The Girl
Tak walked up his next door neighbour's drive, stopping at the doorstep and gazing up at the bell. He set down the gift and pressed it, not hesitating a second before jumping over the fence and entering his house.
The neighbour opened the door, confused at first, looking around to see who had rang, and then smiling in realisation as she saw a pretty bag at her feet with 'For You' on it in big bright letters. She picked it up and read the label.
'Dear Rachael. Thank you for being friendly to me. Thank you for not being like the others. Tak.'
She sighed happily and looked back up at the sky. The clouds were clearing, revealing the beautiful dark blue night.
Tak leant against his door, sinking down and putting his head in his hands, a weak smile crossing his lips.
"Rachael..." He sighed.
