Chapter 2

The brunette was half-asleep, laid back in his seat and yawning slightly. His eyes were glazed over, his skirt riding up dangerously high, though it seemed he didn't notice.

"Ah...." Takeo murmured, moaning softly. He was inexperienced at lovemaking, so he felt rather awkward.

"I'm here!" Feria declared behind him as he wrapped his arms around his waist and drew him close.

Grumbling to himelf of the other's lack of modesty, with a hefty blush dusting over his cheeks, Yohji turned his attention fully to the road before them. Indeed, before the setting of the moon they had reached a cavern in the small dwelling of Jamestown. Taking Rizia in his arms after adjusting the younger male's skirt and draping over him a velvet blanket, the blonde rented out a room in one of the smaller inns. He made sure before anything else that Rizia had a place to rest with the utmost of comfort for the few shillings he had reserved for rooming. On the way in Yohji noticed the man behind the counter giving the pair a suspicious look while his female co-worker giggled.

Running callous hands between the milky thighs, cautiously Yamato spread them farther apart whilst deepening the kiss.

Aki let out a sigh of bliss, relief, tugging at Feria's arms to draw him closer. "You had me scared for a moment there."

Rizia clung sleepily to Yohji, purring as he made himself comfortable in the landowner's arms. The brunette had no special inkling towards Yohji; he was just normally affectionate, like his other two friends. When he was placed on the bed, he instinctively clutched the pillow nearest to him, burying his nose in it further.

"Ah...my...my dress..." Takeo whispered, wondering what the older man was going to do.

"Mmm...don't worry about me..." Feria said, a small frown marring his features as he bit his lip. "Aki....I...I need to tell you something..." He couldn't lie to him any longer.

"Uh...Rizia?" Yohji arched an eyebrow, doubtful of how to handle the situation. It took all his might to detach himself from the clinging male, the elder feeling more and more awkward towards the brunette through their trip. Even when extracting the other off his physique things did not fare any better than before, the blonde losing control of the situation and falling onto Rizia. Within the other's clutches, he found it impossible to escape. He wondered if perhaps he could let the situation be.

"Don't fret..." Swiftly, the redhead had it removed and tossed aside carelessly, exploring the rest of Takeo with swollen lips.

"What is it?" Aki blinked, turning to face his lover.

"Eh...?" Opening his eyes, Rizia gasped, pushing Yohji away. "What are you doing..." he asked in a sharp tone, clutching the sheets tighter against his body. "I hope you didn't take me out here to have your way with me..."

Takeo was perfect, physically, like Feria and Rizia. However, he was more modest about it. But now, naked, every curve and perfection could easily be seen and verified.

"I...I'm a witch..." Feria looked down at the grassy ground, wondering what his love's reaction would be.

"I beg your pardon," calmly, the landowner began, "You were the one clinging to me." He scoffed, fixing himself up and heading over to the neighboring bed to plant his belongings. "I would never be interested in you in such a way."

Owning only the mindset of the present and believing they were the only two beings in existence, Yamato, driven by passion, made love to Takeo as if there were no tomorrow.

Aki's eyebrows drew in confusion, boiling anger. "If that's supposed to be a joke, I don't find it the least bit amusing, Ria. After all we had endured the New England, you decide to badger me with horrid recollections of the past, of that horrid plague of a curse...!" With mild disgust, he withdrew from the beauty.

"...." Feria nodded, a few tears collecting in his eyes. "I...I'm sorry...for telling the truth..." Perhaps he should go home; nobody wanted him here. "I'm sorry for lying to you..." With that, he disappeared from the place, his emotions driving him out.

"Whatever..." the brunette huffed, gasping softly as he felt a presence, Feria's presence, disappear. What was happening? He hoped nothing too bad happened between his friend and his lover. Unless...Feria tried to tell him...

"Hnn..." Takeo stretched his limbs after numerous hours of lovemaking, his body tired. He smiled shyly up at Yamato, content to rest his head against the other's chest. He was too exhausted to feel a faint loss.

The beats of Aki's heart seemed to come to a complete halt before starting up again though at a much more rapid pace. "R-Ria?" he gasped, his breath getting clutched in his throat. "Ria!!" He went into shock, searching the enormous fifty acres of land for his beloved but only losing himself in the process, falling helplessly to his knees.

Yohji quirked an eyebrow at the sound made by his room mate, rotating his head to view the peculiar male. "What is it?" He set down the clothes he was unpacking.

Yamato, without another thought, pulled Takeo into a loving embrace before dozing off into deep slumber, murmuring for the other to do the same.

"It's...nothing..." Rizia said, sitting up. He wondered how Aki was taking it; not good, judging by the emotions he was feeling through his link with Feria, the green-haired beauty was heartbroken. Fuck it. And he had to be away.

It was only after he had calmed down from his high that Takeo felt it; that overwhelming emptiness when one of them left for home. His eyes roamed over his beloved; he had to go to Aki. Whispering words of apology, Takeo untangled himself from the other's hold, dressing himself and leaving the room to search for Aki. "Aki?" he found the man outside, in the fields.

"If you say so..." After unpacking entirely, Yohji found the same daze holding Rizia hostage after a good half-hour. His heart swelled with compassion as he reluctantly sat beside the brunette. "You can tell me."

"Where is he?!" Appearing heavily disheveled, eyes adorning bags and blood-rimmed lids, Aki immediately looked up from his position on the ground. Beyond hysterical he had ventured, clutching Takeo mercilessly at the collar of his dress. "Where?!"

