Encounter
Co-written by Aya Frost
“Oh come on Ruka, you have to go!” Masa was whining again as they stood in the parking area. The smell of hot engines and hotter pavement made for an almost suffocating atmosphere.
“No. I already told you. I’m not racing those guys. They take unnecessary risks. Look.” Ruka pointed to the white streak on the flank of Masa’s car. “They tried to take you out of the race Masa.”
“Nah, we just swapped some paint is all. Common, please you’ve got to run the next heat with us.”
Ruka smiled, “Not tonight Masa. Tell Fuji I’ll see him later. I think I’m going to hit a bar and call it a night.”
“Ohh,” Masa raised an eyebrow at him then grinned. “Hope you get lucky man. See you later.”
Ruka shook his head before walking over to his car. There wasn’t anything like the thrill of racing, but he wanted something else tonight. Something more physical and tactile, he wanted more than just the body numbing vibration of the engine and the press of g’s against his chest. He wanted mind numbing pleasure and the press of a body against his.
It had been a while, a week at least since he’d last had any one. Had it really been that long? No wonder he felt like he was jumping out of his skin. That last time hadn’t been particularly memorable, though. Sure it had been fun, getting each other off in the back of the club while people surrounded them, oblivious. But, like with the others once it was over he’d been left feeling empty and incomplete again. The experience blurred into the memory of other similar encounters. No single face stuck out. No one encounter stood out from the others. He might as well be at home jacking off, but that wasn’t really satisfying either.
He wanted more than a one night stand, more than a few minutes in a public restroom. He just wanted . . . someone. Was that really too much to ask? Apparently so, fate had not been particularly kind to him when it came to having someone to love him. Not even his own parents had cared.
He shoved that though down hard. He was not going to ruin his evening by thinking out them. He wanted to go enjoy himself and he couldn’t do that if he was depressed over things he had no control over anyway. Starting the car he smiled at the throaty purr. It wasn’t one he normally used for racing but it wasn’t exactly slow either. Peeling out of the parking area he knew he was being watched by the gathered crowd and grinned. They could look and be jealous of him or the car it didn’t matter.
Heading back into Kobe he thought about where he wanted to go. He’d try some place new tonight. Somewhere he hadn’t been before. Maybe he’d see some new faces. Maybe, just maybe one of them would be the one he’d been looking for, the one he’d thought he’d found in Sono. He shied away from that thought and pressed the pedal down farther feeling the engine jump to respond. The other cars seemed to almost be standing still as he weaved his way around them on the toll road. It was nearing midnight so the traffic was light. He was pushing a hundred twenty when he saw the exit ramp he needed. Shifting gears he hit the brake and drifted through the corner, tires squalling, the g-forces seeming to grab him by the spine pressing him deep into the seat. He shifted again and hit the gas coming out of the drift still going well over a hundred. He laughed the adrenaline searing through him.
“Too damn good.”

Ruka smiled as he stepped inside the club. Music was blaring almost painfully loud the lights strobing hypnotically in time with the thrashing beat. Scantily clad bodies gyrated in time out on the dance floor looking more like a seething mass than individual dancers. There was something oddly sensual and orgy-like about it, sharing the heat of a nameless someone even though you might never see them again.
He headed for the bar the music thumping in his chest. Tonight he was going to find someone. He just knew it. Something in the air seemed rarified as though electrically charged. He scanned the crowd with a practiced eye. There were definitely a lot of fine-looking people already dancing and it was early yet. At the bar he ordered an Absolut Pleasure. He turned leaning against the thick wood. Looking out at the dance floor he sipped his drink, trying to spot anyone who looked remotely interesting. A few were good looking but nothing that just really called to him. No he’d wait until he saw the one person who he couldn’t do without. For the night, anyway. Then he’d see where things went.
"Tonight is going to be good."
