Blood,Lust & Red Wine

Chapter Two

Audrey awoke from her dreamless sleep to find herself still in the mysterious vampire's arms,now flying high over some mountain tops.She shivered at the intense cold as she watched the breath from her mouth rise in a white puff.She noticed her capture's breath did not do this.

"Nearly there."He told her,his voice as cold as the air.In the distance she could see a large castle.

The castle was like something out of an old horror movie.There were many large towers,one higher than the rest with a single large window facing out into the night.All the lights were on,making Audrey think there was more than just the vampire living there.The actual castle itself was black and cast in large shadows.A large pond was set infront of the castle,the moon casting an eerie glow into the water's depths.

"This,"The vampire began."is my home.And now yours.You will live here for the rest of eternity,doing as I wish.Whatever I wish."He enfised the last part,making the young girl frightened.

The panic was completely worn out of Audrey.She now felt helpless and that all hope was lost.She would never see her family again,her friends,and she would never again be free.Never see sunlight again.Never be able to enjoy the pleasures in life.She was this vampire's slave.His eternal slave.

The castle grew larger and larger,reaching nearly one hundred feet.There had to be nearly ten floors to it.Suddenly,a shred of hope exploded in Audrey's chest.She could run.She saw no barricades,nor a fence surrounding the large castle.Just land.Once they landed she could make a run for it.She had been a track runner before she's gotten into partying and figured she could outrun this creature.Then she'd be free.

"Don't even dare running,"The vampire said,his voice menacing."I am much faster than you are.If I find you trying to escape,which is highly unlikely since there would be nowhere to run,I will be forced to kill you.I cannot be chasing after you all night,silly girl."The tiny bit of hope Audrey had burst.Who was she kidding?She could never outrun a vampire.He could fly and he'd surely catch her.She yet again sank into a pit of dispair.

The vampire flew himself and his new slave into the window of the tallest tower.It was cold and damp in there,making it extremely depressing.Mounds of hay littered the stone floor,making Audrey believe animals slept in here.

"You will stay in here for while,"The vampire told her."until I figure out where else to put you.Don't bother running,it's an eighty foot drop from here.You will surely fall to your death,"He set her down on the cold floor and inhaled her scent deeply."and who would want that to happen to such a pretty face like you."The look in his eyes sickened Audrey.The creature ran the back of his hand along her cheek making her go weak in the knees.She quickly gained her composure and slapped his hand away in disgust.

"Ah,fiesty,"He smiled evily."all the more fun."And with that he walked over to the window so he was just standing on the ledge,the black trench coat he was wearing billowing in the wind.

"Until we meet again,my sweet."He then blew her a kiss and jumped out the window,flying into the night.Audrey was left alone,in the dark,damp tower,depressed and scared.

The blonde suddenly felt very tired.She was having difficulty standing and couldn't seem to keep her eyes open.She fell to the ground in exhuastion and dragged herself to a pile of hay.She laid her head down in the hay and closed her eyes,falling into yet another dreamless sleep.

"Who is she?"

"The master brought her here last night."

"Has the master gotten a new toy?"

"Why didn't he feed on her?"

"I hear she's more than that."

"She sure is attractive."

"Stay away from her,Zedaine,you know the master would slaughter you just for looking at her like that."

Audrey opened her eyes slowly,not sure if she was imagining the voices or not.When her eyes were fully open she screamed and jumped up.There were four people in the small room in the tower.All were dressed oddly.The two women were dressed in plain black dresses that went down to the floor.The black haired one had her hair in pigtail braids and did not look much older than Audrey herself.The other,a red head,had her hair in a bun.The two men had red dress shirts on with black dress pants.The one man had dirty blonde hair cut short and the other,who was looking at Audrey with hungry eyes,had long,dark brown hair.Seeing the look in his eyes,the blonde girl pulled her jacket tighter around her and crossed her arms over her chest.

Audrey noticed the sky outside was bright and the sun was up.She felt relieved.This meant the vampire could not return for her until night.

"Hello,"Greeted the red head in a high pitched,cheery voice."My name's Kira,welcome to Castle Deville."She had a large grin on her face,showing perfectly straight,pearly white teeth.Audrey noticed she had bruises on her neck and what looked like puncture wounds.Then she noticed both the women's necks were like that.

"Um,hello?"Audrey replied uncertain if she could trust these people."Who are you?"

"Well,like I said,I am Kira.And this is Rory,"She pointed to the black haired girl who looked away shyly."this is Dana,"She pointed to the blonde haired man who muttered a 'Hullo'."and this,"Her voice became less cheery."is Zedaine,watch out for him."She added the last bit in a whisper.Zedaine gave Audrey a smirk and continue to look her up and down with hungry eyes."We are the master's slaves.

"Why am I here?"Audrey asked,feeling quite uncomfortable.Her back ached from sleeping on the stone floor.

"The master has been watching you for quite some time."Kira replied in an odd,misty voice.

"Yes,but why?"Audrey demanded.

"You are needed here."Kira again replied in that odd voice.

"Why am I needed here?"Kira went to reply,but she suddenly fell to the floor,screaming an writhing in pain.The other three flinched but did not go to help her."Oh my God!"Audrey screamed,scrambling over to the screaming girl."What the hell is wrong with her?"She tried to touch Kira to calm her down,but it just made her scream even more.

"She shouldn't have tried to disobey orders."Dana told her in the same misty voice.

"What do you mean?"Audrey asked,confused.

"The master ordered us not to speak with his new slave,and she disobeyed him,therefore,she must be punished."Rory answered,pleasure etched in her face as she watched the screaming girl.

"It's best to just ignore it,"Dana told her as the other two nodded and walked over to patches of hay."we must sleep now,for none of us knows when the master shall call on us."They all laid down and closed their eyes,ignoring Kira's screams.

Audrey was confused,but out of fear decided to do as they said.For all she knew one of them could be a vampire,they were all nearly as pale as the vampire.Rory's skin was a pearly white,like a sheet of paper.She had a sneaking suspiscion that Rory was indeed a vampire.

The blonde girl dragged her aching body over to the pile of hay she slept on earlier.The spread it out so she could lay completely on it and closed her eyes.She couldn't remember when Kira's screaming stopped,but somewhere between the time she laid down and sunset,the screaming stopped and she managed to fall into an uneasy sleep.
