Let Loose and Go Crazy
Chapter Twenty: Letting Loose and Going Crazy
Leila jumped up from her sleep and groaned when a loud hissing sounded from somewhere. It was four o’clock in the morning and both Marc and Leila were peacefully asleep when an irritating hissing echoed disturbing the silent night.
Leila’s tired blue eyes snapped open when the hissing got louder and seemed closer. “What the hell is that?” she asked herself quietly.
She looked around the dark bedroom trying to decipher where the irritating noise was coming from when she felt something moving in her bed. She pulled the covers back and gasped when she saw a green snake in her bed.
She let out a string of loud shrieks and swatted the creature off her bed. Her blue eyes wide she peered over the edge of the bed when he door crashed open.
“What! What! What!” Marc came rushing through the door his tired violet eyes wide his hair tousled as he looked at her.
Leila was now standing on her bed. “Snake!” she shrieked pointing at the floor.
Marc looked where she showing and he frowned. He slowly made his way over to the small snake and picked it up. He sighed in relief. “Jesus, Leila. You scared the fuck out of me.”
“Marc, what are you doing? It could be poisonous.” She said her eyes on the snake in between his fingers.
“Relax, L, It’s just a green snake, it’s totally harmless.” He said taking a closer look at it.
Leila shuddered and watched as Marc ran his slender fingers over the smooth leathery skin of the snake which hissed in return.
“Uh, Marc that thing is changing colour.” She told him and observed as Marc nodded a smile on his face.
“Yeah, I know. They turn blue or turquoise when they’re excited.” He told her his eyes snapping up to meet hers. Leila blinked when he smiled suggestively at her. “Touch it.” He said holding the reptile out to her.
“No, get that thing away from me.” she said jumping back.
“Come on, Leila. It won’t bite.” He assured her but Leila wasn’t convinced.
“I don’t care; look at the size of that thing.” She said with distaste.
“It’s not that big, come on just touch it.”
“No. I’m scared” Marc rolled his eyes.
“It’s totally harmless, there’s nothing to be afraid of, I promise.” Leila slowly reached out a gently poked it and snake
hissed.
Leila jumped back with a squeal. “See, it just hissed at me.”
Marc arched a brow. “Well if you poke it of course it’s going to hiss at you. Stroke it.” He said and Leila shook her head.
“No.”
“Come on just a little.” He pleaded and she shook her head. “Please, just one finger?”
“Would you quit playing with it?”
Marc grinned. “You know, I’ve had dates like this.” Leila laughed.
“I’m not even going to ask.” She said giggling.
“Good, trust me you really don’t wanna know.” He assured her with a charming smile.
“Give me your hand.” He asked quietly looking into her eyes intently.
Leila held his gaze but hesitated. “Do you trust me?” he asked and she nodded. Marc smiled and reached over taking her small hands in his larger one their eyes never parting. “Just focus on my eyes okay, don’t be afraid.” He assured her slowly guiding her hand towards the snake.
Leila gasped as her fingers lightly brushed against the smooth skin of the snake. She tried to pull back when the snake began thrashing around. “It can sense your fear Leila, just relax, babe.” He whispered soothingly to her.
Leila did just that her dainty fingers slowly stroking the snake which calmed allowing her to feel the leathery texture of its 14 inch body.
“Wow...that’s smooth.” She said now freely touching the reptile she was terrified of seconds ago.
Marc grinned gently slipping the snake into her hands so she was fully holding it on her own. “I think it likes you.” He said in hushed tone. Leila met his eyes and grinned at him now free of her fear.
“Thank you.” She mumbled looking down at the snake curling around her fingers.
“Don’t be so afraid of everything, Leila. Your fear will only hold you back and cloud your judgment.” Leila looked up at him again blue eyes met violet ones. There was something about the way he said her name that sent shivers cascading down her spine.
Pushing that feeling out of her mind she smiled. “Maybe we should let this one get back to its wild nature, huh?” Marc nodded and gently took the snake from between her fingers. He strode over to the window and leaned out of it to place the snake down safely.
Leila couldn’t help but notice how his muscles flexed with each movement. He was wearing a pair of Armani boxers. She blushed when she realised her eyes were sneakily stealing glances of his shapely behind.
Marc straightened once he let the snake free. He turned and found Leila was shifting from foot to foot nervously. “You okay?” he asked taking a step towards her.
