Life was all about the simple pleasures.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Rain was curled up on an overstuffed chair, his arms carefully wrapped around the tiny, sleeping child that had just recently come into this world. Jiaya and Kazuki’s child had come just a few days early, freaking them all out as well as making them overly happy. This wasn’t the first time that Rain had held the little boy but… it was the first time that he had held him alone. Normally every time the baby was out of Jiaya or Kazuki’s arms, they were hovering around, watching their fragile son closely. This time was different though, they had asked him to watch their son while they had some… alone time.
Rain was loving it.
“Awww, don’t you look so cute with a baby.”
Rain’s eyes were wide as he looked up, relaxing when he saw who it was. There were some people in the temple that he was still jumpy around even if they were all nice to him. “Well, thank you.” He murmured softly, watching as Rayne walked over, carefully sitting down on the chair next to him. “It won’t be long until you have one of your own to hold.” He said, looking down at Rayne’s very clear baby bump. He was five months pregnant so that was to be expected. He chuckled a bit when he read his shirt, shaking his head at the big, white letters that read ‘My Superpower is Growing People, What’s Yours?’.
“Ahhha, yes, only another month.” Rayne said, his hand settled over his distended stomach. “Me and Mischief are so excited, he constantly talks to the baby, it’s so funny.” He murmured, laughing a bit as he lazed back against the comfortable chair, glad to be off his feet. An almost full term baby belly was a lot of weight to carry around.
“I’ve seen him doing that.” Rain said, a soft smile coming to his features. He had been smiling a lot more lately, something that hadn’t gone unnoticed by anyone in the temple even if he didn’t notice it himself. Majin had done a wonderful job healing the emotional scarring he had, had leaving him in a much better state of mind. “It’s adorable, you two seem very happy together.” He murmured, his smile faltering a bit as he thought, becoming more then envious before quickly shaking it off.
Rayne sighed softly, his hand smoothing over his stomach as he watched the smaller man. They had all watched him grow and heal… they had watched him as he started to want his own things and it was painfully obvious what he wanted now. A baby… he wanted a baby like so much of them had. “You and Majin… you two seem very happy too.” He pointed out, smiling when the mention of Majin automatically made Rain brighten and smile again.
“Yeah… we really are.” Rain said, shifting the child slightly when he started to wake up, sitting up the just months old baby so that he wouldn’t start crying. He had learned very early on that the baby didn’t like laying down when he wasn’t asleep. “He’s really good to me…” He murmured, his voice trailing off as he thought.
Rayne hummed a bit before he shifted forward, holding his arms out to take the child out of Rain’s arms. “Well, right now he’s taking a nap in his room.” He murmured, cuddling the baby in his arms as he smiled. “Maybe you should go lay down with him, let him… be good to you.” He said, almost grinning as he watched Rain try to figure out what he was talking about. He chuckled under his breath when Rain suddenly blushed, looking away a bit. Yeah… he got it now.
~~~~~~~~~~Four Months Later~~~~~~~~~~
“Kiroa! Ari! Get back here!” Taeski yelled as the two children ran down the hall, taking off after them, skidding around the corner when the two children, more like mini devils, suddenly disappeared around it. The little suckers were fast and slick, he had, had a hard time keeping up with him when he was the nanny but now that he was mommy… they thought that they could get away with so much more. His eyes widened when he spun around another corner, suddenly skidding to a halt. “Ohhh, shit, Rain, are you ok?” He asked, only able to guess that the two children had knocked him down seeing as he was currently sprawled on the floor with the little boy and girl sitting beside him.
Rain looked up, his hair tussled and the bags he had been carrying lying on the ground beside him. He looked shocked but not hurt just a little… out of it.
“Yeah! Are you ok, Blue?” Kiroa asked, shifting and looking up at the male that she and Ari had taken down by running into. “We didn’t mean to knock you down.” She said, pouting a bit as she inched closer.
Rain just chuckled a bit and nodded, reaching out to ruffle both of the children’s hair. “Of course, I’m fine.” He said, shifting and humming softly, helping the two kids up before he pushed himself up also, grabbing the bags he had been carrying. “But make sure to remind mommy that he owes a dollar to the curse jar now.” He said, sticking his tongue out as he looked up at Taeski.
Taeski groaned a bit, shaking his head. “That curse jar was the best and worst idea we ever had.” He said, chuckling slightly. After they had all moved in together, they had set up the ‘curse jar’. Every time one of them cursed, any one of them, they owed a dollar to the curse jar. It was their way of setting up a savings account for the various children in the house as well as try to stop their habits of cursing. It wasn’t good to teach little kids curse words. “Ahhh, were those the new dishes you went to buy?” He asked, looking down at the bags with a slight wince.