"Would you...would you believe me if I told you that me, Feria, and Takeo were witches?" Rizia didn't think so, but he gave the other the benefit of the doubt anyway.

"Calm down, Aki!" Takeo said softly, gently making Aki release him. "Feria simply went home..." he explained. "Would you like me to take you there?" He was certainly risking a lot to ensure his friend's happiness.

Yohji made a "Hmmm"-ing noise, adding to it with, "Well, the possibility does exist...so, aye, I do believe you. Care to enlighten me with further details and what that 'gasp' was for?"

"Please...I beg of you." His volume lowered significantly, marking his feeble state.

"Very well...close your eyes..." As soon as the latter did so, Takeo whispered a soft spell which easily transported them to a place far different than what they knew. This place was a golden field, and on it flowers of different varieties and species grew. In the middle was Feria, dressed in white, lying amidst the flowers and crying.

Rizia arched a delicate eyebrow, but proceeded to tell the details anyway.

As soon as the tender lids of his eyes lifted to take in the new terrain, Aki spotted his lover and rushed over to the weeping being. He dismissed the beauty of the fascinating hybrid realm surrounding him to gather the emerald-haired male's attention. Aki was almost frightened to caress Feria's pale cheeks but did so anyway. "Ria...I sh-should apologize..."

"Ah, what a tangled web ye witches weave." Yohji inwardly chuckled, stretching at the end of the tale. Not at all was he disconcerted by this so-called witch for he possessed a secret himself.

"...You're scared of me..." Feria said softly, small tears in his eyes still as he observed the other's features. He pulled away, shaking his head. "Stay away from me...I don't want to go back ever again!" Takeo gasped and rushed forth to help calm his friend, hugging him briefly. "Feria, don't say such hurtful things to Aki..." he whispered.

"Hmmm...well, not me, anyway, just Feria..." Rizia sighed and shrugged. He had always noticed that Aki had been a bit frightened of witches ever since the so-called "witch hunt", and he wouldn't blame him.

"N-no, that's not true, Ria..." He swallowed the arid lump in his throat, reaching out for his beloved not that it would do him any good. It was probable that Feria would cast himself further away.

"Hm." Yohji leaned back on the bed to ponder. "Witches...They're not nearly as bad as vampires, now are they."

"No, stop lying to me!" Feria screeched, his mood being reflected in the dark clouds that began to cover the once blue sky.

"...I wouldn't know..." Rizia said, blinking. "Why do you ask?"

It was hard to love someone with such powers, decided Aki, his head downcast. It was payback, it seemed, for how he hadn't trusted Feria on his word. "You can take me back now, Takeo..."

"Just wondering is all. They make witches seem like the devil's descendants when truly, none other could be as evil and wretched or diabolical as vampires." He sat up, dangerously close to the neighboring male, "Some witches are quite kind." It would have killed Yohji to compliment another soul otherwise.

Feria gasped as soon as he heard the request, but shut his mouth, deciding to just stay here for the rest of eternity. Takeo bit his lip, looking between the two and sighing. The green-haired boy simply nodded at his friend, indicating that it was alright, even though it broke his heart to say so. After a few minutes, Takeo finally relented and returned with Aki to real time after assuring Feria that he would come and visit with Rizia sometime.

"Hmm...." Rizia made a non-committal sound. "If you say so..." He had to admit, the close distance was making him a bit uncomfortable.

"What am I to do now...?" Aki fell into a heap on the floor as he had earlier when looking for his lover, not prepared to move on.

"Too bad the cavern isn't still open," mused Yohji, hoisting himself up to return to his bed, sliding under the sheets easily. He missed the mass of quilts they issued in inns back in the northern states but down south, all that was issued was perspiration and mosquito bites thus the lame paper-thin sheet of white.

"...I don't know..." Takeo said, sitting down beside him. He didn't think it would be wise to leave Aki alone for now. He just hoped Yamato was still asleep. "I don't want to make you feel guilty, but Feria is really heartbroken that you can't accept him for who he is...he really loves you..."

"Are we going home tomorrow?" the brunette asked from his position, having decided to shed the blankets because of the heat. "I don't like this place very much..."

"I love him too...but I...I....don't feel ready to commit after all this…I mean...he could have told me sooner, right?"

"It's only like this at night. By morning, I'll have you taking back your words in a moment's notice," Yohji assured, turning away from Rizia unintentionally.

"You mean while the witch hunt was going on?" Takeo asked.

"How long are we staying here anyway?" Rizia yawned a bit, groaning as some mosquitoes decided to descend on his flawless skin.

"Before that..." Though still convulsing to an extent, Aki remained calmer than before.

"Only a few days so don't get your panties in a bunch." He shielded himself from the night-feasting insects with the barely-there blanket over his shoulders.

"He was afraid...and would you have believed him? You'd probably have taken him in during the witch hunt..."

"I don't wear panties."

Aki shook his head, denying the truth. "I don't want to think about it..."

Yohji turned to face Rizia again. "Then what do you wear underneath there?" He mumbled to himself, "Probably nothing..."

"Do you want to check?" Rizia giggled.

It was the insane heat, decided Yohji, that was driving him fickle and in a daze. He tossed the plain cloth over him aside and marched over to Rizia, stripping him of his blanket. He traced the curves of the witch's form with his eyes before setting down before him and forcing his legs apart.
