I'm Fine

A/N: Okay my wonderful people I have the last chapter after this one written but I have to get at least 68 reviews before I will post it, tell your friends. Spread the word!

The days passed quickly and the plans began to sort themselves out. Anna had contacted her sister Sammy and asked her to be the brides maid. She was thrilled and asked if Benjamin could be the man of honor. Having the few precious days to plan Anna reluctantly told her sister no. When Sammy began to whine about how unfair that was, Anna cut her off.

“It isn’t my right to say who the best man will be, just like Alex has no say in who the maid of honor will be.” she said.

In the briefest conversation ever with her mother, Anna told her that the wedding was on Christmas day at eight thirty pm sharp. The arrangements were made in a warp speed motion. The dress and the suit were cleaned. The dinning hall was decorated tastefully with white roses, the giant Christmas tree in the hall made a spectacular decoration piece. The white lights and candle glow from the alter made the hall look as if angels had come and tried to make it heaven on earth.

While Anna stood in front of the mirror in her dorm bathroom, she had a talk with her mother. Mostly it was just her mother pointing out that Alex was Puerto Rican, but Anna was having her own doubts.

“Mom,” she said interrupting a long stream of comments from the endless wind bag “I don’t know if I can go through with this.”

Her mother’s ears perked up and she didn’t smile at this realization her daughter had. “Why not? Not that I am saying you have to go through with this.”

“I just don’t know.” She was staring at her reflection in the mirror. Her red hair had grown to where it caressed her shoulder blades. The dress was plain white and very simple. It was a spaghetti strap that hugged her upper body and flared softly at the bottom. Her shoes were simple heels that were closed on her toes. Her favorite item was her veil. It was sheer but long. It rippled down her back and gave her an angelistic aura. It stayed crowned on her head with a small head band.

“Honey,” her mother touched her shoulder. “If you love him, don’t let him get away.” she was smiling softly in the florescent lighting.

“Isn’t this odd?” Anna asked turning to hug her mother. “I always thought that you would adore my husband and I always pictured myself in a huge church for my wedding.” she stifled the tears that almost overwhelmed her at the thought that she would never have the wedding she always wanted. “And here I am. Sixteen years old, and I am to be married partially because of some stupid law and mostly because of love.”

“If you shed tears then I will have to do your makeup over.” her mother threatened trying to lighten the mood. “I think I hear the piano.” Her mother said making a dash for the door. It was not because of the piano playing the familiar tune. It was because of the tears in her eyes. She didn’t want to give up her baby girl, but it had to be done.

Anna waited a simple moment before her father snuck into the room. He admired his daughter in her wedding gown. All the years he had wasted not getting to know her were weighing themselves heavily on his shoulders. He didn’t want her to go, not yet. He didn’t know a thing about her and yet there she was in a white dress about to marry. He had never thought that this day would come so soon.

“Baby girl, you look absolutely astonishing.” he walked over and kissed her cheek. She accepted it graciously. “We better go.” he pulled on her arm and stopped as she gazed intently at him, her sapphire eyes unblinking. “Do you want to move?” he asked hopefully “I here Italy is nice.”

Anna gently shook her head. “Don’t you wish you had known me a little better?” she had to know. The man had barely acknowledged her as a child.

“Anna,” he sighed a little too heavily. “This isn’t the time.” he didn’t want to talk about it.

“Then when is the time?” he was forever pulling away from her.

“When you’re a little older.”

“Bullshit.” both were shocked at her impulsive choice of words. She had never used profanity against him and he had never heard it used directly at him.

“The wedding is starting and you’re the star baby.” he pulled the veil down and took her arm. He would not say another word.

“Hold on just a minute.” she slid her heels off and smiled at him as she stood. “Okay now we can go.” Anna watched her father’s face light up.

“Which last name did you give the Preacher?” there was hesitance in his voice.

“The one I was born with.” They walked down the hall to the dinning hall. They stood at the huge doors and looked at each other. “Damn I could use a cigarette.” Anna said in a jesting tone.

When her father smiled gently but disapprovingly she laughed a little easier. “Are you sure?” he asked out of the blue.