Rain nodded, lifting the bags. “Yeah… but trust me, I bought plastic this time after the… china incident, they’ll be just fine.” He shook his head minutely when he recalled the incident when the children had pulled a table clothe off their rather large dining room table, completely destroying a rather expensive set of fine china.
Taeski nodded at that, just looking Rain over. “Yeah… that’s a good idea…” He murmured, watching Rain for a few more moments before reaching forward and taking the bags from him. “Kiroa, Ari, why don’t you go out and play with Yoshiyuki and Akira?” He asked, shooing the children away before he started to walk with Rain to the kitchen. “Are you sure you’re ok?” He asked, looking over at him. “I heard Majin talking to Sonuki this morning… he said you got sick last night… like sick to your stomach and dizzy.”
Rain made a soft noise at that, reaching down to rub his stomach a bit. “Yeah… but I’m fine, I just ate something that didn’t agree with me, Majin said it’s nothing serious.” He said, taking one of the bags when he entered the kitchen, moving to wash the new dishes before he dried them and set them in the cupboards. “I’ve been fine since then; it was just a fluke thing.” He said, smiling as he looked back, drying the dish in his hand.
Taeski hummed a bit at that, tapping his nails on the counter as he thought. “Are you sure that was it?” He asked, chuckling a bit at Rain’s confused expression. “Think about it Rain, you and Majin sleep together every night.” He murmured, walking around the island to step closer to the blue haired man. “I know you two have sex… no one could look as relaxed as you and Majin if you haven’t screwed each other at least a couple times.”
Rain coughed at that, dropping the plate he had been washing back into the soapy water. “Well... ummm…” He blushed deeper at that, knowing that Taeski was absolutely correct. “Why are you bringing that up?” He asked, picking the plate back up and rewashing it.
“Come on; put two and two together Rain.” Taeski said, smiling again when he tapped the smaller man on the nose. He was easily the smallest one here… only able to be compared with Chris or Kiyoshi. “Could you be pregnant?”
Who would have guessed… a plastic plate can break.

Rain jumped when he suddenly felt a weight settled beside him on the chaise lounge, blinking a few times when he was suddenly pulled into a tight hug. “Majin… is something wrong?” He asked softly, one of his hands sliding up to pull his lover just a bit closer.
“You tell me that, Rain.” Majin murmured, looking down at him with worried eyes as he kept him close to him with a hug. “Why did you go to the doctor… and without me?” He asked, swallowing a bit. “What did you need to go to the doctor for... I thought that you said that everything was ok… that your head was ok, did you feel depressed again?” He murmured, touching the others head gently.
“No, no, I’m fine Majin… really; I just went to Hideo about my sick spell earlier.” Rain said, sighing softly. He tapped the papers on his lap softly, sighing a bit. “And because of something Taeski said… I had to check it out.” He murmured, smiling as he looked up at Majin. “I have something I need to tell you, Maj.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Later that night as he was holding Rain’s hair back, soothing him as he got sick once again, Majin couldn’t stop smiling. He pressed a soft kiss against the back of Rain’s neck, the hand not holding his hair smoothing over his stomach carefully. He knew he shouldn’t be happy… not when his lover was sick and miserable but he couldn’t help it. Sitting here, holding his lover close and knowing, absolutely knowing that he was pregnant… carrying their child…
That was another one of life’s simple pleasure.
AN: Ok, let me say the characters before I forget who I used or… mentioned *giggles*
Rain, Rayne, Kazuki, Chris, Kiyoshi, Yoshiyuki, Akira, Taeski and Hideo are Mine.
Mischief, Majin, Jiaya, Sonuki, Kiroa, and Ari are Nat’s.
All right, I guess next I should say that this is NOT an RP, me and Nat did NOT RP this together; I just used the characters to write a story.
This is actually months ahead of our rp… I have written into the future! *giggles* This has not happened yet.
Hmm, now to explain the curse jar a bit more. When my best friend had her baby, we set up a curse jar, we only put a quarter in when we curse but… it’s the same gist. If someone curses, they pay the curse jar a quarter and we’re using the money in the jar (which is quite a bit) to start up a college fund for her, its working pretty well so far because… people curse a lot.
Well, I think that’s pretty much it. I’m kind of on a… OC kick so you’ll probably see more OC stories from me for the moment… I will get back to my fan fictions though, I promise!
Yes, I know Simple Pleasures was supposed to be a one-shot but… I just had to write more about these two! They are so adorable!
Well, thank you so much for reading and don’t forget to feed the author!
