Holden bounced from one foot to the next he was back in the dorms, Vincent sitting at his desk doing a project on elemental magic. The blond slowly made his way over to the burnet intent on mischief, but was dashed of such thoughts.
“Don’t even think about it.” The doll frowned He wasn’t aloud to do anything fun when Vincent was busy. The blond pouted before jumping Vincent, sending both clashing to the ground in a heap, Vincent eye twitched. “Holden-”
“Can I go out side, I’m really bored please?” The blond gave Vincent the puppy dog look sadly it didn’t work on the older man.
“No.”
“Why not I’ll be good.”
“Because last time I left you alone you came back damaged by someone, which you still have yet to tell me who it was.” Vincent pushed his doll off him. “ And don’t look at me like that, you should already know it doesn’t work.” Holden pouted.
“But Master, it’s really boring watching you write a paper. I’m suppose to be human shouldn’t I interact with them?” The blond grabbed Vincent dress shirt tugging at the white material, a pleading look claming his features.
“You are not human.”
“I’m enrolled as one.” Vincent turned grabbing the dolls hand and pulled Holden close making eye contacted. Holden’s eyes widened. ‘Oh so he’s in one of his moods’
“You. Are. Not. Human.” Vincent spaced out the words calmly voicing his dislike for humans in general. Holden opened his mouth then closed it, blinking his golden eyes, he tugged at Vincent hand holding his wrist, making it so Vincent leaned down.
“Vincent why do you dislike humans?” Holden cocked his head to the side, obviously baffled at his question.
“They are not to be trusted.”
“So are magic’s, demons, and other worldly beans, but I don’t see you voicing out your dislike for them.” The blond leaned in closer curiosity killed that cat but Holden figured since he wasn’t a cat it didn’t imply to him. Vincent eyes narrowed, he would never glair at Holden like he did to others, but sometimes his doll could irritate him to no ends.
“Drop it.” Holden narrowed his eyes.
“Fine but first you have to tell me who hurt you the other day. Then I’ll tell you.” Holden new if Vincent found out who had injured him then Jordan wouldn’t live to see another day the doll averted his gaze.
“I cant.”
“Then neither can I.” Vincent stood to his full height, and released Holden’s hand, then smoothed down his dress shirt. Holden stared at the ground hand dangled at his side. Vincent turned picking up the chair from the ground, and sat down turning back to his work.
“Holden?” The blond turned looking to the back of Vincent’s head.
“Yes Master?”
“I’ll find out which human attacked you. And when I do they wont see the light of day ever again.” Holden’s eyes widened he didn’t know if he should be happy that his master cared for him or be scared over how possessive he was being. But one question that rung through the doll’s head was how did Vincent know Jordan was human? The doll frowned then went to the only bed in the room, and crashed to the mattress. Might as well sleep if he wasn’t aloud to go outside. Holden yawned not noticing how sleepy he was tell now.
“Night Vincent.” The doll murmured into the bed sheets already half a sleep. Vincent turned and looked at his doll. The toy was smart never slipped up, Holden was like him only the opposite, Vincent smiled lightly as Holden curled up trying to keep warm, it seamed the doll had come accustom to having Vincent warmth next to him.
“Good night little one.” Vincent turned back to his work, intent on finishing.

Small feet ran down the hallway, fire flicking at the small child’s skin. Brown hair whipped around the boys face as green eyes flickered this way and that. The boy could hear screaming coming from down stair, loud and filled with terror. He rushed over to the stairs, flying down them to the livingroom; he could see the outline of a girl, and a man leaning over her. The girl turned her frightened gaze to his green meeting green, the girl gasped, blood dripping from the side of her mouth. She reached her hand out, yelling tears falling from her eyes. As blood pooled around the girl, her screams deafening.

Golden eyes opened looking at the wall, tears streamed down Holden’s face, the small doll sat up whipping at his face, trying desperately to get ride of his tears, he looked down at his master it was rare for his master to be asleep when he awoke, The toy tried to remember why he was crying, but changed his mind when flashes of blood splattered walls and fire entered his mind as well as gut wrenching screams. Holden slid from the bed and stood looking to the clock he noted it was only four thirty. No wonder Vincent wasn’t up. The toy made his way over to the dresser and pulled out the uniform he had to wear then crossed the bed and went to the bathroom. Skipping out Holden smiled at his sleeping master. Vincent looked relaxed when he was asleep. Not wanting to wake him Holden headed to the door and left, closing the door softly.
Holden walked around the school halls happily humming. He loved walking around places when there was no one around he felt at peace, he guessed he got that from Vincent. His master always preferred to be alone, and at times when things where quite like it was now, Holden had to agree with his master.
“Hey freak, though I would find you wondering around.” And just like that the mood shattered Holden turned looking down the hall there was Jordan, his nose bandaged and dual gray eyes glairing at him. ‘Maybe it wasn’t such a good idea to wonder around the halls alone’ and as Jordan lunged for him Holden confirmed that though.