Daisuike flashed his ID to the bouncer and got ushered in ahead of the line. Being yakuza did have its privileges at least. Making his way through the crowd he headed for the bar. He needed something to help him relax.
The bartender came over raising his eyebrows. "What'll it be?"
"Rum and coke please."
Turning around Daisuike leaned against the bar watching the crowd. He wasn’t really sure this was where he should be. Why seek out people when you really didn’t enjoy their company anyway? He’d seen a few looks tossed his way, but he knew nothing would come of it. It never did. He should be used to the loneliness by now. It wasn’t like anyone would want anything to do with him once they knew. He’d just got to the bar, get pleasantly buzzed, maybe dance for a bit and loose himself in the anonymity of it.
Ruka blinked watching as a guy walked by him to the bar his breath catching in his throat. The man was absolutely beautiful, stunning beyond words actually. The loose fitting dress shirt had been unbuttoned a couple of buttons as if he’d just come from the office. The black suit coat didn’t hide the broad shoulders that tapered to a narrow waist and slim hips. It was the face that really got Ruka though. Dark, obsidian dark eyes simmered under black stands of hair that feathered out around the high cheek bones and square jaw down to the shirt collar. The almost feminine curve of lush lips completed the near perfection. Hearing the man order rum and coke Ruka smirked. A bit of a hard drinker. Smirk still firmly in place he pushed away from the bar walking over to see who this delectable person might be.
He set his glass down next to the man’s; raising an eyebrow at the already half empty glass of rum and coke. Placing a hand on the bar next to slender hips he leaned against it, casually trapping the slightly shorter man against it. Leaning closer he smiled.
"Mmm, I don't think I've seen you here before. I would definitely remember a face like yours."
Daisuike blinked, startled as he found himself only inches from an exotic face. His first reaction was disbelief and for a moment he wasn’t sure if he was looking at a woman or man. Blonde shocks of hair almost hid brilliant green eyes that were looking at him with an intensity he could literally feel. Subtle smoky shadow around the eyes highlighted their delicate shape making the green stand out all the more. The smile was gorgeous and sent an odd rush through him. The voice startled him being deep with an almost husky quality to it. He went to back up only to realize he was already against the bar. Blinking a few times he tried to get his brain to start working again, it was kind of hard with those green eyes staring at him. Was this guy, for it was definitely a guy, seriously talking to him?
"A-ano . . ."
Ruka smiled as he looked into those dark eyes, already trapped by them all the way to those lush lips. He wondered if those lips were as soft as they looked and found himself desperately wanting to know. It was strange to find himself so attracted to someone so fast but he was caught.
Reaching up with his free hand he played with the black silk scarf moving a bit closer, able to feel his body heat. He smelled of cologne and a uniquely male scent that Ruka found intoxicating. He had to be smooth about this even though he was dying to see just how fast and how far he could go.
"I see the cat's got your tongue. . ." Leaning a bit closer he smiled even brighter seeing the slightly shocked and unsure look in the other man’s eyes. He had an urge to touch that flawless skin and Ruka was surprised at his own forwardness. There was just something about this guy he found irresistible.
"I-I’m sorry . . . do I know you?" Daisuike finally managed. Why was that so hard to think as he looked up at the man? Daisuike felt a little breathless at how close the man was. His eyes automatically dropped down to take in the gorgeous smile before looking back up. He had to look away. Something about this man was both tantalizing and a little intimidating which kind of threw Daisuike. He'd never felt intimidated by anyone, not quite like this anyway. He looked out at the crowd trying to figure out why he felt both uneasy and excited.
He sucked in a startled breath as he felt smooth fingers on his chin turning his face back towards the man. They stroked his jaw lightly, feather soft touches that send hot tingles racing across his skin. There was that enigmatic smile again and something seemed to clench around his heart.
