Prologue
Jere
"YUKI!" Jere screamed through the mass of bodies that moved fluidly in a dance deadlier that any other. "YUKI! The flank!, Cover the left flank!" Sweat rolled down his thick frame, his entire body shuddering with adreneline. At six foot two, Jere was taller than most other men, long soft blond har rolled down his back, almosr to his thighs in a thin ponytail. As he spied his childhood friend Yuki, he was reminded of the mans apalling size and strength. Yuki was nearly seven feet tall, and thick, without an ounce of fat. arms as big a trees sprouted from wide soulders. meaty fingers were wrapped around a massive battleaxe, blood shimmering on the cresent blades. The thick,coarse black hair that covered chin, arms and chest gave Yuki the impression of a great black bear.
Sliding his longsword from its scabbard with practiced ease, Jere broke into a run toward his friend. Shouting wordlessly, he slammed into a goblin, with long spindly arms and gray-green skin. Thick rams horns sprouted out if its scalp, and its fingers ended in sharp bone. The goblin pulled its arm back to slash at Jeres face, but it found that someone had sliced open its belly. Entrails sliding out of the gory wound, the doomed creature fell to its knees and desperatley tried to scoop its guts back inside. Jere wiped his blade on the creatures leather jerkin and sprinted closer to his friend.
