[Friday – 16 – November] High school [4 Months earlier]
Polished fingernails were pressing against cold Metal as the female hand slammed the door of her locker shut callously. There was a brief silence in the soft yellow coloured halls before she heard more people approach, the tapping of shoes on the concrete floor echoed closer. As she overheard the conversation between the people, she was sure they weren\'t friends of hers. She took one step forwards and right at that moment deep emerald eyes locked onto jade ones.
"Ahh, Chase." Her artificial tone just made a certain vibe crawl through her veins that made her want to rip the girl\'s black hair out lock by lock.
"Good morning, Arith." Emerald replied, calling the girl before her by her first name. She didn\'t quite take it well, but dismissed it as she brushed past Emerald\'s shoulder with significant glance that had poison written all over it.
Deciding to play ignorant, Emerald walked on. Entering the cafeteria, she looked around for her group of people. She spotted them in the back by the window, and she made her way through the crowd towards them. But while she past a bunch of guys, one in particular grasped her by her hand and pulled her towards him. The second she captured a sense of what was going on, she was hanging in someone\'s arms and staring at the ceiling.
"Put me down!" She snarled at the blond haired boy who was grinning widely.
"What\'s wrong Em\', don\'t like me holding you?" He answered cockily, his cologne so strong it almost made her nose burn away from the inside out. "Please, just put me down Tyler, before your girlfriend notices."
He seemed a bit crestfallen by this reply, letting her legs falls down as he placed her back on the ground steadily. "You\'re afraid of her?" He questioned, blinking rather peculiar.
"I\'m not afraid of her. I\'m afraid of the lawyer she\'ll send at me for ruining her years of daily manicures. Because I will break her nails, one by one." She crossed her arms over her chest, a lock of her dark cinnamon hair falling over her right eye. Tyler\'s tongue protruded between his lips, moisturizing them as he chuckled.
There was no innocence in the boy\'s eyes, his innocence was inexistent, yet fooled many. Emerald held no grudge against him, but knew from the moment she met him that his brain worked like that of a predator\'s. She grew to appreciate him nonetheless.
"See you later!" The brunette female turned her back to the boy and walked off to where she was initially going. Tyler stared at her, mostly to the lower section. Distracted, he got pushed aside by a shorter boy who apparently had a lot of strength.
"No chance." The boy sniggered as he followed in desame direction. Leaving Tyler glaring at his back.
"Carrie!" Emerald called out to her friend, who called her name in response. And as she started talking, someone gave a hard tug on her hair which caused her voice to crescendo. Knowing quite well who caused her to yelp like that, she sighed. There was always this one guy who had to jostle her around all the time. "You\'re always an annoyance, Nathan."
"I\'d be boring if I wasn\'t, eh!"
Scowling, she sat down. Nathan sat down next to her, that mischievous grin always stuck on his face like glue. "So, studied for today\'s test?" He questioned, as she turned her head towards him, staring into his dark brown eyes. She always noticed that it was almost impossible to spot his pupil in them, as if they drowned in his eye colour. Finally, she shook herself from her thoughts and replied; "Take a guess!" She muttered.
"...No, you didn\'t..." He blinked, as if pretending to be surprised.
"Bingo!" She mentally cursed for forgetting all about studying, and she quickly grasped her bag to find the book.
"Man, I\'m going like a train today!" Nathan chimed in her ear, she stared up from her textbook and smirked. "Now if only you got underneath one."
He pouted, somewhat hurt by what she said. Then recovered by slapping her harshly on her upper leg, she froze completely. "God dammit!" She mentally scorned him for doing that, he was strong and he had big hands, if you got hit by him it\'d feel like he smacked you with a brick.
A loud bell rings, a sign for everyone to get off their lazy asses and make way towards a musty scented classroom just to sit on their lazy asses again for another hour, whilst listening to underpaid adults, supposedly teaching you everything you need to know in life.
Skinless, Emerald stood up and followed the crowd. Air brushing against her, sounds printing themselves indelibly inside her ears, and everything impresses her. After walking through several halls, she enters the classroom and takes her normal seat in the back. Her bag thrown roughly on the ground, letting herself fall down casually onto the uncomfortable chair.
She watched lazily as her classmates stroll in, as well. She threw a quick glare towards Arith, who didn\'t really notice, but that didn\'t matter. "Hey Emerald!" A familiar girl breezes, sitting down next to Emerald. "Hey Lynne, why are you so happy?" She smiled at her in a surge of fondness only mixed with a little trepidation that she may be bringing bad news.
"You\'ll never guess who asked me out!"
"The janitor?" Emerald mocked, who received an accusing look in return. "No, that really cute guy in my Chemistry class!" Lynne uncrossed her slender legs and somewhat giggled, to Emerald\'s surprise. "Really? That\'s actually... Not so surprising!" She replied, looking straight into her friend\'s amber eyes. She blinked a couple of times, then threw her beautiful raven hair from her face, letting it drop back on her shoulders. "Thank you, you\'re sweet."
