Leaving Town

Thank you for your review. I know the human girl didn't last long and she was vital to the introduction to Ivaylo. A clue to who usually wont be around for too long is to look at how detailed a description I give for the character. Well here's the next chapter I hope you all like it.

Chapter 20

The next day, Mevran was feeling more his old self and was anxious to get back to Lanton. He hated being parted from the youngest of their group for even a minute, and the towns welcome and treatment did not bode well for the half-elf if he was found. Yes, he truly hated waiting, and what was the cause of the wait?

That damned werewolf. The stupid creature had left before Mevran woke that morning leaving a letter that read:

Mevran,
don't you dare leave the room till I return. I've gone for supplies and to get the latest town gossip on the goings ons in this country. We will leave when I get back.

-Ivaylo

Since reading the letter, the elf had waited four hours for the wolf's return, and he was getting very angry.

Just as the elf stood to disobey the werewolf, Ivaylo entered the room.

"Going somewhere without me, Mevran?"

"No, now that you're here im dragging you with me to go get Lanton," the elf stated, with a slight smirk on his face.

The wolf rolled his eyes and turned walking back out of the room, handing Mevran a pack of supplies. He himself was carrying two since the third was meant for Lanton and he obviously couldn't get his until they reached him.

The trip through the town was, in a word, unpleasant. None of the townspeople dared to attack the elf openly due to the hulking figure of Ivaylo, but that didn't stop the occasional piece of rotten fruit or bucket of scalding water being thrown down on them when they got too close to a building with more then one floor. Insults, too were murmured at their backs, even after they left the confines of the town.

It took a half-hour of walking, to reach the place they had left Lanton the other day, but the half-elf was no where to be found.

"Oh gods, he's not here where is he?" Mevran turned to look at the werewolf panic and anger in his eyes, "You said he'd be here; you said he'd be fine!"

"Calm yourself, Elf, I've found his trail. He probably looked for a safer and drier location..." Ivaylo said following the youngest of their group's trail, adding silently "˜I hope'.

The wolf led them a good fifteen minutes till they found a crude shelter, "There you see?"

"No I don't see where is he? Sure there's a shelter but I don't....." rounding the shelter stops cold his insides turning to ice at the scene in front of him, "Gods, no, LANTON!!!!!"