“Yeah, I just realised how hot it is.” Marc looked at her blankly.
“I know it’s almost impossible to fall asleep. I think I’m gonna go for a dip in the ocean, cool off a little.” Leila frowned.
“At this time?” she asked curiously.
“Yeah why?” Marc asked frowning.
She shrugged. “Nothing, I’ve never known anyone to go for a swim at five in the morning, that’s all.”
“Wait, you’ve never gone for a midnight dip before?” he questioned and Leila shook her head.
“Wow, really?” he asked again. She nodded. “Alright, you’re in for treat Leila Callaway. Get your swimming suit on, we are going for a swim.”
Leila blinked. “But-” she said but Marc cut her off.
“-No buts,” He said silencing her. “You have to let loose and go crazy. That’s why we’re here right?” Leila nodded.
“Yeah, you’re right.”
Marc grinned and stepped closer to her. Leila’s eyes widened when he stood so close to her she could feel the heat radiating off of him. “I’m going to show you my way of living, Leila. Are you up for going crazy?” He drawled.
Leila gulped. “How crazy are we talking here?”
Marc smirked. “As crazy as it gets no questions, no doubts.” Leila considered this but found herself agreeing. “You let go of everything.”
“You’re on.” She said with a smile.
“Great, this will be one hell of a vacation. Meet you out there.” He said and walked off. Leila watched him walk out and felt a bubble of excitement in her stomach...something she hasn’t felt in a very long time.
Leila stepped out on the beach the black sky was filled with stars. The moonlight bouncing off the water, she let out a nervous breath before dipping her toe in the water and shivering when she found it was cold.
She took a step back and bit her lip her blue eyes scanning the area looking for Marc who was nowhere to be seen. She gasped
when she was instantly lifted off the ground and swept into a pair of strong arms.
“Marc, what are you doing?” she asked, automatically wrapping her arms around his neck.
“You we’re hesitating.” She said narrowing his eyes at her.
“Yeah, because the water’s free-ZING!” she hadn’t even realised they were walking until the cool water swirled around them
catching her breath. “Shit, it’s c-cold.” She shivered in his arms clinging to him using his body heat to warm her a little.
“You still cold?” he whispered into her ear after a few minutes and got his answer when Leila shivered again.
“Mmhm.” She mumbled goose bumps breaking out all over her body when his hot breath tickled her neck.
“Come on, let’s swim you’ll get warmer if you move around.” He said letting go of her and stepping back.
Leila gasped when his body heat vanished and she was left with nothing but the icy water surrounding her. Marc began swimming and she reluctantly followed teeth clattering all the while. The deeper the water got the colder it became.
Leila swam back toward the shore only stopping when her feet touched the sand. The water was warmer now so she relaxed and only then did she realise that Marc wasn’t around. Her blue eyes scanned the area in search for him.
“Marc?” she called out her voice echoing in the night. She heard nothing in response to her call. “Marc?” she tried again
louder this time and still heard nothing. By this point her heart began beating frantically. “MARC!” she yelled. She was terrified that he might have drowned or something. A few meters away she heard a splashing and her blue eyes caught a glimpse
of his blond hair before it disappeared under the water. He was drowning, “Oh my god.” She instantly dived under and swam over to where he was.
Once she reached him she pulled him up to the surface gasping filling her lungs with air before she swam to shore. All the while silently thankful for all those swimming lessons her father gave her when she was seven.
She gently placed Marc on the sand tilted his head back listened for his breathing and panicked when she heard nothing. “SHIT, don’t do this to me, please!” she cried instantly tilting his head back, she pinched his nose and parted his lips before pressing her own to his gently ready to do CPR. She blew in two breaths each for a second and watched as his chest rose a little she pulled back and listened for his breathing. Nothing! She placed her hands at his chest and began pumping counting to 30.
“Breathe, damn it...breathe!” she cried tears falling from her eyes. She tried again and to her relief Marc began coughing and sputtering. She gently turned his head to the side to dispose the water he swallowed.
Marc opened his eyes and looked at a teary Leila. Upon seeing his gorgeous violet eyes she threw herself at him. “Thank god!” she mumbled into the crook of his neck.
Marc wrapped his arms around her still panting trying to get his breathing back to normal. He frowned when he realised she was shaking and sobbing into his shoulder. “Leila...” he called out quietly his voice raspy.
