Aaron was left seated in his folded up chair as he sighed and stared into his plastic beer cup. “About four or five.” Aaron said, he was now slurring his words now.

“No more,” his sister said, “If mom finds you arriving home drunk she will-Leo!” Karlie gasped, stopping mid sentence and getting off Daniel’s lap, running over to a large well tone guy with round cat ears and a massive tail. His hair was blond and up in a long pony tail, his eyes were big and green that shined in the pale moon light. He smiled weakly at Karlie and saw that he bared fangs in his smile. Aaron saw them talk for a bit, Karlie looked real happy to see this guy, but he didn’t show any emotion, just a sad look on his face it looked like he didn’t want to be here at all. Soon after, Karlie brought him over to the small group. “Look who showed up.” she smiled, sitting back on Daniel’s lap the new guy taking a seat next to them.
“Hi,” the guy waved weakly with a voice to match, but Aaron could tell that this guy had a powerful voice. “Who’s this?” the guy asked seeing Aaron, his voice now changed and it was stronger and much more disgusted.

“Oh, umm…” Karlie said, “Leo this is my younger brother, Aaron. Aaron, this is Leon Stone, but we just call him Leo.”

“Please to meet you.” Aaron waved with a tired drunken look on his face.

Leo only smiled for a second before turning his head away from him. “Oh, Leo stop it.” Karlie said, slapping Leo on the arm. “Don’t be so mean; he hasn’t done anything wrong to you.”

“They are all the same.” Leo spat. “Why is he even here? This is a private party, no humans allowed.”

“Yeah, don’t take every problem you have with humans out on Aaron,” Daniel said, defending his sister’s brother and friend. “Besides, he kind of fallowed me and Karlie here. But don’t worry, we’ll be leaving soon.”

“Good. See you guys later.” and with that Leo got up and left, flicking his tail in rage as he did.

“Don’t mind Leo,” Karlie said, placing a hand on her brother’s forearm. “He’s just not a people person.” she smiled so that Aaron had nothing to worry about.

“What’s his beef anyways with me?”

“Nothing,” she replied, “come on Daniel let’s dance.” and she grabbed her boyfriend by the wrist and lead him on the dance floor. Leaving her brother once again alone with his beer.

Though Aaron was alone, he could easily see his sister grinding her hips with Daniel and having a real good time, but as he watched, he couldn’t shake Leo out of his mind. Once Aaron had something in his mind, he could get it out unless he talked about it so he got up and went to find the stubborn mule Leon. “My beef?” Leo scuffed and stomped over to Aaron, grabbing him by the caller and brought him closer to his face. “I don’t have a beef with you. It’s the whole fucking world I have a beef with.” he spat and he pulled Aaron over to the edge of the woods and threw him into the trees and crashed into a thorn bush. “Now get the fuck out of here!” Leo yelled and went back to watching the party.

“Aw, fuck!” Aaron grunted as he struggled out of the bush and dusted himself off, picking out the thorns from his skin and then walking in the opposite direction of the party and going deeper into the woods. Aaron staggered as he walked farther into the woods, bumping into trees and falling down to the ground. With the music slowly fading away, the air got colder and his senses started to kick in again. He relised that he was no where near the clearing where the dance was or near Daniel’s car was parked and started to get scared.

“What the fuck was that?” he gasped, quickly turning around in circles as he heard a low growl though the thicket of the trees and bushes that sounded. There was another growl, this time louder and that made Aaron bolt. Running though the trees in panic as he looked around thinking and wondering where the sounds were coming from. He finally ran out of breath and stopped to lean up against an old rotten tree, staring around he relised that he was more lost then he was ever was and the air was so cold that he could see his breath. There was another growl and he stared into the darkness of the woods where his breath caught in throat as he saw two blood shot red eyes pierce though the darkness. Aaron stood frozen to the spot till the eyes started to move toward him and took of running again but he lost his balance and slipped and fell, that’s when he had discovered that he had ran onto a frozen lake.

Aaron had stopped in the middle of the lake and found that the red eyes where now gone, but now there was a shadowy figure standing on the edge of the lake staring right at him. The first thing that ran though Aaron’s mind was to high tail it out of there, and that was what he did. But when he stood up the ice under him was too fragile and not within two steps, he fell though and into the freezing water below. Aaron had no time to react and had taken a breath full of the icy liquid and started to drown. Down in dark water, he lost all direction and could not tell which way was up and which way was down. He started to panic and found his breath was started to run out and that his vision was getting blurry. He finally found the surface, the hole that he fell though was not there though and he started to panic more and he his vision went out completely and he blacked out.

Aaron soon came too and found he was no longer under the icy water but back on the dry land above, cold and wet but his vision was still blurry. He looked up with a heavy breath as he looked up into the night sky which had no cloud in the sky and a full moon; he smiled at how he was still alive. He then changed his gaze to a shadow figure standing over him and he started to panic again, thinking that he had died and he was in Hell as he heard the same growl he had heard before falling though the ice. Aaron opened his mouth to say something but he then blackout again from the lack of oxygen and the shock of the shadow that stood over him.
