Chapter 2

Chapter Two:

“You’d better get some rest boy.”

Sakura jumped a foot into the air when Kei said that from behind him, and his hand went to his chest. He took several deep breaths before replying to him. "We are going to sleep here tonight, in this room together?”

“Yes, unless you would prefer to sleep outside in the stable with the horses,” Kei remarked with a teasing smile.”

Sakura raised his eyebrow at the man and sat down on the chair in front of him. He picked up an apple, and Kei snatched it from him.

Kei grinned. His hazel eyes sparkled with laughter when he saw the look in the boy’s ocean blue eyes. He took a bite out of the apple and offered the apple to the boy. Sakura snatched the apple from the man’s hands and took a bite before he realized what he had just done. His face turned red with embarrassment. This made Kei let out a roar of laughter that echoed all the way outside of the inn.

“I don't see what you find so amusing,” Sakura remarked, and stood up from his chair, about to storm off. Kei stood up as well from his chair and slowly came over to him. Sakura could not help but to feel like a tiny ant. The man was taller than him and his long silky black hair rested neatly on his back, swinging back and forth slightly as he came toward him.

Kei stopped and smiled down at the boy. He bent down and whispered, “Which side of the bed do you want?”

Sakura immediately refused. “I don't want the bed, you can have it. I'll sleep on the floor, just give me a pillow. That is all I ask.”

“You don't want to share a bed with me?”

Sakura nodded his head rapidly. “Under normal circumstances, I wouldn't mind sleeping next to another man, but this isn't normal at all, and I don't think that I will be able to sleep a wink lying next to you, worrying my head off about when you are going to attack me.”

Kei laughed. “If I wanted to attack you, even the floor wouldn't stop me,” he commented. “There is no need for you to worry your head off boy. I already gave you my word that I would not do anything funny to you while we are alone together. And I am a man of my word.”

Sakura relaxed, but he still refused to share a bed with the man. “Alright, since you put it that way. I'll trust you, but I still prefer the floor.” he said with a determined look on his face.

“I can't let my bride to be sleep on a floor. I'll take the floor instead and you can have the bed. I want no arguments from you about this arrangement," Kei said in a stern voice. His face showed that he would not allow the boy to argue with him regarding his decision.

If looks could kill, Sakura had no doubt in his mind that he would be dead by now. He didn't dare argue with the man regarding his decision. He just nodded his head and raced towards the bed. He climbed in and called out a good night before shutting his eyes, trying as hard as he could to go to sleep.

Kei didn't go to sleep for a long, long while. He watched the boy sleeping soundly on the bed, tossing now and then. The boy was beautiful to him in more ways than one. There was nothing he didn't like about the boy’s appearance. The boy’s ocean blue eyes that reminded him of the clear blue ocean water, and the soft black hair and fair skin were to die for. Too bad that the boy was a bit too short, which would make it a bit difficult when the chance came for him to steal a kiss. Kei moved from his spot by the window and went to sleep on the floor next to the bed.

Sakura was wide awake by the time the sun rose the next morning. He sat in bed for a long while, watching Kei’s sleeping face. The man didn't look so mean to him when he was asleep. It was amazing how people could look so different when they were sleep than when they were awake. Trying to be as quiet as possible he slipped out of bed, and went to wash his face. When he was done, he went over to Kei and knelt down on his knees to wake the man up.

Kei finally opened his eyes after Sakura nudged him for the sixth time. He sat up and before the boy knew what his intention was, he slipped his arms around the boy’s waist and pulled him into his arms. “Give me a morning kiss to revive me,” he whispered.

Sakura shook his head and tried to pry the man’s arm from his waist, but it was a waste of effort as the man was stronger than him. He let out a sigh, and leaned back against the man chest in defeat. The difference between his strength and the man’s strength was like night and day. How could he possibly have thought for a moment that he could pry the man’s arms from his waist was beyond him.

“Didn't you just tell me last night that you are a man of your word, Kei?” he commented.

“I am a man of my word, embracing you in my arms does not mean that I broke my promise with you, Sakura. Not unless I feel you up and force a kiss on you.”

Sakura tilted his head to the side and looked up at Kei. “You are a cunning man, Kei.”

