||The Dream Catcher|| Pt2
She slept now. Her burgundy hair spread out all over the bed and her pillow as she curled among her blankets tightly. Her eyes closed gently and her ruby red lips parted only slightly, giving her a 'sleeping beauty' look to her. Her room, though, stayed dark and could be thought of as a cage for this beautiful dove; Bars on the windows, dark purple walls with matching covers and draperies. Dolls and dark furniture filled the room, casting shadows in the darkness and causing the room to come alive with the demented stare of the doll's eyes that seemed t follow those who entered the room.
The door opened silently and a flickering light poured into the room. Zoe' stood in the doorway, still in her nightgown and holding a candle up for her light. With her eyes shadowed and her lips trembling, she entered the room silently, revealing Mr. Lorence' behind her, holding a knife to her back. A tear slipped down Zoe's rosy cheek as she looked upon the sleeping Lithy. She couldn’t bare the thought of her father murdering her, not ever, especially while she was in the room. Zoe's mouth opened slightly, as though she was trying to let words escape her lips, but nothing came until Mr. Lorence' pushed Zoe' over and too the floor, causing her to scream out in terror. Lithy instantly jumped up, startled and turned onto her back to find her father looming over her, arms above his head and holding a knife to strike down upon her. Lithy's eyes widened in horror as she looked upon her father's dark figure in front of her, her mouth opened ever so slightly, letting out a silent scream.
"No!" Zoe' cried out as Mr. Lorence' brought down the knife and Lithy closed her eyes tightly, awaiting the deadly impact, but to her surprise, all she heard was the sound of the knife colliding with metal. Her eyes instantly opened, curiosity was overwhelming her even at the very sight of death. There stood Lord Cain before her, holding his black cane in front of him, holding Mr. Lorence's knife from his body, and Lithy's. Her eyes widened slightly, this man had saved her life...for now.
"Move, Hargreaves! I must get rid of her once and for all!! She curses my family name!"
"You've gone mad! She has done nothing of the sort!"
"She's a span of Satan and must be destroyed at once!"
"I Doubt this child has anything to do with Satan besides her fathers insanity!"
Lithy's eyes widened slightly as this small battle raged on. No one has ever stood up for her in such a way, not even Zoe'. Lithy's cold Demeter was slowly washing away by the kindness of her beautiful friend Zoe' and now, even more so, by this handsome young Earl, Cain Hargreaves.
Zoe' then quickly took action and rushed to Lithy's side, picking her up and racing for the door.
"Lord!" Lithy cried as she looked up to Cain, watching him push her father back and follow them both.
"My Carriage is waiting with Riff! Go to him! Now!" Cain called as he stopped at the front door while Zoe' rushed down the front steps, still with Lithy in her arms. Lithy turned her gaze to the carriage as a young man stepped out with blue-ish-white Hair and blue eyes. He was just as beautiful as Cain, causing Zoe' to stop and stare for a moment before he reached his hand for her and she gently placed her hand in his and up they went into the carriage. He helped them both into a seat quickly before rushing out to retrieve lord Cain. Zoe' then began to sob as she hugged Lithy close to her, grief was now able to settle itself into her mind, and oh how painful it was.
"Forgive me, Lithy, oh please forgive me!" She cried out into Lithy's chest as she sobbed, burring her face into her bosom. Lithy only looked down to her, gently holding her and began to pet Zoe's hair sweetly.
"I do not blame you, Zoe' Never blame yourself for one moment longer, you were in danger, and I know I would have done the same in your situation." Lithy replied quietly before, both, Cain and Riff entered the carriage and sat down.
"Well, Hello again." Cain spoke as the carriage began to more.
"H-hello." Lithy stuttered out as she looked down to her feet, holding her hands in her lap neatly. Zoe' stayed silent, smiling and staring over to Riff who was sitting beside Cain.
"Now that were are alone and able to introduce ourselves properly, my name is Cain Hargreaves and this is my butler and good friend, Riff."
"Pleasure, Ladies." Riff replied, bowing his head to Lithy and Zoe'. Zoe's cheeks brightened slightly as Riff spoke. Lithy then giggled almost silently at the look on Zoe's face.
"I'm lithium Lorence', but Lithy is preferred, and this is my very good friend, Zoe'." Lithy replied, smiling ever so slightly at Zoe'.
"Please to meet you both Ms. Lorence'." Cain spoke quietly, as though he was in thought while speaking. Lithy looked up to him, his face was serious, stern, yet relaxed. He was looking down to the floor with his fingers laced together and his hands by his chin. Something was bothering him, and she could tell, it had to deal with her relations with her father.
