When i look out my window
at a sky so blue
i wish to high heaven
that life could be true.
my heart is lost
my soul wanders free
my body is restless
my mind a tired mess.
how can emotion rule ones life?
how can a heart yearning make one cry?
how can i love someone new
when all my heart yearns for is you?
tried to move on yet never seems possible
loves only truth once in a life
my misery is my own recalling
wishing for things beyond my reach.
i miss the one to whom i belong
i miss the one who lassoed my heart
i miss the one who claimed my soul
i miss the one who quieted my mind.
