Your not in Kansas anymore Dorothy

Hold your Breathe,Make A Wish, Count to Three

Saturn wasn't sure which way to turn first. She took a step forward and looked down when her foot came down on something. She looked down and blinked. It was the stuffed centaur. She bent and picked it up. His facial features had changed. His eyes were glowing slightly, and he blinked at her. She squealed and dropped it again, causing the doll to close its eyes, as if in pain. her noise had caught the attention of passerby. She could only gape at them. They watched, eyes locked on her and hers on them, as she crouched and slowly picked the doll up again. Its pained expression remained etched into its cloth face. She hugged it to her for a moment, and could have sworn she heard a soft sigh, but she chose to ignore it. The passerby looked human enough...but they had the pointiest ears she had ever seen. 'Elves' she suddenly realized, eyes wide in awe. The elves were whispering behind their hands to one another, obviously pointing out her strange clothing and hair (she had dyed it pink the previous evening out of boredom and given herself blonde high lights to match to try and edge out some of the crazy anime look) She frowned. "Its rude to talk about people when I can hear you!" They blinked in surprise then quickly scurried off.

Saturn scowled down at the doll in her hands. "Your to blame for this..." The doll returned her look blankly, but a tiny smile now etched itself on the face. her scowl deepened and she stuffed the doll into her pocket. She closed her eyes, then took a deep breathe and walked forward to the mouth of the alley she had been dumped in. What awaited her site caused all breathe to leave her body and she had to grip the wall to keep from going weak kneed.

The City of Tamboured was gorgeous by far. The castle in the distance was a glittering white addition to the cobbled streets, filled with store fronts and an assortment of people...or at least saturn thought they were people. She stared openly as a pair of centaurs much like the doll in her pocket paused by a flower stall. Elves strolled leisurely through the streets, chatting with one another. Dwarves stayed in groups, examining, buying, and selling armor. A woman whose skin looked like wood passed by, her hair a deep green color with flowers decorating it. She paused upon spotting the young female and smiled. "Hullo. Are you a Nymph?" Saturn was so taken aback she didn't immediately respond. The woman regarded her slowly. "What garden do you harvest?" Saturn blinked stupidly, not really sure what she meant. "Er...well...I..I don't harvest a garden at all." The Nymph, which is what she clearly was, tilted her head. She took in Saturns Brown skin, mismatched eyes, weird garb, and hair. "Not a Garden? Well..you certainly aren't from around here...a foreign nymph perhaps?"

Saturn couldn't really think of what to say, but the wood nymph seemed to have made her own conclusion. "oh, well this must be your first time here! Please..allow me to introduce myself. My name is Esephle...Eh-Se-Flee". She spoke slowly, so Saturn could understand the pronunciation. "And you are?" The woman blinked. "Oh..um..Saturn...my names Saturn." Esephle tilted her head. "Thats an odd name". She laughed and smiled. Saturn frowned. She liked her name and didn't think it was funny at all.

The Nymph carried on, as if she hadn't just offended the girl in front of her. "My..well Saturn..your clothing peaks my interest...I have never seen such odd garments before." Saturn looked down at herself. She didn't think Jeans and a white t-shirt with the british flag on it, along with her green and black skull etched converse were odd at all. Back home..'But I am not back home at all anymore' she corrected herself. 'You aren't in kansas any more Dorothy'. Esephle was watching her closely. "Well..perhaps you would like a tour then? You must forgive the cities excentuated guards..we are at war currently, but many of our soldiers have returned home due to a slight standstill." "War? Those two centaurs were speaking about a war..damn what're you getting into Saturn?" The wood nymph looked at her curiously. "You often talk to yourself Saturn? How funny. You have met our soldiers before?" Saturn looked sideways at her. "Um..no...not..not exactly."

She could feel the lump in her pocket warm slightly, and promptly took the doll out. It was still smiling in a self-satisfied sort of way. Esephle caught site of it and smiled. "Oh! That is so cute. It looks exactly like Sir Braxton...have you met him before?" Saturn sighed. This nymph was way to talkative and she was quiet certain they were normally a very quiet breed of mystical creature. "No..I have not met him..not exactly anyway". She looked upwards for a moment, then back down at the doll. It was staring at her.

