Chapter 20
As soon as the sun went down later that day, Shi's eyes snapped open. It felt as if his insides were burning and twisting with hunger! The youngling practically screamed at the feeling, writhing, and clawing at anything within reach.
Being Turned always had different effects on different people. Shi happened to be a very....hungry youngling, to put it lightly.
Novus however, took much longer to wake. Perhaps his subconcious did not want to have to wake, and deal with yet another very troubling night, as all his other nights in this new life had been. His cold fingers had a solid grip on Blaine, as if the young Diabolizer was afraid Blaine would leave, or get taken away.
The Prince had woken before the sun went down, packing and generally getting ready to leave. He moved silently, not wishing to wake Demonic just yet.
Spike, throughout the day, could be heard yelling at various times, cursing the heavens. This was not what he had wanted.
Turner, suspecting Shi may be hungry when he awoke took the liberty of going out as the sun was setting to aquire a meal for the youngling. Another female, close to his age. He led her by the hand and lightly pushed the broken-minded girl to Shi. "Feast, youngling."
Blaine, still deep in his sleep, wrapped his arms around Novus tightly, afraid that if his arms were to move, Novus would be hurt. He remained asleep however, exhausted from the previous nights events.
Demonic rolled over, the covers slipping down just enough to give the barest glimpse of dark fuzz nestled inbetween his legs. His eyes fluttered open. He watched the Prince with a curiosity rivaling that of a puppy's. Suddenly, realiztion kicked in and he was up, pulling on his clothes and helping the Prince pack his things. "Do you have any idea as to where we're going, love?"
Shi grabbed at the young woman, obviously lacking in any self control at this point. He immediately latched onto her mouth with his and ripped the girl's soul from her body, killing her. This method was far from ideal, for Shi could not consume the whole soul this way, only most of it, the rest only tattered shreds that would not be able to regenerate. After he swallowed down the soul did his teeth sink into the girl's neck, quickly draining her before the blood cooled. Once Shi finished he clung to Turner, his only slightly warm fingers gripping the fabric of the elder's clothes. Shi hid his face, burying it in Turner's chest. He gritted his teeth from the pain caused by the slight jolt of power attained every time he diabolized someone. Humans, he barely gained anything from. But if he got his hands on other incubi, or even vampires...if they let their gaurd down he could easily rip the souls from their mouths. "Master," Shi gasped, the rush pretty much over, "I want more."
Aydrien paused with what he had been doing, but only briefly. "The feet of the Himalayas, northern side," he told Demonic, continuing on with his packing. The Prince had a hidden living place there. Civilization was far enough away that the place went generally unbothered, but close enough that it did not take much traveling to acquire a meal or two. "We shall stay there for a little while, then return to one of the cities I govern."
Turner sat there, still curious as he watched Shi feed. The things this young one, barely a two day old Diabolizer could do would please the Prince, he knew, but like he was going to take Shi to the Prince. Mentally, he made a note to always be ready to defend himself around Shi. Slowly he nodded in reply. "Yes, we shall go out. Put on some more... clean clothes and we shall set out. The night is ours, as it always has been and always will be." He smiled comfortingly at Shi.
De nodded. "Sounds peaceful." He gently caught Aydrien's wrist. "Peaceful enough for me to do some things to you that I've been dying to do..." He smiled sensually and bent to give Aydrien a kiss.
"What should I wear?" Shi asked, almost innocently. He didn't have his thing here in this house, after all. "Maybe we could stop by my place and get my things while we're out tonight?" Shi had a few nice outfits back at his apartment. Certain gentlemen callers had bought him things, for Shi loved to dress nicely.
Aydrien studied De, a little wide-eyed. "Oh...? And what would those be?" he asked, trying not to smile as he teased.
Turner nodded. "Certaintly. We'll go there first then. Go and wash up. I'll be waiting out here." He smiled again. Turner wasn't really the most handsome man around, but he did have his charm. He was bad to look at, but his appearance, pale skin and pale eyes surrounded by long dark hair, did offset most people.
De chuckled. "Oh, you'll see..." he remarked just before closing the distance between them with a deep kiss.
Shi nodded, pulling himself away from Turner and heading for the washroom. He almost unblinkingly studied himself in the mirror as he cleaned up, looking with his new eyes. His skin was fair and luminous, adding to his natural seductive qualities. His mind also wandered over Turner's appearance. Definitely a bit intimidating yes, but Shi nonetheless found him to be beautiful. Was that just because Turner was his master?
