Chapter 2: Prisoner
******Chapter 2: Prisoner******
Drake started to awaken, his head pounded, his arms burnt with a pain, he felt disorientated. Forcing his eyes open he found himself in some sort of basement, shelves and jars covered the walls and a naked bulb seemed to be the only light. His arm’s where bound together above his head, a drip was attached to his arm, where a thick red liquid slow forced its way into his body.
‘It’s dead mans blood.’
Drake felt his blood run cold, dead man’s blood; only a hunter would use that, making a vampire weak and helpless. Turning his head, he watched as figure descended the stairs moving with a gracefulness that only came from being a vampire. When he saw the man, he felt his mouth gap open; and a breathless whisper escaped his lips.
‘Dhampir.’
For a second the man seemed to pause, but slowly he moved forward into Drake’s sight sending a cold sweat to cover Drake’s skin. It was the man from the club!
‘I’m surprised you realised what I am, most vampires can’t tell.’
The man was about a foot away from Drake, a slow smile played upon his handsome face, long elegant figures curled around Drake’s chin.
‘You are not what I expected little one.’
Drake felt icy fear run through his veins, the hunter had been sent after him, he had to find out who had sent him. Drake opened his mouth to speak but stopped as the hunter ran his thumb over his bottom lip, eyes transfixed on Drake’s face.
‘You seem so young...When where you turned?’
Drake tried to pull away from the grip but the fingers tightened painfully into the delicate flesh causing a small whimper to catch at the back of Drake’s throat.
’16.’
Bow tried to hide his shock; shit the boy had just been a kid, Bow let his eyes travel over the vampire. His long black and red hair fell into large chocolate brown eyes, his face held the gentle structure of a child in it. Bow felt bile rise in his throat, he knew that some vampires would prey on children but this was the first time he’d seen one changed into a monster.
Bow turned as started to walk away from the sickening sight, a child turned into a killer, ‘wait.’
Bow turned and was held by those chocolate brown eyes that seem to beg for something untouchable.
'Please don't leave me here! I didn't do anything wrong!'
Bow laughed, 'they why was I asked to capture you little one?'
Drake closed his eyes, memories flashed like lightning in his mind. The crack of a whip, the screams of terror, flesh being torn from bone and the blood. Forcing his eyes open Drake called out again, 'At least tell me you're name?'
He saw the other man pause before slowly turning around again to face him, Drake could see nothing in the cold black eyes that watched him from the darkness.
'It's Bow.'
Drake noticed that Bow opened his mouth as if he wanted to speak to him, but the hunter just turned away again.
‘Who sent you? Why are you doing this? Please-I’ve never hurt anyone!’
Bow laughed and walked back to the boy, closing all space between them, he felt the vampire shudder at his mere touch. He reached up and tangled his fingers into the vampire’s hair pulling his head back and exposing his pale neck.
‘Never hurt anyone? You’re a monster. You prey’s on humans, don’t lie to me.’
Drake felt his pulse jump as Bow’s tongue flicked across the pulse in his neck. Closing his eye’s Drake could feel the hunger rolled off of the man, he felt teeth gently graze his throat a whimper of need escaped his throat before he could cut it off. He felt Bow's laughter slide over his skin, ‘I can taste you’re desire for me, vampire.’
Drake felt the blood run to his face and he tried to turn away, but the hand in his hair just jerked his head back to face the other. Drake saw something flicker in the man’s eyes, a dark, raw passion that was clawing to be free.
‘Please let me go,’ Drake hated hearing the quiver that emitted from his throat, ‘I’ll do anything.’
‘Anything?’
Drake didn’t even pause for a second before, ‘anything,’ rushed from his lips.
Bow stared deeply into the chocolate brown orbs, the desperation in the kids voice was real, as was the smell of terror and the tremble that gently passed through the boy’s body. Bow placed a cruel smile on his lips; it had been a long time since he was able to play with his catch.
Reaching up he undid the chains around the vampire’s wrist, let the boy drop to the floor, he reached out and hauled the boy to his feet.
‘Let’s see what you’ll really do for me.’
Bow half dragged the boy up the darkened staircase and into the main house; they passed through the kitchen and into a small bedroom. With a violent shove Bow pushed the boy onto the bed before sitting on a cold wooden stool.
‘Strip.’
Drake stared into the Bow’s eyes; he couldn’t have understood what Bow said, he must of misheard.
‘Strip.’
The word was as cold as ice and Drake just stared at Bow, shame flushed his face.
‘Do it now or I’ll strip you myself.’
Drake swallowed hard and slowly began to undo his buttons; he knew what the hunter would see. Slowly the shirt slipped off of his shoulders and pool by his feet, he heard the almost silent gasp from Bow.
Before Bow could stop himself he was stood behind the boy and his hand touched the cool bare skin. Scar's criss-crossed the vampires back, Bow traced one that ran from his right shoulder down to the small of the vampire's back.
'Are they from before...?'
'Some,' Drake hesitated, 'my master wished me 'broken' before I was turned.'
Bow felt a sharp pain deep within him, just what had happened to his boy? He wanted to just pick him up and hold him to his chest, to tell him that the monster could no longer get him but Bow returned to his seat, this boy was one of the monsters.
'How far down do they go?'
Drake didn't speak reaching the button on his black trousers and unclasped it, letting the dark material fall to the floor before turning to face the hunter. He watched as Bow's eye's widened in fascination before turning to shock and horror, Drake had seen that look many times before, but never had it hurt him so much as the look that reflected in those black endless eyes. For not one part of Drake's body did not bare a scar....
