A/N: First off, sorry for the long wait between chapters, but I lost inspiration for this story a bit, but don't worry, I should be back with more frequent updates. With that out of the way, thank you people who reviewed my story.
@Jacqui Rampart: I know I did a bit of purple prose with Allison, but I only did it because I saw it fitting. However, I will try to not do as much, although I can't say I had that in mind when I wrote this chapter, sorries. XD
Also, a Beta would be nice, so if anyone would be kind enough and have the time, I would wuvs you for it.
And as always, I welcome all critique and comments, whether they be positive or negative.

It would be a few more months before I would see young Allison again. Over that small period of time, my thoughts and wanting of her grew even stronger. Out of sight, out of mind? Well, that saying isn't that inaccurate, but there's a certain catch to it. Though I had managed to focus on other things than her after the first week, every time there was something that reminded me of her, her visage just came back stronger than ever. Dressed up in her little shirt and shorts, after a while, I wasn't able to get her out of my mind. I had grown so close to snatching up little Alice, but I didn't. Little did I know that I would be seeing her once again, and the happiest and saddest period of my life would begin.
It was finals week. Me, being a senior, was stuck along with every other senior in the big frenzy of studying their asses off, applying for colleges, being rejected, and things of that nature. I had already gotten a few replies back and had been accepted into a few rather good colleges already. I had also received a few scholarships as well. Nothing big, but enough to keep from worrying about money for a good bit. I received a letter in the mail every month from my mother with enough money to keep me not dead, though my father has conveniently forgotten to do that since he left. I knew the material, I got plenty of rest, and there seemed to be nothing to distract me from the finals.
I was at my locker when it happened. First period had just ended and I was emptying my backpack for a slightly lighter load.
“Hey, Nick?”
“Yeah, what's up?” It was Josh, the guy that had asked me to babysit a few months ago.
“You doing anything this Saturday?”
“'cept for thanking God that finals are finally gonna be over? Nope, nothing.”
“Yeah, well, my parents are throwing this little party thing and I wanted to know if you wanted to come. My parents are probably gonna be on the pool deck entertaining some guests, so it's probably gonna be just us in the living room and stuff.”
“Really now? And by 'in the living room stuff' do you mean sneaking out and having a wild night 'til the break of day?”
“Ha, I wish. Can't though. Remember my cousin Allison? She's gonna be spending summer with us, and that night'll be her first here, so we gotta keep it pretty PG. I know, sounds boring, but-”
Allison? Here? My heart almost skipped a beat at the thought. And it would be different this time as well. The words now coming out of Josh's mouth simply went in one ear and out the other as I could see how the evening would pan out. Sure, it would start with all of us in the living room, some on the couch and others on the floor, but it wouldn't be long before we started moving around. Some would go into the kitchen for snacks and to maybe talk privately. No doubt the girls would sink into their habit of texting each other even though they were only two feet apart. Josh...Josh would be keeping an eye on his cousin, and that's where I could see a problem.
“Hey...Nick! You listening?”
“H-huh?”
“Damn, never pegged you as the type to just space out like that. Anyway, do you wanna come or not?”
“Y-yeah, sounds fun man.”
“Awesome. Well, I'll catch you later then.”
Josh waved good-bye and I did the same, but all I could think about was the fact that in a few days, I would see Allison again. Her being Josh's cousin, I always figured there would be another chance to see her, but nothing like this, not so soon at least. Smiling, I closed the door to my locker and made my way to second period. All of a sudden, school just didn't seem as important anymore.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“I'm glad to hear that, Nick. For a second there, I was almost worried that my precious baby boy might've had a little trouble with his finals.”
“Ha, c'mon mom, you know me better than that. I didn't spend all those nights studying for no reason after all.”
“I know, but you know me, always worrying...Has your father called yet?”
“No. I don't even think he knows I'm graduating this year.”
“Don't say those things, your father...he's just been busy. I'm sure he'll call you in no time, alright?”
“Alright...well, I gotta get going. Me and some friends are gonna celebrate a bit.”
“Okay. Don't stay out too late now and make sure you're safe.”
“I know mom, bye.”
“Bye sweetie.”