After about ten minutes Shi returned to his master. "I cleaned up as best I could. I am ready to go out," he announced, his skin quite clean indeed. But his clothes, unfortunately, were still stained with blood.
Aydrien indulged in the kiss for a little bit, but pulled away from Demonic after not too long. "De...we must go. We should not linger in this place any longer..." the Prince pointed out, gathering his things. Anything else he might need that he could not carry, Laepheus and a few servants would bring it by the cottage at a later time.
Turner nodded his approval. "Very well. Now, we shall be off to your home." Without giving Shi much time to think about it, he grabbed him and held him close as he shadowphased, sinking straight down. His home rarely held any light in it at all. The flare from the lamps hurt his sensitive eyes.
De nodded. "Of course," he said gathering things quickly so Aydrien would not have to carry so much. De was strong in his human life, able to lift and carry twice as much as any man in this village. Now, however, in his immortal life, De was considered a great warrior and had been offered various positions in reserve armies. He had, of course, turned every one of them down, concerned only with finding his love.
Shi gasped at the sudden phasing, for he hadn't been expecting it. He wasn't very skilled in the ways of shadowphasing yet....he could go short distances, but nothing more. He held tightly to his Master, eyes wide as he tried his best to pay attention to how Turner navigated the shadows.
Having gathered what he needed for now, Aydrien looked to Demonic and smiled slightly. "Ready to go...?" he asked. "Hold on tight. We have a long trip ahead of us."
Turner looked around, eyes squinted, as he regained his bearings. He'd only shadowphased out of Shi's home, not into it. A few seconds later, he made his way through the shadows with ease. To him, the shadow realm was just the opposite of the lit realm. It was more like home to him anyway. Barely a minute later, he emerged out of the floor in Shi's bedroom. He looked around, noting the door that had been torn off of it's hinges, laying in tatters on the opposite side of the threshold. He pursed his lips. "The work of my prodigy..."
De smiled back and nodded. "I'll always be ready to be by your side in peace." He linked his arm around Aydrien's and did as told. He couldn't help but smile to himself. Perhaps, they would be left alone, like they used to be. They would lie in bed for hours and hours on end, content to just lie in one another's arms.
Shi stood still for a moment, deep blue eyes scanning the room. The room where he had died. After a minute he realized he wasn't even breathing. So he didn't even need air anymore....? The youngling shook his head, deciding it was a bit depressing but that he also didn't care. Shi headed for his small wardrobe in the corner of his small room, quickly gathering his best outfits. He laid them out on the table, planning to change out of his bloodied clothes before they headed back out. "Which one should I wear...?" the youngling asked his Master. Two of the outfits were of the lovely, male aristocratic style, with lace at the ends of the sleeves and everything. One was a deep velvety blue, the other was a light, spring green. The third outfit was obviously meant for a woman, which Shi masqueraded as sometimes. It was a flowing, corsetted dress, in a deep purple color.
With a confident chuckle Aydrien ran. He could run so fast it near bordered on being able to teleport. The scenery blurred by so fast, it would be difficult even for a vampire to catch any details. Within only a few minutes they were at the clearing in front of the small, but cozy cabin at the foot of the Himalayas. Glancing at De and smiling, Aydrien headed inside and set what he had been carrying down. "Please, light some candles and a fire, if you will," he requested, even though he had no trouble seeing in the dark.
Turner couldn't help but laugh at the dress. It wasn't a teasing laughter, more of a surprisingly amused laughter. As he pictured Shi in the dress, the picture became more appetizing. Why? Turner had never really gotten into men the way Blaine had. Sure, men make great companions, but Turner had never really thought that way about them. Just to see where the night would take him, he gestured to the dress. "Knock yourself out, Shi," he said smiling.
De followed Aydrien into the house and set the things he had beside those that Aydrien had. He turned to the fireplace. Having been a sort of a mage in his human life, De lit the fire with ease, needing to only touch the wood with a graceful hand and a barely heard word of incantation. He did the same with the candles, and soon was illuminated by an orange glow.
Shi smiled, not disappointed in Turner's choice. It was easier to get the attention he needed when playing as a young woman. He undressed quickly, then donned the dress. "Can you pull and tie it, please...?" the youngling asked, turning to face away from his Master and holding up his long, platinum hair out of the way. The corset ribbons lacing the back of the dress were loose.
"Ah, that's better...." Aydrien commented, offering De a smile. The expression even seemed warm, the glow of the firelight giving Aydrien's skin more of a lifelike color, different than his normal, marble facade.
