Our Future Separated
Chapter I
Our Future Separated
<3rd person narrative>
“‘I can’t… I’m indebted to this place. Plus, if the two of us were caught running away, they would kill us.’ Risuka turned away from Haruka-sama, scared to look into his eyes, ‘I can’t…’ As Risuka heard herself say those words, it felt as if reality came back to her. She was stuck in the oiran house for the rest of her life. There was no possible way for the two of them to be able to have that happily ever after. She sat up, still refusing to look at him, as the tears welt up.
“‘I promise I’ll take care of you. I’ll protect you. We won’t get caught. I promise.’ His strong arms wrapped around her waist as he hugged her tightly from behind.
“The couple stayed in the same room for the rest of the night. It wasn’t until the moon was high up in the sky did the two of them decide to run away. Haruka-sama jumped down the three story building, easily landing on his feet. Risuka, hesitating just a little, jumped as well. She landed in his strong arms. But their escape wasn’t quiet.
“Just as the two of them began to run, the lights turned on and the guards started to shout. They were caught. Haruka-sama took her hands and bolted as fast as he could. She hiked up her kimono as high as possible, trying to keep up with the man’s speed, but being locked up in the shop for years kind of lowered her endurance in running.
“Risuka turned around, looking at the men behind her. They carried large rifles and some of the other men had huge barking dogs. ‘Haruka-sama, stop, if the two of us stop now, we can still make it out alive.’ She grasped his arm as she tried to stop him, but he merely gritted his teeth and pushed forward.
“During that night, the silent starless night, there were two loud gunshots. Haruka-sama was shot through the shoulder blades and made it out alive. As for Risuka, he carried her lifeless body for as far as he could until they were in a meadow filled with daisies. She was shot through the heart and didn’t have the chance to live at all. Risuka didn’t have that chance to see the sunlight ever again.”
A sigh sounded as a girl closed the book. Her head sunk down into her pillow and her dark brown eyes stared at the beige ceiling of her room. She connected the little bumps on the ceiling and created a picture. First was a bunny, then it was a dragon breathing fire onto the bunny.
“KOHANA! IT’S NEARLY TWO A.M. GO TO SLEEP!! YOU STILL HAVE CLASS TOMORROW!”
“ALRIGHT! I’M SLEEPING ALREADY. STOP WAKING ME UP.” She suddenly sat up and napped at the yelling voice that came from downstairs. The brown-eyed girl scoffed and threw her comforter over her, sighing another deep sigh. She closed her eyes, and for a moment, she saw the face of Haruka-sama. Even though he was merely a story-book character, she could picture his face clearly.
It was weird.
The morning rolled around with her Hello Kitty alarm going off, singing, “Good Morning! Good Morning!” Her hand stretched out and searched for the annoying clock. “Ugh…” Her head stuck out just a little and slammed on the alarm. It was finally silent. Kohana laid in the bed for just a few minutes longer and then finally rolled out. Her hair stuck up in all directions. She sluggishly got ready for the day, dressed in her high school uniform with the skirt that was just a bit too short and the socks that were just a bit too big. She tied her hair up in a pony tail with her bangs hanging at the front and at the sides. Her ears were pierced with peek-a-boo earrings and her lips were painted with red lipstick. Kohana’s eyes were outlined with eyeliner and colored with light blue eye shadow. She looked like those typical modern Tokyo high school girls.
“KOHANA. ARE YOU READY YET?!”
She growled. “YES!” Kohana grabbed her backpack and made her way out of the room. Downstairs was her maid, cleaning up the kitchen, and the chauffer waiting at the door for the girl. “Here’s your lunch, Miss.” The maid quickly handed the girl a brown paper bag as she made her way towards the front of the house.
Kohana was the daughter of a wealthy family. They lived in a traditional house that was fenced around the parameters. Her mother and father were the head of a kabuki theatre. Thus, Kohana grew up dancing on stage. Originally, women were banned from dancing on the kabuki stages, but things changed as the time went by. “I’m leaving now!” She didn’t wait for an answer, not that there was ever once, and left for school.
Her chauffer followed after her and opened the door. It was probably a fifteen minute drive before they pulled up to the entrance of the school. She sighed, “Don’t worry about picking me up today, I’ll walk home. My friends and I are going out.” She left and stepped out of the car. People turned to look at her and a few came up, saying how much they enjoyed her show last weekend. “Thank you.” She smiled faintly before pushing her way into the school.
