Ice Fire
Another beautiful sunny day, and she hated it. The weather had not been changed to fit her mood, and it looked like it wasn’t about to.e wae was sitting outside by her pool just pondering who’s ass she could kick today. She was wearing her old black bikini, and her hair was still slicked back from going swimming. Fire had thought that taking a dip in the pool would ease her mind, but the moment she got in, she knew somehow that it would do nothing of the kind. This was her so-called life. Never having enough friends around helped because she always blew up at anyone near her. Closeness was not something she could handle, and people learned to understand that.
“Perhaps”, she thought, “I could go over to Raven’s house.” But she knew that wouldn’t cheer her up because she was in too foul of a mood this time. Fire was waiting for 9:00 to roll around so she could get out of the house and go to her sanctuary, Ice Fire. Going there was one of her few escapes where she could just let the music overtake her mind and body and nothing else would bother her for the night. She’d been going there since she was sixteen. She’d developed a likeness with the owner because he’d somewhat understood her situation. So, he never cared that she was underage, and she promised not to drink until she was eighteen.
Fire rarely drank enough to get drunk, even though it would take more than the average amount for her to get drunk. The only time she got drunk was when the music didn’t do it by itself and her mind would let the awful thoughts seep through. Though, she was pretty sure her mood wasn’t bad enough for that tonight.
Fire decided it was time to go fix herself some dinner and get ready to go clubbing. It was only 7:30 when she went in, so she decided she had plenty of time. Fire decided to make herself some angel hair pasta with a light garlic sauce, so she set to work. Once she had finished eating her meal, she went upstairs to shower, then she was ready.
Fire left the house clad in low slung leather pants and her dark red tank top with tears in it. She took off on her Harley and was ready for action. Still feeling slightly moody, she decided to stay away from any idiots tonight because she was ready to kick the living out out of anyone. With the wind against her body, Fire raced down the street to close the gap between her and the idled club, Ice Fire. She was ready for this party to get started.
Stopping her bike and parking it somewhere where no one would even think of stealing it, Fire walked over to the club’s entrance that already had a huge line out front. Ignoring the rest of the people, she walked up to the front and the doorman automatically let her in knowing who she was. With a slight nod to the burly man, Fire entered the dazzling place that was Ice Fire.
The ceiling was high with blue lights on it and it was made of frosted glass so it would look like ice. The floor was decorated so it would look like flames and red and orange lights were built into the walls and floor. Passing the entrance, Fire went over to the bar to get a drink. Raven, of course, was already working there and chatting with her boss, Evan.
Fire sat on the stool next to Rider and said, “I’ll have a vodka with a twist of lime, bartender,” then she grinned at her friend who swatted her shoulder with the towel she was using in return to that remark.
“Well, look who decided to show up! Nice to know you still care!” Raven was now smiling ridiculously at Fire.
Fire just rolled her eyes and took her drink graciously and stood up to leave, but Rider had to say something, “Are you ever gonna sing for us, Fire? You know the audience would love it!” Rider was just laughing to himself because he knew the efforts were useless.
“I don’t think so, besides I have no deep desire to ‘please the crowd’ as you say. So just find yourself someone new.” With that, Fire turned around and headed for the dance pit ready to make all her worries dissipate.
Meanwhile, Rider turned to Raven and said, “Little does she know, I have found some talent. My brother will be playing tonight. He’s pretty good too,” Rider stated satisfied with himself.
“Really?” said Raven, “I didn’t know you had a brother, Rider. How old is he?” Raven served her next few customers and then turned back to Evan.
“Yeah, I have a kid brother. I’d say he’s about 23 now. Anyways, he’s going to play the guitar and sing tonight. It should be cool because he’s always been really talented,” Rider said running a hand through his short, spiky, green hair. “In fact, here he comes now,” He pointed to a tall man with a killer body and face.
“He’s not bad looking, he have a girlfriend?” Raven said, eyeing him up and down and just absorbing it all.
“Yeah, about twenty, the girls love him!” Rider just chuckled and stood up to give his brother a hug.
“Whoa there, bro! Don’t want to damage the guitar and the outfit!” Freeze said smoothing out his dark blue stretch shirt and his baggy jeans. He checked to make sure his clear blue guitar was still in position in the case and then closed it. “I don’t believe I’ve met this gorgeous woman yet,” he said nodding at Raven.
Raven stuck her hand out to shake his and blushed slightly saying, “Well, I don’t know if I’m gorgeous, but I think I’ll go for merely beautiful,” winking at Freeze in return.
“By the way, my name’s Freeze, and it’s nice to meet such a lovely lady,” he said, returning the wink.
“Raven, likewise. I don’t meet many studs in here that can play guitar as well,” by now, Raven was almost completely weak in the knees.
“Anyways, I’m gonna give this to you,” Freeze said handing Rider his guitar, “And now I’m going to go get my groove on!” Having said that, Freeze nodded at Raven and took off for the dance pit.
Fire couldn’t hear anything but the music, and she liked it that way. Dancing with her eyes closed was her way to feel alone, and it almost always worked. Luckily some loser hadn’t come up to her yet and tried dancing with her. At least, she thought, but she didn’t know because her eyes were still closed. Fire opened her eyes and did a quick scan of the room to make sure no guys were about to make an advance on her when she caught a guy with blue hair and a fairly tight shirt staring at her.