"I know." Emerald nodded, silencing herself as the teacher walked in. An immature old man, distinct wrinkle patterns appeared as he frowned towards the number of teenagers who were still sitting twisted in their chairs, busy with other things. He coughed loudly, causing them to jump in their chairs and quickly settle again, facing him. "Thank you for your attention, I feel honoured to teach you all about Math today." He scowled sarcastically, lowering his briefcase on the desk and sitting down comfortably in his chair. He folded his arms and watched one girl in particular, who still joked around with her friend.
"I know she must be highly entertaining, Dina, but could you please stop making any sounds for the rest of the hour?" He muttered sternly as he went through some papers.
"But sir, I still need to breathe!" She answered, lowering her little mirror back in her bag together with her brush and eyeliner. The old man snorted back at her, "No, no you don\'t."
"Then I\'d die... Wouldn\'t that upset you, sir?" She gave him a pitiful look, trying to fish for compliments.
"Actually, not at all. I think your death is pretty much what we\'re all aiming for. Now, continuing with this class, open your books at page 386."
Everyone couldn\'t help but snigger, but Emerald was just trying to hold back laughter. Dina shot her a look of hatred, which she responded to by smiling brightly and innocently.
After class Emerald was awaited by Dina, who stood on her small brown pumps, a pair of jeans just barely able to handle her colossal legs, and a brown shirt that was highly unflattering towards her upper body. "Emerald, you look hideous today." Dina said with a chortle, her lips stained with a Bordeaux coloured lipstick that were almost threatening to break when she spoke. And those taunting eyes of hers, lacklustre blue eyes with a thick line of black eyeliner on her eyelids. Her dyed brown hair cascading down till her shoulders.
"Thank you, Dina,"
"You must feel really good about those extra fat rolls." Emerald added a little cheerfully.
Lacking anything to come back with, Dina grunted and walked past Emerald\'s shoulder, only to stop at her friend Kim. "Did I tell you that I was going to enter a pageant with my mom?" The blonde haired girl Kim stared at her, then shook her head. Dina had expected this response and turned to Emerald once more, "Why don\'t you enter as well? Oh wait! Your mom is a rotting corpse full of maggots! Sorry, must\'ve slipped my mind." Dina hissed back, venomous as ever, but this time she struck a nerve.
Sickened by the laughter that was drawn out, and fuming with a rage she could hardly control, Emerald ran off into the other direction, never looking back to see their satisfied faces.
She caught up with Nathan, who was already getting his books for their next class. Abruptly, she jerked to a halt, and waited for him to notice her presence. He did after slamming his locker shut, and staring directly into her eyes that were so similar to her very name. "E-Emerald!" he blurted out, as if he had never seen her before. She rolled her eyes, "truly, Nathan, you have bad hearing... Try to keep down the music on your MP4, sweetie."
"Thank you," he muttered sarcastically before continuing. "So, what\'s wrong?"
"This is scarcely the time to raise such questions." She retorted, pointing at his watch, indicating their next class. German. She had hated German, but grew to appreciate it when she found out she was actually good at it. "Well then, let\'s go." Her male friend said, forlorn that she refused to talk about the things that bothered her.
----------------------------------------------------------
Luckily for Emerald, Dina did not follow all desame classes as her. She watched Carrie walk in the half empty classroom, taking her place in front of Emerald as always. Suddenly, her heart dropped from her chest into her stomach. A boy she hadn\'t noticed before walked in, his brown hair cascading perfectly down to his shoulders. The clothes he wore; quite obviously expensive. This boy came from a wealthy family, she was sure of it.
His gaze suddenly found hers, his eyes were blue... A beautiful dark blue that could make the very sky look dull. Not only was his expression cold, but just the way he observed her, had nothing but coldness written all over. She couldn\'t tear her gaze away from him, yet she really wanted to.
Intrigued, yet very annoyed, she managed to look away from him. Shifting her gaze towards a girl that also caught her gaze. She was holding something, aiming it... Emerald quickly ducked as a pen was smashed against the wall behind her. "What the hell!" She snapped, raising both her eyebrows at the girl who had thrown it.
Desari. She had blue eyes as well, but much lighter. White blond, curling hair that fell beautifully onto her back. She had the appearance of an angel, but the personality of a demon. A voice so loud a mere shriek could make your ears bleed. "Oh, my finger must\'ve slipped... Watch it, Emerald, he\'s mine." She hissed in a placid whisper.
Emerald defiantly crossed her arms over her chest, glaring at Desari one last time before looking in front of herself. Carrie stared at her in understanding. "That girl, is the biggest bitch I have ever seen."
