A Most Embarrassing Moment

Well, no one told us to back off and that we were terrible, so we guessed we could go on.

Once again, we mean no harm, and we hope you can view this in a more distant, amused eye.

Thank you for your time, enjoy.

Chapter II: A Most Embarrassing Moment
*************************************

A certain amount of those incidents had happened in a swimming pool or beach. I was a few years older, I guess, because I began getting bored with ‘Moby Dick’. A friend of Aunt G said it was amazing, because she hadn’t started reading it until she was in college. Out of sheer politeness, I refrained myself from telling her that wherever she was studying and/or going to school, they were training smart and capable of intellectual working people to the state of primal instincts, because that was just stupid. Not with so many words, but I believe the idea is perceived.

By the way, she was also a witness to my apparent embarrassing moments at the pool. I observed how D looked at the other women and how G was being looked at. They must have misunderstood my horror for amazement. Then again, maybe they were only halfway wrong. Yes, I was amazed, but more of how such fascination could appear on my brother’s face, so I stared and hoped to find an answer. I stared at G to understand the other men’s fascination, because I wanted to understand, because that was what men do, and I was always told I was going to be a handsome man.

The next summer or so, we went to visit Aunt H in Greece. She picked us in Athens and we took the faerie boat to Skiathos. There were beaches along the coast, and everyone was worried because I was ill last time I was at the beach. First they thought I was seasick, but then they concluded it might have been the crowd to the heavy sun. I had an upset stomach, rarely ate, and had, for a change, actually made a new friend in a holiday; unfortunately, that friend wasn’t human nor living, and was an international utility for depositing; I named my new friend Fred, because I spent so much time with him, regardless of the fact that he was 1) genderless and 2) a toilet.

The reason why I was suddenly attacked by a bout of stomach aches was the revolting sight of those very women in the state of undress. It is hard to understand, it is harder to even imagine, it is even more of a challenge to comprehend tat such an act can exist at the sight of a woman, or more than one, that is supposed to be the very image of beauty.
I saw how a young… lady… removed her shirt at the beach. She exposed her skin, bronze skin, and we were graced with the sight of two sets of ribs. The sight was… revolting to say the least. I saw how each and every bone stuck out, like she was dying of hunger… her collar bone literally digging out of her skin, her clamming fingers folding her shirt, the bones on her knees popping out, her hip bones jutting out, her spine, as she turned around to pick up something on the floor, begging for escape from their organic prison… she was, for a lack of better words, repulsive. It was like looking at the plastic skeleton in biology class, only with a little more skin.
I saw another talking to my brother; she had pretty eyes, but they were cancelled out by the same state of starvation I found on the previous girls. All of them looked like my cousins; man boobs, bony, conditioned for the clothing they were wearing and down right frightening.

Try all I might, I just could not understand why anyone could be so attracted to those stumbling piles of calcium and marrow. And every one was, come to think of it, always curious to my choice of friends and objects of affection.