“Yes.” she said and shook her head at her father’s expression. “I love him, dad. You can tell that I do and even if you couldn’t you would let me any ways.” she smiled as he pulled her into a hug.

He opened the door for her and the piano started. He took her arm and trudged slowly down the aisle. Anna was astonished at how incredibly wonderful her wedding had turned out. The dancing shadows added, what she thought, was mystery. The roses, the few, were tastefully scattered. Her favorite thing was the angel, standing at attention on top of the tree.

Sammy stood to one side of Alex and she beamed at her little sister. Her mother stood next to Sammy. Mr and Mrs Serrano stood watching the whole thing. The happy couple were smiling at their daughter in law.

The tune from the piano rang out and stopped as she came to a halt beside Alex. She could see him through the paper thin veil. He was smiling at her. She wanted to kiss him then but the preacher began the familiar word.

“Dearly beloved we are gathered here today to witness the holy joining of one, Alexander James Serrano, and Anna Katherine Vaughn.”

Anna heard her mother gasp. She knew it was coming, but she didn’t think that her mother would be so loud about it. Anna finally refocused back in on the preacher long enough to hear Alex say “I do.”

Anna smiled at him through her veil. He grinned back at her. She looked down to see him sliding a thin silver band on her ring finger. When he had taken her hand she didn’t know, but she was thankful. She was absorbing all the moment when he looked at her funny.

“Hmm?” she said in a low voice.

“You’re supposed to say ‘I do’ here baby.” he said looking at her and wondering for a moment if she was going to go through with it.

“Oh,” she blushed furiously. “I do.” she slid the ring that she had bought onto his hand.

“You may now kiss the bride.” the preacher said shutting his bible.

Alex lifted her veil and bent to kiss her. Anna closed her eyes and felt his lips caress hers. She wanted more than a simple kiss but settled for it at that point. Anna could hear her mother and sister sigh in happiness for her.

Someone coughed and the newly married couple turned to see the headmaster. “Isn’t it tradition to have a dance for the newly wed?” Anna felt her cheeks burn softly. Before she nodded. “Okay then.” the head master called over his shoulder to begin the music.

Alex took her hand and bowed to her as the guitar jumped in. the tune was familiar but she couldn’t place it. She laughed as the lyrics began to flow around them. It was a childhood favorite.

It\'s kinda funny
Tomorrow is yesterday
It feels so good
We\'ll slide on a rainbow
Catching a moonbeam or two,oh,oh.oh

It must have been a sight to see them waltzing to the childish song. Sammy took Benjamin’s hand and began to rock back and forth to the melody. Anna smiled at them. They were going to be so happy together. Anna noticed, also that the people playing the song were students that attended St. Luke’s.

Don\'t tell me I’m a dreamer
Cause I don\'t wanna know
(so let me take you there)
I know
(I know)
We\'re gonna get there someday
(We\'re gonna get there someday)
And don\'t you know (oh don\'t you know)
We\'re gonna get there someday
(we\'re gonna get there someday)

Anna was watching them play, while Alex spun her around. “Did you ever waltz before this?” she couldn’t contain her surprise.

“Yeah, how did you know?” he grinned and blushed mildly.

“You haven’t once stepped on my toes?” she moved so that her dress revealed that she wasn’t wearing any shoes.

“I might have known.” he chuckled and pulled her closer.

I\'ll tell you something
Life is a mystery
It\'ll be so good
Sail in a teacup
Drift on a milky white sea, oh,oh,oh
Anna noticed that Aaron was playing the keyboard. He wasn’t really paying attention to the song, but he was watching Alex enviously. James was playing the guitar, but refused to look at her.

Don\'t go tellin me I’m a dreamer
Cause I don\'t wanna know
(so let me take you there)
I know (I know)
We\'re gonna get there someday
(We\'re gonna get there someday) oh yeah
And don\'t you know (oh don\'t you know)
We\'re gonna get there someday
(we\'re gonna get there someday)
Someday

Alex had noticed her notice them. “Its good that they witnessed it.”

“Is it?” she was skeptical. “How do you know that?”