Nodding without actually listening, Emerald lowered her head and let it rest upon her hands. The teacher still hadn\'t arrived, and she was growing tired. Her last goddamn hour of class, and her teacher had to be late. She could\'ve been home by now, eating dinner, watching TV, sleeping, dreaming... Yes, dreaming she looked forward to.
She wished for someone to love. And that someone, would be perfect. A voice of unparalleled beauty. She wanted to succumb to that, a grip so extraordinarily gentle, tender even; holding her with exquisite care. Being trapped in the fathomless depths of ones eyes. There was no end there, just a free fall she couldn\'t pull out of. Her heartbeat slowing until it was beating with their exact same rhythm.
That was what she wanted, to be under an unnatural black-magic spell, and to never be able to pull herself away from that dark, hypnotic gaze. Most of all, for someone to speak her name, breathing the syllables. Whispered it between exasperated indulgence and purring warning. Made it sound silky and scented and sexy. Everything that she was not.
Of course she realized, that would never happen. Nobody gets what they truly want, but those lucky enough get even more than they wanted. Closing her eyes, wanting the dream so badly, she blocked out everything around her.
She was on the verge of falling asleep, perhaps dreaming of what could never be, if her friend didn\'t nudge her at that moment. At first, she was angry, but then saw the teacher sitting in his chair his with hand digging in his briefcase.
She murmured a "thank you" at Carrie\'s direction before opening her book and randomly flipping through the pages like she was working on something. She raised her left wrist to her face, pulling back the fabric of her black turtleneck to reveal her watch. 16:10. She drew in breath, and sighed heavily. She had twenty minutes to go before she was released from this hell.
There was a sense of sadness clinging to her, one she could neither explain nor ignore. Like something was tugging at her very soul. Quickly, she thought of different things, she stared at the chalk board and repeated every German sentence in her mind cautiously.
"Emerald," Someone called her name, though it seemed to be very familiar. "Emerald, over here!" Now she saw who was calling her. Nathan, next to him was that boy with the blue eyes. Nathan nudged him once more, causing him to turn around and face Emerald.
"He likes you" Nathan mouthed, Emerald found it rather hard to actually understand what he was trying to tell her. But nodded slowly, trying to erase it from her mind as soon as possible, the embarrassment that boy could cause her sometimes. If he wasn\'t going around telling people she was hard to get, he\'d always have to tell her who had a crush on her. If Emerald hadn\'t known any better, she\'d suspect Nathan of having a crush on her.
She drew in another large of air as she lowered her gaze upon her work, randomly writing down "Ich liebe dich." unaddressed. Desari stood behind her, she hadn\'t even noticed her. The blonde leaned down, the scent of an expensive perfume getting caught in Emerald\'s nose, but that wasn\'t bothering her.
Lightly, Emerald lifted her brows. Desari pressed her mouth against her cheek, making her feel all the structures on Desari\'s lips. Emerald had already flinched, unable to move, her eyes threatening to pop out of her head. Desari pulled back, but leaving a mentally scarring imprint on Emerald\'s mind. "Don\'t forget what I told you." The blonde murmured vaguely before walking away.
Emerald shuddered, dangerously close to falling off her chair. She quickly scanned the classroom to make sure no one saw what just happened. To her relief, everyone was busy doing their homework. She quickly rubbed her cheek several times, the scent of the loathed blonde still lingering around her. She promised herself to bathe her cheek in acid if it was needed, just to get the whole event out of her head. She imagined tripping Desari, and pulling her stiletto\'s from her feet. And once Desari ran away on her bare feet, she would throw the stiletto like a knife towards the back of her head. That would be just the perfect death for Desari, nothing more nothing less. But, Emerald knew that was impossible to do.
As expected, the bell rang for the last time today. Everyone threw their books in their bags and got up, grabbing their coats and leaving. Emerald would leave with Carrie, and probably Nathan too.
Carrie mused something about German as she walked up to Emerald with her bike. They returned smiles, and watched Nathan walk by from around the corner, together with that new boy. Emerald practically choked on the very air she breathed as she received another glance from him, with those cold blue eyes of his.
So he would join them? Great. \'Shoot me now.\' Emerald thought bitterly, turning around with her bike and riding off a bit further. Another bike appeared next to her, and she thought it was Nathan. But was surprised to see the boy again, he smirked devilish at her. "I never quite caught your name today..." His voice was much deeper than Nathan\'s. He waited for Emerald to respond, and she did.
"My name\'s Emerald. And yours?"
"Zack. That\'s a beautiful name, it fits you." He replied.
Emerald nodded blushing and smiling lightly. "Go people!" Nathan\'s voice beamed from behind them, with Carrie next to him.
Emerald lived closest out of all, just over the hill. She was mentally cursing in her mind that she couldn\'t speak with Zack right next to her, like she was afraid to say something stupid.
