Lucian's True Desire
Chapter One
“Lucian’s True Desire”
Why is the genetic blood line to the fallen angels so strong? Why are the fallen angels the ones who have to be the strongest out of the demonic world?
The answer is plain and simple as they desire to be. They are a race that has fallen from the skies because the lord of heaven rejected them. Their goal is to define a new breed on earth and ensure the safety of the blood-line. So one day in the future when the skies of heaven begin to fall and the gates of heaven open to the other side, they can take back what was stolen from them all the centuries of being on earth: honor.
After centuries of having to rebuild the blood line to its full potential, only two concentrated young, but wise man served through all the wars and blood shed with a dream of making their goal reality.
It was hard times throughout the night after leaving the woman in a pile of black ashes. Angelis tossed and turned on the forest floor. Sweat came from his fearful dreams he could not escape from . It was like the ghost haired woman trapped him in a harsh reality dream world.
Angelis found himself in a log cabin, having this woman, before she was tainted, serve him his breakfast. She had beautiful red hair like amber. Her forest green eyes let her complexion of freckles stand out to their full beauty. The smile she wore was as warm as the sun and just as innocent as a child. Angelis was truly happy with his soon to be married life. When he was about to eat his breakfast, a haggy voice began to speak to him. He looked up to what he thought to be his blushing bride to be, but instead saw the ghostly monster he had to burn at the stake.
Angelis begins to shout in his sleep, waking Lucian from his dreams. Lucian sighs as he rolls over towards Angelis, lands beside him, and then begins to smack him to bring him out from his cruel nightmare. Angelis wakes up with sweat running down his face and tears in his eyes. He awoke more nervous than he ever felt in all his life of being a chosen leader. Breathing heavy, he shakes his head of his fears and his dream being reality.
“ANGELIS, get a hold of yourself!” Lucian cries out to Angelis to wake up.
Angelis blinks a few times before realizing where his reality truly was. He sits up leaning his back up against a tree while smearing the sweat from his face with his arm. He gazes up towards his friend, Lucian, with a sigh of relief.
“You look nervous, Angelis! Who was haunting your dreams?” Lucian said a little amused, but with more concern.
Angelis looks down at his shaky hands while taking a deep breath.
“Our eerie woman!” Angelis admits with sigh of not wanting to talk about this subject for very long.
“Angelis, I noticed some kind of connection between the woman and you! What relations did you have with her?” Lucian began to talk to his young partner like he did when he was a young boy all over again.
Angelis, for years, has kept his personal relationship with his blushing bride a secret from the clan. He felt if anyone of the clan’s leaders or members would to find out about their relationship with his woman, the clan would judge them both and one of them or both would pay for the crime of dates one another. What Angelis knew was he rescued this girl from termination at birth.
The foremost rule within the clan states:
“The clan’s members especially if the member is female can be mates with others within the clan if they have been approved by an elder. It maybe forbidden if the reason the female side of genetics were unmanageable and the mother would be mentally unstable in civilization.”
If there was anyone Angelis could tell, he always would come to his partner with in the clan, Lucian, with a problem. Lucian was like a father figure that Angelis never had. He looked after Angelis when his mother had pasted away centuries ago. So Angelis gave into his partners requests and told him about his personal relationship with the woman.
“Her name was Ellania; she was my bride to be! I know in the clan is it is forbidden to be married to one another. I thought things would work out eventually in the future, but she couldn’t handle her immortal nature!” Angelis told Lucian everything that he haqd bottled up inside for so long.
“There is a reason for the rules within the clan. First, we fear the blending of the species especially with the problem with females. Females were always untrustworthy for the reason of the past generation experiences their metal stability. It was the need for the whole species to survive because of our main goal in life!” Lucian tried to explain things to his friend about the clan rules.
Angelis nods his head with understanding of the rules he had followed all the years of being a clan leader.