Sighing softly, I hung up the phone before turning my gaze back towards the mirror. I had been getting ready for the little soirée when my mom called me. She was just seeing how I had done on the finals and how I was doing in general. Of course, she never has to worry. I've been nothing but the model son, the perfect student, and the reliable friend. And after all that, it's only fair to indulge a bit, isn't it? Chuckling a bit, a picked up the comb and ran it through my hair before following it with my hand. I couldn't look too proper after all. Dressed in a pair of non-torn jeans and an ironed polo, I grabbed my cell and wallet before heading over to Josh's place.
In my group of friends, Josh was definitely the richest one. His father was the regional manager for some chain of clothing stores and also a bit handy in the stock market as well. This meant him living in one of the town's few gated communities, as well as never having to worry about money really. He wasn't spoiled, no, but there was never anything he wanted that he couldn't get or afford. As I entered the combination into the keypad, I turned the volume on the radio up. “Young Lust” was playing and I couldn't help but grin. It was just too good.
The gate swung open and I drove in. Josh's house was near the center of the community, it being one of the larger houses there. I could already hear the sounds of a party as I turned the corner. Josh's parents were known for their parties, so it took me a while to find a place to park. After actually turning around and heading back towards the gate somewhat, I finally found a space.
“Nick, you're late!” Josh smiled and gave me one of those hugs that's just a handshake and a pat on the back before letting me in.
“Hey, it's not my fault I almost had to park outside this frikkin' place to find a spot man.” Chuckling softly, my eyes left Josh to scan the room for Allison. Damnit, no sign of her at all. Oh well. The night was young, and it would only be a matter of time before he saw her anyhow.
“That's what you get for being late, dude. C'mon, we just ordering pizza.”
I followed Josh to the living room where the usual group was assembled.
“Oh, Nick, what do you want on your pizza?” It was Sarah. Redhead, green eyes, tight body, ample bosom, even I could see that she was one hot piece of ass. She was also one of the few people in the group I could actually stand being alone with. There was an actual brain inside that red head of hers, which meant she shared a lot of classes with me. She wasn't fake like a lot of the hot girls at the school, and she was pretty nice and fun in general. Still, she wasn't the one I had his sights on.
“Pepperoni and sausage.” I smiled softly at everyone as I took a seat on the couch's armrest. There were a bunch of movies laid out on the floor, and it being Josh's house, most of them were either action, kung-fu, or comedies. I was about to reach forward and pick one of the more interesting looking ones up when I heard a glass door slide.
It was Allison. Turning my head towards the noise, I saw her coming in from the pool deck and into the living room. She was wearing a pair of jeans along with a Misfits tee. I doubted she listened to any of the bands I had seen on her shirts and merely wearing them for fashion's sake, but it wasn't long before my mind went back to the main attraction, and that was her in her entirety. She was smiling brightly, something she hadn't done in my care, as she closed the door behind her.
“Hey cuz, you remember Nick, right?”
“Hm?” She turned our way, her eyes open a bit wider in curiosity before they finally rested on me. I smiled softly and waved at her in hopes that she would remember me.
“Oh, yeah, hi.” She waved back, the smile disappearing as she made her way over to us. “I am so sick of their friends.” She sighed as she put her hands on the other armrest and leaned forward on them. “Your parents made me introduce myself to every single person out there.”
Josh laughed as he ruffled her hair a bit before moving towards the kitchen. “Oh c'mon, it's not like you'll ever see them again, so just be nice, look cute, and grin and bear it.”
“I know, but if I'm never going to see them again, what's the point in the first place?” She looked over to Josh, a slightly exasperated look on her face. It was obvious she hadn't enjoyed that little experience at all.
“Because they're doing a nice enough think by letting you stay here for the rest of the summer.” Josh filled a glass with some soda before heading over to her and handing it over.
“Thanks.” She said it softly before taking a sip. After swallowing, she sat down on the armrest.
There she was. All I had to do was lean over and I could run a hand through that silken hair of hers. But sadly, I couldn't. There were too many people and even if we were alone, it's not like she would just sit there and let me do what I pleased with her.
“What're we watching?” Allison turned towards Josh, who was now looking through the movies now, before setting her empty glass on the coffee table.