"Mm, no, I would definitely remember you. Come dance with me? I promise you that you won't regret it." Ruka licked his lips and smiled seeing the way dark eyes flickered to his mouth. Just seeing how this guy was reacting to him was turning him on. With a smirk he went to prove his point. Letting his hand slide from the bar to the jean clad hip he shivered at the change from the cold polished wood to the smooth heat. Slipping his hand under the shirt and hooking a finger into the belt loop he leaned just a bit closer.
"I'm told I'm a good dancer. . ." His voice was husky, his body reacting to this gorgeous man far wilder than he expected. His pulse hammering in his ears and groin, and he fought to keep his breathing even.
Daisuike's eyes widened even more feeling the hand at his waist and he went to push the man away. He jerked his hands back having met bare skin disconcerted at the rush of heat it sent though him. That should not affect him the way it was. He wasn't attracted to men! Was he? He couldn't deny that he found this man extremely attractive and that thought actually frightened him. He was yakuza damn it. He didn’t get frightened just because some guy was being little touchy with him. He took a breath getting himself under control. Maybe someone was playing a joke on him. Sending this man over to confuse and embarrass him.
Ruka smirked and leaned close to his ear wishing he hadn’t jerked back those long elegant fingers. His skin was still tingling, "Mm, you can keep touching if you'd like. I definitely don't mind."
Letting his breath tickle the ear, he shifted letting his fingers slide up under the shirt and wanted to moan. It was like touching silk draped over sculpted marble, but he was so warm and alive, the muscles twitching under his finger tips.
"You’re alone?" He grinned before softly adding, "One dance. I promise to keep my hands to myself. Mostly."
Daisuike shook his head incredulous that this man was coming on to him. He wasn't even used to women hitting on him. He had to get control of himself and the situation. It was more than a little difficult to do with that warm soft breath on his ear, those impossibly hot fingers resting just above his pants. He shivered a bit trying to move away.
"Thanks, but no I'm sorry."
Ruka frowned the first pang of rejection already starting to hit. Why was he resisting him? No one had ever resisted him! What was wrong with this guy? Was he straight or something? A pout formed on Ruka's lips as he stared at dark inscrutable eyes.
"At least give me a reason why you're refusing me. Are you straight or something?" It kind of bothered him that he was turning him down. He was really attracted to him, even more than he had been attracted to Sono when they had first met.
Seeing that pout did something to Daisuike and he suddenly felt bad. "It not that, I’m just . . ."
He bit his lip looking down. What did he mean? Why was he suddenly so confused? Even when women had come on to him he hadn't felt this way. It was very disconcerting for him. Something about this man made him desperately want to please him, just to see him smile. That gorgeous smile.
Shit! What was he supposed to do? He looked around. He didn’t see anyone he knew. No one would see him to tell his brothers. He glanced back up, brushing at a stray lock of hair not wanting anyone to see the slight tremble. What was he doing? He really didn’t know, but he’d find out.
"I . . . I guess one dance wouldn't hurt."
Instantly Ruka smiled and seeing a return smile made him happy. He was glad that he had decided to dance. Even if they just danced it would be nice to be close. The way his body felt just near his sent Ruka's on fire and the possibility of being pressed up against him made Ruka want to groan.
Taking his hand off the toned waist he stepped back bowing some, "Thank you, Ouji-sama." He smiled at him before taking his hand and leading him to the dance floor.
"Ouji-sama?" Daisuike didn't know what to make of the title. Who would call him a prince? He let himself be led out onto the dance floor not really sure what to expect. This guy was already touching him more than anyone ever had and it was making his head spin. The pulsating beat didn’t help either, making his heart beat a little too fast and leaving him slightly breathless.
Just one dance. That was it. Then he'd go back to drinking. Alone. There was no way this guy would stick around after that. Daisuike didn’t miss the glances and outright stares as they moved onto the dance floor. He could obviously have any one, man or woman that he wanted. So why did he want to dance with him?
