Dying Moon
The dying moon
She cries at night when the light can't find her face
A broken child of the moon and night
forgetting what it was she felt
forgetting herself
The Sun has left her alone in the dark
Bodies around her, touching, grinding, grabbing
but she feels nothing
She wishes for the burning of the light
for the pain she loves so much
Had it been so long, that touch sizzled her skin?
One thing she knew for sure in her weaken state
The moon was nothing without her sun
She cries at night when the light can't find her face
