Black Ribbon
Black Ribbon
Inside my mind, everything is dark
Clouds hide my thoughts
I don’t see the sun or the moon
All I see is strands of black ribbon
Intertwined together, holding my mind hostage
Letting nothing in or out
It’s keeping me here, holding my attention
Not letting me move or think
I’ve lost my free will
My freedom of speech
Nothing I say is in my own words
It’s the owner of the black ribbon
Speaking through me, lying through me
Using my mind for themselves
Help me escape this hell
Help me regain my freedom
Help me save my mind
Or I lose it forever to the black ribbon.
