Coup D’eat
Chapter 21 – Coup D’eat
“Hunter are those wolves still out in the forest?” asked Eva.
"Yes but they seem to be going now," he said Eva was worried the Lycans were much easier to convince but the vampires would be the issue she wished she knew how to show them all she wanted was to live like everyone else.
“I can do something about that, I do have friends in our enemies camp. They’ll listen to me and we’ll be able to get intel on where we need to strike if it comes to that,” said Marcus as he strode into the room.
“What happened to your markings Marcus?” asked Eva.
"So long as I do not have the feelings of lust I can suppress them I have done this for many years," he explained as he let the marks flow back over his skin.
“Good, the master replacing Richard is a nuisance, we need to deal with him before we can calm the council,” said Eva.
"Good so it is agreed that Marcus will go into their citadel and see what he can do to help our case?" asked Hunter.
“Yes, I’ll do it. There is certainly a big difference now from what it was,” said Marcus
Eva nodded "Good, should something go wrong please get out of there,"
“I will my queen,” said Marcus bowing before he left the room.

The vampire council chatted about this new transformation it seemed war was going to be the answer.
“The lycans have this dangerous blood now, whenever one of their females give birth or they turn a mortal they make more these power hungry wretches,” said one of the councilors.
"Not only do we not have to destroy the succubi now the Lycans will have to be eradicated,” said another.
“Do we really wish to stain our people even further with yet more genocide? There are families that won’t help with this,” said the head councilor.
"Yet the fact lies they are a threat to all those who live secretly among humans," one pointed out.
“The only reason the decision was made last time was because they were threatening to expose everything, this is not what is happening. This decision cannot be made rashly,” said the head councilor.
"Yet what happens if it happens again? Should we run that risk?" asked one.
“We must consider the risks, we maybe stronger than them and outnumber them but they don’t have weakness to sunlight and they don’t need blood,” said the head councilor.
They nodded in agreement "Plus their reproduction rate is much greater,"
“The situation must be monitored,” said the head councilor.
Some of the older council members grumbled at the statement yet had little option but to agree.
“Now we will break then come back and discuss other issues,” said the head councilor.
“We need to do something now, my family is waiting just outside for me to give them the go ahead,” said one.
"What will it do?" one questioned "There are guards much stronger then them here ready to protect them at all costs,”
The councilor rolled his eyes and said “No problem at all, Captain may I speak with you?”
An armored vampire made his way to the table and said “Yes councilor?”
The councilor smiled watching him leave.
“Where are the guards?” asked the head councilor as he walked back into the room.
"They are out," one sneered.
“Out where?” demanded the head councilor.
“Gathering the troops,” said the captain as he walked back into the chamber. “The succubus themselves are too dangerous to be allowed to live, the werewolves can be contained and watched if the same thing happens to them we can dispatch them,”
The head councilor growled "That is not your decision to make, if they are so hungry and blood thirsty why has there been no attacks since the queen escaped?!"
“They are waiting, building there power, there have been attacks. Disappearances all over the country, spread out in an attempt to disguise what was going on she is building an army and she has the werewolves under her sway,” said the captain as he approached the head councilor. “And I was also offered a seat on the council, more then what you would have ever given my family,”
He growled "You will pay for this treachery if not from me from those you attack!"
He raised his hand ready to strike him down with psychic energy then the council members stood and wrapped their energy around the captain blocking the barrage of energy the head councilor sent at him.
"Captain! what is the meaning of this!?"
"Your death," snarled the captain as the guardsmen and the councilor's troops entered the chamber.
"You will all pay for this!" he hissed.
"I don’t think so,” hissed the captain as he lunged forward and slammed his sword deep inside the head councilor.
He cried out in pain as the fire leapt from the impact point and burnt his body to ashes. “We make plans now to take out the succubus, the werewolves will be next. It however could be a different condition for them as they condition would have altered the vampirism into something else,” said the new head councilor.
They nodded as they began to figure out their plans of what to do.

“Marcus, what are you doing here? You know that Lewis has been looking for you,” said Travis.
“I know but this is important, the Blood Succubi are not as they were when we destroyed them together,” said Marcus.
"Are you sure, they could be tricking you?" asked Travis.
"No it’s genuine, Eva found a mate and has twins," said Marcus "She really cares for them,"
He nodded "Ok so what is it, you plan on doing?”
“That is what I’m trying to figure out, there are so many enemies out there for us. The werewolves are going to leave us alone which is good,” said Marcus.
"Council seems intent on getting rid of your race once more and then they will go for the lycans," said Travis.
“What? When was this decided?” asked Marcus.
“After the head councilor was forcefully replaced, they are consolidating battle plans now,” said Travis.
"Do you think there is any way for them to talk it out?" Marcus asked.
“Unfortunately not, the only real hope of that is dead now. The guard captain got a rather large bribe he’s one of the councilors now,” said Travis.
It then hit him "Perhaps we can make our own bribe though I would have to talk to Eva first," Marcus said with a smile.
“That would be interesting but what would you bribe him with? He’s a councilor now,” said Travis.
"Simple, seduction" he said with a smile. “Her mate has a sister who is well versed in the art of seduction, now that she has our power and it affects even other vampires, we could place her in there,” continued Marcus.
"Do you think it will work?" Travis asked
“Yes, I know the guard captain personally he’s ambitious but the only real thing he is looking for is security for his family we can provide that and his families bloodline is one of the rarest,” said Marcus.
"Alright let’s just hope it works" said Travis.

“My Queen, my friend Travis told me that the way is open for us but we need to act very quickly the council is preparing to strike us down Captain Omni is a councilor now after receiving a bribe to help the councilors over through the head,” said Marcus after he had returned to the manor.
"So I take it you have a plan set?" she asked
“Yes, send Claudia in there. She could convince him to help us instead their bloodline would be of great use to help protect us,” said Marcus.
"True from what Hunter has spoken of her she can be quite convincing," Eva muttered.
“We need to send her in quickly, tonight if possible,” said Marcus.
"Claudia is actually quite stealthy why do you think I left her in charge to watch my children should I die? She would keep them safe, so I believe she will be perfect in this situation," said Eva. “Hunter can you please bring Claudia in here, I need to discuss something with her,”
Hunter nodded it was only a matter of a moment before he came with her into the room.
“Claudia I have an assignment for you, I want you to seduce Captain Omni, now Councilor Omni into helping us with our problem,” said Eva.
She smiled "Do not worry my Queen I can be quite persuasive I will not let you down," her smile seemed predatory. She knew that this task would be quite pleasant as Omni was quite pleasing to the eye.
