Chapter 2

Cherry
Chapter 2
(071204)

Autumn nervously smoothed out her hair, the fluffy brown locks tousled and out of control. She rounded the corner panting, her body unprepared for the recent physical activity. She slowed to a walk, the heel of her school shoes clacking against the tiled hallway. The girls change rooms were just around the corner and she slowed her steps in order to fix her uniform.

Autumn's panties were uncomfortably wet and she was sweating, her body on fire from both the run and her encounter with Dominick. She tried to pull herself together, sliding her tie up as she patted her collar down. The bottom of her shirt had slid out from underneath her dark blue sweater and as she pushed it back in she also tugged the sleeves of the garment up.

The door to the change rooms was heavy and wooden and Autumn had to force it open, throwing her weight into it. The door opened under the right amount of force, but the hinges had been recently oiled and no sound was made. She tucked her brown her ears, trying to keep it off her face as she tentatively made her way into the change rooms.

"April?" She called, her heels clicking on the tile. She strained her ears as she ventured further in, peering around the corner to the various benches. Perched on one of the benches, untying her trainers was April, relatively unscathed save for the nasty graze on her sisters knee, the skin around it crusted with dirt.

"I told you I'd meet you by your car." April frowned at her older sister as she pulled her polo shirt over her head. She shoved the white shirt into her sport bag as she kicked her shoes off.

"I know, but I got bored waiting." Autumn sat herself down on the benches opposite to her sister as she continued to pat at her hair. She stopped when she noticed her younger sibling smirk at her.

"What or should I say whom, have you been doing?" April asked, wiggling her eyebrows suggestively.

"April!" Autumn pressed a hand to her cheek, her face heating up.

"Is he cute? Sexy? Dashing perhaps?" April prodded, fluttering her eyelashes coyly. April jumped, startled, when the door to the change rooms was audibly flung open. The clatter of heels stomping against tiles and Autumn fiddled with the hem of her skirt, crossing her legs demurely.

Sarah McKinnon stormed in flanked by two of her friends. Gretchen Wilson and Hannah Graham were similar to Sarah in many ways. Both were of less than average intelligent with few academic honours and even fewer morals. Gretchen and Hannah were the receivers of Sarah's cast offs. Any male suitor that failed to catch her fancy were quickly foisted off to her cronies. Gretchen and Hannah received these favours eagerly and like Sarah, Autumn thought of them as little more than glorified street walkers.

"What did you want?" April snapped as she pulled a long sleeved pink and white shirt over her head.

"April, don't be rude. Yes Sarah?" Sarah gaped wordlessly at Autumn who simply smiled sweetly and watched her attentively.

"Why are you here?" Sarah asked rudely, her fists clenching as April shoved both her shoes and her socks into her sports bag. Autumn's heart skipped a beat as she realised that her own bag was missing.

"I go to school here." Autumn replied, trying to keep a neutral face as April slid off her tennis skirt.

"I know that." Sarah snapped as April sniggered, undoing her hair and running her fingers through it.

"Aren't you showering?" Autumn asked as April slid her jeans on.

"I will at home. I have a date tonight."

"My car will smell. And who with?" Autumn tried not to giggle as Sarah seethed angrily, visibly irritated as the siblings ignored her.

"Adam Bailey." April said, giggling as she sprayed herself with deodorant.

"Spray me." Autumn pulled her hands away from her chest and April sprayed her with her deodorant.

"Let's go. I'm running out of time." April zipped up her bag and slung it over her shoulder. She looked at her sister, tilting her head to the side as Sarah stood with her hands on her hips, tapping her foot impatiently.

"Where's your bag?" She asked as the pair began working.

"In the car." Autumn said, waving her sister off as their movements were halted as they reached the three girls.

"Move." April told them, rolling her eyes.

"No. I have a bone to pick with you." Sarah drew herself up to her full height and huffed impatiently.

"Autumn, how does one pick a bone?" April asked.

"Why, you put it in a vat of chemicals that burn the flesh off and then you crack it open and suck out the bone marrow. Duh."

"That's disgusting." Gretchen grimaced.

"Goes really well with butter sauce." Autumn told them as Hannah gagged visibly.

"I think I'm going to be sick." Sarah said, taking a step back.

"Story of your life." April told her.

"April, bulimia nervosa is a serious disease." Autumn scolded as she wiggled her finger at her younger sister.

"I'm sure it is. But we're wasting precious time."

"Well then let's put the pedal to the metal and get out of here." Autumn stepped around the trio as she spoke, her hand in her skirt pocket digging for her car keys.

"I haven't finished with you." Sarah called after them as the sisters left, clearly annoyed.

"This way." Autumn led her sister down the same route she had taken to the change rooms, the heavy, wooden door swinging shut behind them. April didn't argue, instead following her sister down the hall. When they reached the alcove near the drink fountain and the bank of lockers Autumn stopped.

"What?" April asked as she used the stainless steel surface of the drink fountain to check her reflection.

"I thought I dropped something here." Autumn mused before turning back to the hall. April, too busy looking at her reflection didn't notice Dominick d'Abreau standing a few metres away, Autumn's bag in his hands.

Autumn glanced at her sister as she preened, before turning back to Dominick. He still looked dishevelled, his hair mussed and his uniform askew. He placed her bag on the floor and blew her a kiss before turning and striding off. Autumn paused for a moment watching him walk. He walked tall, his shoulders back and his head up. His shoulders were wider than his hips and his fitted school pants didn't his already glorious arse a multitude of favours.

Autumn smiled to herself as she walked forward to collect her bag. She picked up off the floor watching as Dominick turned at the end of the hallway, making his way to the east wing of the school.

"I thought you said your bag was in the car." April said as she walked up to her sister.

"No, I didn't." Autumn told her.

"Yeah, you did." April frowned at her older sister.

"Didn't."

"Did."

"Didn't."

"Did."

"Didn't."

"You know what Autumn, sometimes I really do hate you."
