Dear Diary; Boys are Evil
"How much trouble are you going to get into this time, hun?" Honestly, the speaker couldn't care less. Sandra always got off easy, maybe loosing privileges of something that really doesn't matter. Like perhaps she would be banned from driving her favorite car to school, though she easily could pick out of the others she owned. Things that could easily be overcome.
At least, that's what everyone else thought.
"Not too much. Don't fret, Monny..." It was a near whisper, something normal and the bit of uncertainty in her voice couldn't be detected unless someone was looking for it. She shook it off, putting on a honey sweet smile as she looked out the window. Sandra could hear the girl snort, shrugging her shoulders as she took a right on the main street.
"Fret? Like I'd worry. Your little pampered ass will be fine." The sad thing was, she was being completely honest, too. The bubbly blonde glanced over at the quiet raven headed girl, noticing how today the shine in her hair was a little duller than usual. Nothing dramatic, just a little change that could be detected by someone who knew the girl well. "Though, you look a little less bright today, anything up? You should be happy. We're going to school tomorrow, the place that you have sitting in the palm of your hand." A small waitress approached the table, she was in her late teens, probably a junior and by the way she was so hesitant at serving the two girls she knew who they were. Though, even if she did mess up, she wouldn't be put through hell, merely her tip would be reduced. Out of school Monica didn't care much for people, and Sandra just never noticed anyone anyway; always lost in her own little world, you could say.
"Palm of my hand, hm? Monny... That's not true..." She whispered, brushing a few strands of her unruly bangs from her face. They just fell back, never listening to her anyway. It was seriously a lost cause. Her body tensed a little when she heard the snort from the waitress that stood to her side, waiting to take their orders. Slowly her head turned, her eye already locked on the brunette, instantly recognizing her as the quiet little mousy girl in her History class. Her gaze was calm, studying the small girl carefully, almost as if deciding on what to do to get her for laughing; the reality was the complete opposite, really.
"Apple cider and a bowl of the house special soup. Extra cheese, please Andrea." She murmured, looking away as she closed her menu and handed it gently to the girl. A shaky hand took the small plastic booklet, terrified that Alessandra de'Mortia knew her name. Was something going to happen to her now? Perhaps she'd be jumped like that other girl..? She should never have laughed, she now knew, taking a deep breath.
"And I'll have a medium strawberry lemonade and a slice of that yummy cheesecake. 'Kay, MacPhearson? Now chop, chop!" Monica was cheerful, smiling almost blindingly at the trembling girl before turning back to Sandra, her friend smile now turning wild. The girl was just being modest, even though she knew she could have everyone crawling on their hands and knees if she wanted it, she was just too kind to everyone. That's why I'm here, Monny thought, laughing to herself, I do all the dirty work. "Now, now, don't be like that. You know it's true." Her companion looked down, hiding the fierce blush that arose on her cheeks. She was just too cute, acting like an innocent little child.
There was a comfortable silence between the two, Sandra still staring down at her lap as she fumbled around with her thumbs. She swore that if she chewed any harder on her lip that it'd start to bleed. Shifting in her seat, she turned around a bit to get into a more comfortable position, resting her back against the wall that the booth they were at was against. Her feet were propped up on the rest of the cushioned seat, her head tilted back as she stared at the ceiling, in such deep thought thinking about nothing. A nice, quiet blank. Now, looking at her from this view, you could really appreciate her small figure.
Standing at an astounding five foot, she wasn't at all an intimidating sight, and even her small 90 pounds worked against her. This girl wasn't busty but nor was she flat-chested. Just a B cup, and it would stay that way. Silky black hair was straight as a board, falling a bit past her shoulders in a choppy cut style, straight-ironed to give it a little straight volume. Bangs swept the the side over her forehead, slightly obstructing the view of her fashionable eye-patch. A single grey eye was lined thinly with a black eyeliner today, the shadow surrounding her eyes at the edges of the liner being a very light red, bordering pink. She hated to over-do it. All in all, Sandra really was a rather attractive girl, just small and quiet and very observant.
The silence was broken by the waitress, Andrea, coming back with their food and drinks. A snarl appeared on Monny's lips, her lip curled up and her smokey blue eyes narrowed. "That was quick? I'd hate to see what it's like when you're going normal speed." She criticized sharply, pulling her plate of food towards her and looking at it to make sure nothing was wrong with it. To Sandra's relief nothing was wrong, and they'd avoid a nasty scene today. Thank god. "You're still standing here? Go away." She spat as a finality, grabbing her fork and taking a small bit of the cheesecake up to eat. Her feathers were ruffled, and now she'd be complaining about it forever and a day. At least... until she met that new guy tomorrow, cute new guys were always her favorite thing in the world. Really. Sandra sighed a bit, scooting her soup towards her and grabbing a spoon. She was focused on the steaming soup, her mouth almost watering at how good it looked. Chunks of potato... lots of cheese in an already cheesy soup.... bits of bacon and other stuff. Oh god, yum.
