TOKYO BOYS
Chapter 20

The process of moving into the den was smooth. Daisuke told Tachibana the truth about what happened with his parents and received his approval. That same afternoon he charmed his way to the Starbucks branch’s manager and got the job even though he had no experience and they didn’t have an opening. Knowing a large portion of their customers were either openly or secretly gay, the manager was convinced a face like Daisuke’s could draw in more regular customers.

Tachibana made up a nickname for the men that were leading two lives. The ones that during the day seemed like respected salary men with a woman and possibly even a family, while at night they were coming to 2-chome to ogle young gay boys and even bed some of them if they got lucky. Derived from the term ‘omnivore’ in Japanese, he called them “zassho”. Tachibana had told Daisuke that zassho were among the most perverted men he would ever meet and Daisuke came to learn he was right. Tachibana sure knew a lot of things.

What Tachibana didn’t know and was not told either, was that Daisuke developed a second career. Yoshimura set him up with the boss, and after a short discussion on the terms, Daisuke agreed to welcome “customers”. At a set time, right before his break, Daisuke received the “special” drink order. It was a cue to go to the back alley during the break. Most of the men who ordered the special were usually interested in giving Daisuke a blowjob. The teen already knew his body was driving the old perverts nuts, and wasn’t afraid of using it.

“You,” the boss said, gesturing at Daisuke to move closer. “You’re working for only a week and I’m drowning in requests. Here’s your first pay.” He handed the boy a hefty envelope. “Keep up the good work.”

Daisuke smiled and thanked him with a slight bow. He didn’t enjoy letting all the dirty old men touch his body, but getting so much money in one week made it worthwhile. Maybe he could even move out on his own soon.

“If you want even more money, we could have another arrangement…” the boss said.

Daisuke pondered for a moment. He knew that another arrangement meant full service, which likely included more than just giving and receiving a blowjob.

“I don’t know, boss… I’m quite expensive.” Daisuke grinned and put a cigarette in his mouth. He was about to take out his lighter, when the boss flickered a fire from his own and raised it to allow Daisuke to light the cigarette.

“We can discuss the details and the benefits…” The short, round man grinned back. “You’re so popular that I wouldn’t dream selling you cheap.”

“Really? That’s what he said?” Yoshimura asked as Daisuke finished recounting the scene.

“But if he gave me this much money… how much does he get to keep?” Daisuke leaned back in his chair.

They were sitting at the Starbucks after Daisuke’s shift ended. It was getting late, but the coffee shop was full of people as though it was the middle of the day.

“That’s only natural… You think it’s different for me?” Yoshimura shrugged.

“What if I worked alone? You know, I could go to Roppongi and seduce rich older women… it will be nicer than doing it with dirty old men…” Daisuke pondered aloud.

“You better not think about it…” Yoshimura said seriously. “The boss won’t take it lightly if you’re making money behind his back.”

“If I see I can get better money, I’ll just ditch him.” Daisuke shrugged.

Yoshimura chuckled. “You can’t just “ditch” the boss…”

“Sure I can.”

“Get the silly thoughts out of your head, playboy.” Yoshimura ruffled Daisuke’s hair playfully. “No one goes against the boss.”

“You make it sound like it’s the yakuza.”

“Well, you know… what do you think it is? A game?” Yoshimura shrugged.

“So what, I should just accept the second job he offered me? I won’t have any time to study or hang out with friends…”

Yoshimura played with his straw and didn’t look at the younger boy. “Well, you’ll have a lot of time for that if you lived on the streets, huh?”

“I guess that’s it for today,” Moriyama-sensei said when the last bell rang. “See you tomorrow.”

The students that weren’t on cleaning duty rushed outside to their clubrooms. Daisuke cleared his desk leisurely, putting some of the textbooks in his bag.

“Are you going to work?” Yuuto stood by his desk.

Daisuke took a glance at his watch. “Yeah.” He told Yuuto he got a job at the Starbucks, but naturally didn’t elaborate on the bonuses that came with it. Yuuto would only be worried and nag him endlessly.

“Are you sure you don’t want to stay at my place?” Yuuto asked. “Who are you staying with anyway?”

“I told you, I’m staying with a friend, don’t worry about it…” Daisuke whispered.

“Not that guy right? The one from Shinjuku?”

Daisuke hushed him, glancing at Moriyama-sensei who was still organizing his papers at his desk. The last thing he needed was the teacher suspecting anything.

“Sorry…” Yuuto bowed his head. His fingers clutched around his portfolio. “I’ll be going then… Daisuke…” he said silently.

“Hm?” Daisuke already zipped his schoolbag and got up.

“You have the key to my house… you know you’re always welcome,” the shorter boy said softly.

“Thank you, Yuu-chan… don’t worry about me, I’m doing fine.” Daisuke gave him a friendly pat and walked away.

“Hasabe-kun?” Moriyama-sensei stopped him on the way out.

Daisuke cringed and turned around, giving the teacher a wry smile. “Yes, sensei?”

“Is everything all right? I haven’t seen you in the club for a few days…” The teacher got up and looked at the other students in the room.

Yuuto quickly left the classroom. The students on cleaning duty were busy arguing among themselves and the teacher returned his eyes to Daisuke.

“I decided it’s better to quit.” Daisuke shrugged. “Let’s face it, I’m not an artist.”

“But you were getting better and seemed like you enjoyed yourself… are you sure you want to quit?” the teacher asked.

Daisuke grinned and leaned in a bit. “Sensei… do you want me to stay?”

He didn’t miss the brief crimson blush on the man’s cheeks.

“Don’t say silly things,” the teacher berated him. “I just think it’s better for every student to be in a club.”

Daisuke still smiled smugly. “Ah, sorry sensei… I’m just not like every student… and anyway, I got a part-time job. Instead of wasting time in clubs I don’t belong in, I decided to make some extra allowance.”

The teacher nodded quietly. “Well, I suppose that’s also a good experience. I’ll see you tomorrow then, Hasabe-kun.” He hurried to leave.

Daisuke continued grinning to himself. “He so wants me…”