The sun’s rays were coming through the trees as a sign of dawn approaching in the sky. Outside the forest was a meadow which leads to the rest of the country. The sounds of horse calls and other people were heard in Lucian’s ears in the direction of the meadow. Without even thinking, Lucian gets up from his sitting position and walks to view the situation from the bushes at the edge of the forest. In the clearing of the meadow was a group of nobles returning from a visit to a far away place. In the very front of the group was none other than his rival in life, Lord Von of Elaya. At his side was a beautiful woman unlike he had ever seen before. She had flaming strawberry blond hair, eyes the color of the moon, and a womanly figure he desired to hold his own body against.
Lucian had never taken any interest in women for many personal reasons. He told everyone the reason was the rules of the clan and he found women dumb, but the real reason was he just never found time or the right woman to have interest.
He watches his beauty ride along side his rival on a smoky gray appaloosa mare. Her strawberry blond hair flew gracefully in the wind behind her while smiling and giggling about seeing her homeland again.
“My lord, are you not happy to be home?” Enria asked politely to her lord.
Lord Von chuckles in delight of hearing his mistress’s question. He turns his head to meet her set of moon colored eyes.
“Yes, Enria. I am surely glad to be back in my homeland. As people say: Home sweet home.” Von replied with delight.
Enria’s smile grew even wider and began to laugh like a sweet little child. She was laughing so hard, tears of joy came from her eyes.
“That is so true, my lord!” Enia said with screaming joy across her face.
The group of nobles were riding off in the opposite direction of the forest. Lucian wanted to have a small conversation with her; just the two of them. She was riding away off to the capital where he wouldn’t be able to find her so easily. In any case, he knew he was going to need so help on a distraction with the plan he was trying to formulate.
He wonders back into the forest, seeing Angelis peacefully asleep under the same tree as last time. Lucian kicks the bottom of Angelis’s foot; moving it from where it was. Groaning, Angelis opens his eyes, turning to look at him with a dangerous glare.
“What do you want?” Angelis questioned.
“How do you feel about robbing some nobles?” Lucian replied with another question.
“Not at this hour of the day!” Angelis groaned with unpleased with the answer he received.
“Not even from the King himself?” Lucian said to his partner knowing the temptation was eareisable for him.
Angelis’s eyes open widely as he sits up against the tree. His frown turned upside down with an amusing chuckle.
“Show me the way!” Angelis smiles with excitement.
Lucian and Angelis sprint to the other side of the forest, jumping over tree roots and logs. They come to the other side, stopping on just the other side of the branches to the green bushes. Lucian has Angelis peer out in the distance to the nobles descending to the castle walls. Angelis looks upon the nobles to find at the lord’s side a woman of strawberry blond hair. Angelis knew who that woman was and every time she was around it meant trouble for the both of them. Angelis never told Lucian about that woman was after Angelis’s life for the most stupid reason of him flirting with her younger sister. Angelis glares at his partner in crime before looking back out in the distance.
“You FINALLY take an interest in women and you choose that WENCH!” Angelis exclaimed with disgust. “I think I’m going to be sick!”
“She is not a WENCH; she is fallen angel from the heavens!” Lucian said like he was beginning to show signs of him falling in love all over.
Angelis could not believe what was coming out of his partner’s mouth. Angelis knew this was not going to be good and he had to do something to make his partner see that this woman was no angel, but one of the devil’s workers instead.
“OK, I will go along with this only because I need the money!” Angelis stated.
Lucian chuckles with amusement with Angelis for a moment. Abruptly they both sprint out of the brush and catching up quickly to the objective. Come rushing a whirl of wind and dust from the road behind them, Angelis and Lucian come to a hastening stop in the middle of the road, startling the men on horseback.
Lord Von lets the dirt and dust settle before removing his arm from his eyes. The dust clears up before long, Von looks over to his right to his mistress, Enria, watching her dust herself off from the recent wind of dirt. Von laughs quietly toward her loud whispers of her cussing and swearing to herself.
