Daichi walked in with a smile on his face , and Nori  couldn't help but notice his brother's apparent good mood  . Daichi sat down next to him and “hmm" at him .

Nori  smiled back at him  .

“So your date went well I  gather “?

“Hmm? Oh yeah , it did  . I also got a gift “. Daichi  took out the block Sora gave him and showed it to Nori  , who looked at it with surprise . “My nephew just gave it to me  “.

“We have a matching set “! Nori  told Daichi as he thought of the one he had on his  nightstand . “ You know , I truly think Saiai might just come back to us “.

“It ...looks that way  . I hope so . I hope so “.

“Hey don't  doubt me ! I'm  gonna make this right “.

Saiai  sat on the bed  with Sora while they colored on a book . Saiai  glanced at Sora and watched as the toddler color the page with swipes of his hand . “Gonna color the whole page “?

“Color “.

“Saiai...Nori’s  here “.

“Thank you , Hanna . Send him in please “.

Nori  came in moments  later with a bag .

“Hello guys  . Whatcha doing “r

“Just coloring  . So what brings you here “?

“I  just wanted to see you  , hope you don't mind “.

“No , not at all . Sit “.  Saiai patted the bed as Sora  looked up a Nori then went back to  coloring on his book . Nori sat down and opened the bag to take out its  contents . Curious Sora crawled over to Nori and picked up a container . Nori smiled  at him . “Hey buddy , you want a snack ? I have some grapes and berries if you want some “.

He reached out and waited as Sora  gave him the container , Nori opened it and gave it back to the toddler  . He plucked a grape out and began to eat it .

“Hank you"! Sora managed to say as he chewed  on another grape juice running down his chin . Saiai  wiped it with the sleeve of his shirt .

Nori  took out a stuffed bear and handed  it to Sora and repeated the action but took out a stuffed dog . He gave it to Saiai  , who took it with a “thank you" . He noticed the stuffed animal had a note hanging around its neck with a black ribbon  . Saiai opened it to read it .

I'm like this dog .

Loyal , if you'll have

me back  . Hope I'll

be your loyal dog  .

Saiai  looked at Nori  , who was now helping Sora color  , he looked at him with a curve of his lips . “It's  ,um, it's ...thank you “.

“ It's  true . If you take me back  , I'll be your loyal dog “.

Saiai stared at Nori with wide eyes and he swallowed . Something  was happening and he didn't know what it was . Just as they moved closer  , suddenly Saiai was hit with a red object . He looked at Nori , who held a blue crayon as he pointed to the bed next to Saiai  . Saiai looked and saw a red crayon just as Sora giggled and threw more crayons up in the air with a burst of laughter . Saiai laughed nervously moving away from Nori , who didn't hide his disappointment  . He sighed before he schooled his features into a fake smile and took out a long stem rose to place in front of Saiai . “I have to go . Hope to see you soon “.

Nori  stood up and smiled at Sora  . “Bye Sora “. He left before Saiai could say anything  . For some reason the hurt look on Nori made Saiai feel bad , he wanted to call out to him , but he sat on the bed holding the crayon he had been hit with  . He snapped out of his daze and noticed the rose , Saiai leaned over to pick it up and held it to his face . He was interrupted from his thoughts as Sora  tugged on his sleeve . Looking down Saiai saw Sora hand him the container Nori left behind .

“More pease"!

Saiai opened  the plastic tub and let Sora  take out a raspberry and ate it . He grabbed a few  more and ate them contentedly, his coloring book forgotten  momentarily .

Saiai  laid in bed as Nori crawled close to him , a look of pure desire  on his face as Saiai watched him get closer . Nori smirked then leaned down to give Saiai a kiss   who reached up and wrapped his arms around Nori and pulled him against him . Their lips met as Nori ran his hands over Saiai’s body  .

Saiai jerked up awake  . That was an intense dream , one of many he had been having  lately . These dreams were leaving him restless and feeling anxious  . With a sigh , Saiai got out of bed and walked to the bathroom , he used the toilet  and washed his hands , once he was done Saiai walked back to the bed and sat down . He glanced at the clock  and it read 4:37 in the morning . It was too early to get ready to start the day and he was too keyed up to go back to sleep . He just laid  on the the bed next to Sora , who was sleeping peacefully with the stuffed bear Nori had given him . Saiai smiled wryly at the sight that melted his heart . Since Nori  gave the bear to Sora , he insisted on sleeping with it . Feeling somewhat calm , Saiai began to think about what it would be like if he and Nori were to get back together  . Would it be different this time ? Now that Nori had found the person responsible for hurting him and his family , he had no reason to hurt him , they could be happy . The more Saiai  thought about it , the more he realized that he wanted to give Nori an opportunity and become a happy family . His brows knitted as he thought about how Nori had changed and seemed intent on seducing him . He had to admit  , it was nice and made him feel wanted . Saiai turned to see the vase full of roses and smiled . Maybe it was time to let go of the past .

Hanna  looked at Daichi  and grinned .They were taking Sora out for a day of fun . First to the museum  then to the park , and then maybe the movies . Saiai agreed to it . He watched as they left  . They barely left and Saiai already missed his son . Needing to do something , Saiai decided to clean  , he had laundry to do to . So first thing he did was put a load . Next he put some chicken to boil , as it cooked  , Saiai began to clean . He took a small break to turn off the chicken and look for a snack , Saiai found what he was looking for  , some pecans to munch on . He grabbed a glass of cranberry juice and took a drink . Just then Saiai heard the doorbell ring . He went to answer the door  .