"Coming through!" A voice interjected, and a bike coming up right in between her and Zack. "Hello!" The girl, Kim, mused. Emerald glared at her slightly, remembering her as Dina\'s little friend. Kim seemed to force her aside on the hill, and Emerald was dangerously close to the edge. "Uhm, Kim."
No response, Emerald\'s front wheel rode over the grass. "KIM!" She yelled, losing the grip on her bike and being forced to lean on Kim\'s shoulder, who quickly shoved her off "Get off me, weirdo!" she muttered, but then gasped at what she had done.
Emerald fell off the hill with her bike with a horrible speed, and would fall onto merciless concrete down below...
[Friday – 16 – March] Hideout [Current time]
Sky black like liquid ink, stars shimmering as small candle flames. Almost like unknown lungs inhaled all the outside air, a free sweep op wind was nowhere to be found. Like sinister voices warned the civilians of the upcoming danger, the night streets were awkwardly silent and abandoned.
From the border of this new found city, though not unknown, two souls entered through the edge of night. One, mutilated and born from the ashes of Hades, destined to lead a sinful life. Yet, set in rebellion deep down to prove differently if that day ever came to be. Heartless, selfish, powerful and a sinister mind make deadly tools if ever given to the wrong person. With no mercy, outstanders can be pulled into a conflict to eventually drown in.
As with the second soul, had no other choice but to start swimming. A person of whom would be expected much from, eventually too much. But only time can tell if this soul is a strong as she seems to be, and has the ability to hold on when she\'s slipping away.
A face so perfect, and eyes set so gracefully calm at ease. Filled lips with fresh passion and shining locks of brown, lingering with the smell of roses sprinkled in dew. A body created to play with your eyes, to look at but forbidden to touch. Hands destined to hold, trace for the contours as her nails would tear you open whenever freedom was within her grasp. Emerald was left to her fate as she laid unconscious in the arms of her captivator. A pair of pale hands with long fingers stood out in the dark of night as they clung underneath Emerald\'s legs and back. Her limb body hung lifelessly in the arms of the escaped ex-prisoner, Liedaya. Like invisible arms seemed to carry the brunette, the demon didn\'t seem to show any sign of tiredness at all. Her expression stood in an ice cold fit straight ahead, as if she wouldn\'t even blink if a knife would to cross her path. A path no one knew they were walking, only the blonde knew where she had to go. Where they, had to go.
Liedaya had no other choice but to sedate the now sleeping beauty, or it would be so much harder to travel. And travel they did. With the little power the female demon had left, she had escaped the secluded prison to a new country. Named, North America. City, Manhattan. To escape the highly guarded prison in a weakened state was troublesome. Needing to take someone with you and keep them from harm, was annoying. A harder thing for Liedaya to do, who had not released her powers in years. Good thing she had her personal ex-guard, to feast on his internal organs and free her eternal hunger for flesh and blood. It was a good boost and all she needed to escape, but her energy was slipping away... and taking her remaining strength to go on with it.
The demon had crossed the land in one night, with Emerald\'s form still in her arms. When they finally entered the city in North America, it was like Liedaya\'s senses were set on a blazing fire. So many people, fresh flesh and warm drinks... Ready to be devoured. But that was not the only thing that made the blonde demon alert... She could feel her fellow species close by, scattered around in the continent of America. But much more of them in the North... where one of the main hideouts was located. Liedaya had no choice but to run the last few miles, because for a weak demon the stroll through a city like this, was not the most ideal thing to do. The blonde her body structure became forced and her muscles tensed up, the black pits in the centre of her eyes caverns decreased to minor dots. Her arms held on to Emerald tightly and her legs pushed off hard against the ground, leaning her torso forward and disappearing in less then a micro second, in thin air.
A continent containing a demon hideout, is like an underground burrow for ants. Or like an beehive, for drones. They come crawling in numbers for absolute safety, if needed. Because also demons, have enemy\'s. Even a powerful and disciplined race like that of the descendents of hell, don\'t live in harmony. Even worse than that... some demons can be in danger around others, of their own kind. Though the blonde has been gone for some years, before she left the dark side of the world was already splitting. Yes, splitting. The world Liedaya lived in fourteen years ago was already heavily backfired with constant arguing and struggle for dominance and power before she left. There was always more than one powerful demon with the bright idea to claim and know how the world should be ruled. Creating differences, gaps between the once firm steady group of devils. The underworld on earth was changing, and creating the first few disorders. As others noticed the first dared commotion, more demons began to stand out en started their own little clan of followers. Until the group had fallen apart into smaller groups and such a thing as union, seemed to be an forgotten word. Even the demon who was already in charge, didn\'t have arms that stretched as far to stop the distortion from happening.
A demon above all others, said to be the strongest one alive, said to be one, of the first. The first, a small group of demons which were, according to history, the first demons to ever been born. No, not born. Created.
