Chapter 2: The Flight


It didn't take Samuel long to convince my dad to let him take me home. My dad gave in when my mom gave him the look. My dad and Samuel had met before but my dad didnt know him completely. So when I was finished congradulating my friends and vice versa, Samuel and I left for my house. It was pretty quiet except for me telling him the directions to my house.
When we arrived in front of my house Samuel quickly got out and opened the door for me and walked me to the door, we stood on the porch for a minute and Samuel lifted my face up to look at him and for a moment I just stood there, then Samuel spoke up and asked me if I would like to go to dinner with him tomorrow night at 7:30 p.m to one of the best Italian restaurants in downtown called the "Exotic Side of Italy" I agreed to go with him and he leaned forward and kissed me softly. After we parted he gave me a big hug and a few more kisses before I went inside. As soon as I had got up to my room my phone rang, I picked it up, it was Lauren and Jandy, they called on 3-way to let me know what had just happened to them.
Lauren said that Jon had asked her out to dinner tomorrow night at 6:00 p.m. and that he was taking her to one of the other best French restaurants in downtown OKC called the "French Rivera." Jandy said that the same thing happened to her, but Shawn was taking her to the restaurant called "A Little Taste of Paris" at 7:00 p.m. Then I quickly told them of what happened to me and where Samuel was taking me and what time he was picking me up at then we said our good-byes and good-nights and hung up.
The next day at around noon I called Lauren to see if she wanted to go somewhere with me so we talked about it and settled on going to the mall. Before we hung up Lauren told me she would call Jandy to see if she wanted to go and hung up. 15 minutes later I arrived at the mall to see none other than Lauren and Jandy waiting for me at the entrance.
By the time we were done shopping it was already 4:00 in the afternoon, so we said that we should get going because it was almost time for our dates we then said our good-byes and went home to get ready, because after all we had to look sexy for our dates.
At around 7:25 p.m. Samuel pulled up in my driveway and made his way to my front door. I was wearing a black and red ankle high dress with a slit along the right side that came up to mid-thigh, a shawl, and a pair of matching black high heeled shoes. When we arrived at the restaurant the waiter escorted us to a reserved area of the restaurant and then to a private room. Inside the room there was a dining table in the middle of the room, and against one wall there was a small couch that was surrounded by many different kinds of plants.
There was also a bay window overlooking the Bricktown canal and the walkway. He then took our orders and what we wanted to drink and left the room. When he had finally left the room, Samuel commented on how beautiful I looked and handed me a bouquet of a dozen, long stem, blood red roses. I blushed slightly and replied with a hug, a few kisses, and a thank you. Shortly afterwards our Calamari and bread arrived as well as a pepsi for me and white wine for him, followed soon by my Manicotti and his Spaghetti, we ate and talked about ourselves and got to know each other even more than before.
When we finished eating we left and headed for my house. Meanwhile---Lauren and Jon were just finishing their dinner at the "French Riviera" and on their way to Lauren's house so that Lauren's parents could get to know Jon a little better. Meanwhile---Jandy and Shawn had just finished their dinner and they were on their way to Jandy's house so that Jandy's mom could get to know Shawn a little better, cause after all Lauren and Jandy were going on a 2 week cruise with someone they didn't know too much about.
So with that in mind they figured it would be best to get more acquainted with each others families. Meanwhile---Samuel and I, pulled up in the driveway of my house and I thanked him for a lovely evening and asked him if he would like to come inside for a cup of coffee or something, he said he would like to but he couldn't, because he really needed to get back to post and pack his things for the cruise. I then asked him when I'd get to meet his parents, and he promised that it'd be as soon as possible. I unbuckled my seatbelt and climbed onto his lap and smiled at him. He then wrapped his strong arms around my tiny waist and smiled back.
He then stared at me intently. He lifted my chin with his hand and tilted my face towards his capturing my lips in a kiss. Breaking our kiss we got out and started to walk towards my front door, hand in hand, with our fingers interlaced. Before going inside I turned around leaned forward and kissed him again, this time deepening the kiss as he ran his hands through my hair.