“Dunno, what're you guys in the mood for?”
“Comedy!”
“Action!”
“Kung-fu!”
It was obvious; no one wanted to watch the same thing. Frankly, I couldn't care less. We could've been watching white noise for all I cared, as long as Allison was there. That would be my entertainment and a movie would've simply been a distraction if anything.
“Let's watch a horror movie!” All eyes turned to Sarah at this suggestion. Horror? The idea was to simply relax, eat pizza, have fun, and to not be scared out of one's own wits. Even I was a bit surprised by this, though I kept silent.
“Horror, eh?” Josh was clearly interested by the proposition. Though I never pegged him as the type for horror, he never seemed like the kind of guy to scare easy either. Maybe they were just boring to him. “Be right back.” And just like that, Josh left.
“Damnit Sarah, why'd you have to go and suggest horror?” It was Jennifer, the resident bleached, bimbo blonde.
“Why, scared Jenny?” Sarah smirked a bit and stuck her tongue out at her. The two were always at each other for one reason or another, but for the most part, they were friendly at least.
“N-no! I-I mean, there's a little kid here. Aren't you worried about her?”
“Hey, I'm not a little kid!” Allison stood up and turned towards Jennifer, puffing her cheeks out in slight rage. I couldn't help but chuckle and smile at the sight. She looked so cute and I just wanted to pinch those cheeks of hers.
“Allison's right. She's not a little kid, she's a smart, mature, young adult, right?” I was still smiling as I looked over to her. I was just teasing her a bit, maybe stir things up if I could.
Allison looked over to me and she was pouting now. It was obvious she didn't appreciate what I had said, or at least how I said it, but I didn't care. She looked even more adorable now and I was glad I did it.
“C'mon guys, let's lay off my cousin a bit, eh? How about we let her decide what to watch? Well, Ms. Smart Mature Young Adult?”
We all turned to Allison, who seemed to be a bit flustered by the fact that it was all up to her now.
“Um...well...” From the looks of it, she didn't seem like a fan of horror movies either, but for different reasons from Josh. “I...I guess we can watch a horror movie or two...” She said it meekly, obviously not liking the idea already.
“Great, it's decided! I'll be right back, so everyone grab a seat and then we can start.” Josh smiled brightly at everyone before heading upstairs. As he was fetching the movies, the rest of us decided on seating arrangements.
I don't know exactly how it happened, but I somehow wound up on the couch with Sarah to my left and Allison to my right. Anyone would've said I was lucky to be sitting next to Sarah, but my eyes were only for sweet Allison at that point. I didn't even notice when Josh returned with horror in hand.
“Alright guys, everyone ready?” Josh was already putting the disk in the machine before he flipped the TV on. He ran over to turn off the lights before also pulling the shades closed on the glass door. He clicked 'play' on the remote before finally seating himself on the floor with everyone else. The movie started and everyone stopped talking.
I'm not gonna lie and say that nothing scares me or that I have 'balls of steel' or anything like that, but I will say I did not feel scared at all during the movie. Why? Well, because I wasn't watching it. While everyone's eyes were glued to the screen, mine were glued to the sweet little angel next to me.
She seemed so sweet and innocent. The TV screen was the only source of illumination, and so all I could see really was her face. I was so close to her and yet I could see not a single imperfection on that flawless porcelain. Every little scare made her jump a bit until eventually she was leaning on me for the most part. Wonderful. I also loved that little lip quiver of hers whenever the tension would rise until leading to the explosive climax of fear which would bring her closer and closer. Then, all of a sudden: “Aahhhhh!” Someone had knocked on the door and Allison had grabbed my arm in terror. All of the girls, except for Sarah, had screamed, and even I jumped a bit.
“Who know we had such a bunch of scaredy cats?” Josh smirked as paused the movie before heading over to the door. When he came back, he had pizza in hand and set it down on the table before resuming the movie. Allison hadn't released my arm and all I could do was thank whatever higher being had allowed such good fortune. She was...so close now. For a mere moment, I closed my eyes and indulged myself in her scent. She didn't wear perfume. Instead, it was something much more divine, more natural than that. It was her own smell and it was simply indescribable. She didn't notice and I couldn't risk being noticed, so unfortunately, I had to pull my head back and at least pretend to watch the movie. That didn't stop me though, gazing at her out of the corners of my eyes. The feeling of her delicate and small arms entwined around my own, it was amazing. My sweet, little Alice. I had looked for you for so long, and there you were, right beside me and trembling like a frightened little rabbit. I would keep you safe though. I wouldn't let a single scratch mar your perfect skin and I would make sure your innocence would be mine and mine alone.