Ruka smiled as they moved into the crowd finally turning around and moving close to his beautiful prince. With an easy smile he waited a moment before slowly getting into the music moving to the flow of it. Ruka couldn't help but smile as he danced. He'd give him a moment before he moved closer and decided to heat things up.
"This your type of music Ouji-sama?"
Daisuike backed up as much as he could as the other dancers around them kept him pinned close to the blond. The music wasn't real fast but was too fast to slow dance to, more of a slow groove. He had to keep his mind off of how close he was, it was doing weird things to him. Weird and very unexpected things. He felt very self conscious hoping he didn't look stupid, but not sure why it suddenly mattered.
"Not really, but it's not bad."
"Mm, I would prefer a faster beat but this is nice."
Ruka smirked moving closer to Suke, hearing the music speed up a bit. Taking the opportunity he slipped his hand around his waist drawing them even closer. Tucking his thumb into the belt loop he grinned letting his body sway to the music and against his beautiful prince loving the way they would briefly touch for a split second. It was addicting and he was finding it hard to resist the urge to flush their bodies against each other and grind against this delicious body.
Daisuike's breath caught in his throat and he almost stopped moving altogether. Damn it! Why couldn't he think? The feel of that muscular arm around his waist and the heat radiating off of the man was sapping what little resistance he’d had. He was used to dealing with stressful situations and having to instantly assess things and make snap decisions, so why was the simple fact that this man was touching him making that impossible. He couldn't figure it out. He was supposed to be the one in control, the one in charge so why did he not really care that this man seemed to be taking control? He looked up at him only to realize that was probably the wrong thing to do.
Ruka smiled leaning even closer, letting their bodies press even closer together. Seeing the way the man was looking at him he couldn't help it. As much as he wanted to keep restraint he couldn't. He just couldn't! Those beautiful eyes staring up at him with an uncertain look, a look that made him unable to resist.
Smiling even wider he leaned down some breathing their breath start to mingle. God, he didn't even know this guy's name but the appeal of kissing him was too damn strong. Reaching up with his other hand he cupped a jaw, his fingertips sliding through silky hair so easily.
"Do you realize how beautiful and irresistible you are? I don't think I've ever met someone like you. . ." Ruka's words were murmured softly before he brushed their lips together wondering how he would react. Praying to whatever god would listen that he wouldn't shove him away.
Daisuike shuddered his lips suddenly tingling fiercely and he heard himself make a very un-thug-like sound. He instantly felt dizzy not sure if what was happening was real or not. The soft fingers were still in his hair, holding his head and he inexplicably felt as though he might melt, his whole body too warm. His extremities a distant memory as all sensation seemed focused on his lips.
"Wh-what are you doing?"
Ruka smiled seeing the hesitant look and hearing low whine. It had been absolutely beautiful and he wanted to hear it again, desperately. Licking his lips he smiled down at him still moving to the beat, enjoying the soft feel of his body. It was driving him mad and he wanted to go find somewhere private. Or semi private. Or a dark corner. Or hell, the bathroom would do at this point. It had been so long since he’d felt like this. This breathless urgency and need. He knew he had to take things a bit slow, he didn’t want to completely scare the man off. He’d take however long he needed just as long as he could hear that sound and taste those lips again.
"I kissed you Ouji-sama, what did it seem like I did." Leaning closer again until their lips were almost touching, shivering lightly. "And I think I might do it again." And he did, letting the soft groan escape him as he pulled him closer.
Daisuike gasped his eyes wide. This was not anything that he'd ever in his wildest dreams expected to have happen to him. Maybe getting stabbed at a club, but kissed . . . by a guy. An extremely hot guy albeit, but still. He was frustrated with himself. Why couldn't he push him away? He wasn’t going to let this guy just do whatever he wanted. He was yakuza damn it! He should be able to make this guy stop . . . except he wasn't sure he wanted him to. That thought scared him more than anything.
Ruka pulled back slowly a bit dizzy from the kiss. Even if he hadn't kissed back, the taste of him was addicting and he wanted to do it more, to explore him in every way possible. Seeing the stunned look he tilted his head.