The smell of lavender catches the lord’s senses while making him turn his head to two young men in front of the group on the road. The man to his left was a man he knew all to well with his long lockes of midnight black and silver hair and the piercing eyes a silver wolf. This man Lord Von knew for years ever since they were little.
Enria finished dusting herself off when she looked up in the distance to two men in the road. She did not know the handsome man on the left giving her a soft easy going feeling about him, but the man to the right made her blood boil in anger. She draws her bow from her saddle bags and stretches it tightly with an arrow.
Lord Von notices his royal mistress’s reaction in defense and her express was deadly to look at. He was aware when she meant business in killing the enemy, but she was never the first one to strike or put up her defenses without a good enough reasoning and he Anglecouldn’t find one this time. Enria was hot headed and was ready to rid the world of one more scum. Von was amused towards his hot little firecracker.
Angelis found himself amused as well, but for different reasons than the lord’s.
He remembers that woman haunting and hunting him down because of the reward bounty on his head and her need to feed her family of siblings. He realized she had never forgot that day when he embarrassed her in the middle of town square after making a small deal with him. He was to meet her at the crack of dawn in the forest where she would place ropes around his wrist and take him to the capital for the reward money, but he never showed up after she told the lord she had him. In the result, she paid for a hefty fine for a false statement when her family was already in debt with the king. When the lord found such a beautiful woman working under him and knew she had warrior skills so he took her in for a bodyguard for himself.
Angelis winks at Enria with an amusing smile. Enria grits her teeth while still holding her bow tightly.
“What’s the matter slayer? Have you got cold feet n our love, hate relationship?” Angelis commented with his nasty comment.
His comment sent Enria’s anger off the edge, making her shoot her arrow directly towards him. Angelis laughs and swings his warrior sword in the air just in time to cut the arrow in half.
“You, Bastard! Why don’t you just die?” Enria screamed with anger and frustration.
Angelis chuckles towards her snotty remark as he sprinted off towards her, knocked her off her horse and into the dirt. As Enria hit the ground, she stood up unsheathing one of her kantanas.
“Give me one good enough of a reason for me to let you live today, Angelis!” Enria demanded.
“Why do I need to give you a reason when my life is not even in your hands!” Angelis commented back to her.
Angelis rushed into a frontal assault with his cross handle sword towards Enria; making her have to block him horizontal with one of her family heirloom katanas. With her other katana, she swings the thing low enough to try to mange a hit in his internal organs. Angelis realized what she was doing and took a step back for his oppnite. The step he took back presented a better angle for him to attack her. He approached her snicky and quick before she could see what his next move was. He swept her off her feet with his foot; knocking her down into the ground. Enria rapidly looks up to nothing, but thin air. A strong arm grabs her from behind around her shoulders with a sword coming from the other side of her. Angelis grabbed an even tighter hold on her neck to let her know he was there. He moves close to her ear for him to speak to her.
“Whose life is in whose hands now, WENCH!” Angelis snared in her ear; making it echeo through out her mind.
Enria began to comprehend that she screwed up, not even her lord could stop him from giving the fate she just earned.
Lord Von was not longer amused with the end result of the battle when he stepped off his horse and began to step forward towards the two of them. He was then stopped by a sword himself. He looks up to the other man in the bandit group, Lucian.
“Where do you think you are going? You and I have something settle besides she is no longer in your reach. Our final duel will decide which hands her life will be in.” Lucian said making direct eye contact with the lord, making sure he understood what he was saying.
“I don’t think you know who you are messing with!” Von said while pulling out his royal sword from his sheath; being ready to fight with his rival in life.
For moments on end, Lucian and Von stood in their fighting stances just watching each other, and trying to read their oppnite with body motion. Angelis held a tight hold of the lord’s bodyguard, Enria, as they both watch their team members stare at each other. Enria and Angelis wondered what they were waiting for and what was taking so long for them to attack each other. Angelis moves his lips close to Enria’s ear and whispers more of his thoughts to her.
