Delwyn still felt a bit confused when his friends had left, and the tent put up. It seemed Barney and Joseph had a lot to talk about, so it wouldn’t become as kinky as he’d feared after all. Poppa had happily attacked the water surface, diving in stark naked, and Delwyn undressed on the pier. Without knowing why, he’d brought his bag with personal items, which he now left behind. He guessed it made him feel a bit more confident to know his phone, watch and wallet were nearby. Sometimes his mind worked in mysterious ways.
Poppa caught him between his arms, cuddling him with warmth and care, until he relaxed. “Calm down, pretty,” smiled the bear, blinking water out of his eyes. “We came here to enjoy ourselves, and we’ll still do just that. Ignore those other two. They don’t need us.”
Delwyn had to agree with that. His friends needed as much privacy as they; they wouldn’t even come close. A deep sigh took care of the final stress, and he wrapped his arms around Poppa’s neck. “Okay. I need a lot more hugs to get over the shocks I’ve just endured, so do your best, big guy.”
“My pleasure, pretty boy,” grinned Poppa. Pushing Delwyn closer to the pier, he pressed his lips on him in a warm kiss. It increased in passion quickly, determined to bring Delwyn in a better mood. He was good at kissing. The smaller man responded perfectly.
The sun already warm on his skin, the water cool and gently waving, Delwyn realized he was very happy. Screw his friends and their confessions; they weren’t important now. Only Poppa was. Big Poppa, the large hands roaming over his body, the warm kisses and exploring tongue. He moaned softly as his head cleared, and pushed his hips forward in a gesture of defeat. “Take me,” he whispered, pulling back with difficulty. “Right here.”
Poppa grinned, his hands sliding down to knead Delwyn’s butt. “I will make you feel better,” he promised. He lifted his lover up, hooking the slender legs around his hips. “Got no lube and stuff…”
“Take it easy, then,” smiled Delwyn. He barely opened his eyes. “Just do it.”
“Mm…” Poppa was about to put his cock in position, when he stopped. “Your bag is flashing,” he said.
“What?” Delwyn blinked, staring at the bear.
“Your bag,” nodded Poppa towards the pier. “It’s flashing. Did you bring your phone?”
“Yes…” The blonde shrugged, tensing his arms. “Ignore it. It will stop soon.”
“It did. But it’s doing it again. Could it be important, maybe?”
“God, what do I care…” Delwyn sighed, and let go of his hold. If it made Poppa feel better, he would have a look. Pulling up on the pier, he grabbed his bag, and took his phone out. He held his breath when he saw who was calling. “My parents…”
Poppa was admiring Delwyn’s butt above the water surface, but he looked up at the announcement. “Your parents? You had no contact with them…”
“Yeah.” Delwyn pulled up completely, to sit on the edge of the pier. “Must be important after all,” he mumbled, pressing a button. “Mum,” he said in the phone.
Climbing out of the water, Poppa observed Delwyn’s face. The young man closed his eyes, and sagged. “Easy,” he whispered, putting a hand on his shoulder.
“Yes, mum… I’m on my way.” Delwyn disconnected, his eyes still closed. “This weekend,” he said with a soft tone of voice, “isn’t going to be nice.”
“Talk to me.” Poppa gently squeezed Delwyn’s shoulder. “Do we have to go somewhere?”
“Yes… Hospital. My dad just had a heart attack. I’m surprised they even remembered to phone me.”
“Of course they did, sweetie… You’re their son! Do you have brothers and sisters?”
“Yes. And they’re normal, married, and have kids. Oh god, Poppa,” Delwyn groaned. “I don’t want to face them! They’ll look at me the way they always do, and I’ll have to talk to them… I have to come out and be truthful and it all goes too fast! Fuck this weekend!”
“Pretty…” Big Poppa pulled Delwyn between his arms to cuddle him. “Don’t make me go all stern with you now. You will face them, and you will come out, but most of all, you will see your father. It’s about him now. Not about you.”
Delwyn pouted, his face pressed against his lover’s broad neck. But he wanted it to be about him! All he wanted, was to have another great weekend with Poppa, and then another week, and do it again and again until they would move in together and live happily ever after. It wasn’t fair. Suddenly, he had to live his life in a realistic way. He had grown up. “Will you hold my hand?” he asked quietly.
“Of course I will,” promised Poppa. “I don’t care what your family thinks of me; I’ll be at you side. Now, pretty… Chin up, and let’s get ready. I’ll take you to that hospital, alright? Your dad needs you.”
Delwyn wanted to get it over and done with, so he agreed. After all, it was about his father. It wasn’t about him; his family wouldn’t probably even notice him. Let alone ask questions about Poppa and their relationship. It would all turn out great. No big deal. Not at all. Right?