While Saturn suffered the overly curious Nymphs many questions, across the city in the Grand Castle De'meour, the many centaurs who had returned were settling themselves in their quarters, sparring in the courtyard, or else getting ready to wander the market place, many having been gone for some time. They were eager to return to the pubs and taverns, to find themselves mares who enjoyed hearing their hero's tales, or to simply find a mare who enjoyed them in general. Of course the army did not just consist of centaurs, but as they were more adapt at fighting, and came in large throws, their eagerness to fight and defend made them excellent choices.

Akil, a palomino horse with a fair tan on his human parts, picked his way across the courtyards, unsure if his companion had returned yet or not. "What hoe, Sir Akil! COme join us for a drink". Akil smiled faintly at the young warriors. "I would be happy to, but tell me, Has Sir Braxton been this way at all?" The young men chortled and grinned. "Sir Braxton? Yes..he did pass by. With a lovely philly on his arm". Akil sighed exasperatedly, promised he would join them at the nearest tavern briefly, and made his way to the stables. He could hear giggling and soft laughter coming from the last stall and made his way down the aisle. He paused by the second to last stall and purposefully knocked the tack off the wall, making a loud display by cursing and yelling about how now he would have to clean it all over again.

The philly suddenly burst out of the stall,Braxton following behind her. She took one look at Akil, blushed furiously, and hurried out, mumbling an apology and something about needing to return to her mate. Braxton sighed and looked at his long time friend. "Why do you deprive me of such fun?" Akil smiled. "I would have thought the lovely ms. Harlow would have been enough for you." Braxton sighed dreamily. "Ah, my Harlow, she does my heart good...but alas..even such a young woman such as herself needs a rest. Hence why I take up residence with..others". He looked wistfully after the philly. Akil shook his head and grabbed his friends upper arm. "Come..I promised we would drink to our victory tonight with the others". Braxton grinned, pulling himself free. "Ah..a drink to victory indeed." Akil shook his blonde head slightly and forced the other out ahead of him. Braxton chuckled, but allowed himself to be led.

Saturn would have had to admit, if she hadn't been so keen on seeing everything, she would have long ago figured out how to slip away from her overly talkative host. As it were, she was stuck listening to Esephle chatter on and on about whatever came to mind. She was briefly reminded of Charlene and smiled. In her slight haze, she didn't see the large figure that passed her, but felt it when he pushed against her shoulder. She dropped the doll in the process. She bent to pick it up and a pair of hands came into her vision. She stared up at the owner of them for a almost gasped. Dark eyes met her own mismatched ones, taking in everything from her face and clothes, to her wild hair, then back down to the doll. She stood the same time he did and could only gape.

Braxton smirked as Akil continued to push him along, particularly past a group of young water nymphs who batted their lashes at him. He wasn't picky when it came to species. "Honestly, Akil...I have four legs...I can walk on my own you know. Im not entirely help-" he broke off as he collided with someone. They dropped whatever it was they were holding and he quickly bent to pick it up, then froze as they did the same. Soft, brown hands closed over the cloth doll the same time his did and he followed them up to stare at the girl in front of him. She didn't look away. He glanced back down at the doll and gave a start. His own face stared back up at him. His gaze flickered back to her. He quickly took in her appearance, but gave no thought to it. It was not uncommon for a nymph to have pink hair..at least thats what he thought. He supposed her attire was a bit off..he had never seen pants in such a fashion. Her eyes, two different colors by god, pierced him in an unnerving manner. He fidgeted for a minute then held the doll out to her.

Saturn looked at the extended hand, then slowly reached out and took her beloved Braxton. All the while she was quiet aware that the real..very very very real...Sir Braxton stared back at her. "Um...thank you..." He didn't say anything, but merely nodded and continued walking, glancing back once or twice before he and his companion turned into a tavern. Esephle was staring, wide eyed and mouth hanging open slightly. "Wow...do..do you know who that was? Sir Braxton himself..." Saturn stared at the ground, feeling suddenly alone and terrified. She hugged the doll to her chest, before walking on. Esephle blinked, "Hey!", and quickly started after her.