“Well wench, who do you think is going to make it out alive today?” Angelis asked her with curiosity to what she was thinking on the matter at hand.
Enria blinks a few times before answering, “I know my lord is very skilled the arts of the sword of combat. I have not clue on what your friend is capable of! For all I know at the moment is that the battle may come into a conclusion of a draw!”
Angelis was surprised with the responance she gave him. It was so honest and true. Usually she was tease him for the answer, but was she actually being courteous to him? No she wouldn’t be polite to him, she has no reason to, Angelis thought himself for moment.
Angelis asked her, “Why are you being so courteous to me all of a sudden, usually you hate my guts!”
Enria glances into his eyes and replies, “Usually I don’t have sword’s edge grazing the surface of my neck! She said smile carefully; making sure she worded her sentence right.
Angelis smiles back at her and comments, “You’re smarter than you look, wench!”
“Likewise!” Enria answered.
When their conversation ended, they noticed both their team members have already engaged in battle. Lucian was in new fight stance with his legs far apart with his sword pointed to the ground in a slope like angle with his right hand on the handle and his left almost at the tip of his sword. He looked Von straight in the eyes; watching him get more flustered by the minute. Lucian’s plan along was to get the lord so enraged with Lucian making him look like a fool that he wouldn’t think clearly in his next battle move. As Lucian’s thoughts to be right, a fierce flame was engulfed in the lord’s eyes. Before Angelis and Enria knew it, Lucian had Lord Von on the ground with one knee up while holding up his sword the best he could. For the very first time, Enria saw her lord not have the upper hand in a battle. She must find out more about the oppnite her lord was facing off against and exterminate him before he tries to come after Lord Von’s life again.
Enria, with a curious look on her face, looks up at Angelis and asks, “Who is that man I’m guessing that you travel with?”
Angelis looks down her with a unreadable expression, “Why do you care? You won’t live long enough to remember it!”
Enria snapped at him, “Will you just quit whining and tell me!”
Angelis growls with annoyance, “He is my mentor and co-leader in the Mephistophelian Clan! The oldest of the clan lords, Lucian”
Enria’s jaw drops in shock! She had heard rumors about the clan existing, but she never believed the rumors would be true. Mephistophelian mean “death dealers.” For some reason the more she looked at Lucian fighting in this match, the more she wanted to knew his secret techquie in combat. She had to know more about this man.
Enria questioned, “So you made deals with different demons assassinate their enemies for them?”
“Only if the money was good and clean! Lucian doesn’t care what kind of job it is though! He says money is income when you have to live in this kind of society we live in!” Angelis explains.
No wonder her lord looked like an inexperienced out there. Before she finished the last of her thoughts, she was stopped a scream of pain and agony of her lord taking an injury to the stomach from Lucian’s war-crafted sword. Enria’s moon-colored eyes open wider with sudden shock. Lucian smiles with pleasure with the outcome of this match. He drew his war-crafted sword up in the air just a little to make to final strike to end the of pitiful little Von when the bloodiest scream Lucian had ever heard from a woman was yelling “STOP!!” over and over again. He looks up from where the horrible sound came from the woman with Angelis’s sword held to her neck while enclosed arms tightly.
Lucian had thought she would to something like this that’s the only reason he engaged in a sword match with this fool. It was to get her attention in the long run. He did more than that though, he scared the shit out of her. Her whole life was to guard this creep who was totally unworthy of her present. He was not going to leave this meadow without her at his side, but of course he wouldn’t let her know that just yet.
“What are you shouting at me, Woman? You have no reason to value this man or do you?” Lucian questions her with his sword grazing the surface of her lord’s neck.
He waited several moments and she still didn’t answer him. She just sat there keeping eye contact with him. She is wiser than I gave her credit for, Lucian thought to himself smiling in satisfaction at the woman.
“Woman, what is your name?” Lucian continues to question her.
Enria asks cocky, “Why should you care what I am called?”