Kei let out a roar of laughter, “I guess I am, boy.”

He didn't know how long Kei held him in his arms. He didn't bother to time it. His eyes were focused on the man’s handsome face. When Kei finally let him go with a peck on his brow, he hurried out of the room to wait for him. Ten minutes later, Kei came down the stairs and they went to get their horse. As soon as they were on their horse, they headed off right away.

Sakura got a good look at Kei’s castle. It was nothing like the castles in those fairytale books he had read. There was only one word to describe it. Magnificent. Nothing like he had ever imagined. Sakura’s eyes shone with excitement. He completely forgot the reason why Kei brought him home with him. He was scared as hell when they entered the castle and a bunch of scary looking people greeted them. He instantly hid behind Kei’s back for protection. These people looked nothing like him and Kei. To put it in other words they looked nothing like humans at all. They had hooves as feet and tails that stuck out from the back of them.

“They are my servants. They won't hurt you in any way unless I give them permission to, boy.”

Sakura stared up at Kei. “You’ve got to be kidding me. They look like they will chew me alive if I left your side,” he remarked.

Kei let out a sigh. “Look Sakura, there is no reason for you to doubt my word. If I say that they won't hurt you, then they won't. Now let go of my shirt before you rip it right off of me,” Kei said with a bit of irritation in his voice.

Sakura’s face became red with anger at Kei’s words. He let go of his shirt and went around so that they were face to face. He tilted his head back a bit to look Kei in the eyes. Since Kei was taller than him, his head only lined up to the man’s shoulders. Sakura stood before Kei with both hands on his hips, his angry eyes looking straight at Kei. “How dare you tell me to take your word for it, when you just broke your promise to me this morning? And let me remind you Kei, that I am not from your world. Where I come from, there are no such people who look like your servants. So don't you dare tell me what I can and cannot feel towards these strange looking people who look like monsters from a horror movie.”

“If you’re done ranting out your anger at me, I will get Percy to show you to your room, and if you are so scared of my servant then I will order Percy to see to your needs personally.” With that said, Kei left Sakura in the hall, alone with his servants as he went off to find Percy.

Sakura yelled out a million curses at Kei’s back. He took off his shoes and threatened to kill the scary people before him with them, if they dared come any closer to him. He did not realize how silly it made him look to Kei’s servants. He didn't get it when they all let out a sound of laughter.

“Alright you all. That is enough. Go back to your duties,” Percy ordered as he approached the frightened boy standing there among the servants with a pair of shoes in his hands. He walked up to the boy and took a hold of the boy’s arms, dragging him with him up the stairs, using as little strength as possible, not wanting to hurt the boy in any way.

Sakura kept his eyes on the chestnut haired man with brown eyes, as the man led him to a room that was big enough to fit a whole family. His eyes widened at the sight before him. The room was filled with furniture that his world would call antique. He glanced at the big four poster bed with red satin curtains. The bed sheets and pillows were also satin red. At the far end of the room stood a round table with a vase of fresh red roses. Hanging on the wall were a variety of paintings that looked like they would cost a bunch of money if they were to be put up for sale in Sakura’s world. A particular painting caught his eyes. It was hung in a particular place where anybody that walked into the room would take notice of it right away. It was a painting of a young man who no matter how he looked at it, the young man in the painting resembled Sakura.

"This room used to belong to him,” Percy commented when he saw the boy’s eyes on the painting of his master’s first and only love.

Sakura turned his eyes away from the painting and looked at the man beside him. “Who is he and why am I staying in his room?” he asked.

“If you want to know who he is, you will have to ask my master. As for why you are staying here, the answer is very simple - because my master wishes you to. Now if you will excuse me, I will go see to your dinner.” Percy turned around and left the room, closing the door behind him.

Sakura walked over to the huge, four poster bed and lay down on his right side, facing the door. His thoughts were all over the place. So many things were running through his head, he wished that he could just wake up and that all of this would disappear and his life would return to normal. It was all that stupid book’s fault. If he knew then that taking the book with him and opening it would bring him to a world like this, he would never bothered to pick it up and take it with him.