---
In year zero, during the spreading announcement of Jesus Christ. When the child of god was suddenly put into every whisper passing a human\'s lips, and his abilities became adored and envied from one day to another. It was said, that this man could make disabled people walk again. Cure the ones who were so sick, and had no other option but to wait for their deaths. By simply touching you, you would be blessed and heal. With a simple kiss on the forehead, the blind could see again. And with one single stroke, a baby would grow up to be a healthy strong man. He was believed to be the child of god, the messenger of the great lord to watch over the weaker people on earth. People came crawling to Jesus\'s feet, begging him to heal the wounds of their beloved or their own.
The less fortunate worshipped him, while others thought he was a fake, and tried to make even his name perish. But also, he was envied. And with some, jealousy can drive people to do things... The way people looked up at him, the things he could do, the status he had... So many prayed to god to get a spark of that holiness. Every day, and every night... Some kept on praying, few others... got sick of it. There had to be an easier way to gain power and status. To have that holiness for themselves and use it for their own benefits. Yes, people secretly craved for that power. No one spoke about it openly though, but still... like a twisted fate wanted it to happen, a small group of five, with the same desires... found its sinister path moulding together, as one.
As soon as they knew about their hidden secret, they began to do a cloaked research. Exchanging the knowledge they already possessed and gained, finding rituals, lost and forgotten spells. But more importantly, dangerous gods. In this era, what they were doing was seen as witchcraft. A death penalty if anyone other but them, found out about their greedy \'secrets\'. In due time, their endless research had paid of and brought them a possible link to that what they wished for. Something the ancient scrolls referred to as, \'The deal with the devil.\' In all of the months that they had searched for as much as a sign on how they could become powerful, they had only found one scroll written in an ancient language. One was all they needed. Lucky for group one of them could still read some of he words, with trouble. No one know how he was able to do so... But why ask? When the man was finished deciphering the scroll, he explained what to do, how to do it and the consequences. Seeing as God didn\'t want to answer their prayers, maybe they should turn to the other side of what was believed to be good and bad.
If God wasn\'t going to give them what they wanted, Satan certainly would. To make the deal, they had to pronounce a spell and what they wanted along with giving a human sacrifice. Also, they read in a piece of the scroll that you can only call onto Satan in a specific year, month, day and hour. But yet again, luck was on their side. With the right time within their grasp and the sacrifice ready to be made, they prepared the ritual in silence and hidden from the world. To make the Devil\'s deal, you could have everything that you want but in order to do so, you had to pay him back. When you got what you wanted, the Devil would take your soul and bring it back to hell to be at his mercy till the end of time. And seeing as hell didn\'t seem to have a beginning nor end, you would be there for a long, long time. The day of the devil had arrived and the group of five had started the ceremony at six past twelve. Repeating the spell as they brutally murdered their sacrifice after carving deep symbols inside the sacrifice\'s flesh, whilst it was still awake.
Terror filled at first when nothing seemed to happen, until the gruesome presence of the dark entered the room and alarmed them all. A man was first released of his fear when he spoke shivering words to the god of death. And who was Satan to deny such an useful offer? One so different than all the others He had made before. This one deserved His special attention indeed.
The pact was made... the contract was written and the group of five endured an tremendously painful transformation that same week. Normally they would\'ve died, but this time Satan was not after their souls and would keep them living... no, they would be so much more useful, left alive. And live they would. That, In big lines, was how The first got born. Why this was all explained? The first man who dared to talk to the Devil, was Samael Headem. He was the first to be forsaken with his greedy wish and was forever bound to the god of death, he was the first demon to ever exist on earth behind his master. He is the current ruler of the underworld on earth. Or at least, \'was\' the ruler of the underworld on earth.
After that happening something unpredicted, started to unfold. The demons on earth, slowly started to multiply. It was true that even though they had become totally un-human, they still had their sexual needs. And oh so slow, demons started to drip out of the group of five. Spreading, breeding on. Slowly polluting the pure blooded demons, creating the half blooded race in order to spread faster. As the Demon kind started to part into two different species, the first small objectives were made. The full blooded were of opinion that the half blooded were a weaker and a lower ranked kind of being than themselves, and deserved less power and freedom. Whilst the other side ought the full blooded to be way over their heads, and underestimated them with a dear price. The differences started with a minor comment, but in due time others got the same remarks. As also how to go around with the normal humans, some thought that they should be used as life stock, put into cages and once in a while pick out a few to devour. While others said to leave them alone, the normal humans still were with millions of numbers more and revenge would come hard if enough were to oppose them.
Going through all those years since then, the commotion had risen to a level that demons were attacking their own kind within sight. How low, the superior race had fallen.
