Case two: Creatures of the night. Part two.
In Lex Domingo, there are only ten neutral places where humans and non-humans could stand under the same roof without the fear of one or the other killing them. But in the spirit of neutrality and keeping peace among the species, there were certain rules that must be abide while being in one of these places.
Rule 1. No weapons, real or fake, are to be left at the door.
Rule 2. No name-calling or insulting a member of other species.
Rule 3. Keep the animosity outside.
As a well known demon killer/Supernatural detective, Sasha knew by strolling into a hole-in-the wall diner, a neutral place and home to the best cherry pie in the whole city, that all eyes would be on him. Even as he removed his blue camouflage bucket hat and dark shades and was padded down by a Caym demon that took on the form of a heavyset store-guard in a wrinkled kaki uniform.
A lot of them gasped as he took out a pistol from a inner coat pocket and weren’t that much claimer when he placed it in the hands of the Caym and placed just only hat back on and hanged the glasses from a loosed chained necklace as he walked to an empty booth that lined against the glass window of the diner.
Slowly, one by one, the patrons were moving their eyes from the blue-eyed man and resumed eating their lunch and continue on their conversations before Rochelle arrived.
A human waitress, a brunette that has the bad habit of popping her gum, walked up to Sasha’s table with the intent of taking down his order.
“Not yet. I’m waiting on my date to show up.” He didn’t spare the woman a glance as one hand idly played with the pepper shaker.
She just scoffed at the man’s rudeness and left with a sneered ’Whatever’. Said rude man just turned over a black ashtray and lit up a Newport cigarette.
Sasha didn’t have to wait for his ’date’ to make an appearance of his own. But since he was a neutral man, Rodney didn’t had to be padded down and was allowed to freely strolled on till he reached the detective’s booth.
“Rochelle, Rochelle my belle.” The dark-skinned man smiled as he slide onto the plastic seat and gracefully snatched the whiter skinned man’s cigarette and took a few drags of it.
“I have a need for your skills, Roddy.” Sasha fling the same manila folder that he was given just three hours later by a grieving father onto the table and re-took his cigarette for three last puffs and snuffed it out in the black ashtray.
“Vamp attacks. Huh?” The dark-eyed man glanced over the pictures, taking note of the unusual bites on the girls’ body.
“Yup. But I got a list of six known vamps with bite-marks like these. “ The steel haired man placed the small note piece on top of the pictures. “I say that our vamp has a chipped fang on the right side. About half of it was broken off since the puncture hole on the right is more shallow and rough.” He took one of the pictures and used his pinky-finger to point out a slight bruising around that same bite-mark.
“Here, I think that the guy was trying to put more pressure to draw more blood.”
Rodney nodded in agreement and took up the small list of names to have a small look see.
“Your top three have to be crossed out.”
“Why?”
He pointed at one of the names, “This one is starving to death in the bottom of the sea from accidentally killing a shape shifter’s baby girl.” Then he moved down. “The last two were freshly stake not three months apart last year by a slayer.”
Sasha leaned back, rubbing his bottom lip in thought. “And the last three?”
“One of them could be but I don’t see them attacking only teenage girls. I don’t know any bloodsucker that discriminates their food. Know what I mean?” He tossed the note back on the table and order a coke and small fries when the gum-popper came back around, still as snotty as ever though.
“Vamps trade stories among each other all the time right?” The steel blue-eyes man thought out loud.
“Yeah, but the real question is where are you getting your hands on one that’s willing to let you, a Rochelle, get near enough to ask questions? Without snapping your little neck first?” The dark skinned man’s hands toyed with the manila folder, for out of just needing something to do.
Since the detective wasn’t spouting out any ideas on the matter, Rodney offered one of his own. A risky one, even if the man sitting across from him wasn’t a Rochelle. The man was still human and sending a human into an area of a large gathering of Vampires was like sending a zebra into a den of hungry lions.
“You could always go this Vamp Club called, ‘The Coven.’” The steel blue eyes looked up at him confused and silently asking was he out of his mind.
“Humans are allowed in, if they’re looking to becoming a vampire themselves. Just disguise yourself and don’t start a fight.”
The waitress all but dumped the small basket of fries on the table and slammed the check on the table before walking away, popping her gum as she walked.
Sasha gave a small mischievous smile before snatching a fry and told the man thanks for his help before leaving the diner, with gun in his pocket and folder in hand.

The Club setting was like most clubs were, dark with different color strobe lights going off and on, flashing on the dancing clubbers on the dance floor as they danced either with partners or by themselves . This one though had black-barred cages in random places of the club with very scantly -clad leather clothed people with their wrists and necks chained to the bars of the cages.
These were humans bought to be entrainment and food for later on for the highest bid. But since Sasha isn’t here to make trouble, he overlooked this breach of conduct on the club owner’s part and continue on his track to the bar area of the club, hating the fact that he was wearing suffocating leather pants and sparkling blue corset.
Oh, Sang Ki was a kinky little bastard.
He wore a short bowl cut black wig and vibrate green contacts with globs of sparking silver eye paint and red lipstick to make his otherwise thin and pale lips look more full and luscious.
Hopefully, he would snagged himself a vampire that knew the one he wanted before he died from lack of air or loosing any type of feeling in his lower body.
God!
Sure, Rochelle was a skinny man with lean sinewy muscles but this is too fucking ridiculous!
He ordered some water which earned him a glared from the bar tender. Not his fault since the little water demon refused to give him any money.
“Thanks.” He smiled warmly at the vamp who just glare in return before going over to the far left to take a couple’s drink order.
“You look good enough to eat.” A sensual husky voice whispered in the man’s ring filled ear as roaming hands reached around his waist to briefly brush against him between his legs.
Sasha tried so hard not to roll his eyes at the vampire’s come-on and tried to pretend to have some interest in the un-dead man.
“How about I let you have a taste in a more private area.” He leaned back to whisper the cold pale ear and licked along the shell, earning a deep low growl from his captive prey.
The poor vampire nodded as he wrapped his arms around the constricted waist and almost dragged the disguised detective towards a hidden area of the club. But they haven’t gone far before other one, a tall broad vampire with longish layered cherry red hair and dark tribal tattoos that swirled under his golden amber eyes and traveled back into his hair, stop them and ordered that the smaller green-haired vampire to find another partner. That this little human was his.
What the fuck?
The other vampire was more pissed then confused by the sudden order and growled that Sasha was his and that ‘Cherry’ go and get his own.
Like a blur, the amber-eyed vampire was behind the other and ripped the man’s arms off from around the settled human and tossed the vampire to the side to nurse his sore arms and sulk.
“Unless you really want to fight over a mere human, go find your own meal somewhere else.” He warned at the pouting creature who took heed of the warning and walked off.
Well, Sasha still had a vampire and it didn’t really matter which one, now does it?
“I have been watching since you staggered into this place.” The redheaded vampire stalked the still human pray like a panther with his golden eyes watching the weaker being.
“And I suppose to be in awe of that?” With feigned indifference while the vampire moved in closer, wrapping one arm around the confined waist and settling on a leather-clad cheek.
He pulled Sasha closer and took a long sniff of his neck before taking a long lick of the bared flesh.
“Little one, you have no idea of how in awe you’re suppose to be.” The vampire husky voice purred in the ring-filled ear. He moved his lips back to the front and entrapped the red painted lips in a ravaging kiss.
Hook, line and sinker!