“Now they won’t try to take you away from me.” he pulled her even closer. He spun her out and she giggled.

Everyone (everyone)
Has there crazy world (crazy world)
And everyone, they want to just stay (They want to)
You\'re the only one I want to share
I\'ll share it with you
Because I know, we\'re gonna get there
Someday, yeah

Anna noticed that even some people from school had drifted in and were dancing slowly along with the music. She felt like she should have been wearing an overly priced dress instead of the simple white dress she was wearing.

I know (I know)
We\'re gonna get there someday
(We\'re gonna get there someday)
Someday
And don\'t you know (oh don\'t you know)
We\'re gonna get there someday
(we\'re gonna get there someday)
Someday

The music slowed and stopped. Everyone in the hall, students and faculty, applauded the couple. They stopped dancing and smiled at the small crowd. They waved at their teachers and friends.

The head master courted them to the side and whispered. “You will be staying in my rooms tonight. Don’t make too much of a mess.” he smiled at them and walked away.

Alex and Anna were stunned but glad for the privacy. “Did you tell them?” he asked lightly placing his hand on her stomach.

“Yes.” she looked away. “No.”

“Why?” his thumb was unconsciously circling her naval.

“Because they are going to want to know how I got pregnant before I was married.” she protested knowing how lame it sounded.

“Yeah but they arranged for you to be…” he paused searching desperately for a polite way to put it. “you know.”

“Yeah.” they stood quietly for a moment. “Do you think I should tell Wise?”

“No.” he pulled his hand away as if he had been shocked.

“Why?” her arms circled round her waistline.

“He won’t care for one.” Alex said rubbing her stomach again.

“He might.”

“Tell me what?” a deep voice came up behind them. They both turned and saw the dark headmaster “I might care.” he grinned at them.

“How long have you been standing there sir?” Alex stood in front of Anna. She didn’t stop the possessive gesture. Fragile as she felt she wasn’t going to argue about it.

“Only a moment.” the headmaster’s smile vanished at the fact that Alex was standing in between him and the newly wed bride. The headmaster examined his student. He decided that he really didn’t want to take on the student. It wasn’t that he couldn’t take Alex, it was just that he really didn’t want a broken nose and arm.

“Jason,” Anna stepped out from behind her husband. She looked up at him. “I,” she stopped and started again “We have something to tell you. Could you get my parents and meet me in your office please?”

With a suspicious glare at Alex and a concerned look at Anna the headmaster turned and went in search of the girl’s parents. He noticed that Alex’s parents were also there. ‘Might as well bring them too.’ he thought and addressed each adult. They all walked to the office. The women walked and talked quietly ahead of the three men. The men did not say a word to each other, they just nodded in acknowledgement.

They arrived at the empty office and sat comfortably in silence until the door opened and reviled the newly wed couple.

“Congratulations you two.” Mrs. Serrano smiled gently at them.

“Thank you.” Anna smiled back at her. “The reason we wanted to meet was that we have some news.”

Silence meet her statement and she felt a nervous smile edge onto her lips. She had wanted someone else to say something.

“Well there isn’t really any other way to say this but,” she really didn’t want to say it “I’m pregnant.” the room’s cheer dropped. “And the baby is yours, Jason.” she was looking at the head master.

“What?” Mrs. Serrano was not happy, but she was also the first to react.

“I’m pregnant and the baby, my baby, shares blood with the head master.” Anna repeated and nodded toward the headmaster. “That’s what I wanted to tell you. That’s what you might care about.”

“You raped her and now my child will have your blood but a better father.” Alex sneered at the headmaster.

“That’s enough Alexander.” Mr. Serrano chimed in.

“I won’t accept this.” Mrs. Serrano cried.

“I have already accepted the baby as mine mother.” Alex told his mother.

Anna looked to her parents, who were silent. “Aren’t you happy?” she asked seeing the world swim before her eyes. She wanted to cry. They hadn’t said a word. “Aren’t you glad? Its my baby girl.” she rubbed her hand across her stomach.

“I care.” a deep voice said. Anna turned and saw the headmaster standing. “I will pay child support for her.”