The movie...it ended and it wasn't until then that Allison had noticed what she was doing. Her cheeks reddened instantly and she pulled herself away from me, obviously embarrassed for having been so scared.
“Well well, it looks like little Allison here has taken a bit of a liking towards Nick.” Josh chuckled as he stood up and looked at the two of us. She was still blushing, her gaze focused downward as she mumbled something along the lines of “No I don't...”
I laughed a bit before looking towards Josh. “C'mon Josh, you know that isn't true. She was probably just scared of the big, bad monsters in the movie, right?” I looked towards her again, finding the look on her face absolutely priceless.
She stayed silent though. It looked like she didn't want anyone to know that she was scared, after all, it was her decision to watch the movie after all. “S-shut up...” All I could do was grin at this, rather amused by this display.
“Hey, that's not a nice thing to say to the guy that had to watch your troublesome behind for so long. But anyway, I think it's time we all settle down and have some pizza.” Josh's words received a few cheers as the pizza wasn't even glanced at it once during the movie.
“I'll go grab some plates.” I sat up, and even though it meant leaving Allison's side, it was the type of thing I would do.
I had been to Josh's house before, so it was easy to find plates and glasses and the like. What surprised though was when Allison came into the kitchen as well. “Josh told me to help you,” she said, still a bit pouty from the whole ordeal.
“Well, isn't that nice of him, and you. Thanks.” I flashed her a small smile, just not believing what luck I was having that night. While I was filling a glass with soda, I heard her mumble something. “Hm?”
“I...I wasn't scared...”
I smiled again and nodded. “I know. Only little kids get scared, and you're not a little kid, right?”
“Uh, yeah, I'm not.” It seems my response had flustered her a bit. Maybe she was expecting more teasing from me. “Oh...and, er, thanks for watching me that night.”
“Ha, no problem. It's not like you caused me any trouble or anything. Feel free to drop by anytime.” Did I just invite her to my place? No no no no, I-I didn't. I just told her that if she wanted to come by...she could...W-whatever, she probably didn't give a care at all.
“Really?” Her eyes widened as they looked over to me, obvious excitement sparkling in them and for a moment, all I could do was stare into those eyes of hers.
“Y-yeah. I-I mean, it's not like I do anything exciting anyway.” That part was true. During summer, unless I was invited or anything, I pretty much just stayed at home and read. I had a few college interviews, but other than that, my summer would've been pretty empty. Not anymore it seemed.
“Cool.” She smiled at me, a big, happy, genuine smile before she took the plates back to the living room. I watched her leave, surprise obvious on my face. She...she wanted to come to my place? Why?
And there you go. Allison is back and Nick seems to be just as obsessed as ever. However, I wasn't entirely too happy with the ending, so if anyone has anything to say about that, I'd be very appreciative. Also, I'm unsure about how this chapter flowed as well, so comments on that would also be nice.
Thank you all to have read, rated and reviewed and I will see you next chapter, which hopefully won't take forever.
“Alright guys, everyone ready?” Josh was already putting the disk in the machine before he flipped the TV on. He ran over to turn off the lights before also pulling the shades closed on the glass door. He clicked 'play' on the remote before finally seating himself on the floor with everyone else. The movie started and everyone stopped talking.
I'm not gonna lie and say that nothing scares me or that I have 'balls of steel' or anything like that, but I will say I did not feel scared at all during the movie. Why? Well, because I wasn't watching it. While everyone's eyes were glued to the screen, mine were glued to the sweet little angel next to me.
