Chapter 21

Chapter 21

The four returned to school with a new set on life, filled with vinegar that made Minako’s sugary outside sour and bitter. No one around her saw a difference except for the man she was now going to experiment on. Minako had to be innocent at seducing Bartholomew. If he suspected for an instant that she was an easy whore he would never take her, though her body had been responding to the attentions of the three men. Even when they only glanced her way things low in her body cried out in need, wishing to burst out and be used and abused. Draco had been the first taste of sex she had had as enjoyment, she longed to repeat it. Nemesis still remained jealous, though he denied it with every breath he took, and Sage remained aloof and ignored Minako’s questions to his reasoning behind this whole plan.

Maybe Minako’s sudden change in perspective is what did it, her sudden attitude now darker and dreary. Perhaps not. She seemed to be feeling like she was smiling more. She clung to the Dark Trio, their Sunlight outsider, a girl who was constantly with them and seemed to be in on whatever they had.

Minako sat in the music room, her violin under her chin, her bow magically dancing across the strings, Nemesis next to her, as close as he could without intruding in her personal space that would arouse suspicion, and many girls in the room glared at the two of them, the perfectly golden head leaning in the direction towards the raven-haired mail. Piercing female eyes blazed with jealousy and ambition as the two heads moved in unison, towards each other, away, feeling the music that danced through their fingers to their bows to the strings, raising music that would make Mr. Evans proud of them. Mr. Evans was in awe of how Minako had changed, not just musically, in the last weeks since he had seen her before summer vacation. Three weeks ago a girl had stood before him declaring her love and wanting nothing more than for him to be with her, a girl who played beautifully but still had not grasped the magic of her instrument. Now sat before her a girl with her skirt just a little higher, her confidence erecting her back straight, her body responsive in a whole new way that still exuded feminine young innocence and a need all the same. And her music, her music had gone from beautiful to magically rhapsodic. Nothing could compare to the sounds that came from Nemesis Rose and Minako Aino. For a few moments Mr. Evans forgot he was conducting a small orchestra and focused on the two in front of him, as did the rest of the class. They did not miss that their first and second chair were now light years ahead of them in talent.

“Mr. Evans, Minako is adding chords to her concerto and it is throwing the rest of us off,” a curly red-haired girl said from the back, stopping her bow along the cello strings and glaring at Minako’s back. Minako’s stance withered ever so slightly and Nemesis tried not to gloat beside her. What they had hoped for, a perfect plan, was already starting. Minako’s new confidence, though shining in her soul, outside it withered and her shoulders lost their structure.

“Yes, we are supposed to be an orchestra and work together,” a haughty dirty-blonde added from her place with her viola. “Not trying to show off by ourselves. They had enough of that during the concert a few weeks ago.”

Nemesis and Minako exchanged a quick glance and then looked away, Minako at the floor and Nemesis at the ceiling.

“That is true,” Mr. Evans said hesitantly. He did not want to rip those beautiful sounds away from the two in front of him, but he could not only show off their perfect talents when others had talent to be shown as well. “Minako, Nemesis, both of you need to stick with the chords that are meant to be played, no added notes, please. Now let’s do this again.”

To the girls that was not enough of a reprimand. Even the few men in the class, who despised Nemesis, thought that Nemesis should have been taken down another peg, though the girls’ true target had not been both, but only Minako. Minako, who had won the hearts of the Dark Trio, more literally than anyone had guessed for to them Draco was Belle, and Belle belonged to Sage and Nemesis. Now this shining sun had infiltrated them and was taking the attentions away from Sage and Nemesis. Girls who thought that Belle was sure to choose one of the men and leave one open now were in a furious outrage for if Belle won Sage and Minako won Nemesis then none of their dark men were available to them. Minako was an enemy of love for the young girls and she had to be brought down to size!

After their music lessons Thomas Evans stopped Minako with a kind hand on her arm and pulled her back into the class. Nemesis watched through hooded eyes, his jealousy roaring like a dragon in the pit of his stomach. He knew the plan, he knew he had to let her go to him, and still he was unforgiving of anyone else who touched her. He still had yet to forgive Draco for allowing himself to be the first within Minako.

Nemesis walked out into the hall and left Minako to her plan, their plan, the plan he hated.

“Minako, is there something between you and Nemesis?” Thomas asked of his favorite protégé.

“That is not a question you are allowed to ask me, Mr. Evans,” she spoke in a voice twisted with kindness and superiority. “You have your life with Fatima, one I have learned I should not question. You chose the Arabian Princess, and I choose Nemesis.”

“Minako, being mixed up with a boy like that…”

“Oh, he is not a boy, Mr. Evans,” Minako smiled. “I assure you, he is anything but.”

Very well aware of the many ears that lingered and listened to their conversation all Mr. Evans could do was sigh. He knew that Minako was slowly becoming a target of the many women around her. Girls, young ladies, they were all the same in their jealousy. The female side of the species was raised to believe they were superior to all other females, the male side raised to believe they were superior to everyone, male or female. It made males companionable and females jealous rivals. Mr. Evans wondered every day if Minako realized how alone she truly was without Mariko.

“I am just trying to look out for you,” Mr. Evans explained to Minako.

“I know,” she smiled kindly, but there was something haunted in her look, “but Nemesis is my boyfriend now, and I enjoy being with him for the way he makes me feel.” She said it like it was a dirty word she could only whisper and Mr. Evans hated the innuendo. She left without another word, just a little jump in her step.

Elsewhere Sage and “Belle” sat together on a bench, holding hands, Sage whispering into her ear while other classmates walked by. The ploy was starting, Sage belonged to Belle, Nemesis belonged to Minako. Sage, however, was not whispering the sweet nothings in her ear that were causing her to blush. Belle’s blush was entirely fabricated as Sage said some of the crudest things he could think of, something Belle wished to laugh at, not blush over.

“One day you are going to have to tell me how it felt to have Minako riding your dick,” he insisted. “I want to know how it feels to be inside of her, I want the details, every inch of the moment, until I can feel it myself.”

“Can you be so sure you will?” “Belle” asked of her “lover”. The words came out in a rasping gasp and no one would have guessed what it truly was that made Belle gasp, though Belle was conspicuously keeping a sweater over her lap.

“If things go the way we’ve planned, I have an even better plan coming along,” Sage explained.

“Do not say anything that would make it appear that Minako is slutty,” Belle whispered quietly, hoping no stray classmates would hear the words.

“She’s going to, and you know it,” Sage said roughly, his own desires just below the surface, “but I doubt it will stop Bartholomew Rose. What he wants he will get, and when he does, we’ll be waiting.”

“Do you plan on ever telling Minako the truth…?” Belle asked quietly.

“She’ll find out one day,” Sage whispered quietly, eyeing the many people who watched the two of them closely together, making note that Sage was taken with Belle, that their love was unbreakable. He wanted to laugh at the pathetic simple mindedness of the entire mass. “Until then, we follow what she believes is her plan and we use her to the finish.”

Belle smiled, but on the inside Draco regretted what they would do to win their way. He cared about Minako, and he regretted more than he truly did care for her.