“Kohana,” a girl looking almost exactly like the girl, waved. She smiled and made her way towards her friend. “How was the dance? Sorry I couldn’t make it.”
“Don’t worry about it. Just the same as usual, Matsu.” The two girls made their way to the classroom. The boys and girls were scattered around the room, chatting away about their weekend. Everyone greeted Kohana as she walked through the door and as usual, she gave them a smile. She was rather popular in the class, but sometimes she thought that it was only because of her family and the money her family owned.
Class started soon after the two girls entered the room.
“Okay. Settle down, kids. We have a new student today.” The classroom’s teacher announced as he wrote the transfer student’s name. “Kei Haruka” “He’s from another part of Tokyo, and he just moved into the area yesterday. Haruka-kun? Please join us.” The teacher slid the door opened and smiled at the boy before he entered the room.
Kohana glanced over at the new student for a moment and then glanced out of the window. Her eyes widened when she realized what she saw and did a double take. She blinked several times.
The new student had honey-colored hair and light blue eyes with the light brown skin. That description of him automatically clicked in her mind and connected with the character in the Akuma’s Love Song book. Her brown eyes glanced at the blackboard – he had the same name as well. Her nostrils flared.
‘That’s not right. He’s an imaginary character, this kid is real life. They’re completely different people. It’s a coincidence.’ Once Kohana was able to convince herself that, she glanced out the window once more, and noticed that across the building and in the other room, sat her boyfriend. He was glancing out the window as well. She smiled and waved to him and he did the same before a chalk piece flicked him in the head. He sulked just a little as he was yelled at and the other students laughed.
“KOHANA.”
“YES?” She sat up, and her head whipped towards the front of the room.
“That’s her. Your seat is right behind her.”
The girl smiled just a little and waved to the new student. He gave her a charming smile before heading his way to the back.
During the lunch hour, the girls were crowded around the new student, yammering on about how it was so awesome to have a foreigner in their school. Kohana sighed and chewed on her Tamago sushi. Her best friend, Matsu, was in another room with her boyfriend. “You know, I can’t enjoy a nice lunch if you guys are squealing like little pigs. It’s not a big deal that he’s not from Japan.” She glanced back at the girls who suddenly stopped talking.
“Y-yeah, you’re right, Kohana-chan.” One of the girls laughed quietly before making her way towards her desk as did the other girls.
She sighed and faced forward once more, chewing on her lunch once again.
“Thank you for that save.” The new student spoke up and Kohana shrugged. “People are always so interested in me because I don’t look like the rest of them, but I was born in Japan, you know?”
“Let me guess, you lived in France for the most of your life until a few days ago when your father brought you back to study in Japan?” Kohana glanced back as the new student gave her a blank stare. It was as if she was telekinetic.
“How do you know that?”
“Really?” She raised an eyebrow, frowning. “I… I guess it was a lucky guess…” Kohana frowned at herself as she turned away in confusion. “Coincidence?”
The day ended without any other kinks along the road. Tatsuya, Kohana’s boyfriend, was waiting outside near the gates as she made her way towards him. “HI!” She smiled, and wrapped her arms around him, “How was your day?” She reached and touched his forehead. There was a red mark from where the chalk hit.
“It was alright. Nothing eventful.” He kissed the top of her head and wrapped his arm around her shoulders, pulling her close to him. “You have to go to practice now?”
“Yeah.”
“I’ll go with you.”
“Okay.” She giggled just a little, and held onto him a little tighter as the two of them walked towards her dance studio.
Walking behind the couple was the new student. He was surrounded by girls asking him numerous of questions that he’s heard all throughout his life. His blue eyes though, were focused on the girl in front of him. The girl that was walking alone with her boyfriend. There was a faint frown on his face, but when one of the girls tugged on his arm, he turned his attention towards his fans. “Hm?” He put on his most charming smile just to woo them.
For Kohana, there was practice almost every single day. Because her family runs the kabuki theatre, she was required to dance just about every single weekend, unless there was a school event. Among the student body, she was popular. But, because of the obligations, she barely had time to hang out with her friends. Tatsuya, for most of the days, followed her to dance practice. He enjoyed watching her stumble around in the sloppy outfit that she had on and get yelled at by her instructor.
There was always something afterwards for her to vent.