She seemed so sweet and innocent. The TV screen was the only source of illumination, and so all I could see really was her face. I was so close to her and yet I could see not a single imperfection on that flawless porcelain. Every little scare made her jump a bit until eventually she was leaning on me for the most part. Wonderful. I also loved that little lip quiver of hers whenever the tension would rise until leading to the explosive climax of fear which would bring her closer and closer. Then, all of a sudden: “Aahhhhh!” Someone had knocked on the door and Allison had grabbed my arm in terror. All of the girls, except for Sarah, had screamed, and even I jumped a bit.
“Who know we had such a bunch of scaredy cats?” Josh smirked as paused the movie before heading over to the door. When he came back, he had pizza in hand and set it down on the table before resuming the movie. Allison hadn't released my arm and all I could do was thank whatever higher being had allowed such good fortune. She was...so close now. For a mere moment, I closed my eyes and indulged myself in her scent. She didn't wear perfume. Instead, it was something much more divine, more natural than that. It was her own smell and it was simply indescribable. She didn't notice and I couldn't risk being noticed, so unfortunately, I had to pull my head back and at least pretend to watch the movie. That didn't stop me though, gazing at her out of the corners of my eyes. The feeling of her delicate and small arms entwined around my own, it was amazing. My sweet, little Alice. I had looked for you for so long, and there you were, right beside me and trembling like a frightened little rabbit. I would keep you safe though. I wouldn't let a single scratch mar your perfect skin and I would make sure your innocence would be mine and mine alone.
The movie...it ended and it wasn't until then that Allison had noticed what she was doing. Her cheeks reddened instantly and she pulled herself away from me, obviously embarrassed for having been so scared.
“Well well, it looks like little Allison here has taken a bit of a liking towards Nick.” Josh chuckled as he stood up and looked at the two of us. She was still blushing, her gaze focused downward as she mumbled something along the lines of “No I don't...”
I laughed a bit before looking towards Josh. “C'mon Josh, you know that isn't true. She was probably just scared of the big, bad monsters in the movie, right?” I looked towards her again, finding the look on her face absolutely priceless.
She stayed silent though. It looked like she didn't want anyone to know that she was scared, after all, it was her decision to watch the movie after all. “S-shut up...” All I could do was grin at this, rather amused by this display.
“Hey, that's not a nice thing to say to the guy that had to watch your troublesome behind for so long. But anyway, I think it's time we all settle down and have some pizza.” Josh's words received a few cheers as the pizza wasn't even glanced at it once during the movie.
“I'll go grab some plates.” I sat up, and even though it meant leaving Allison's side, it was the type of thing I would do.
I had been to Josh's house before, so it was easy to find plates and glasses and the like. What surprised though was when Allison came into the kitchen as well. “Josh told me to help you,” she said, still a bit pouty from the whole ordeal.
“Well, isn't that nice of him, and you. Thanks.” I flashed her a small smile, just not believing what luck I was having that night. While I was filling a glass with soda, I heard her mumble something. “Hm?”
“I...I wasn't scared...”
I smiled again and nodded. “I know. Only little kids get scared, and you're not a little kid, right?”
“Uh, yeah, I'm not.” It seems my response had flustered her a bit. Maybe she was expecting more teasing from me. “Oh...and, er, thanks for watching me that night.”
“Ha, no problem. It's not like you caused me any trouble or anything. Feel free to drop by anytime.” Did I just invite her to my place? No no no no, I-I didn't. I just told her that if she wanted to come by...she could...W-whatever, she probably didn't give a care at all.
“Really?” Her eyes widened as they looked over to me, obvious excitement sparkling in them and for a moment, all I could do was stare into those eyes of hers.
“Y-yeah. I-I mean, it's not like I do anything exciting anyway.” That part was true. During summer, unless I was invited or anything, I pretty much just stayed at home and read. I had a few college interviews, but other than that, my summer would've been pretty empty. Not anymore it seemed.
“Cool.” She smiled at me, a big, happy, genuine smile before she took the plates back to the living room. I watched her leave, surprise obvious on my face. She...she wanted to come to my place? Why?
And there you go. Allison is back and Nick seems to be just as obsessed as ever. However, I wasn't entirely too happy with the ending, so if anyone has anything to say about that, I'd be very appreciative. Also, I'm unsure about how this chapter flowed as well, so comments on that would also be nice.
Thank you all to have read, rated and reviewed and I will see you next chapter, which hopefully won't take forever.