“Would you rather I called you “WENCH?” he commented back.
“Enria!” she finally tells him glaring at him coldly.
“Was that so hard to answer me, Lady Enria?” Lucian said. “You still need to answer my first question. Why do you value to man’s life?”
“Every person in the country should value this man’s life. He is….” Enria was cut off from her words when Lucian replies to her in a harsh tone, “He is no different from any other person in this world we live in.”
Enria snaps back at him, “He is to me! I owe him my life! He helped me when one else would.”
Lucian nods his head in understanding, “Very well! What do you wish to do than? What will you give me to spair this pathetic excuse of essentance of life?”
Enria closes her eyes and thought for a moment. She had nothing valuable at all for this male to have. She knew what she was going to have to do to protect her lord’s life, even though she didn’t like it one bit.
Enria preposes, “Myself as your personal servent!”
Angelis and Von were shock with how noble she was. Lucian grins even wider; showing off his angelic smile of fangs, “Angelis, release her now!” Angelis growls at his command, but does at he is told and release Enria. Lucian removes his war sword for Von’s neck, sheaths it, and approaches his new servant, Enria. Lucian looks deep within her golden eyes, “Give me your hand!” She held out her right gloved hand for her new lord. He took it within his hands, holding it up her hand to his face. He removed the glove from her hand and throws it aside while looking about how slender and delicate her fingers were.
Von had not much energy to move, but he knew what Lucian was about to do with his bodyguard. Struggling to get up, he yells at Enria, “Don’t trust him, Enria! You won’t be able to escape him if you do want he wants!”
She was looking in his direction when Lucian took her pointer finger into his mouth and punctured the skin by his razor shape teeth for a drop of her blood. Enria gasps for air while looking back at Lucian. A burst of warm electric current was sent through her woman figure. She felt warm, safe, and wet.
What? Wet? How could she feel wet all of sudden? Enria thought briefly. She rearranged the way she was standing then it hit her. Between her thigh was the biggest betrayals a woman could have done to herself; she was so arousal for this male in front of her. His eyes were closed for a moment then he reopened them, smiles so seductive. It made her whole face flush a cherry red. She was locked with his silver eyes gazing at her. She couldn’t tell for a moment what was so significant about his eyes. She has never seen any eyes like this man’s, not even her lord’s eyes were this beautiful.
Enria finally decided to break the silence and spoke, “Why are you looking about me like that?”
Lucian cocked his left eyebrow slightly, “Because is going to be very entertaining with you around! Especially when you act so innocent! Your facial expression is adorable!”
The emotions within his facial expression changed instantly. He was sweet, charming, but there was one element of emotion that just swept her off her feet; seduction. She knew when he was trying by the way his voice carried; like a soft hiss. His body language gave more of his emotions away than anything though. He reached out, touched, stroked her strawberry blond curls, and twined them within his fingers. Every moment, she was with this man, the more she would become attached to him for some odd reason. Curse my way of thinking and my womanly ways, she hissed in her mind, I hate falling so easily for men.
While she was deep in thought, she was sudden lifted on to her new master’s right shoulder. Noticing this action, she begins to kick and scream for him to let her go. She was still kicking and screaming when she tried to move her wrist and found her hands tied together.
Enria scream to fury, “Let me go, damn! I will have your HAND for this if you DON’T let me go!”
Without even listening to her, Lucian walks over to her appaloosa mare and grabbing the rein while throwing Enria up into her saddle. Lucian glares at her for her vicious words and hissed back, “ENOUGH! I WILL have your TONGUE if you speak ONE more time!”
Without another word, Lucian mounts a chocolate stallion with Enria’s mare’s reins still in his hands. He wraps the reins around the horn of the saddle and ponies her along with him. Angelis joins the group by getting on his personal black stud stallion and trots into the same direction; leaving Lord Von in the mud he been laying. Von glared in the group’s route; thinking, they will pay dearly for what embarrassment they have caused me today! They will pay with their lives.
