Time of your life

Hearing that from the boy she had been watching that whole day and who had seen her in a towel it surprised Jane. Shaking her head she then spoke, " I have been spying and that was more then just plain rude Damien." With that she shook her head lightly as she sat there looking at the male with wide eyes as he sat on his own window seat laughing. Scowling as she watched him take amusement at her antics for a few minutes before shaking her head and moving as if to close the window when he shouted a denial.



Glancing towards him still outstretched to close the window he spoke, " Look I\'m sorry for laughing it\'s jus that your the only girl I have ever met who has felt bad about gawking at me or even flirting. I\'m not used to it so forgive me?" WIth that he grinned showing dazzling white teeth in the darkness around them. Smiling tenderly Jane nodded her head as she spoke, " Yeah I forgive you this time." Sitting back down she looked to him before speaking, " Why did you move down here this boring one horse town? There is hardly anything to do that isn\'t illegal unless you go to the next town. The whole town knows exactly what your up to and gossip spreads like wildfire."



Damien smirked softly as he tilted his head before speaking, " My mom was born in a town a lot like this and so she wanted me to have the same experiences instead of just being a city boy." Shrugging he watched the girl and grinned lightly not knowing if his attraction to the teen was because she was the first one he had met in this town, her being his neighbor, or the only one who hadn\'t tried sneaking into his room upon meeting him. Shaking his head he leaned back before running a hand through his short choppy black hair. Blue eyes gazing across to the red head he knew that his stay here in this rinky dink little town had just gotten better.



Seconds after these thoughts entered his mind he heard his mother call out his name and tell him to get to bed. Shaking his head he then spoke, " Good night Jane I will talk to you when I can." With that he closed his window, crawled to his bed and turned the light off. Going under the covers he was soon fast asleep leaving Jane to gawk.



Jane watched the rude male just leave her watching him, and shook her head lightly. Closing her own window to keep the bugs out she then walked over to her bed and crawled under the covers. Turning the lamp off she snuggled into the bed and closed her eyes preparing to sleep. Just as she was dozing off and images of her new neighbor began to swarm in her head she heard the door slam shut from down below. Jerking awake and upright in the bed she ran out of the room and to the front door before Diamond could begin to bark.



Seeing her mother in the doorway she then spoke, " You startled me mom." Going to the door she closed it and locked it as her mom walked on in the room without saying a word. Looking the woman who had given birth to her over she noticed the glazed look in her eyes and knew that she had gone for drugs. Shaking her head she then grabbed her puppy just as it came into sight. Holding her she then spoke, " Good night mom." Hearing a mumbled response she ran back to her room just as Nana came downstairs. Hearing the yelling and shouting she set Diamond in her room before going into Cain\'s room. Seeing her brother awake and cowering she went to him and spoke, " Everything is going to be okay. You remember what I told you would happen when I turn eighteen?"



She smiled as she watched him nod his head before speaking, " You will adopt all of us and move us as far from mom as you can." With that being said Jane comforted her brother as he slowly went back to sleep. Knowing that her younger brother would sleep soundly she thanked the doctors who had upped Charlie\'s anger meds which helped him sleep while tampering the tantrums he gained with his Autisim. Shaking her head as she checked on the other three anyways she sighed once more before going to her room.



Seeing that it was all the same she went to the bed and just sat there looking around. When Diamond began to whimper around she lifted the puppy into her arms as she pet her. She then whispered, " Diamond why go on when all I come home to is screaming, flying fists, and cursing?" Lowering her head down into the soft puppy fur she then whispered, " One of these days I am going to live in a house where there is no screaming and where we are all treated well."



Laughing bitterly as she said that she knew that the dream that she had was a long shot especially seeing as her mother would never get off the drugs. Recalling when Danielle and she had been dumped on the side of the road while their mother went to hang out with her druggie friends leaving the two girls to run down to where Nana was staying. Shuddering at the image she recalled being chased by the neighbor\'s dog, and then nearly ran over (accidentally) by Nana\'s boyfriend. Cradling the puppy close to her chest as she laid on the bed she then spoke, " Good night Diamond maybe tomorrow will be better. You know she has to sleep this off and it takes her about three days."



With that and a nod she closed her eyes only to grin as Diamond licked her jaw. Shaking her head she ran her fingers over the puppy\'s neck and back until the two of them were asleep. Diamond dreaming of chasing rabbits and the siblings while Jane dreamed of a certain blue eyes young man who had moved just next door. A sweet smile graced her lips as she dreamed not knowing that just a few yards away the boy dreamed of the girl with the sweet smile, and the love of Happy Bunny pajamas.