“Oh , uh ...hi . Nori “.

“Hello “.

“Come in “.

Saiai  closed the door as Nori came in . He took a look at Saiai and smiled  at what he wore . An old pair of sweatpants and an oversized shirt .

“Um...did I  come at a bad time “?

Saiai glanced at himself and chuckled  . “I was cleaning . Figured since Daichi and Hanna  took Sora out , I could catch up on some cleaning “.

“”Oh ,  okay . I didn't mean to bother you  “.

“No , that's  fine . Stay ? Please “?

“Okay  . Only if you don't mind “.

Sending Nori  a wry smile, Saiai shook his head .

“No , I  don't . In fact  I uh,I wanted to talk to you “.

Nori  froze as he thought the worst  .

“What's wrong “?

“Oh , nothing . Nothing bad at least “.

Nori visibly relaxed  . “Please don't scare me like that  . Anyway what did you want to talk about “?    

“I've  been thinking  , and I really want to let go of the past . If you still want , maybe  , then we could start over . So what do you think “?

“This , this is what you  want ? Are you sure “?

Saiai nodded  . “Yes . Sora deserves  both of his parents in his life , and well  to tell you the truth it's nice having attention myself  “.

Nori went over to Saiai and hugged him  .”You don't know how long I've waited to hear that ! I promise I will do whatever it takes to make you happy . I swear it “! Saiai  hesitantly hugged him back feeling like a weight was lifted off his shoulders .

Nori leaned over and  held the strawberry to Saiai  , who ate it and sighed .

“Mmm . Good “.

Nori  used his thumb  to wipe off some juice  that dribbled down his chin  . He then licked his thumb . “You're  right , but it tastes better on you “. Nori  leaned closer and licked Saiai on the chin . “Mmm. Yeah much better".  Saiai blushed as he tried to hide his face .

“Really  , don't do that , Nori “!

Nori smirked seeing the blush . They were at a park enjoying the beautiful  day . It was the perfect day for a picnic , so Nori suggested they go for one and enjoy the day . Daichi and Hanna  insisted on taking Sora out so they could spend some time together . When those two found out about Nori and Saiai getting back together  , both Daichi and Hanna were happy for them . Hanna herself almost squealed with happiness when she was told .

“It's  such a nice day . I'm  glad I agreed to the picnic “.

“You're  right , it's  a nice day , but the company  is better “.

He laid down and put his head on Saiai ‘s lap and looked at him . “I  still can't believe how lucky I am to have you “.

“I really want to make this  work “.

“Me  and Daichi  talked , and we decided  to move here . I wanna be close to you  , so I'm selling the house “.

“But that's  your family home , Nori  . You shouldn't do that ! We'll  still see each other “.

“ I know , but we already talked about this . That place --it just haves too many bad memories in it  . Kira would've wanted it that “.

Saiai  heaved a sigh sadly .

“If that's  what you want “.

Nori  couldn't  be happier  , he finally had what he wanted . His  husband and son back . His family was together at last  . They could leave the past behind and look forward to the future  .

They stood solemnly  as they looked at the headstone  . The movers had loaded the last of the things yesterday  and were on their way to the new house . Nori and Daichi  went to visit Kira before they left . Her loss still hurt him , and Nori  would always mourn her , but now he had a family .

“ You know I  will always miss you  .I hope that wherever you are , that you're happy  . I hope you are safe , Kira . I love you always “.

“Be at peace dear Kira  . Take care of our parents  . I hope you know much love , and much peace “.

Since her death both brothers  had only visited her grave a few times  . It was just too painful to be here . Just then they felt a sudden warmth and a surge of  pure happiness . They both frowned as they looked around and then at each other in confusion at first before  Nori smiled . He closed his eyes as he thought he caught the scent of Kira’s favorite perfume . “Kira “. He breathed out . Daichi  nodded. They felt her presence , it was her , both brothers were sure of it .

“She's  letting us know that she's  okay . I think she wants us to go on “.

Saiai  knelt on the grass as he stared at the tiny plaque  . He rubbed it lovingly as he smiled sadly , beside him Sora  sat as he looked at him .

“This , this is your big sister  , Kira , Sora . Daddy never had the chance to hold her  “. Saiai stopped as he took a deep breath . “I'm sure you both would've loved each other . Kira  , honey , I miss you even though I never even held you . I love you , hope grandpa is taking care of you  . Rest little one , and be at peace “.

A sudden  wind blew against Saiai and he thought he heard a child's  laughter . He glanced around just as he felt a surge of peace and happiness  . Saiai grabbed Sora who looked intently ahead of him . Saiai glanced in the direction and he saw his father , who held a baby in his arms  , next to him stood a woman with dark hair . She smiled at Saiai and looked at the baby . It was Kira , Nori and Daichi’s sister .

The trio  seemed to vanish and Saiai  blinked not sure if he saw right , but somehow  he got the feeling of extreme peace and happiness.  

“Let's  go , Sora  . Daddy's waiting  for us".