Downstairs in his chair, Kei watched the gold key melt in the fire before his eyes. With the only keys gone, Sakura would not be able to leave him. He let his eyes wander away from the fire to the painting of his beloved Channy hanging on top of the fireplace. One hundred years he had waited for Channy. There was no way in hell he would let Channy leave him again. Thanks to his granddad Royce, he was able to meet his beloved once more. The only things that worried him now were his uncle Kuron and the person responsible for Channy’s demise one hundred years ago. A soft knock on his door distracted him from his thoughts. He turned his attention to the door and asked whoever it was to come in.

Percy opened the door and stepped inside. He made his way toward his master. “You called for me Master?”

Kei picked up the bottle of red potion and place it in front of Percy, "Take it and put a few drops of it in Sakura’s drinks and food. Understand?”

Percy hesitated for a second before picking up the bottle of red potion. "Master, are you sure about this?” he asked.

“Don't question me Percy. This is another way for me to keep him here with me.”

Percy let out a sigh. “As you wish Master.” He turned and left the room, shaking his head.

Sakura sat by himself in his room, eating his dinner when Kei came walking in. He took another bite of his food with his eyes following Kei’s every move. He finished his food fast, and drank down all the juice in the glass. He shot right up from his seat just as Kei sat down across from him. He took ten steps back from the table.

“Why are you here Kei?” he demanded.

“To see how you're doing Sakura,” Kei answered. “Tell me Sakura, how do you like our home?”

“Our home, are you kidding me? This is your home, not mine. My home is in the other world. And while we are on the subject, I would like to request for you to return me to my world.” He added.

“That I cannot do Sakura. You are my bride to be. I’ve waited so long for you, there is no way that I would let you go just like that. You will come to like this place and accept me as your husband.” Kei then stood up and slowly made his way towards the boy.

Sakura shook his head and took several steps back. His back hit the wall. Kei place one hand over his head and the other on the wall next to his waist. He was trapped, with no way to run. He took a deep breath and looked up at Kei.

“You know, you were a lot nicer before. Now you are a mean bully. You did a hundred and eighty degree turn once we arrived at your castle. Mind telling me why?” remarked Sakura.

Kei smirked. “That is because I wanted to give you a good impression of me, boy. Now that we are here, there is no need for me to hide my true self from you. After all, we are going to be married to each other. It is only right that I let you see my bad side as well,” he answered.

Sakura’s eyes widened in shock at the man’s confession. “You son-of-a-bitch. You lied to me, you manipulating scumbag. I can't believe that I trusted you. You bastard.” Before he could utter out more curses, Kei shut him up with a kiss.

The boy tasted good and his lips were so soft, so warm. He needed more. He forced the boy’s mouth open, and before the boy could guess his intent, he swept his tongue inside. He felt the boy struggle to pull away from him. Then to his surprise, the boy stopped struggling and put his arms around his neck. Not only that, the boy kissed him back. Finally he forced himself to pull away from the boy and stared down at the boy’s swollen red lips with a satisfied smirk on his face.

Sakura turned away. He was furious at himself. He couldn't believe it. Didn't want to believe it but he was kissed for the first time by a man, and not only that, he had surrendered to Kei’s kiss when he should have been struggling to get away from the man himself. He felt so ashamed for responding to a man’s kiss. He wanted to dig a hole and crawl in there to hide himself from the rest of the world.

Meanwhile in the city of Nadia, a wedding was about to take place. Yuu came out of his room wearing the color of mourning for a wedding he had not asked for. He choose it as a sign of his still mourning the loss of his sister and mother. When his father asked him why he wore it to his wedding, he bluntly replied that it was suitable since it went with his mood. His father shook his head.

“Are you asking to be killed on your wedding day Yuu?”

Yuu looked his father in the eyes. “It would please me more than anything to be killed on this day Father. At least when I'm dead I will get to join Mother and Sis on the other side And I would not have to bare my teeth and live the rest of my life with the man that murdered my mother and sister.” With that said, he turned and walked away from his father.

Nara could only hope that Lord Kuron would not be offended. A hand was placed on his shoulder. Nara looked up to see his lover Gavin. He gave him a weak smile.

“Don't worry. Everything will go well.”

Nara could only nod his head. Gavin took his lover’s hand and led them into the hall.

