Synn laughed quietly again. "Just try to leave the ship in one piece Captain."

Morgan's tongue poked out from under his teeth as he gave a Chesire cat grin. "All I can promise is that we'll leave your quarters alone..."

He leaned closer to Dijana to add, "He has them password protected, y'see..."

"Password protected, eh?" she teased back with a soft giggle. Her steps drew her closer to him as he slipped an arm companionably around her waist.

"Oh, aye, he seems to think I'm going to wander in when he's doing something... awkward..."

Dijana purred. "Yes, we wouldn't want that now, would we?" Her eyes closed and she stretched lightly as she breathed in the night air. It never failed to amaze her how the city looked at after the day was done. She wanted to compare it to the cities of New York or Los Angeles on Earth, but she preferred Ra'nakala over them. The citizens were not quite as crazy, despite their appearance.

"So," she started as she glanced up at him, falling into step beside him. "The life of a tradesman... exciting at times, no?"

Morgan looked down at her with a grin. "Oh, even more than you would think. Especially with me around." He glanced up and down the street as if judging his time. "I've got it in good with the Drakon'si who owns the spaceport, so it's not too long a walk to my ship." Turning his gaze back don toward her, he teased his senses again. "Just long enough to enjoy..."

She felt his eyes pass over her and smiled. She had to admit he was good. Normally, she hated the men she crossed paths with at the bars she stopped at. Something about their pick up lines always made her want to lay them out instead of just... laying them. But this one... There was something different about him. He had managed to pick her up with hardly an effort which impressed her. Something not often done. She wondered what this instant reaction would cost her in the end as she turned her smile up at him again.

"I'm no stranger to long walks if needed. Besides," she added slyly. "I am enjoying the company this evening." She could not have been closer to the truth as she thought over her other options for the evening. She realized had he not been as smooth as he was, she would most likely have stayed there till the day came, leaving only to begin the search for the criminal her note had been about. As if to reinforce her thought, she ran a manicured fingernail along the length of his arm with a tempting look.

"Captain... are we needing anything before we reach your ship?"

Morgan's eyes closed to her touch briefly as he tilted his head a bit closer to breathe in the scent of her. "Nay, not for me, lass. I tend to be prepared." Feeling his control returning to him, he gave her a wink. "Unless you want anything." He arched an eyebrow at her when his acute hearing caught the soft sound of her laughter.

"Nay for me, Captain." She gave a small toss of her hair and ran a hand delicately over the side of her shapely body. "I got all I need right here."

Morgan swallowed hard at the response his body had to her, suddenly realizing he should have worn pants that were a bit less snug in fit. Of all the others he had ever met and picked up, she was, by far, the most exotic. He was thankful when he looked up ahead to see his ship. He chanced his own reaction again when he placed his hand flat against the small of her back. His skin tingled against hers and his pulse raced.

"Here we are," he told her with a barely controlled tone.

Dijana allowed her gaze to sweep over the length of Morgan's sleek ship. It was not very big compared to most cargo vessels, but she supposed for "traders", he and his shipmate would not need anything extremely extravagant. She gave a quick nod of her head and detached herself from him just long enough to stroll seductively on ahead. When she was a few steps away she turned back to face him, a sly twinkle in her coal black eyes.

"Coming, Captain? Or shall the party start without you?"

A/N Yes, this chapter is smaller, only because I wanted to make the next one better.