I then decided to let my tongue explore his mouth some and Samuel, with great delight returned the favor. Once our kiss was broken I went inside and watched him take off down the street. As I went to my room to get ready for bed I could still feel his sweet, tender lips on mine, and with that last thought I went to bed to dream about him. The next day our flight was to leave for Ft. Lauderdale, Florida at exactly 10:00 a.m. At around 9:55 a.m. May 23rd, Lauren, Jandy, and I, along with Samuel, Jon, and Shawn boarded our plane. It would take approximately 4-5 maybe even 6 hours to reach our destination. As I boarded the plane I thought to myself that I would be able to spend 2 whole weeks alone with Samuel (May 23rd-June 6th).
I made sure I had brought my cd's and my cd player along with my Gameboy Advanced and some games and a few books. Shawn had brought all his homework with him, except for Samuel since he's in the army...and Jon. Samuel just brought a portable dvd player and a game boy. Just as soon as we got settled in the stewardess announced over the P.A. system that we were to put all elecronic devices away and to buckle our seat belts. Samuel pulled out his batman handbook and began reading for a while. I had noticed that Shawn took out a pad of paper and started to work on something. Jon took out a magazine and read that.
Lauren and Jandy had started to chat endlesly and kept looking mine and Samuels's way smiling. About 30 minutes later the stewardess came and informed us that they would soon be showing "Batman Begins" and the "Phantom Of The Opera." About a half hour or so into the first movie they came around and passed out different snacks and drinks for us. When both movies were over it was about 6:00 p.m. The stewardess came and announced that dinner would soon be served. When I was finished with my dinner I decided to turn in for the night. A couple of minutes later the stewardess came around with blankets and handed one to Samuel and the others then asked him if the young lady next to him, which was me of course, would like a blanket. The look in her eyes obviously told him that she liked him. He rolled his eyes and nodded his head taking the blanket from her.
She gave him another blanket, and before she left she said that it was kind of him to bring his friend along with him to Ft. Lauderdale. When she had said that he looked at her with a surprised expression on his face and stated that I just wasn't his friend but his "girlfriend" soon-to-be "fiance" which was true. When she heard this she had thought for sure that it was indeed just his friend, but was mad too because she wondered why such a gorgeous guy like him would choose such a young looking girl like me to be his girlfriend. She was also glad for him too that he was getting ready to propose to me; then she left and moved on to the other passengers.
When the stewardess left, Samuel took the blanket and tucked it tightly around my body and kissed me gently on my head. When he had finally decided to go to sleep he slightly reclined the chair enough causing my head to fall onto his chest, he smiled slightly and went to sleep. 2 and a half hours later I awoke, do to turbulance, to something warm feeling against my face and the sound of a rapidly beating heartbeat. When I lifted up my head I noticed that I had been laying on Samuel's chest the whole time. I smiled slightly and decided to do some more of my homework.
A couple of minutes later Samuel awoke to the fact that he was no longer feeling the warmth of my head against his chest. At around 10:00 p.m. we reached Ft. Lauderdale, as soon as the others were off the plane we went to baggage claim to get our bags and other things. When we had claimed all of our bags except for one of mine, we waited 10 more minutes to see if it would come around. By the time 10 minutes were up it hadn't come around so we reported it not there and told them to send it back to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma were my mom was to pick it up. When we checked into the Marriot hotel where we were staying for the night, it was already 11:00 p.m. so we went up to our rooms and went to sleep.
The next morning March 11th at approximately 9:30 a.m. we got up showered and gathered our things to meet the others at a local Denny's for breakfast and then be on our way to the docks for the cruise. At breakfast the girls and I ordered the 2 egg breakfast with toast, hashbrowns, and a choice of sausage and/or bacon. The guys on the other hand ordered the Grand Slam with 2 pancakes, 2 eggs, toast, and 2 strips of bacon. While we were eating I told Lauren and Jandy about what had happened on the flight over here and they just looked at me with a little smile plastered on their faces. When we were done eating it was about 10:30 a.m., the guys paid for our breakfast and we headed for the docks. The time on our cruise tickets said that the ship was to leave at 11:00 a.m. sharp.