“You will do no such thing you bastard.” Alex shouted. Everyone turned and stared at him, he was usually very calm and collected.

“Alex.” Anna took hold of his upper arm. He tugged away from her and walked up to the headmaster. “Alex, don’t”

“No,” he got up in the headmaster’s face. “She should have been mine.” he spat in Wise’s face. “You sick bastard. I hope you burn in hell.” he rounded on Anna’s mother and father “I hope that you two are happy too.” he snarled at them.

“Alex, you accepted her and me, please,” Anna was so close to tears. She didn’t want him to hurt anyone.

“You two should be very proud.” Alex was saying. Anna could feel the world begin to spin. “You should have let her find her own way.” Anna felt like she was falling, it was as if the floor could no longer hold her. “Anna?”

“I’m fine.” she whispered. She felt herself falling though. Alex caught her before she hit the carpet.

“Anna? Baby say something.” he pleaded.

“I’m fine.” a blanket of darkness fell over her eyes but she could still hear some of the words being said. She stood again and the world began to swim.

“Maybe we should get her into a bed?” the headmaster suggested.

Alex looked up at him and glared viciously. “How dare you?”

“That’s not what I meant.” he growled back. “Though if you’re offering. . .”

“We need to get her into a bed and something to drink.” Mr. Serrano said getting annoyed with the childish games his son was playing.

Alex scooped her off of the floor and held her tightly. “Where is your room?” he sneered at the headmaster.

“Through that door.” he pointed toward a cherry wood door.

“Thanks.” Alex stalked past the group of adults and headed toward the bedroom. The adults began to follow and he glared at them “I think we need some alone time.” the adults took the hint as he wanted to take care of her. They backed off and stood back and watched him slam the door with his foot.

“You shouldn’t be so temperamental with them.” Anna whispered weakly as he set her on the bed.

“The headmaster shouldn’t have said anything.” Alex snuggled her neck and climbed on the bed next to her. “Are you sure you’re all right?”

“Yes.” she giggled at his concern. “I’m fine.”

“How fine?” he asked nipping at her neck.

“I don’t know yet.” she said slyly.

He licked behind her ear and sent shivers up her neck. “How about now?”

“I’m getting there.”

Breaking contact with her neck Alex pulled off his shirt to reveal his tan toned chest. Anna slid her arms around his neck and brought him into a heated embrace. After a moment of tongue of war Alex tugged her shirt off and rubbed her breasts under her bra. Moaning softly she arched against him. Alex unclasped her bra and she arched, bare breasted against him.

Alex pulled back and looked at her “Is this okay to do? With the baby and everything.”

“I don’t think she is going to mind.” Anna pulled him back to her and kissed him again. Hot and mindless, she had to feel his love spilling inside her. She fiddled with the button on his jeans. He grabbed her hand and brought it to his lips. He broke their kiss and kissed her hand while looking in her eyes.

“What’s the hurry?” he purred “We have all the time we need.”

“I just need you to be inside me.” she whispered desperate to get their clothes out of the way.

He dragged her hand down his chest and settled it on the button. “Try again.” he purred kissing her again.

Her hands finally got the button undone and she tugged down his zipper. The soft fabric of his boxers pressed harshly against her. She tugged his boxers down. She held his pulsing length and smiled into their kiss. He pulled bacck and grinned wickedly at her.

“You still have your jeans on. That’s a problem.” his hands glided down her stomach and reached her jeans. He easily helped her out of them and pulled her underwear down. His calloused fingers found her honey and slid into her a bit. Anna gasped. Alex chuckled at her surprise. He pushed in and she dug her fingernails into his back.

“Perhaps something a little sturdier would do you some good?”

She moaned as her caressed her clit. Sliding his fingers out he replaced them with a very erect friend. Anna dug her fingernails deeper into his shoulders. The white building inside her head was blinding. The heat glowing in her lower abdomen was threatening to erupt.

She could hear him moaning her name. His voice growled at her, burning into her ears, but it wasn’t his voice. She heard her name being called and struggled to wake from the dark.

“Willow” The voice shouted and she darted up in her seat.
