A Folger's Morning!

Chapter 21
Here is the next ch! I hope you all are going to enjoy this.
Kolgrim- thanks for the review. I have to say you are evil though letting them get caught in SVW! I nearly bawled my eyes out after the General spoke to Alex. GRRR! I have to get a settled ending before i even consider reading the English Boy's story.LOL!
Chrysler- LOL I am sooo glad some one else thought it was funny because I was just picturing little Ward getting thoroughly offended and the words just flowed. As to Colin ever getting it "straight" I don't know I think a lot of people are going to be suprised how that ends. And a foursome you say...;]
Dilandau- Hi and thank you for reviewing I really appreciated your comments! I hope I continue to meet with your approval.
Sennin- LOL I am sorry you had to stay up I have done the same myself to some of the fics on here too.But some how I justify putting myself through the red eyes, irritability, and drowsiness the next day. I think it's the greatest compliment I can receive from a reader. Thank you agian. I really hoped Ward's first time would be with Colin too but...Ward like most hormonal teenagers was just not waiting for mr. right just mr. right now.
BluAngst- LOL I like the opening! I have to say I am glad I was born too and as for if he'll ever be with Colin of course he'll be with Colin they are togther right now. Maybe not the way we would all like them to be but there is room for growth. After all how many of us picked mr. forever in highschool? And "flipping shits in anticipation" is the funniest expression I have ever had the good fortune to hear. I am asking permission to inflict it on the unwary public, please?

There are no warnings for this ch.

“Waaaaaaaarrd!” I know that screech. I would know that screech anywhere. How did it get in my dreams? I rolled over with a groan, this can’t be happening to me. “Ward! You better get your lazy butt up now before I march myself up there and— ”

“Die hag slag!” I yelled. No I was not attempting to speak German. The sun was just too bright and I was just too sore to care. I barely had time for a quick ball scratch before the amazon was banging on my door. “I’m coming don’t break the door down.” I dragged myself out of bed and stumbled across my treacherous floor and opened the door to the face boogie men fear, Kara.

“Finally. Do you know how long I have been waiting down stairs for? Your mother let me in and was like you’re tired and probably won’t be up for a while and I was like, that’s okay I can wait, and she was all like, okay but she had to go to bed and I was like— ”
I slapped a hand on her mouth and gritted, “If you say like one more time I will rip your eyes out!” Lord have mercy on a poor boy but that girl can go on forever. “Gross! You licked me!” I yelled coming awake instantly. The witch had the temerity to lick my palm. Ewww!
“Mhmm, the taste of Ward. If only Ben and Jerry’s would answer one of my recipe suggestions.” She mused cocking her head to one side. I just continued to stare aghast. Does she not realize the severity of the situation?!
“Kara, you just licked me.” I repeat just incase she missed it the first time.
“Ward that’s not important now. You have to tell me how last night went. And I think for both our sanity you need to put on more than those cute fire engine boxers.” She leered leaning into my personal space and pinching my bum cheek. I may be slow in the mornings but even I can take a hint. I grabbed some jeans off the floor and scurried into the bathroom.
When I came out fully clothed Kara had made herself comfortable on my comforter. She sat there toes twitching impatiently as she patted a place beside her for me. At least she took off her shoes first. I really hate it when people get on my bed with their shoes on. And she wears those large clunky wooden brown buckle platforms that scream dirty. She’s had those ratty shoes for ever. If I was truly a friend I would have gotten her some real shoes for christmas. I reluctantly clambered onto the bed resting my back against the headboard.
“Alright, now tell me what happened.”
“Nothing much. Christian came over it was great. It was mind blowingly awesome. Then I went to bed.” I sassed picking at my nails.
“Ward! Be serious. Tell me how it felt.” She whined. I wonder if she thought it made her look cute to act this way.
“Kara, I don’t care if you are trying to be serious but I refuse to discuss the most important night of my life with you. All you need to know is that it happened and I am fine.” I sighed running a hand through my hair.
“Ward, I’m not trying to be nosey. I just care about you. I want to make sure he didn’t hurt you. Believe me there is more than one way to be hurt.” She said quietly not making eye contact. I think I have mentioned it before, Kara is an enigma. She is usually the most bubbly out-going annoying girl I have ever had the misfortune to meet. Yet, there are times when she seems almost morbid, like now. At times like these I feel almost bad for treating her so callously. I don’t think that there is anything about Kara that I don’t know as she broadcasts it to the world.
“Hey, Kara...I’m fine. Really nothing happened that I didn’t want to happen. He made my first time definitely memorable. I mean...it was really good, I just wish we did some couple stuff afterwards other than fighting— “ I couldn’t hold back a blush at this admission.
“Wait, you guys had a fight already? Over what?” Kara gasped her eyes wide. I blushed ducking my head a bit. Admittedly it was pretty early to start having fights.
“It wasn’t my fault!” I grumbled nibbling on the side of my thumb.
“Ward what was it?”
“He didn’t use...you know.” I don’t know why I find it so difficult to talk to Kara about these things after all she played a part in my deflowering.
“Oh, OH!”
“Is that it. OH! That’s all you can say!”
“Well what did you expect me to say? Perhaps he was just caught up in the moment and with his passion flying high, he couldn’t wait for another moment to be wrapped up in your tight warm— “ She gushed. I think I prefer the ‘OH!’. The girl really needs to lay-off the Harlequin romances.
“Don’t even say it!” I shouted jumping to my knees to emphasize my point. The slight motion of the bed forcing her to list towards me. We were now almost eye to eye. Maintaining eye contact we both nodded affirmatively.
“Ward did you know you have gold flecks in your eyes? They almost make your green look like emeralds in gold filigree.” She breathed totally invading my personal space with her banality.
“Kara, get away from me, NOW!” I hollered jumping back and landing on my sore tail bone. The pain was blindingly excruciating.
“Oh! Ward! Are you okay? Let me help you up. You shouldn’t move around in your condition.” Kara squealed rushing to my side to help me up. I stooped over like an old man with one hand on my lower back. I am proud to say that I still maintained my glare. To hell with dignity!
“Kara, I really need you to leave right now.” I said getting into bed and snuggling into my comforter.
“Edward! Are you okay? I heard a loud noise.” I my mom panted skittering to a halt just inside my door. Her hair was strenuously opposed to her being up at this early hour if the current standing indignation was any indication.
“Sorry mom.” I mumbled.
“Sorry Mrs. Mason. It was my fault. I didn’t mean to wake you. We’re all okay plus I was just leaving.” Kara muttered a small smile touched her lips as my mom continued to look confused.
“Oh, okay then. I will get back to bed then.” Mom muttered absently scratching at the bird’s nest on her head.
“I’ll see you on Monday at school then Ward.” With that she left and I was left to my solitude. I must have fallen asleep because the next thing I knew my room was bathed in the golden glare of the late afternoon sun and the incessant ringing of my phone. I lazily rolled over and picked up the purple hand piece.
“Yes.” I growled at the unknown irritant.
“Hi. Ward. It’s me. Are you ready to talk now?” He drawled.
“Sure Christian whatever.”