---
Liedaya suddenly appeared in frond of a building as she ran a few more steps, slowing down until she kept on walking in an easy pace. Holding Emerald in her arms, the blonde loosened her tight grip around the other female. Giving a short glance down before she walked in frond of a double electronic door with a camera, voice control and an code and pass to enter. Slowly the dirty blonde tilted up her face and stared directly in the camera lens, it burst. Next to her, on the control panel the numbers started to light up, as if people expected something from her. Liedaya turned her head and stared at the screen. Could she still remember the code? Her hand lifted and touched the buttons, making a five digit code. After that she pressed the green button and the light dimmed down again, leaving her and her company alone in the dark.
For a moment, the demon thought they had turned their back on her. Because she saw no motion in the door, but behind her... She was getting tense, or they opened up now, or she would leave again. Because standing in the open like this is dangerous. The blonde narrowed her eyes as she could feel something getting nearer, flashing her eyes to the side to keep and eye on her back.
Gritting her teeth together and ready to raise her voice, the door opened up. Quickly she moved inside as the door slide shut behind her, consuming the pair in blackness. Liedaya shut her eyes, and then opened them again as she had adapted her eyesight for darkness and could see normally again. That same smell entered her nose, that same feeling she knew so well, the place were she had lived for many years until fourteen years ago. Finally, Liedaya was home again.
She walked slow, her footsteps were only a soft tap as she had no shoes. But still it was like you could hear that single tap miles away in this bitter silence. Like eyes stared through every closed door she passed. But that was not in the least anything that kept Liedaya\'s mind occupied. She needed to get her little \'treasure\' to a safer heaven. The only one she knew, her own room. The building she was in now, was an experimental facility. Helping the government with all kinds of different tests and subjects, highly classified. A perfect cover for owning sharp objects, wouldn\'t you say?
The lower floors were kept for that restriction, while the upper floors and basement were kept for demon use, only. This building alone had 110 floors, and you could only guess how many rooms. Once lost inside, it was hard to find your way out, for the building only had two high speed elevators and one single emergency staircase to bring you down, and if you didn\'t know were those were located... you\'d be searching for hours. These halls were specially made to feel like a labyrinth, to make you feel like a mouse in a maze. Good for Liedaya, she knew this building as long as it was build. She experienced every little change in the compound, and the facility stood here for around thirty years now. Minus the time she had been gone, you could say the blonde knew her away around.
As the female demon walked through the hallway she entered a larger hall, what would be the information desk for the normal humans. She walked on to the back and opened a door, revealing another long hall with doors on the side and an plus crossing in the middle of the hall. As Liedaya walked on and reached the centre of the crossing, she stopped walking and kept facing in the same direction.
"Its been a while, Liedaya." A male voice sounded from every direction. It was a long time since she felt this kind of power. She felt the voice all around her like it came out of all four directions, meaning someone was using a telepathic manner to communicate. No one would be able to hear the voice, only she did. The problem was it had been a while since she used telepathy and since she was a half blood, full bloods could reject her mind if she tried to link. Only if the full blood was stronger though and did not allow it the returning link could be stopped, and half bloods most of the time were weaker so the contact was mostly in full blood control. This time, she was not allowed to link back.
"It certainly has, Faust. What\'s wrong? Afraid you can\'t handle me alone?" The blonde questioned with a small sly smug. When a demon refused to accept the other linking back, it was often because that person wanted others to hear what there was said from that person too. Or to keep their location hidden, because with only half a link its almost impossible to trace.
"I\'m sure there are so many more who want to hear your excuse for being so late. You missed your curfew, Day(Die), and need to be punished." The male voice said with obvious amusement, what kind of punishment was this male thinking of?
"Down boy, keep your hormones in the bag. And since when do you give out the orders, Faust? I remember you to be a mere lap dog of your father not too long ago." Liedaya spoke keeping a strain on her voice, she could feel Emerald softly shift in her arms of discomfort. Remembering she had something of value with her, she had to keep it short.
"You need to remember who your superiors are, half blood! Even you must know my father is highly expected to listen to this, too." The male said, thinking he was smart.
"I\'m, counting on it." The female said with a lowered voice as she was positive every demon in this building now knew of her returning. A one side linked telepathic conversation can be picked up by anyone powerful enough. Not feeling the need to stay for this chitchat any longer she resumed her stroll through the hall heading for the elevator. But the contact remained.
"Talking about \'lapdogs\', who is your new toy? She looks so... tasty." Faust said with a snicker at the end. He knew how to push Liedaya\'s buttons. But she was almost there.
"One finger on her and I\'ll be sure to bite it off and shove it down your throat until you vomit fingernails and go crying to your daddy to scare away the boogieman. Oh wait, he is. Or was I wrong about the fact that I heard, him not sending a few people when you were ambushed in a life threatening situation?" The elevator doors opened and Liedaya stepped inside.
"I\'ll get you for this Vour, mark my words. You\'ll wish you\'d never came back when I\'m done with you." Faust said snappy and pissed. Oh the blonde sure knew how to push his buttons also.