Turner nodded, but kept all comments to himself. His fingers easily pulled and tied the ribbons as if he had once lived with a brothel of women. He was even slightly blushing. He was quite confused at the moment. What with how easily Shi fed and now these feelings for another man... This night may just as well take forever to end, just like last night. "Just remember to be a dainty eater. We'll be out in public, so it's important to not draw attention to yourself."
De smiled back and moved closer. His hands sought out and found Aydrien's slim body, holding him close to him. "Let's remain here for a good length of time... I do desire to spend some alone time with you, just like this." De's voice was soft, caressing. He had deeply, terribly missed Aydrien. All the time in the world here would never be enough, but a few months at the least would be enough for the time.
Blaine groaned as he ever so slowly awoke finally. The sun had set awhile ago. He looked around, eyes still closed slightly. "... What time is it...?" he asked, still quite sleepy. Apparently, he had been exhausted when he fell into his sleep.
"Thank you. And of course I'll be a dainty eater...Playing the aristocrat is one of my favorite hobbies," Shi told his Master as he turned and flashed a smile at him. "Just give me a couple more minutes, then we can go..." he then turned and sat at a small table. Holding up a hand-held mirror, he began to apply women's makeup to his face, completing his costume. Wait...one final touch. Shi put on a wide, velvet choker necklace that matched his dress perfectly, and hid his small adam's apple from view. "There, what do you think?" he asked as he stood facing Turner. His face was dolled up like a woman's, but not overly so. Shi did appear just like a young, flat-chested woman.
"That does sound like such a good idea....plus, it will give Alexis time to cool down a bit, don't you think...?" Aydrien pointed out with a small smile, but it wasn't a happy one. "I shall leave Laepheus in charge while I am away. He should be by tomorrow night with the rest of my things. Yes, we shall have ourselves a vacation..."Aydrien told De as he kissed him lovingly on the lips. Demonic was the only being in existence the Prince had ever melted his cold, marble statue-like self for.
Novus began to awake at the feeling of Blaine's movement. "Huh....?" he asked sleepily, and yawned. His hands still gripped at Blaine though, as if he didn't realize how tightly he was holding onto him.
Turner's jaw dropped suddenly as he studied to view in front of him. He recovered quickly. "Stunning. You'd pass as a woman anywhere. Well.... save for possibly America. There, the men stuff the dresses and really do a poor show of concealing their masculinity. Some however have fooled many a man." He offered Shi his arm, smiling gently.
De nodded to Aydrien before kissing him back, feeling as though he were melting into his arms. Just this simple kiss, this simple embrace, and De was content. He knew the night would bring them to new places though, and he couldn't wait to explore...
Blaine looked over at Novus, eyes slightly blank as if trying to comprehend something. Suddenly he had Novus held to him with strong arms. "You're safe, you're fine, you're safe.... We're both alive... Let's not leave the bed tonight," he said chucking slightly.
Shi actually blushed slightly, already getting into character. "Well thank you, Ser Turner," he said, and even his voice now sounded more feminine. "We should bring my clothes and makeup back to the mansion...then go out hunting. Go crash some parties, hmm?" he suggested, biting at his own lower lip as he grinned.
Aydrien purred, and guided them to rest closer to the fireplace on some of the floor cushions. "But don't forget....we need to retire to the underground shelter before sunrise...The ground floor just isn't safe enough," Aydrien informed De, slender fingers pushing through the other's hair.
Novus nodded at Blaine's reassurances, but still kept close to his master. "...Stay....in bed? All night?" Novus asked, blinking. The idea just seemed so strange, since every night since his Turning Novus had had barely any time to just relax.
Turner nodded. "A most excellent plan. I'll help you pack up then." Good. A distraction for his mind. He began taking what he thought were Shi's clothes, since they were small enough to fit him, and began to fold them, piling them neatly on the bed.
De smiled. "Of course. It would be all to ironic to just get you back then to go poof in dust." He chuckled. One of his rarer moments where he would be goofy. It wasn't often that he said words like poof, but when he did, he gained a childlike vibrance about him.
Blaine fervently nodded. "Oh yes... And if you need something to eat, I won't go 15 feet out of the gates. The bathroom is right through that door. But other than that... I don't think we should leave the bed tonight. I'm.... well... I'm exhausted. And actually... I think I have some blood stored away..." he said more to himself, lightly chewing his lower lip in thought. Blaine was 100% serious.
Shi gathered his brush, makeup, and hair accessories into a old, but decrative wooden box. "Would you like help carrying any of my clothes...?" he asked, blinking his large blue eyes. "...Oh, and thanks so much for helping me. I'm sorry that you're stuck with me," he told Turner, eyes now downcast as he studied the worn wooden floor.