Leila pulled her head back and looked down at him. He reached up wiping her tears away his fingers lingering on her skin caressing them softly. “I was so scared I would lose you.” She said quietly.
Marc smiled tightly. “You didn’t. You saved me.” he said before curling his fingers around her neck and bringing her lips to his for a chaste kiss. “Thank you.” He whispered both their eyes still closed lips a breath apart.
“You’re welcome, as long as you never scare me like that again, or next time, I’ll let your sorry ass drown.” She said opening her eyes when she heard him laugh.
She smiled pressing her forehead against his. “You got it, you will it and I won’t step a foot within water again.” He said opening his eyes and catching her eyes.
“That won’t be necessary; you’ll just have to have supervision, and remain at all time’s where your feet touch the seabed.” Marc chuckled.
“Yes mother.” Marc quipped and Leila scowled at him.
“Marc you could have died. What the hell happened, do you not know how to swim?” Marc looked amused.
“Of course I know how to swim. I was on the swim team in high school. I just got a cramp in my leg that’s all.” He explained and Leila shook her head. “Look at the bright side at least now we’re even.” Leila shook her head.
“Marc you took a bullet for me, we’re nowhere near even. All I did was give you mouth to mouth.” She said sitting upright and blushed when she realised she was straddling his waist.
“I’m alive aren’t I?” he replied propping himself on his elbows. She nodded and made to move off of him when he stopped her. “Saving a life is saving a life whichever way you do it.” He said brushing wet strands of hair away from her face.
“If you say so,” she said with a soft smile. “I’m going to take a shower and go to bed.” She said dropping a kiss on his forehead. “Goodnight.” She whispered slipping off of him.
“Goodnight.” Marc said in return and watched as she took off into the house. He fell back on the sand with a heavy sigh and looked up at the sky which was getting lighter.
Leila slipped into the bathroom and closed the door behind her. Leaning on it she closed her eyes and touched her mouth gingerly a lazy smile pulling at her lips. Shaking her head she stripped off her bathing suit and had a nice luke warm shower and went to bed instantly falling asleep.
The next afternoon came as quickly as Leila closed her eyes. The birds began chirping happily, the distant voices of other beach-goers pulled Leila out of her sleep. She turned on her back hoping to drift off again but found she couldn’t.
She sat up and stretched her arms over head before she stepped out of bed. Half asleep she made it to the bathroom; she washed her face and brushed her teeth. After pulling her hair into a messy pony tail she walked out of the bathroom to make herself some coffee.
A while later with a hot mug of coffee in between her fingers Leila stepped out onto the front deck sighing when the soft breeze brushed across her body. In the corner of her eye she noticed Marc was asleep on the hammock, his muscular arm thrown over his eyes and the other resting on his stomach covering his abs.
She smiled and moved over to him, she let her eyes wander taking in every curve every ripple of muscle her eyes could catch a glimpse of. She licked her lips recalling the kiss he gave her early hours in the morning. She never thought his lips would have felt so soft against her own, but they did. Almost like silk the way they slid over hers for the brief second they were pressed together.
She involuntarily shivered and placed her coffee mug down before she moved closer to the hammock Marc was asleep on. She smiled and plucks a flower closest to her which was a white lily. She bit on her bottom lip before lowering the flower to his arm; she very slowly brushed the petal up his arm.
Marc stirred pulling the arm he had thrown over his face and dropping it to his side before falling back to sleep again, his face turned to face Leila. She delicately swept the soft petals down his chest this time carefully tracing every line of his pecks and abs. Marc stirred again but this with a soft groan.
Leila stopped for a second to check he was asleep, when she noticed his breathing deepened she continued to brush the flower down his stomach until she reached the hem on his shorts. Her eyes followed the white petal on the lily and her eyes widened when she noticed the tent in his shorts.
She blushed and was about to pull away and leave him to sleep when she heard him speak. “Leila.” he moaned huskily. Leila’s eyes snapped up to his face and found his eyes were still closed; he was asleep and aroused which meant he was dreaming about her. Suddenly she wished she could see what he was dreaming about; she wanted to know what she did to make him moan the way he did. She wanted to be in that dream with him.
When she felt that familiar ache between her legs she quickly backed away from Marc and scurried into the house. She leaned against her bedroom door her cheeks flushed, feeling extremely flustered. Marc moaning her name echoing in her mind over and over again. She shook her head desperately trying to clear her mind of images of them being together, touching, kissing, and having sex. She wanted to feel his hard body pressed against her intimately “Oh god.” She mumbled her blue eyes wide.
