The Shadow over the grass
'Even though we've been alive for a while, we never grasped conciosness until the day a large shadow loomed over our grazing ground. At first we were just dumb beasts who ate, slept, and mated when we felt the need. That is until the day a young seth somehow lead some of our heard toward the sorce of the spacious shadow.
"What do you you think Djoser?" said a brownish male seth with a lofty black mane.
"It's a sign." Replied Djoser who looked similar to the first male 'Tep', who asked him.
"Your fancy words speak in seth talk for Tum's sake!" Tep was easily angered when confused or facing any kind of change.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Meanwhile the humans pondered the strange behavior of the kings favorite beasts.
"What all them Ass's up too, I never see em' with their heads pointing at a statue." Said a man at a plow.
"Look!"Another pointed and all the people in kings pasture were astounded and frightened when
the donkey Djoser stood on two legs with his front hooves joined as if praying to the donkey statue looming over the pasture.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Do you think Djoser is sick?" Asked one of the other seths.
"Maybe he's gone mad and the horus will cut him down." Said another.
"That's enough from you two!" Tep butted them with his head.
"That rock is in our immage, we answere to him!"Djoser took advantage of the ones who were'nt aware of their own free will. "That creature is greater than the horus who look down on us, It speaks to me and it is telling me that we the seth are more than what our opresors think."
Djoser words woke all of us up but not all of us agreed with him.
"The horus have been kind to the seths!"one argued, a mare who's fur was so fine it looked as if it were colored lavender 'Wennet', and her mate 'Geb', named after and colored dark brown like the earth we walked on, knodding his head.
"FOOLISH BEASTS!" Djoser brayed. The herd became silent. "Molassess." He addressed a large black hefty seth. "Where are your foals?" He asked calming his tone. But the muel didn't answere. "SOLD! Do we seths sell other living things?" We didn't know what half of his words were and that is why most of the herd followed him, believing he was the wisests. Not all of us were naive. Myself, My mate the angry Tep, his father 'Red' a redish-brown old ass with no mane, Molasses, Wennet,Geb, and my son Syrus, a small pure white colt, waited until the others slept and tried to escape...but Molasses went into labor. Unfortunatly the brays of an old muel birthing a stillborne woke everyone including the false prophit Djoser.
"Do you know what this means?"Djoser asked. "The stoneseth is angry that we haven't carried out his will, and that's why Mollassess's foal was born dead."
"Enough of your lies!" Tep butted Djoser. This was the last incident before the palehorus came and turned our world upsidedown. We didn't know what was happening at first but when the air burned our noses and eyes we were certain something out of our control was coming down fast.
"SYRUS!" I couldn't find my colt after that until Tep told me he saw him racing toward the inards of the horus dwelling. Tep and I followed through caves so even it horrified us with its beauty. More stone beasts were inside crumbling under the chaos, fire all around us but my mate and I searched for our son.
"Naz, over there."Tep nudged me and I saw my son with a strange fur bunched in his mouth.
"Syrus follow us!" The three of us raced for the large river. Along our run Red, Wennet, and, Molassess joined in our small stampede. At the corner of my eyes I could only see fire, and cilloettes of the seths that Djoser brainwashed, biting the horus and palehorus alike. we stopped a hill far from what was our home. The only thing still standing was the giant stone seth.
"Syrus what's that you got in your muzzle?" Red snorted, unphased by the events. "Spit it out."
Syrus placed the fur on the ground..revealing the baby horus he stole from the palace.
"What is that for Tum's sake are you mad?"
"Don't overreact dad, let's just kill it and be on our way." Tep suggested.
"NO!"Molassess spoke for the first time since her failed pregnancy. "I'm taking it, it's mine."
"Your mad, it's not one of us!" Red argued.
"Son why did you run into the dwelling for that horus?"
"It was asking for help but it doesn't speak but it doesn't not speak." Syrus made little sense but we all saw him as our suethsayer although we didn't know the word at the time.
"Nonsense seth baby." Now his father made little sense.
"Listen up you young ones, I may be without a colt but I'm still givin' milk, that baby horus needs me to live and I need him so I don't swell up, so that will be enough of this conversation, the baby horus is apart of our herd now!." She always had the last word. Molassess was the true wisest with her age, wisdom, and experience.

If you have to laugh...Laugh allready...The story will really kickup if you follow it, I'll admit that begining a story is the tough part for me...