The wedding was fast. The boy was dressed for mourning. It pleased Kuron very much to see the boy’s rebellious nature. He had already expected it from the boy. It would make it more fun to torture him. He remembered the looked of pure hatred from the boy the day that he killed his mother and sister right in front of his eyes.

Hours had passed since the wedding ceremony. Yuu sat side by side with Kuron, the man who murdered his mother and sister. The man who he was now married to. Faith was so cruel, he thought as he stared down at the table, avoiding eye contact with the man next to him. Kuron was enjoying every moment of it. Seeing the looks the boy gave him and seeing how the boy didn't even try to hide his hatred for him from his men made him look forward to breaking the boy even more. Oh revenge was just so sweet, he thought.

“May I be excused?” Yuu asked when he couldn't stand it anymore.

“Yes you may,” repled Kuron. “Guard! Escort him to my chamber,” he added.

The guard nodded his head and led Yuu to the room that he would be sharing with Kuron. On his way, Yuu passed by the table where his father was sitting. He saw his father laughing and enjoying himself with one of Kuron’s men. That scene made his blood boil. He quickly turned away and continued walking. He wanted to get away from his father, from Kuron. He wanted to just die.

Once inside the bedchamber, he bathed and dressed for bed, all the while praying that Kuron would not bother him. He exited the bathroom to find Kuron sitting at the edge of the bed with a cruel smirk on his lips. He didn't have to see the man’s face to know what the man wanted. He almost went back into the bathroom and locked himself inside, but he didn't want the man to think that he was frightened of him. He took a deep breath and walked up to the man.

“What do you want Kuron?” he demanded.

“Why Yuu, isn't tonight our wedding night? Why else would I be here,” answered Kuron, his cruel smirk still in place.

“Stop the act. I know that you didn't marry me because you love me or anything else. So why don't we cut to the chase Kuron, why did you marry me?” Yuu demanded. All the while wishing that the man would remove his damn mask.

“Revenge boy. That's why I married you. Killing your mother and sister was not very satisfying, but marrying you and having you at my mercy is much more satisfying than killing your mother a hundred times.”

Yuu drew his hand back to strike Kuron, but the man caught his wrist and pushed him down onto the bed, pressing his heavy body on top of him. He struggled, “Let me go! You're hurting me!” The man just ignored him and gripped his chin roughly with his hand. Yuu let out a small whimper of pain.

Kuron leaned towards the boy until their noses touched. “I can damn well do whatever I want with you. You have no right to refuse me anything boy.”

"Damn you. What do you want from me?”

"What I want? That is hard to say boy, but rest assured that it is not your body, no matter how smooth your skin looks or how pretty you are. I will never touch you that way. Just the thought of it makes me want to puke. How about this? Starting tomorrow you will be my servant, serving my every need. Hmm... What do you say to that boy?” said Kuron with a evil grin.

“I say go to hell you bastard!”

Kuron grabbed the boy’s hair and roughly pulled his head back. “The only one here that will be going to hell is you boy. You will pay for everything your mother did to my brothers. Understand that.” He then released his hold on the boy. He got back on his feet and walked toward the door. He opened it and from the bed, Yuu could see a young and beautiful man dressed very seductively, waiting outside for Kuron.

He turned his head away as the door to his room closed. Yuu shut his eyes and prayed to have his uncle Phillip come to his rescue.

Kuron lay in bed with his lover. They had just finished making love for the second time that night. His lover sat up and stared down at him. “Kuron don't forget your promise. You said that you would not hurt Kei if I helped you.”

“It has been what, one hundred years already and you are still hung up on him? Evan, you must really love that bastard. But you are an idiot. You know that he doesn't love you, never will. It is better to give up on him."

"Never. Kei is mine, and will be mine. No matter how long it takes, I will make him realize that I am the one he is meant to be with,” Evan said with anger.

Kuron snorted. “I doubt that would happen Evan. Don't you know that the love of his life has returned to be by his side? If you want Kei, you will have to get rid of him.”

Evan lay back down and rested the side of his face on Kuron’s chest. “If I know you Kuron, you already have someone after his life. I have nothing to worry about, but if your men fail to take his life then I will do the honor once more and rid this world of him. And Kei will have no choice but to be mine.”