She quickly dashed out of her room rushing to the bathroom so she could wash her face and cool off when she bumped straight into Marc.
“Whoa, where’s the fire?” he asked a small smile on his face. Leila strained to breathe, for some reason Marc looked different, his eyes were bluer his smile sexier and his body looked even more gorgeous. He was screaming sex. Marc frowned when he saw Leila looking at him blankly. “Are you okay, why are you so flushed?” he asked with concern.
Leila blinked and shook her head. “I-I’m fine, I’m just feeling hot.” She answered trying to keep the tremor from her voice. She turned and headed for the bathroom, leaning over the basin, splashing herself with cold water.
Marc walked into the bathroom brushing past her as he did so. A shiver ran up Leila’s spine causing her to quiver. Marc began brushing his teeth while Leila brushed her hair. She heard him chuckle and glanced down at him. “What’s funny?”
He washed out his mouth and flashed a sexy smile. “Look at us, we’re like a married couple.” Leila blinked a blush forming on her cheeks. If they were a married couple she would be doing something to relieve the ache between her legs instead of standing there blushing and gawking at him like a hormonal teenager.
She returned his smile and walked out of the bathroom putting some distance between them before she jumped him.
She walked into the kitchen and was currently bent over refrigerator looking for something cold to drink. She pulled out a red bull and opened it before sipping some. The cold liquid cooling her insides as it went down. She jumped when she heard Marc coughing behind her; he rushed towards her and took the red bull quickly gulping it down.
She scowled at him. “Hey.” She said taking it back from him when he was done. She frowned deeper when he can was almost half empty.
“Have you tried those berries outside, they taste like ass.” He shuddered. Leila couldn’t help but giggle.
“Mm, I did, I almost threw up yesterday after eating one.” Marc chuckled shaking his head his gaze lingered on her for a moment as though he remembered something. Leila figured he was recalling the dream he had about her. Was he picturing her naked? She suddenly felt self conscious and blushed crimson when her mind pictured him in the nude.
Marc’s gaze was intense; Leila noticed lust and desire burning in his violet eyes. She swallowed hard squeezing her legs together to get rid of that dull ache she got every time she looked at him. It was like she was in heat. She wanted him and allowed her lust to take over her; she took a step closer to him their eyes never leaving the other.
She noticed his jaw clench when she pressed her body into his. He swallowed hard his Adam’s apple bopping as he did so. God even that was turn on! Pushing away the nervous feeling in her stomach she pressed her lips to his relishing in the touch one more. She pulled back to looked up at him see what his reaction was. He just looked at her his eyes a mixture of confusion and desire.
Leila was ready to apologise when Marc curled his fingers around her neck bringing her mouth to his sealing them together once more. Leila felt her head spin when his tongue teased hers sensually; she moaned pleasantly placing one of her hands at his chest while the other grasped his shoulder blade.
An innocent kiss seconds later turned into a full blown, lust filled make out session. Marc lifted Leila into his arms with ease before placing her on top of the worktop all the while his lips never leaving her neck. “Leila.” He breathed nipping at her ear causing her to shudder in his arms.
“Mmm.” She moaned wrapping her legs around his waist while he continued to nip and lick her.
“Leila?” Leila blinked snapping out of her daydream when Marc snapped his fingers in front of her face. She looked at him wide eyed and shook her head. “Where did you go, you completely zoned out on me?” Marc asked regarding her curiously.
“Uhm...sorry.” she mumbled grinning sheepishly “I was just thinking. What were you saying?” Marc chuckled.
“I was telling you about this party tonight, I was wondering if you wanted to check it out?” he asked leaning on the counter.
“What party?” Leila asked busying herself to keep her mind from wandering again.
Marc watched as Leila shuffled around the kitchen. “I think it’s a beach party, I got to talking to this girl earlier and she invited us.” Leila stopped rummaging through the cupboards and looked back at Marc with a scowl.
“What girl, when?” she asked quickly and winced when her tone came off as a little possessive. Marc frowned.
“I met her on the beach when I went for a swim. She was having trouble keeping her deck chair up so I gave her a hand. Her names Ella Summers, she’s here from England with a bunch of her friends.” Leila hated Ella already though she wasn’t sure why. She stopped to ponder this and fell quiet for a moment until she heard Marc’s voice. “So, you wanna go then?”