"Was it not good for you? If you want me to, I can try harder. . ." Ruka wanted desperately to get this guy to respond to him, to enjoy the kiss as much as he was, but there was a look, a shocked look, to his eyes and it bothered Ruka. Why hadn't he pushed him away? He was reminding Ruka of a school girl getting her first surprise kiss.
"Did you. . . not want me?"
Daisuike licked his lips, it was extremely odd to taste someone else. He blinked looking up at the man. He didn't even know his name. He pulled away not sure what to do. He was trembling all over and needed some air. He'd never in his life had someone make him feel anything like this. He backed up running into the person behind him.
"I . . I'm sorry."
Ruka instantly grabbed his arm. He didn't want to lose this person. For some reason he was desperate. He'd never found himself this needing of another person besides Sono.
"Wait. . . Let's get you some air." He could see the slight panic in his eyes and didn't like it at all. Gently he led him towards a back door opening it. Instantly the cool air hit them both and Ruka shook slightly pulling his jacket around him some.
"I'm sorry. I didn't- I didn't realize you didn't want that. You're extremely hard to resist."
Daisuike stood staring at the pavement his hands shoved in his pockets. This was all just a bit overwhelming for him. The cool air was helping to clear his head a bit, but it didn't help that he could feel the warmth radiating from the other man as he stood near.
"I . . . its just-kind of sudden." Daisuike shook his head feeling like an idiot. He probably sounded like one too. What the hell was he supposed to say?
Ruka shrugged looking up at the sky he could see through the two buildings. "I'm a straightforward kind of guy. I find you hella attractive so I went for it." Tilting his head a bit towards the dark haired man he smiled as he stared at him. "I'm glad I did too. You're stunning and I'd like to get to know you more."
He paused his eyes lingering. "A lot more."
Daisuike didn't look up not sure what to say but hearing that sent a thrill through him, his body suddenly running cold his skin tingling. He shivered wishing he hadn't left his jacket inside. He glanced over at the man still shocked all over again by how beautiful he was. It wasn't very fair.
"Introductions are always a good place to start."
Seeing the shiver he instantly pulled his coat off speaking softly, "You may call me Ruka." He smiled as he pulled the jacket around broad shoulders, letting his fingers trail down his arms.
"And what may I call you my beautiful Ouji-sama?"
Daisuike glanced up at him as he was suddenly enveloped in a smell that was at once comforting and intoxicating. He had to get a grip. "Ano . . . thanks." He looked back down his fingers unconsciously playing with the soft fabric of the jacket. "I should probably go back inside."
He didn't want to. Not in the least. He would have gladly stayed out in the cold night air getting to know Ruka better, but that probably wasn't going to be happening. He probably shouldn't let it happen.
Ruka’s smile was tinged with sadness, really not wanting him to go. Stepping closer he wrapped an arm around his waist pulling him close. Smiling playfully as he leaned closer his lips almost touching the other’s. He reached into a jeans pocket pulling his phone out and in the same motion taking out his own cell.
Stepping back he flipped them both open and sending each other's info to their phones. "Thought I was going to kiss you again, ne?" Stepping back to him he closed the phone sliding it back into his pocket letting his fingers linger a bit longer than absolutely necessary.
"Though I wouldn't mind doing it again if you'd allow it, Ouji-sama."
Daisuike swallowed nervously feeling weak. Everything about Ruka kept him off balance unable to recover and make a seemingly sound decision. Slipping the jacket off he handed it back to Ruka.
Looking at him for a moment he realized he was at a complete loss for words. Turning he opened the door. He wasn't really ready to head back inside just yet, but he couldn't stay here. There were just too many unknowns. The biggest one being his own reaction to this beautiful stranger, the man just made his brain too muddled to think straight and he needed a few minutes to sort things out. Maybe another rum and coke would help.
