” He scratched his head, “I don’t know.” Keir was sitting at the desk with the books in front of him.

He glanced at Rune and shook his head, “Okay. I’ll try to finish quick.”

“That’s okay, take your time.” Rune walked over and sat on his bed. He liked Keir’s bed, it was soft and the sheets felt even better. But his favorite was the down comforter: thick, warm, and plush. He remembered one day Keir had left the room and he had sat on the bed. Let’s just say Keir walked in to find Rune wrapped up in it.

The bed was made and Keir really wanted it to stay that way till he went to bed. His fingers brushed over the dark green down comforter, he really wanted to. “Rune.”

Looking over at Keir he gave a sheepish smile. “I won’t mess the bed up.”

The look he gave him had him looking away, “Fine, just don’t…” The small male was already wrapped up in the blanket and he had a big grin on his face. “Never mind.” He turned back to his books.

Once the last one was finished he turned his chair around to find Rune asleep. The blanket was so large it looked like it was swallowing him whole. Keir slipped his hand over his face. He watched as Rune snuggled deeper into the blankets. “Keir…” A small smile was on his face and Keir couldn’t help but let one slip onto his.

He leaned over and kissed Rune.

“Mmmm, Keir…” Two tired maroon eyes looked up at him, “You finished?” His arms reached up over his head and he quickly stretched.

“Yeah, where do you want to go?”

“I’m too comfortable to move.”

Rune couldn’t help but laugh when Keir sighed. “Fine, I guess I’ll have to keep you here and tease you.” Then he found Keir right above him, his face went red and he shivered.

“You don’t really have to.” Keir kissed him and then moved down to his neck.

“But I must, you look so good.” Leaning back he frowned.

“What?”

“How the hell did you get this tangled around you?” The small male sat up and started to unwrapped himself.

“See I just rolled up.”

“Damn. Now that you’re up lets go.” He saw the look on his face, “What is…?”

Rune jumped off the bed, “Nothing, let’s go!”

Keir gave a sigh and walked out after Rune.
~~~~
They were walking down the street people all around them. Some with tails, horns, pointed ears, animal ears, fur, marks on their faces, or just normal. Rune looked up at the sky and grinned when he saw the only star in the cloudy sky.
“What are you looking at?”
“The star.”
Keir looked at Rune, his cheeks and nose were red from the cold. “Are you cold?”
“Not really,” He pulled his hands out, “But my hands are.” Holding his hands close to his mouth he started to breathe on them.
Blue eyes watched him and he smiled as he slipped one into his hand. “They’ll get colder.”
“Your body gives off some heat.”
“I guess.” He gripped Rune’s hand.
Then the snow started to fall as the two made their way to the park. The small male was about to pull his hand away when Keir came to a stop. “What is it?”
“Nothing.” He pulled Rune close and lowered his head. “Get on my back.”
“Huh?” His face grew redder.
“Trust me.”
Looking to the side he thought about it, “Okay.” Moving around he climbed up and then Keir was walking again. ‘His body is warm for a vampire.’
He yelped when Keir jumped up into a random tree. Then a group of people ran by, “They’ve been following us.”
“Why?”
“I don’t know.” Just then the group split up and one of them walked back their way. A woman in black stopped and pulled a cell out. “She’s talking on the phone.”
“No sir. We lost him… yes sir, we’ll find him…” Something took off out of the bush and slammed into the woman. She pulled a knife out and tried to plunge it into the animal’s leg. “Get off…” Her fighting proved useless as the animal grabbed her and dragged her off. There was a scream and it grew quiet.
“What was that?”
“I don’t know.” The animal shot out of the bushes and Rune was already off Keir’s back. “Rune, where are you going?”
“I’ve got see that animal.” He dropped out of the tree and would have been running if Keir hadn’t grabbed his arm.
“That thing just killed her.”
“I know… but…” He found himself over Keir’s shoulder, “Hey! Put me down!”
“No, I’m taking you away from here.”
“Damn it put me down!” Keir stopped when he heard it. Turning to the side he saw a large animal, he couldn’t tell what it was. The fur was a dark orange color and eyes a dark red. It looked like a fox crossed with a cat. A growl came from it as a large fluffy tail swished behind it. It jumped at Keir and Rune screamed, “Stop, don’t hurt him!”
The animal’s claws stopped short and Keir didn’t flinch, but Rune let out a breath of air. “Rune?”
“Put me down.” He sat him on the ground and watched as the large animal nudged Rune’s shoulder with his nose. “Akira will finally be able to relax know.”
It lifted it large clawed hand and gently poked his chest, when Rune looked down it flicked him in the nose. “Ow!” The snow was falling faster and it growled as shouts were heard. “What are you talking about? What rumors?” A raccoon came running out of nowhere and jumped onto Rune’s head. It started chattering and Rune shushed it. “We need to hide.”
It growled.
“No your hiding!”
There was a sound off to the side and Keir was next to Rune. “We need to get out of here.”
The large animal grabbed Rune by the back of his shirt and took off running. The raccoon jumped from his shoulder onto the animals head. “Where the hell are you going with Rune?”
“Keir, I’ll see you at your car!”
Keir stood there and watched as Rune and that animal disappeared into the park woods. Like hell he was going back to his car alone. He took off after them.
~~~~~~~

Rune tumbled to the ground as the large animal started panting. It shook its head and looked at the small male. “Zee, are you okay?” It looked at him and nodded its large head. “Good.” He hugged the large animal. “I’m glad you’re still alive.”

There was a rumbling sound and he smiled as he hugged him tighter. The raccoon started chattering and Rune looked at him.

“Look at Ringo he’s gotten bigger. You’re not feeding him fat food are you?”

He growled and Rune glared at him.

There was a sound a sound next to them and they both turned just as three men in black appeared. He pushed Rune behind him and growled.

Rune stepped back, then turned and ran. He could hear the fighting behind him as he ran, ‘Please don’t let them get me.’

Two arms wrapped around him and a hand covered his mouth before he could scream. “Shhhh, it’s just me.”

“Damn it Keir.” It came out as a hiss.

“Sorry, but you were about to run into a group of five.” He quietly moved a bush branch to the side. Glancing out he saw five of them looking around the area, and one was coming over. Keir pushed him to the ground.

“This is not the time.”

“Trust me.” He turned his head and kissed him. The bushed was pushed to the side and Keir turned his head. The man grew pale when Keir growled at him. “Get lost.”

“Sorry.”

He let go of the bush. Rune laid there panting his eyes had a maroon tint to them. “Come on, let get out of here.” They quickly moved just as the bush was yanked to side.

“There’s no one here!”

“But I swear there were two guys snogging each other!”

“Get your eyes fixed.”

Keir heard the muffled laugh from Rune. “I’m glad you trust me.”

“Of course.”

He smirked and leaned over to kiss him again, but this time he slipped his tongue into his mouth. Rune made a sound as Keir’s hand slipped into his hair. The needy sound that Rune made had his blood running south. They were both so into the kiss that they didn’t hear the person approach them.

There was a loud growl and they quickly turned around. “Zee!”

“What the hell are you doing to my little brother!?”