“Yeah, sure whatever.” She shrugged indifferently and walked out of the kitchen. Marc watched her for a moment with a frown before shaking his head and walked out himself.
The rest of the day Leila and Marc spend lazing around on the beach. After the sun went down they went back to the house to get ready for the beach party.
Leila huffed knocking on the bathroom door for the fourth time. “Marc, hurry up. I need to use the bathroom.” She called through the door.
“What?!” Marc called back through the scattering water.
“I need to use the bathroom, hurry up already!” she retorted louder this time.
“Well, use it then.” He called back to her. Leila rolled her eyes. “No one’s stopping you.”
“You did not just invite me into your shower.”
“Leila, I can’t hear you babe. If you need to use the bathroom the door is unlocked.” She sighed and turned the door knob opening the door. Almost instantly the scent of Marc’s shampoo and body wash filled her senses. She poked her head in.
“Are you decent?” she asked and heard him chuckle.
“I’m in the shower, how decent do you expect me to be.” Leila smiled despite her annoyance and stepped in further closing the door behind her.
“Oh shut up, you know what I meant.” Marc chuckled again. “I feel like I’m back at home, with Jaiden hogging up the bathroom for hours and hours. You’re like a bunch of women, I swear.” She said looking through her make-up bag.
“Leila, you wanna use the shower by all means hop in, there’s room in here for two.” Leila blushed but grinned when she detected the amusement in his voice.
“Oh yeah, that for sure would make your day wouldn’t it?” she giggled running her fingers through her hair while looking the mirror.
“Absolutely, I haven’t had a tryst in the shower in a very long time.” He said roguishly. Leila licked her lips picturing that. She snapped out of that thought when she heard the shower curtain pull back Marc’s head poked out looking at her with a smirk on his face. “Maybe we can change that, hmm?” Leila arched a brow at him. “No?” he asked again.
“Oh sure, just give me a second to strip off.” She smiled sultrily at him. Marc rolled his eyes.
“You tease.” He said closing the curtain again and continuing with his shower. “Looks like I’m gonna have to resort to plan B.” Leila frowned.
“Which is?” she questioned curiously taking a seat on the toilet seat to paint her toe nails.
“Let’s just say one lady is going to get reeeaaal lucky tonight.” He drawled. “After almost a week of no action, papa’s ready to blow.”
Leila grimaced suppressing the bubble of jealousy coiling through her. “Is that it, a week? Try two months.” She said with a sigh. Suddenly images of her and Chase flooded her memory. She somehow managed to push him to the back of her mind for a few days. God she missed him.
“Two months.” Marc whistled. “Hell I’d be humping everything in sight like a bitch in heat, if that were me.” He said with a chuckle.
“You have no idea.” She mumbled quietly to herself.
“What was that?” Marc asked not quite hearing her through the running water.
She grinned mischievously. “Nothing, but hey maybe I can help put your fire out?” She suggested impishly.
Marc was silent for a moment before speaking. “And how exactly are you going to do that?” he asked his voice stiff.
“I have my ways.” She said resisting the urge to giggle when her fingers hovered above button to flush the toilet.
“Okay...” he said uncertainly. Leila pushed the button and the toilet flushed she giggled when a second later Marc yelped.
“Fuck!” he muttered impulsively jumping out of the shower when the icy water hit his flesh. Leila who had been laughing stopped her eyes falling on the six foot naked hunk standing in front of her. Her blue eyes were wide as they began flying all over his body taking in every inch of his gorgeous body which looked even more scrumptious when naked and dripping wet.
She swallowed hard turning a nice shade of pink. Marc who was scowling before smirked when he noticed her stare at him lustfully. “Like what you see?” he asked waywardly grinning when she peeled her eyes away from his manhood meeting his eyes.
She somehow recovered and smirked. “I’ve seen better.” She said coolly but Marc saw straight through her bluff.
He licked his lips before answering. “Of course you have.”
She grinned. “If I knew that’s all it took for you vacate the shower I would have done it a lot sooner.” Marc arched a brow.
He shook his head. “Well I hope it was worth it.”
Leila openly gave him the once over before cocking her head to the side. “Oh it was.” Marc flashed a sexy smile before pulling the towel from the railing and threw it over his shoulder.
“Well, I’m glad. Just remember you started this.” He said before he turned and walked off giving her an open view of his taut ass. Leila groaned when he disappeared out of sight.