“I hate this.” She gritted her teeth as her fan fell onto the wooden floor. She kicked the gold painted fan across the studio and folded her arms across her chest. Her instructor told her that she couldn’t leave the studio until she perfected the dance move. But she was already through with everything.
Tatsuya laughed quietly, sitting down against the mirror. “Take a breather. I’m sure you’ll do fine if you just relax a little.” It was the same every time.
“I guess you’re right.” She sighed, tucking her hair behind her ears and made her way towards her boyfriend. Tatsuya pulled at her arm, and she fell right between his legs. “Ah, don’t touch me. I’m sweaty.” Kohana blushed, turning away from him.
“I think you’re beautiful.” He smiled just a little. He turned her head towards him and gave her a passionate kiss. She instantly moaned as he drove his tongue into her mouth to taste her once more. He traced his hand over the swell of her breast as she loudly sighed, arching her body to his touch. Tatsuya sucked at her lower lip and placed kisses and licks and nips on her neck as his hand moved to sneak under the loose kimono and into her panties. Kohana stiffened just a little, but she didn’t object at all as he dipped his finger inside of her.
“Ah… Tatsuya.” She whispered lustfully as she felt him hardening behind her as she adjusted slightly to accommodate his gentle thrusts.
He moved himself in front of her and removed her clothing that was getting in his way. The bra was quickly unclasped and the panties were ripped off. Kohana did the same, stripping her boyfriend away from his clothing. He pushed her down onto the floor and climbed over her, taking in the image of his girlfriend. Even after all this time, she was still nervous. Tatsuya licked his lips and looked into her eyes. She turned away, but he could still see her blush as he began to slide his hand between her legs, sending chills up her spine. He pressed her thighs apart to reveal the folds that his her secret place.
His fingers found their way into her once more, pumping faster this time. Kohana moaned, bending her knees and lifting her hips to his thrusts. Quickly, Tatsuya pulled his fingers out and grasped her hips, replacing the lost digits with his tongue. He slipped it out and slid up her slit to tease and circle the sensitive nub. He repeated his actions as she began to beg for more, grabbing onto his hair. Her folds quickly became slick with desire from his actions.
“Tatsuya… please,” She whined as she pulled him up by his hair.
“Please what?” He grinned, rubbing his cock against her opening, but never pushing it in.
“I want you…”
“You have me.” Tatsuya pushed the head of his dick into her pussy gently but pulled out, teasing her just a little bit more.
“God! I want you to fuck me!” She yelled out at the top of her lungs, and gasped as he slammed himself into her.
He captured her lips in another hungry kiss as he buried himself deep inside of her. She cried out as he started to move swiftly inside her. Her hands traced over the hard muscles on his back as he positioned himself, thrusting in and out. He groaned as her pussy squeezed his cock. Tatsuya pulled out and rammed back into her, locking the way she screamed out his name.
“You’re so fucking tight, babe.” He panted, reveling the feeling of her body. His thrusting hips pushed his hard cock deeper. Their rhythm steadied as they slid against each other, forgetting the fact that they were still in the studio. Her pussy started squeezing him hard, trying to milk him as she reached her climax.
“TATSUYA!” She screamed out his name as she came.
It didn’t bother him one bit, but as a matter of fact, it was exactly what he wanted and with that one last push, he came in her.
They dressed quickly as they quickly regained their normal breathing rate.
“I’m gonna go home to study now.” Tatsuya picked up his backpack and made his way toward the exit. Kohana followed wrapping the obi around her kimono and kissed him on the lips.
“I’m going to stay here a little bit longer.” Kohana smiled just a bit, “study hard, okay? I love you.”
Tatsuya returned the kiss and smiled, “I know you do.” He made his way out of the door and left.
She sighed, watching his figure disappear and turned towards the mirror. There was that odd pang deep in her chest, knowing that she’s never heard and ‘I love you’ from Tetsuya after almost ten months of dating. Kohana leaned back against the door and glanced down at her feet. She could feel the tears welting in her eyes.
It always hurt.

Well, this is the second chapter!
Just for your information:
Kabuki is the highly stylized classical Japanese dance-drama. Kabuki theatre is known for the stylization of its drama and for the elaborate make-up worn by some of its performers.
That definition was found on Wikipedia, by the way. I wouldn’t know how to describe it. But you should google it if you’re interested.
Anyway please read and review!! Thanks.
