With Faith & Love

Jett and Janese pulled up to her house around eleven thirty. He cut the car off and faced Janese. She stared back at him witose ose questioning eyes. They were sharing a moment that only existed between the two of them. A moment that Jett wanted to last forever. Jett ran through the proposal in his mind for the millionth time and sucked in a breath. It was now or never.

\"Nessie, baby, I bought you something else from Jared\'s. I just wanted to give it to you at the right time. There couldn\'t be a better time then now,\" he said, looking into Janese\'s eyes. She looked back at him confused and estatic.

\"Jett I told you-\" He held up his hand to silence her. Jett pulled a small velvet box from his pocket and held it up for her to see. He looked back at her with his famous sideways grin and opened it. Janese gasped and struggled to breath with tears forming in her eyes. \"On my gosh, Jett!\" Jett took Janese\'s hand in his and turned toward her.

\"Janese, I know we\'re about to step out into the world and I know for a fact that I can\'t make it out there without you. You make me want to put my all in everything I do. You\'re just a blessing from God and I don\'t take that lightly. I don\'t ever want to lose you,\" Jett said in a soft loving tone. He inhaled another breath. \"Janese, would you be my wife?\" Janese stared at him with surprised eyes. She finally smiled and stuck out her left hand. Jett slid the ring on her finger and kissed her on the lips.

\"Let\'s go tell ma and daddy,\" Janese said after they parted. Jett got out of the car and opened the door for his wife-to-be. She put her arms around his neck and kissed him again. They finally walked towards the house and Janese unlocked the door with Jett kissing all over her neck. When they walked in, Richard and Vickie were cuddled up on the couch watching Two Can Play That Game.charchard paused the movie and Vickie noticed the diamonds glistening on her daughter and jumped off the couch. Her eyes bounced from Janese\'s neck to her hand.

\"Janese! My baby engaged,\" she screeched, grabbing her daughter\'s hand.

\"I knew you were gonna pop the question,\" Richard said, shaking Jett\'s hand.

\"I told you that yall were gonna get married,\" Vickie said. \"Rich, look at that rock on my baby\'s hand! Jett how much you spend?\" Jett chuckled and put his arm around Janese.

\"Nothing\'s too expensive for my wife. Whateshe she wants she gets. No question.\" He kissed her lips and pulled her tighter. Janese just stared backhim him in awe. That was the first time they had kissed in front of her parents. Richard sensed her tension and spoke up.

\"Why you looking at him like that? A man can kiss his wife anytime and anywhere he pleases.\" He took Vickie in his arms and dipped her into a kiss.

\"Uh-oh,\" Jett laughed. Richard let Vickie go and she slapped him on his shoulder.

\"Why you do that in front of them kids?\"

\"Kids?! They both eighteen years old and they probably do more than kiss!\" Jett snicked to himself. He did a time check then looked at Janese.

\"It\'s twelve fifteen already,\" he said out loud.

\"What happens at twelve fifteen,\" Janese asked.

\"I only came to surprise you for your birthday. e nee next time I\'ll probably have time off is after graduation,\" Jett said, taking her in his arms. \"We\'ll talk everday.\"

\"I\'ll walk you to the car.\" Jett said his good byes to Richard and Vickie then headed to ther.

\"Janese two letters came today,\" Richard said before they could walk out. Janese grabbed them off the counter then followed Jett outside. Outside on the lawn, Jett swooped Janese in his arms and spun her around.

\"I have to go without seeing you for the rest of May and a week in June,\" Janese whinned. Jett gently kissed her on the nose and then her chin.

\"Don\'t worry angel,\" he whispered. \"After we graduate we\'ll be our own people. Who are the letters from?\" She showed him the two envelopes. One from Howard University and the other from Towson.\" How come you haven\'t opened them,\" he asked, taking the mail. Janese shrugged her shoulders and sat underneath the big oak tree in front of the house.

\"I guess I\'m scared. These are the two schools I really want to go to.\"

\"Want me to open them?\"

\"Yea. If I get rejected it would sound much better coming from you.\"

\"Are you sure, cause-\"

\"Jett, please. Just open the letters.\" He sat down next to her and opened the first envelope.

\"Okay, this is from Towson.\" Jett read silently to himself while Janese stared in his face. She knew his answer when he started crumpling the paper. Janese felt her throat tighten and the tears form up in her eyes. \"Baby, it\'ll be okay.\" He put his arm around her and kissed her forehead. He proceeded to open the second envelope. After reading the first couple of words he jumped up and laughed.

\"What! What does it say,\" Janese screamed, snatching the paper from him. She read it aloud then let out another scream. \"Oh my God, I got in!\"

\"I knew you would,\" Jett said, kissing her cheek.

\"I gotta go tell me!\" Janese ran up to the door but came running back after she realized she left Jett standing in the front yard. \"Sorry baby,\" she said, kissing his chin.

\"I understand,\" he said, running his fingers through her hair. Janes remembered that Jett applied to North Carolina University.

\"Did you get in to NCU,\" she asked excitedly. Jett nodded his head and smiled. Janese smiled back at him. Then her face dropped when she realized that they\'ll be apart again. Jett read her like a book and took her hands in his.

\"You\'re mine and I\'m yours. We can work it out now matter how far we\'re apart.\" Janese\'s smile returned.

\"You\'re right hubby.\" She gently kissed him again and turned to leave. Jett grabbed her arm and pulled her back.

\"What did you call me?\" Janese threw him a grin and played with his ear.

\"Hubby,\" she whispered and kissed his chin.

\"Say it again,\" Jett whispered back, making a trail of kisses down her neck.

\"Mmmm, hubby.\" Jett pulled her closer and they tasted each other. Janese sucked on his bottome lip and rotated her hips into his. Jett moaned and grabbed her butt.

\"You know when to be a lady and when to be a freak,\" he said with lust caught in his throat. Janese grinned and decided to tease him some more.

\"Agent Hone. You\'re under arrest for having an unauthorized hard on,\" she teased.

\"Ohh, girl! You lucky I gotta leave,\" Jett said, sneaking a feel between her thighs. Janese walked off and worked her hips extra hard. \"I hate it when you have to go but I love watching you leave.\"

\"Call me when you get home.\" Janese blew him a kiss.

\"Yes, Mrs. Jackson.\"

\"I love you pooh bear. Hubby.\"

\"I love you too angel.\" Janese watched him get into his car and back out of the driveway. What she didn\'t see was the eighteen wheeler speeding down the street and running all of the stop signs.