By the time the two got ready for the party it was past ten. Marc looked down at his watch and sighed. As it was a beach party it didn’t take long for Marc to pull on a pair of quarter length shorts and a white shirt which he left unbuttoned. “Leila, come on, it’s gone past ten.” He called out leaning on the door.
“Keep your hair on, I’m coming.” She called back through her bedroom door.
Marc rolled his eyes. “You’ve been saying that for the past twenty minutes.”
“Well, this time I mean it.” She hollered back. A minute later her door opened and she stepped out.
Marc lazily lifted his eyes from the floor and glanced at her before turning away and closing his eyes. “Wow.” He mumbled looking back at her again.
Leila was wearing a white bikini with a white skirt and sandals. She looked simple but breathtaking, her long dark her was pulled back into a tight ponytail a pair of silver hoop earrings dangling from her ears.
“Well, are we going or what?” she asked arching a brow. Marc nodded after he was done gawking at her and pulled her out of the house.
****
“Marc!” A shrill screamed made the duo jump as soon as they stepped into the party. A tall brunette came rushing towards Marc and embraced him easily reaching him what with her being lanky. “I’m so glad you made it.” She said grinning at him.
Marc smiled back at her. “I promised I’d come didn’t I?” he said charmingly. The brunette noticed Leila and her green eyes widened. “Oh my god, Leila Callaway.” She said in a thick British accent.
Marc noticed Leila shift uneasily beside him. “Lei, this is Elle Summers, Elle... Leila.” He introduced and the two girls shook hands.
“Oh my gawd, I love your Dad he’s so fucking hot. Hey do you think your parents would consider a three way?” she asked her green eyes lighting up.
Leila frowned. “Last I check my parents were pretty happy with their sex life so...I’m guessing no.” Marc chuckled when she shuddered at the thought of her parents in a three way.
“Oh well, never mind ay? Come on I have a few friends that are just dying to meet you both.” Ellen said taking Marc’s hand and pulling him with her.
Marc slipped his fingers into Leila’s lacing their fingers together as he pulled her along with him. In a matter of minutes Leila's names was on everybody’s lips. Guys were drooling over her where as girls were glaring and sneering with envy or because their boyfriends were drooling.
“Oi, you fuck head’s,” Elle said as they neared a group of guys and girl. “This is Marc and Leila. You two these knuckle heads are my mates. That’s Yazmin and Trevor...” she gestured to a pretty blonde sitting with a muscular black guy who smiled. “That’s Ben.” She said pointing to a tall skinny brunette who winked at Leila with a grin. “Dean.” She said gesturing to the shorter guy with piercing blue eyes that would put Jaiden and Dayne’s to shame. “And Christina,” She finished pointing at a girl identical to herself. “Yeah, she’s my twin. If you have trouble telling us apart just remember she’s the ugly one.” Christina scowled at her sister.
“Yeah and she’s the loose one.” She spat her green eyes glaring at Elle who grinned and flipped her off.
Leila and Marc laughed at the two bickering at each other. “Right, so let’s get you two drunk shall we?” Elle said as a tray of tube things came to the table. Leila and Marc exchanged looks before taking one and downing the liquid.
Leila cringed as the alcohol burnt her insides going down. Marc had the same look on his face when he looked down at Leila and they laughed at each other. “Come on, it gets better I promise.” Elle said handing the two another round.
Five rounds later Marc and Leila were ready to party. The crowd roared once the D.J announced that Leila Callaway was at the party and being pulled to the dance floor. A swarm of guys crowded around Leila instantly as she tried to dance with her new friends.
Her eyes found Marc’s in the crowd who was dancing with currently dancing with Elle but his eyes remaining on her at all times. Leila gasped when someone grabbed her from behind wrapping their sweat drenched arms around her forcing her to grind with him.
Leila struggled against his hold and winced when he tightened his hold around her. “Get off me.” she whimpered trying to elbow him. She looked up in a panic when her eyes met a pair of violet ones standing in front of her.
Whoever it was that had Leila instantly backed off when Marc sent him a stern glare. Pulling Leila aside and with one quick motion Marc punched the guy firmly in jaw knocking him out cold. He turned back to Leila concern evident in his eyes. “You alright?” he asked pulling her into his chest. Leila nodded snuggling into his warmth. After the statement Marc’ punch made no one approached Leila again, and Marc never left her side.
