Intro
It had been my eighteenth birthday yesterday and my excitement had been rising to its bursting point. My training had come to a close and I was ready to pick a lifetime friend and accomplice.
Like all men on Calyin, I had to undergo extensive Dragonmaster training before I could choose the drake egg that would hatch my life long friend. At the age of eight everyone that is found to be talented enough begins their training in the art and life of a Dragonmaster. I was an exception to this rule, but even though my training started rapidly at an early age, my understanding of the training came more slowly. Since today is the day I pick my drake egg, I started to think about the day my life changed. It all started with the early acceptance into training, and I had come a long way since then.
