Aiden sat on the sofa, not able to think about the fact that three feet away from him was lying the child of either himself or Patrick. She was beautiful, rosy cheeks and a button nose. It reminded him of the pictures he had seen of Patrick when he was a baby. But there was also things that reminded him of himself as a baby.
Patrick was sitting on the chair in the kitchen, head in his hands. They hadn’t said anything to each other since Yasmine left. The baby girl had been sleep, but it looked like she was about to wake up any minute now.
Patrick was next to her the moment she crying, picking her up and cooing her back to sleep. Aiden looked at them, thinking they went perfect together. Like father and daughter should.
“When?” Aiden looked at him, not understanding the question. Patrick sighed. “When did you sleep with her?”
Aiden bowed his head. “It was after our fight about a year ago. It was a mistake and I had no idea how I was going to tell you. What about you? When did you sleep with her?”
Patrick looked down at the little girl. “It was probably a week before you then. I was drunk and she was there helping me get home. You weren’t there, it was the weekend your class were on the hiking trip. I would like to say she seduced me, but I would be lying.”
Aiden nodded and got up standing in front of Patrick and the baby. “She looks like you.”
“You think?” Patrick asked and looked at her closely. “I think she looks like you.”
Aiden smiled. “I guess we both did mistakes a year ago, but what do you say we forgive and forget?”
Patrick nodded and leaned down to kiss Aiden, only the be stopped by a wail from the baby girl. Aiden laughed, swooping down to kiss her head.
“Guess we have a new boss in the house.”
Patrick looked at Aiden with longing in his eyes. “What do we do now?”
“I don’t know, we got nothing we need to take care of her. And she doesn’t even have a name according to her paperwork.”
Aiden bit his lip. “The neighbour had a kid about two years ago, maybe she can help us?”
Patrick nodded and handed the baby girl to Aiden. “She likes you for some reason.”
Aiden smiled down at her and sat down on the couch, letting the child rest against his thighs. She looked at him with her big eyes, and Aiden couldn’t help but think she was meant to be his and Patrick’s child.
“Oh, my dear god!” The shrill voice of the neighbour lady. “You were speaking the truth, my dear boys.”
Aiden looked at her, smiling sadly, while Patrick went over to him and sat down.
“We were wondering if you had anything from when your kid were a baby, that we could borrow?”
She nodded. “Of course, honey. I’ll be right back.”
Patrick nodded and swooped down to press a kiss to the baby’s head, then Aiden’s lips. “Everything will be okay.”
---
Aiden sat on the bed, looking over the baby. Patrick was sleeping soundly next to him. There was so many thoughts going through his mind. What would they do about school? How would they juggle work, parenthood and love life? Aiden sighed and rested his head on his knees.
Things had gotten rather messed up in a short matter of time. One evening meeting that lasted not even 5 minutes had ruined everything he had known for the better part of a year now.
“She has to have a name.” He murmured to himself quietly.
He uncurled from his position and laid down, closing his eyes and falling asleep quite quickly.
---
Patrick was once again the one to make them breakfast, this time for three instead of two like he used to. Aiden was busy trying to figuring out how to change a diaper, the matter not going very well.
When Aiden finally emerged from the bedroom, he was holding a quiet baby girl. “We should find her a name, and we have to decide who’s last name she’s going to have.”
Patrick nodded and dragged out a chair so Aiden could sit down. “I checked some things on the internet and according to the website she can go till month six before needing to have a last name then she’ll automatically get her mother’s. She’s little over a month now, we got plenty of time to figure out who’s last name she’s going to have. Her first name however is another matter.”
“I don’t know about you, but I like the name Christine.” Aiden said, looking at the girl.
“I like it too, but she just doesn’t look like a Christine.” Patrick said, handing Aiden the bottle with formula and seating himself. “How about Therese?”
“No way, I knew this girl named Therese, total bitch!”
“Okay, not Therese then.” Patrick took a mouthful of food, chewing it slowly before saying. “Natasha.”
Aiden looked at him. “Natasha? Are you sure?”
Patrick nodded. “Yeah, Natasha suits her and from what I’ve heard your grandmother was one amazing lady.”
Aiden smiled and leaned over the table, careful not to smother Natasha, kissing him softly. “Thank you, if my grandmother had been alive when I met you I know she would’ve liked you.”
“I have no doubt I would’ve liked her too.”
They both looked at Natasha. “Welcome to our humble home, Natasha.”
---
Since it was Saturday, Aiden and Patrick decided to go shopping for some things to Natasha. Their neighbour had been so kind to write down what they would need the most and she had donated some of her son’s older clothes that were unisex. She had also told them to knock on her door anytime if they had any questions at all. Along with all things she had done for them, she also offered to watch Natasha when they were at school.
Patrick and Aiden went into the shop, looking for a crib that was both comfortable for a baby to sleep in, grow in and didn’t have a very high price. Natasha was sleeping, holding tightly a pink blanket that had been in her bag of things, in the stroller.
Patrick stopped in front of a simple, white crib. “Aiden, I think this one will be good and it’s kind of old fashion too.”
Aiden went up next to him, taking Patrick’s hand in his. “It’s perfect.”
Patrick kissed the side of Aiden’s head. “I think so too.”
A saleslady came over to them and asked if they needed any help, Patrick gladly accepted while Aiden took the stroller and walked to the diaper shelves, taking what he needed and then to the food corner.