The metal utensil dipped into the mixture, coming back out filled with a potato, and right as the 17 year old was about to eat it she heard Monny take in a sharp breath. That always meant she was about to say something, not necessarily important, but she was indeed about to speak. A soft sigh slipped past her lips as she set the spoon down into the soup, turning her gaze to her best friend. "Yes, Monica?" Her tone was patient, a smile playing on her lips sweetly. How a girl like that could be the top, she didn't know.
"That girl pisses me off. Laughing as if she was somebody. The second she fucks up at school around you or me, she's gonna be in for a nasty surprise." The wicked snarl was obvious, her voice low and vicious. It sent shivers down Sandra's spine, letting her instantly know that she'd hate to be on the other side of that threat. She used to be, actually, until she ended up meeting the younger Monica at the age of 8, they'd been stuck together for a science project, and had been best friends ever since. "And I can't wait. I hear she's been dating Ryan Maxx for a while now. That'll be fun, hm?" Her voice now at a purr, a lazy smile on her lips as she took a bite of the cheesecake.
Sandra blinked, almost confused at the sudden outburst. It wasn't normal for the plans to be created until after a screw-up, and even then Monny came to her for information on the victims. Remember, Sandra knew everything... She shook it off, picking up the spoon full of the soup, smiling a bit. Now she could eat. "Don't worry about it. Your time for revenge will come..." And with that the spoon was stuck into her mouth, the contents drained and chewed up like any normal person. Swallowing a potato whole... doesn't sound like fun. She giggled quietly, earning an odd stare from her companion and she bit her lip to stifle the noise.
Her attention was caught as she heard the jingle of the comfortable little restaurant's door opening, her senses perking a bit. The noise may have been muffled mostly by the chatter of the place, but she still heard it. Monica looked up, just as curious as she had seen someone enter. A coy smile caused her lips to curl up, tipping Sandra off that it was a male, a cute male. Monny didn't go for the more feminine type, that she knew of at least. A half-eaten slice of cheese cake was pushed away, and the girl scooted over a little in the booth. Oh god, she was going to invite him to the booth. God dammit... The dark headed girl groaned mentally, silencing herself as she shoved another spoonful into her mouth. People weren't her strong point, and even though her friend knew it, she insisted to force people into their presence. Sandra had a small group that she was comfortable with, the rest were all really just her playthings. It was a sick thought, but all very true.
Her perfect silence was broken by a, "Hey! You, cute boy, come here and eat with us. My friend and I would be delighted!" coming from Monica in her deep purr of a voice that she used for these occasions. There was no need to turn around to see if he was coming, his light footsteps could be heard from a mile away, causing her to shovel more soup into her mouth. She'd deal with it, yes, but right now was supposed to be a relaxing dinner before the hell of school tomorrow. She inclined her head, staring at her lap shyly, wishing someone she knew was with her as well so she wouldn't be kept out of the conversation. Even though she knew she wouldn't... Monica was good about those things. Dammit.
"Hey, cutie. You came. Have a seat next to me here. I doubt you'll be comfortable sitting Sandra's legs." A playful glare was shot at the unsuspecting girl who looked up at the mention of her name, her eyes flying wide open as her cheeks flushed pink. She'd come in on the wrong part of the conversation, only seeing the playful glare. God, her friend got rather bubbly when someone else joined.
"Uhm.. Sure, I guess." The voice belonging to the boy was deep, husky, drawing you in. Monny obviously liked it, her smile widening as he sat down. She kept her hands to herself for now. "So uh, I'm Alec..." His start was unsure, a little hesitant for he obviously wasn't suspecting to be already meeting people on his trip to get some food. He didn't go oblivious to the blush, his eyebrow raising towards the girl curiously.
"I'm Monica." A flirty smile was thrown at him, but it fell slightly as she noticed all of Alec's attention was focused on Sandra. What the hell was up with that? It was probably just the typical 'stare-at-the-eye-patch-girl' thing, and it kind of bothered her. An uncomfortable twitch of the cheek signaled for Monica to draw the attention away, though her gaze was trapped in the deep, amused stare of the new male.