"Don\'t worry, anytime Headem, I\'ll put you in my agenda. Anytime." And as the doors closed Liedaya used her last remaining bits of strength to close her mind and block out the telepathic link. Her legs felt like they were going to give out, and Emerald seemed to feel more heavy because of the lack of strength.
\'Almost there..\' she thought while she kept her calm attitude but felt her arms and legs burning. The elevator started to move upwards with high speed and in les then fifteen seconds they were on the one hundred and seventh floor. The fifty-seven upper floors were apartments for inhabitants who chose to stay the night, or simply lived here. How higher your floor was, how more luxurious your condo was. It was also a way of ranking, not that Liedaya was placed so high because of her status, no then she would be much more below. It was more of a different matter. Of course people spoke shameful words, for a half blood to live in the upper ranked section was outrageous! But it was the leader\'s will, and what he wants, shall happen. As the elevator doors slide open again, the blonde had to drag herself forwards to keep moving. It had been long since she felt this weak. Finally, she could see the place her room had always been. That one place of refuge in which she could just, feel at ease.
When she reached the door, she put the tips of her fingers on the door handle. Which activated an device. Liedaya moved her head in frond of the see-hole in the door, staring inside the small round glass with her right eye. The door unlocked, and slowly swung open for her. The room was kept dark, but was lightened up by the whole side wall to be made out of see through glass, so you could watch over the whole city of Manhattan.
Liedaya almost fell inside the room as she caught herself and moved on towards the next room through a bow in the wall, the door closed itself automatically. Revealing a large bedroom with a huge bed against the glass wall so that you could stare outside at night. Covered in fine wine red silk sheets, a king sized bed and six fluffy pillows. The interior was modern black, with a mixture of red. A large Wardrobe was placed against the wall with a big body sized mirror next to it. On the black or red walls hang all kinds of weaponry, from hand to shot guns, and from smaller knifes to long battle swords and blades. Inside the wall that separated the bedroom from the living room, an aqua blue aquarium was placed in a straight line, going on at the other side of the bow but also in many other various places of the wall the tank went on surrounding the rooms with fish. Though it did not contain innocent tropical swimmers. Moray eels, Stonefish, Scorpionfish, Lionfish and many several Japanese carps contained the long tank. But also the famous Piranhas did not miss, adding it with one large Barracuda that often hid somewhere in the back in a darker corner, if that fit.
The blonde quickly moved to the bed and lied the brunette down, walking to the other side of the room she threw open one of the cupboards and almost blindly took out some object. Assuming it was the right thing she walked back to the bed with a clattering sound in her hand. Chains. With a good jump she landed with her feet on the bed, Emerald still sleeping in the middle of her legs. Liedaya lowered through her legs as she turned and put Emerald\'s ankle inside the chain\'s lock. Connecting the end to the metal bed, nowhere to go.
Taking the small key to unlock the chains on a silver string, and hanging it around her neck. Liedaya turned back to face her sleeping beauty, oh so calm and unaware on her red silk bed. Her fine brown hair laid out as a curtain of matching silk, entwining the warmth together, reminding you of the ending of a warm autumn day at sunset. Cheeks slightly flushed, the colour of red fallen leaves or the solar horizon far away in the sky. The demon slightly touched the girl\'s face, feeling how soft her skin was. Liedaya moved her face up, almost lovingly letting her eyes trail pass Emerald\'s form as her own cheek just didn\'t touch the brunette. Like a ghost, hovering over her form. Her warm breath falling onto her, like toxic air suffocating in your sleep. Her hand trailing down pass Emerald\'s arm to touch her hand and fingers, softly scratching the brunette with her filthy black nails. Could she be wrong? Last time she felt like this... she was. Could this female be her true soul mate? And if she was, how could that be? A half demon was only to feel this kind of attraction towards one person alone. She was tired, and her hunger was becoming a gnawing, biting demand. Much as she shared the sentiment to brutally destroy any who dared to threaten Emerald she could not allow this challenge to stand. Liedaya moved her face forward so that she faced the other female, her lips so close to that other pair... her heartbeat pounding in her throat, she could feel her fangs twitch to bite into that sensitive flesh, her nails started to slowly length up. Like it was boiling up inside, she had to... she had to... she had to!
"Good evening, Liedaya." The voice was pleasant, cultured, even hypnotic. Liedaya\'s eyes widened in less than a second in a shocked state. How could she have missed him coming in? Slowly, Liedaya backed away from her treasure as her heartbeat was as good as gone. Aware from whom had just entered her room, or already stood there for who knows how long. Carefully Liedaya got of the bed, and kept her head low as she turned around. Feeling the tensed air filling the room, it wasn\'t of her best interest to breath it.