Prince Aydrien actually chuckled. "Poof? Poof...." he repeated, finding laughter in just how the simple but silly word sounded. He had not been this relaxed and happy in ages, to tell the truth. Even though deep down he still craved more power...he was more than content to enjoy his vacation with De for the time being.
Novus blinked, then smiled broadly. He hoped this would be a wonderful, relaxed night...no one sneaking in with the intention of hurting them for once. "I am really hungry. Having some of that blood first off would be nice," he mentioned, kissing Blaine's chin.
Turner shook his head. "You could carry your accessories, but I'm fine carrying everything else." His voice turned to a more serious note. "Never be sorry to be a burden on your master's shoulders. A master is more than willing to bear that burden for a while. I must teach you things before you can strike out on your own, should you ever wish to do so. You are always more than welcome to stay with me until you decide to leave."
De laughed with Aydrien, his smile gracing his features magnificently. Hearing Aydrien's laughter put him more at ease than he had been for quite some time. "It's been forever since you've laughed this way hasn't it?" He gently kissed Aydrien before he could reply.
Blaine smiled and kissed Novus softly. "I'll go and get it then. I won't be long, I promise." with that, he stood and covered himself with a red silk robe and went downstairs. He rumaged around, trying to find the store of blood that he kept hidden. Well, it had been so long since he'd needed it that it had hidden itself away from his memory.
Shi nodded, and looked to Turner again. It had been Shi's drunken fault that the situation had turned out so ugly, and now Turner was burdened with him. But the youngling said nothing else on the subject, and stood quietly waiting for his Master.
Just as Aydrien was about to answer, his voice was stolen away with a kiss. He returned this kiss passionately, a slight smile gracing his features. ~Yes...it really has...~ he confided, almost shyly. He wrapped his arms around De, never wanting to let go. Demonic made him feel so relaxed, so loved...
Novus smiled a bit dreamily, then stretched and yawned as Blaine left. This would be so nice, hopefully, as long as no unwelcome visitors came by. After laying around for a few minutes, Novus got up to peek into the closet and wardrobe in the room out of curiosity. He would have to ask Blaine if they could go shopping sometime, Novus didn't really have any clothes for himself.
Turner smiled softly at him and turned to leave. "Come on Shi. Lets get this stuff back to my home and then we can go about our way." His voice was soft and gentle.
De rolled them over so that Aydrien was on top. He didn't break off the kiss though. Aydrien kept him stable. He kept him sane. His life was so confusing and tormenting without him there. His own arms snaked around Aydrien's waist, holding the lithe body to his own muscular one.
"Aha!" Blaine exclaimed as his hand found his stored blood. It was sealed in airtight jars and kept cold by everlasting ice, given to him by a vampire of the arctic region. Quickly, he warmed it in the kitchen and made his way back up the stairs and into the room where Novus lay. He had enough for the both of them, the amount equivalent to one male body. He handed Novus his share. "There you go. Drink it quick before it cools."
Shi nodded, and a small smile graced his facial features. He was really looking forward to going out with Turner, it would be such an experience. The youngling wrapped an arm around his master's, and was careful not drop his make-up box.
Aydrien continued to kiss De deeply and leisurely from his new position, not in any sort of hurry. He purred against Demonic's lips, his own hands stroking over De's cheeks and through his hair.
Novus quickly plopped back down onto their bed as Blaine reentered the room. He did as he was told and drank up his share of the warmed blood before it cooled. Cold blood would probably give him a stomach ache, he was sure. "Thank you..." he told Blaine, smiling as he felt a flush of color rise in his cheeks. The meal warmed him, and the feeling never ceased to bring a shudder to Novus's body.
Turner, for some odd reason, felt proud as he walked through the streets arm in arm with Shi. He felt as though he was showing off his work, which he had never been one to boast in the first place. Just something about this one made him feel as if he had to show him off to the whole world.
De's own hands lightly stroked Aydrien's back, gently teasing the nerves that he knew were there, along the spine. He moaned softly against his lover's lips, also not in any mood to rush things.
Blaine too, finished off his meal and smiled at Novus. "Sure thing. I only hope that'll be enough to last us both through the night. I'm sure you might need a soul later on. If you do, just let me know. I don't want you going out tonight. Every night that we've left this house... well... you know." Blaine sighed. He had only wanted comfort and security for his little one. But for some strange, unknowable reason, every attempt he had made so far failed him and he grew weary of the game.

Ah... the suspense.... This is all of the story currently on record. The next chapters are currently in progress, so bear with us please.
