Chapter 2
Chapter 2:
Its now been about a month that we moved into my new house, and theres 3 days until christmas. Im excited about that, but im also upset that dad wont be here to celebrate it with us, like all the other years of my life. I seen that shadow again twice, since the last time at Amber's. Once at my aunt's house and then again at my house. My friends still think im crazy. They think im making it up. No one will believe me, so i just keep things like that to myself from now on. I wouln't dare tell my brother, he would not let me live it down til the day i die. Well back to my story now.
"Watch what your doing!" Shouted my mom at me.
I looked down and seen that i was over flowing my cup of milk.
"Oops, sorry, i was thinking about something" I said, as i cleaned up the milk.
"What were you thinking about? your boyfriendd?" Asked Noah smirking.
"Shut up you retard!" I said as i got up and went into the living room.
When i got into the living room i sat down on the window cil. I took a sip of my milk. Just then my cell phone rang. I picked it up and answered it.
"Hello?" I said
"Hey Britt" Came Jacob's voice.
"Hey, whats up?" I asked.
"Nothing much, im getting ready to go to my Aunt's for christmas, so i wont see you for about a week" He said.
"Aww, im gunna miss you" I said.
"Don't worry, ill be back" He reasurred me.
"Alright" I said smiling.
"Oh, Jensen called me today and he told me that his mom fell on ice this morning, and broke her leg and shes in hospital" He said.
"Oh no, is she alright?" I asked nerously.
"Yeah, she will be fine, just a broken leg and a concussion, no biggie" He said.
"Oh, well that's good" I replyed happily.
"Yeah, so ill talk to you later alright, we are leaving now, love ya" He said.
"Love you too!" I said before he hung up.
I Then hung up my phone, and the dialed Jensen's number.
"Heyy?" Came his voice.
"Hey Jensen, i heard about your mom, is she alright?" I asked.
"Yeah, she will be fine, thank you for calling" He said "But hey, i have to go help her now, ill talk to you later" He added in and hung up.
I hung my phone up and put it into my pocket. I decided to go have a shower. I went into the bathroom. I turned on the water. I took off my clothes and then stepped in.
I washed my hair. As i turned around to rinse out the shampoo, i looked into the mirrior that is hanging in my bathroom and seen that same black figure. I just stared.
"W..What do you want?" I asked, staring at it.
It just stood there. I gulped.
"What do you want?" I asked it again.
Still no answer. Then it went through me once again. I closed my eyes and then looked back into the mirrior. my eyes were pitch black. I stared. Then finally closed my eyes again and opened them and my eyes looked normal again. I felt really weird. It never stayed that long before.
I got out of the tub, dried off and got dressed. I went back into the living room and sat down on the couch.
"Amber called while you were in the bathroom" Said mom, handing me the phone.
"Thanks" I said, taking the phone into the kitchen.
I dialed her number, with my hands shaking.
"SUP BRITT!" Said Amber.
She knew it was me because she has caller ID.
"Hey, not much, i just got outta the bathroom, my mom said you called?" I said.
"Yup, i just wanted to tell you that the gang are all hanging out tonight at my house, since we can't tommorow night since its christmas eve" She replyed.
"Alright, cool, sounds good" I replyed "Ill be over as soon as i can" I added and hung up the phone.

Once i convinced my mom to let me go, and i got all ready, i finally got to Amber's. I opened up the door and walked in.
"Hey Britt!" Said Kory holding a beer.
"Hey guys" I said to everyone.
Everyone had either beers, or smirnoff coolers in their hands.
"Hey Britt, come grab a cooler" Said Amber handing me one.
"Thanks" I said taking it from her.
I sat down beside Hailey and Jensen.
"So your mom is ok now i take it?" I asked him.
"Yup, shes home now and dad's helping her" He said smiling.
"Haha, thats good" I said, taking a sip of my cooler.
By the end of the night everyone was pretty much wasted. I just layed on the floor staring up at the ceiling. Finally, i passed out, along with everyone else.
The next morning was brutal, i woke up with a major headache and i felt sick. I was the only one awake. I got up, and went into the bathroom. I washed off my face and looked up into the mirrior. Once again, i seen the same black figure.
"Please go away" I said looking at it.
It just stayed there looking at me.
"Blast it" I said not looking at the mirrior.
Then i felt my head being forced to look at the mirrior. I closed my eyes.
"Fuck off!" I yelled.
I went back into the living room with the rest of them. I checked my cell phone, it said 3 missed calls. 'shit, probably from my mom' I thought. I was right, 2 of them were from my mom, and the other from my sister.
I called home.
"Britt, why didn't you answer the phone when i called?" Was the first thing i heard when she picked up.
"Mom im sorry, we were having so much fun last night, i just could't get to my phone" I answered.
"Listen, im coming to pick you up now, so be ready when i get there, ill be there in about 20 minutes" She said, and then hung up.
I hung up my phone. Then got dressed and packed my bag up. 'ohh man, i feel like shit' I thought to myself. Finally Jensen and Amber both woke up.
"Morning" I said smiling at them both.
"What time is it?" Asked Amber rubbing her eyes.
"Its almost 2 am" I answered "And my moms on her way over to pick me up now" I added.
"Alright" Said Amber getting up, and starting to pick up beer bottles and cans. I helped.
By the time My mom got to Amber's, we had picked up and got rid of all the evidence of last night's party.
"see you Britt" Said Amber.
"Bye guys, have a good Christmas" I shouted back to them all.
"You too!" I heard out the window.

"Grandma's coming over today for Christmas dinner" Said mom smiling.
I just nodded, and continued opening up gifts.
"Thank you so much! i love it!" Came a shreak from Chloe, holding up a blue silk dress.
She got up and hugged mom and sat beside her.
"What did you get Britt?" Asked Chloe
"I got a playstation 2 and a few games" I said smiling
"What about you Noah?" Asked Chloe.
"I got an xbox and a few games" He said, glaring at me.
"Chloe, your not done, there still more there for you" Said mom looking at her.
She opened it and she also got a new pink tv. She shreaked once again.
"I love it!" She said as she hugged mom, once again.
Me and Noah just looked at eachother and rolled our eyes.
Grandma finally arrived with a hand full of presents.
"Hi grandma!" I said hugging her.
"I remember when you kids were little, it was so easy to buy for you, but now your older and i don't got a clue" She said laughing.
She handed out the presents, and i handed grandma hers too. I opened mine.
"wow, thank you!" I said.
I got a new pair of shoes. I loved them. I tried them on and they fit perfectly.
Finally dinner was ready, and we were all sitting around the table. We talked about old times. And the topic that i did not want to be brought up, finally did come up.
"So when did you guys split up?" Asked grandma.
"About a month ago now" Answered mom.
"Oh, must be hard on you guys then eh?" She asked.
"No, not really, we are fine" I answered, not looking at anyone "Pass me the dressing please" I said, changing the subject.
After dinner, we were all sitting in the living room watching tv. When a warning came on the screen that said: "Snow storm warning, Stay indoors".
"Oh, looks like grandma's staying here for the night then" Said Chloe.
"Oh dear, it looks like i am" Answered grandma smiling.
"Im going to bed" I said rubbing my eyes.
"Night" Said everyone.
It was a long day for me, so i grabbed my christmas stuff, and took it all into my bedroom. I hooked up my playstation and played it for about 10 minutes. I was too tired to play any longer, so i turned it off and fell asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow.