KAAAAA-BAM!! The explosion tossed Lucky from her bed to land across the room. Dazed and confused Lucky looked where the used to be a wall dividing her room from her roommate’s. Standing there was a giant black stallion. The creature was pawing at the ground. It’s blue fire-like mane raising the temperate in the room by ten of degrees. Eyes as red as hot coals glared at lucky then it crashed it’s way through the wall and out into the night.

The little black dog, Fernando. Started to bark up a storm and chased the demonic horse into the night. It’s high pitched yips cutting thorough the chilly air until out of earshot.

“ Hey are you alright?” She said after she rushed to her unconscious roommates side. “Caterina? Kitty?” Caterina began coughing and sputtering. Glasses askew she said “ Could you catch that horse for me, please?”. A pause.

“ WHAT!”

“ No mortal can lay eyes on it…the students cover will be blown” explained Caterina.” I’ll see it I can find something to track it”
With a grunt Kitty staggered onto her feet. She hobbled over to a book shelf and tossed Lucky a map. With a grumble about stupid roommates and their midnight summoning Lucky jumped out of the hole in the wall and disappeared into the night.
~xXx~
Lucky was cold, hungry, peeved and had been chasing the demonic horse for hours. She managed to catch Fernando around the central courtyard Where he‘d cornered the stallion. That thing could run fast! She didn’t have a chance to start a dismissal summoning before it sprang off and melted into the night.

The map was an easy tool to use, it was just a regular map but it had a red blinking dot where the stallion was supposed to be. Between the map and Fernando’s limited sent skills they where able to catch up several times. Each time it would melt into the night.
The pair silently walked along the school paths. The sun was starting to rise and Lucky was still in her nightgown and fluffy bunny slippers “ I think the loon summoned a shadow stallion, that’s why we can’t catch it.” yawned Lucky. “ What do you think Fern?” “I think your right dearie. What time is it?”

“ About ten minutes, quarter to five…THERE IT IS!!” In the predawn light they saw the stallion again.

“We should be able to catch it. It’s powers weaken during the day” said Fernando as they ran after the black feral beast. “ Try the beast master’s lasso spell” called Fernando as Lucky tried to corner the stallion.

“ That will make it a pet! I want it gone!” argued the girl.” JUST DO IT GIRL!” barked the doggy. Chanting in a lost language Lucky swirled her hands around her head. A rope of green, sparkly mist started to form. Pointing at the horse the mist flew and wrapped around the horse’s neck and head forming a green chain bridle.
“Well done” sighed Fernando while Lucky picked him up “approach it and remember to be polite.”
“ WHO DARES TO TAME ME!”
“ I can hear him Fern.” whispered. ”Why is that?”
“ You’ve tamed him. He’s a familiar now just like me. You’re the owner that’s why you can hear him” explained Fernando

“ I DEMAND TO KNOW!! WHO DARES TO TAME ME!” screamed the stallion. “ Mortals call me Lucky.”

“ You are LUCKY I haven’t TRAMPLED you” The stallion tried to toss the bridle off his head. “ I guess it’s no use. I submit” And the stallion bent his head and bowed on his knees.” I call you Mistress. What do you name me, Oh young but great?”

“I hereby name you Shadow King. I name you for your ability to disappear into the night.” With a giggle she continued ”We‘ll call you Shadow for short.”
~xXx~
Shadow was clip clopping along the school pathways with Lucky perched on his back, her legs hardly reaching across his enormous back. Lucky had to ask Shadow to lay down so she could climb onto a rock and jump on. Standing at his full height Shadow was probably about 8 or 9 feet at the shoulder. Fernando was dosing in Lucky’s lap.
Suddenly they all hear a sound. “There must be a battle somewhere. I like battles. Let‘s go.” and with that he galloped off towards the school.

I was having a lot of fun. Pounding the pip-squeak. Payment for the nose plus interest. There was a loud crash. Turning around he saw something that made the colour drain from his face and his blood run cold. Standing there, taking up the whole hallway was the biggest, meanest thing he ever laid eyes on. The school lights had yet to be turned on. Ghostly red eyes and flaming blue hair labeled this thing from hell. It began to walk towards him. Each step cracking the floor tile.
And with a girly scream Jordan ran off into the predawn light. A tiny unnoticed figure jumped off the demon’s back.

“ Good job Shadow! That was awesome!“ a pause and a sniff.“ Ewwww what’s that smell?”

“Urine” said Fernando and Shadow in unison. Everybody laughed until they noticed a small unmoving figure.