"Good evening to you too, Samael." The blonde looked up to stare right into the deepest voids you\'d ever find. The strongest demon alive. Samael Headem.
A bitter smile curved his sensual mouth, touching it with cruelty. His bulging, sinewy muscles rippled. He tossed back his thick, jet-black, shoulder-length hair. His face became as harsh and merciless as he was. His pale eyes, which easily drew mortals, held them, entranced them, became the eyes of death, the silver slash of cold steel. Not even giving away a hint of horror those eyes had seen, until it was to late. His patience was that of the earth itself, his stillness that of the mountains. Muscles rippling like steel beneath an elegant silk shirt. His status great as he was a tall man, broad shoulders and arrogance lingered over him, silently.
His eyes briefly left Liedaya\'s to none shamefully scroll over her filthy and weakened body, when they set back eye to eye, he slightly smirked.
"You look terrible." He said, with a certain charm. His voice dropped an octave lower. Liedaya tried her best, and retrieved her rebellious posture. She gave a slight frown as she sniffed and gazed her eyes away. Even though this man was powerful and the big boss... that didn\'t mean Liedaya would let him just walk over her.
"Thank you. And, you\'re still insolent." The blonde said, keeping her voice down, being arrogant but not crossing the line. As she knew how far she could go. A soft laugh came from the other male\'s mouth.
"Is that how you remember me after fourteen years?" Samael said with a slight lifting of his broad shoulders. Liedaya\'s eyes returned to him.
"How else? It\'s not like you\'d change if I\'d suddenly disappear. And I was right, as usual." The female demon said crossing her arms across her chest. The male smirked as he walked closer towards the blonde, who did not react. His lower chest touching Liedaya\'s still crossed arms, his status towering high above the blonde. In total, he was almost three and a half heads taller than the female. And for a girl, Liedaya was a little taller than average. He gave a little pressure, making the female shift her leg backwards feeling the side of the bed blocking her way out. His hand suddenly sliding pass her cheek, who knows how fast and unnoticed it got to that height.
"Don\'t touch me." The blonde demon snapped in more than an evil tone, defensive but hostile in a hollow sound. As if computer editing was used to change her vocal tone into something more metallic, a slight spark of her true voice. Often used as a warning against other demons to back off, sometimes using the power of the voice as a mere bluff. The great lord let his long sharp nails softly trail pass the side of her neckline.
"Don\'t be so cold, and since when don\'t you like it... when I touch you?" After he said that, everything went faster than the blink of an eye. Liedaya had raised her hand and dug her nails into Samael\'s hand, not getting the change to penetrate further then the upper layer of his skin as he spun around her pulling that same hand of hers along. Holding her arm in a painful lock on Liedaya\'s back and Samael\'s other hand placed on her lower abdomen. The blonde breathed harsh as she tried to mask the pain she felt in her right arm, his grip was so strong, and she was so weak. Even trying to resist, wasn\'t possible. His face trailing pass hers as he smelled her scent, and then smirked again.
"Even though you\'re past being skinny and reek of human, your attitude still hasn\'t changed." The male demon\'s eyes trailed from the blonde, towards the bed. There, his eyes met with the beautiful brunette, which he could observe quite nicely.
"Well well, what have we got here... no wonder you reek of human, I\'ve seen many interesting humans, its intriguing none the less." His smile was cruel and slightly mocking. His voice was playing a game, his entire being, was playing a game. What he liked to do most, play with people until it was too late. His hand crept underneath the bottom of Liedaya\'s shirt, feeling her ribs covered in flesh. His nails sliding softly over her midsection and making its way up, catching the female in some kind of trans. The blonde felt her subconscious relaxing, unwillingly. The tall man brought his head down, moving his fine lips next to the girl\'s ear with ghostly effects.
"I bet she\'s still, untainted. I bet I could make her cry out my name louder, than she would ever moan out yours." That knocked Liedaya back into reality as she pulled herself free from the lock, twisting a muscle while she did so. Turning around in a spin, her eyes vicious. The black rings around her ice blue irises became more obvious as her pupils decreased and the blue became lighter, almost ghostly white. Though, her arm hang numbly next to her body.
"Get out!" She growled in a metallic demonic voice, her nails stood out and her fangs long as she was ready to charge. Knowing she wouldn\'t stand a chance if she did. Samael, on the other hand, just smirked and stared at her. Like he waited for something, like a timer ran out.
Liedaya\'s power slipped, and this time slowly lost consciousness as she dropped to the floor. The male looked down at his feet as the girl laid defenceless to his mercy. But instead of brutally punishing her he stepped over her and put his attention to the other female. Softly grabbing a small lock of her hair and feeling the strings between his fingertips, he grinned, baring one fang over his lip.
"Let the game begin." He stood up again and straightened his back, turning around and walking towards a solid wall. Walking straight through it, and not even looking back as he began to plot his next thing to do.

Created.