Patrick caught up with him not long after, telling him that the saleslady had taken the crib to the counter, where they now were headed. The crib turned out to be on sale, 25% off, and the food and diapers were 50% off.
“Guess we were lucky on picking what day to go shopping baby-stuff.” Aiden said and paid the lady behind the counter.
“What a beautiful baby you have. I’m so glad that the father is taking an interest in raising children now a days.” She said and cooed over the baby. “And it’s so nice that your friend is so supportive, even if getting a kid this age is rather irresponsible.”
Aiden lowered his head in shame, while Patrick stood up to the lady. “Actually, I’m not his friend, I’m his lover. Natasha might be his or she might be mine, we don’t know cause we both slept with the same girl within a week of each other. I agree having a kid at 18 isn’t the brightest idea in the world, but at least we’re here taking responsibility for her unlike her mother who just left her.”
The lady looked at him aghast. “I’m very sorry, sir. I didn’t mean anything by it.”
Patrick snorted. “Then you shouldn’t have said anything.”
Aiden tugged at Patrick’s arm. “Lets just go, Pat.”
“Fine.” Patrick said and took their things. “When will the crib be delivered?”
“We’ll have it at your place by 3pm, sir.”
“Thank you.” Aiden said and tugged Patrick out of the store.
---
The clock on the television showed 4.05pm and Aiden was checking his absence at school, while Patrick was setting up the crib in their bedroom. Natasha was lying on the sofa next to him, staring into the air.
“See anything interesting, baby girl?” He asked, then chuckling as she made a gurgling sound. “I guess so.”
Clicking on the link to see his absence he hollered to the bedroom. “How’s it going?”
“Just fine.” Patrick called back. “Just bloody fine.”
“Seems like your daddy has some trouble in there, Tash.” Aiden said and laughed lightly. “Boys and their toys, you’ll understand when you’re older.”
“Patrick, I’m checking my absence and I only got three days, and because of my migraine I get 14 days extra, which means I don’t have a lot of absence at all.”
Patrick came out and looked at him. “That’s good. I think I have about seven days. Hey, there’s my girl. Who’s my good girl? Are you my good girl?” Patrick said in a high pitched voice, making Natasha giggle of some sort.
“Do you think we can do this?” Aiden asked.
“I think we’ll be alright, as soon as I get that crib up and running.” Patrick grinned.
---
Patrick slipped out of the bedroom and sat down on the sofa, next to Aiden. “She’s sleeping.”
Aiden smiled and leaned against Patrick, kissing his neck over and over again. “Mmm, you smell good.”
Patrick tilted Aiden’s head up and kissed him passionately. Aiden leaned back on their sofa, dragging Patrick on top of himself. They laid there kissing and groping each other, Patrick was finally able to shed Aiden of his clothes. As a new patch of skin was revealed, Patrick kissed and made sure it was given the attention it deserved, simply for being a part of the man he worshipped more than life itself.
Neither of them had thought about how much they had missed this, things being to hectic the last few days with Natasha’s arrival. This was their time, when they gave each other what they needed. The time of day were no one else mattered and no one could tell them what they did was wrong and a sin.
Aiden arched into Patrick wicked touch and moaned loudly, not caring about who heard him. He gripped the back of the armrest and the other hand had wrapped itself tightly into Patrick’s hair, massaging his scalp and gently guiding his touch.
Patrick leaned up, despite Aiden’s feeble protests, and kissed him again. Their tongue battled for dominance, but Aiden soon gave in as Patrick grounded their hips together. Patrick moved his hands from cupping Aiden’s face to his crotch, rubbing the bulge harder than absolute necessary.
Aiden moaned again and looked at Patrick with pleading eyes. “Please, Pat. I’m want you.”
Patrick smiled and popped the button on Aiden’s jeans, then dragging the zipper down. He pulled the jeans down, along with the boxer, to Aiden’s ankles and kissed his way up each leg. Ignoring the place Aiden wanted him the most at first. Just as Patrick was about to wrap his luscious lips around Aiden’s swollen dick, they both heard a wail from their room.
Aiden groaned, but pushed at Patrick’s shoulder. “Get off.”
Another wail, but Patrick didn’t care. He pushed Aiden down on the couch, kissing him forcefully. Aiden started trashing, hitting Patrick’s shoulder.
“Get off, Patrick!” He yelled between the forcing kisses. “Tash is crying in there.”
Patrick growled. “What the fuck is wrong with you?”
Aiden looked at him with big eyes. “Patrick?”
Patrick got up from the sofa, harshly running a hand through his hair before turning and leaving. Aiden laid there in shock until he heard Natasha still crying. He blinked back his own tears and tucked himself in, before going to their bedroom. Natasha had cried herself red, but the moment she saw Aiden, she stopped, blinked a few times and then smiled.
Aiden picked her up. “At least someone’s happy to see me.”

Thanks to Myth720 and Lisa for commenting. To clear up some confusion; in Norway you don't have to name your child in the hospital, a lot of people already have an idea of the name, but it's not necessary to give them a name there. This is because you will later on get a letter from this thing and there you have the child's birthday number (11 digits) and then you have to fill in the child's name. If the child hasn't been given a last name by six months it will automatically get it's mother's last name. Hope this cleared things up from the first chapter!
