Settling
AN: The following are short chapters. Each one is a just a few moments or hours and like Journey Of Goodbye, mostly dialogue. I'm stepping out of my comfort zones and trying to do more with conversation and less with overly dramatic and lengthy descriptions.
Settling
“You're really doing this, leaving me?”
“Sex isn't enough. I won't pay just to keep you in my life.”
“You don't love me!”
“Never said I did. You're the one equating my sexual passion for something deeper.”
“I can't keep this place without you.”
“Better find a new girl then, because this one can't stay. Not like this.”
“Fine go. Whatever. I don't need you.”
“I'm already packed. Goodbye lover.” She said slinging the last pack over her shoulder. She tossed her set of house keys to him. “Rent's paid 'til the fifth.”
“Fine. Get out.”
“Gone lover.”
The door slammed shut behind her. There was the dull roar outside for a moment and then the motor to her truck kicked over. Her watched silently, angrily, as she drive away. The best thing he's ever had was driving away in that truck and it hurt him to know that she'd been fond of him but didn't love him and refused to take care of him any longer.