The pair were dancing together completely wasted when ‘Shayne Ward’ If That’s Okay With You.’ began tearing through the speakers. Marc was singing along to the lyrics looking into her eyes as they swayed together.
“We’ll keep the neighbours awake too late, too late cause I’m gonna make you feel so good, that’s how I see it happening. Baby I wanna step up and be with you. I’m gonna make you feel like you’re heaven on earth, I’m gonna thank your mother just for giving you birth. I’m gonna wanna hold you in my arm when you cry, if that’ okay with you!” Leila grinned up at him and he smiled sexily in return before he lifted her into his arms and spun her around.
“Oh god, I totally forgot to call my parent’s.” She said her words only slightly slurred. Marc placed her back on her feet and checked the time. “I should call them.”
“It’s 4 in the morning,” Marc said with a frown.
Leila shook her head. “I know silly, but California’s eight hours behind remember?” Marc grinned.
“Right, so then it’s like eight in the evening there. Let’s go find someplace quiet where you can call.” Marc said taking her arm ready to pull her away from the crowd when Elle came rushing over to them almost tripping over her own feet.
“Hey, don’t go yet.” She said tugging on Marc’s arm.
“Oh, we’re not leaving yet. We’re just-” Leila cut him off answering Elle herself.
“-Gonna find someplace quiet to-” Elle cut her off with a grin.
“Ha, you two are gonna shag, aren’t ya?” she asked with a giggle. Leila and Marc exchanged looks. “Just come back to the party
after you’re done.” She said with a suggestive wink and scampered off.
Leila looked up at Marc, “Marc, what doe’s shag mean?” she asked in a drunken stupor.
“I don’t have a bloody clue.” He said looking down at her when he heard her giggle.
“You totally just sounded like Ben.” She giggled hysterically. Marc threw his arm over her shoulder and they sauntered down the beach to find someplace quiet to call Leila’s parents.
888
California... ten minutes earlier.
“Dude, someone’s at the door.” Jaiden mumbled looking at the T.V with great concentration.
“Yeah I know.” Dayne answered in the small manner his fingers flying over the Xbox controller.
“Well go get it then.” Jaiden said never taking his eyes off the game.
Dayne scoffed. “No way, you go.”
“Hell no, you go.”
“You heard it, you go.” Dayne said narrowing his blue eyes when the door bell began chiming again.
The boys paused the game and looked at each other before doing rock paper scissors. Dayne did scissors while Jaiden did paper.
“Smack that, bitch!” Dayne grinned in triumph. Jaiden glowered at his brother before jogging over to the door and letting in a very irritated looking Chase.
“About time, I’ve been standing out here for the past ten minutes.” Chase mumbled walking through the house.
“Sorry about that, we didn’t hear the door.” Jaiden said grinning sheepishly as he plopped back on the sofa and took his controller.
Dayne looked up when he saw Chase and nodded. “Hey man, what you doing here?” he asked his blue eyes glued to the T.V.
“Nothing, I was bored. Is Leila around?” he asked and both Jaiden and Dayne froze and exchanged looks with each other.
Chase frowned noticing the look the brothers shared. “Um, actually she’s not.”Jaiden said quickly.
“Well where is she?” he asked again.
Dayne cleared his throat. “She’s gone away for a while.” He said stiffly.
Chase frown deepened. “Gone away where?” the boys remained silent and Chase was losing his cool.
Dayne opened his mouth to speak when the phone rang. “Oh look the phone.” He said standing to answer it.
“Leave it,” Chase said his brown eyes glaring at the two boys. “I’m going to ask you boys again, where is Leila?” Jaiden and Dayne exchanged looks again when Leila’s voice filtered through the room.
“Hey guys, I’m guessing no one’s home.” She said with a giggle. Chase recognised that noise and knew she was drunk. “I’m jus callin to check in, I’m totally fine. We’re having so much fun—(squeal) Marc put me down. (giggles) i jus wanted to tell you guys, Marc and I decided to spend the rest of the summer here.” Leila stops and laughs loudly, Marc’s laugher echoing in the background. “Marc stop!” She shrieks and laughs for a few seconds. “Anyway I gotta go I’ll call again soon byeeee...ha ha ha ha Marc!” the phone goes dead.
Dayne and Jaiden buried her heads in their hands ready for what’s coming. “Marc?” Chase asked his voice hoarse showing his state of anger, “Marc, she with MARC!”
