Chapter 2
Chapter two.
The next morning I woke up with a dry throat and in Lokto\'s bed. Lokto was no were to be seen. Fuck. I had school. I hated Mondays. But at least there was something good about school. I smiled at that thought.
My brother walked into the room fully dressed and clean. That was a surprise. \"Have a good sleep?\" He said as he sat on my bed doing up the laces on his black combat boots.
\"Yeah actually. Must\'ve been the weed.\" I jumped off the bed and walked to the joining bathroom. I needed a shower.... I smelled.
\"I could tell. You snored like an elephant.\" Lokto looked himself up and down in the mirror and walked out of our room down to the kitchen. Shower ahoy!
It was when we were walking to school when we got this weird paranoid feeling. It wasn\'t the feeling when ghost were watching you, it was the feeling that a certain pink haired, freak was hiding in the bushes around us. My brother and I started walking faster. It wasn\'t nice getting jumped by a pink head freak. They bite, they say weird things, they randomly hump polls and my brother loves him.\"Boo!!\" Said Domingo as he jumped out of the said bush infront of us.
We didn\'t flinch, we just stared. He pouted at our lack of reaction.\"Why aren\'t you guys ever scared when I jump out at you, like I\'ve done so many times?\" He said as he joined walking with us.
\"Because you’re lame.\" Said my brother flatly. I laughed.
\"Ha-ha-ha... very funny. Do you feel fucking intelligent? now? Huh? Do ya\'? Do ya\' feel lucky punk?\" He said getting up into my brothers face. He had a big smile on his face.
\"What did we tell you about watching Clint Eastward movies?\" Lokto said.
\"That they make me angry and I should stop quoting them.\" He said with mock sadness as he stared at the ground.
\"That’s a good boy.\" Said Lokto as he patted Domingo’s head.
\"Kiss.\" Said Domingo. He pulled the big, green, watery puppy dog eyes as he turned his cheek to my evil half. Lokto sighed and then gave in, giving Domingo a little peck on the cheek.
Domingo looked like he had just won the lotto. He smiled brightly and wrapped his arms around my brother’s neck, giving him a big hug.
“Okay... You can stop that now... Domingo if you don\'t let go I\'ll never kiss you ever again.\" The small Espanola pulled back quickly and we continued walking towards the school.
\"Sooo....\" Domingo sighed/said. \"You’re moving up in the world, little Karan.\" He said monitoring to my brothers black jeans that I was wearing. They weren\'t used to me wearing black.
\"Don\'t you know, Domingo? Little Karan here is trying to impress someone today. That’s why he’s wearing tight black jeans.\" My brother had a big cocky grin on his face. I stared at him with shock. I told him that in secrecy. How dare he spread that to Domy? Domy would never shut up about it now.
\"Oh really, Loki.\" His nick name for my brother. \"You mean that tall, handsome, baseball guy that Karan has been crushing on for the last, I don\'t no, year.\" Domy said, poking me in the stomach. I was bright red by now. He was right. I had been crushing on him for the last year. How sads that. I liked a guy who probably wasn\'t gay. But he was just so cool and nice and smart and just.... I don\'t no... Beautiful I guess.
\"Yes little Domy. The exact one. But don\'t you think he looks pretty in my jeans, especially with the white shirt he’s wearing.\" Yes... I was wearing a white shirt. And it looks hot on me too, if I don\'t say so myself.
\"Fuck yeah!\" Domy said excited. \"Fuck. That Tommy guy won’t be able to resist that ass.\" He said as he smacked my ass.
\"Guys... Can you please stop talking about this? Your weirding me out.\" I said. \"I really don\'t like my brother being incestuous towards me in public and his little friend molestering me in public either.\" I said as if I was being serious. I new how to shut them up. I had a little smile on my face that they couldn\'t see and I keep on walking. Didn\'t want to be late.
I was so happy. I had chemistry first period. Which ment Tommy, the guy I like, and me would be sitting together. Like we always do. And we had a science project coming up which ment we would be working together after school. I smiled again and pulled my stuff out of my locker.
Happy, happy days. \"Hey.\" I heard from behind me. Tommy was walking over to me. I took a deep breath and replied.
\"Hi\" I said as I smiled. \"What’s up?\"
\"Nothing much. It’s so good that your here today. I would hate to have to do that project without you.\" He smiled one of those big toothy smiles. He had such perfect white teeth.
\"Ha-ha... Yeah... Well I don\'t think I\'m allowed to miss school, ever. That’s my brother’s job.\" I said nodding as I we walked to our form rooms.
\"Yeah. Sounds like something your brother would do. Well gotta go.\" He smiled. \"Laters.\" He walked away, waving back at me.
\"Bye.\"
Tommy was like 6\'1. He had broad shoulders (Probably from hitting so many balls at baseball. He was like the best player in the team), lightly tanned skin and the nicest sky blue eyes that
worked nicely with his short black hair.
Chemistry was uneventful like most of the day. We played with lithium and wrote down notes. That’s mostly. Tommy and I didn\'t talk much but we had all after school to talk. But It was before lunch when Tommy came over to talk to me when I saw him again. The boy. He stood behind Tommy and stared at me. He was angry and I almost started to panic in front of Tommy. I didn\'t like angry spirits. I made up some excuse about having to meet my brother and walked quickly away from Tommy and the angry spirit. I ran into the bathroom. I needed to cool off.
I splashed cold water on to my face and looked at my pale reflection in the wall mirror. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath in and out. When I opened them I almost screamed in shock. The little boy stood beside me, looking up at me.
\"Help me....\"
After nearly being scared to death I went in search for my brother. He needed to no about the stalking ghost. My brother just nodded and went into those scary deep thoughts that he so liked. I told him that he would have to go and check out the house after our Kung fu training with
the Shaman monks. He asked why I couldn\'t go and I just blushed. He smirked and my embarrassment and said he would go. I hugged my brother tightly and walked off merrily. My brother was so cool.
I got finally got home. I was fucked from kung fu training. I had been so distracted by thoughts of the ghosts that I had been slammed to the floor by one of the monks and then ordered to clean up the whole fighting area as punishment. My brother offered to stay and help me but I told him to go and see the ghost old house. I walked through the front door surprised to see Tommy sitting there on the couch, soda in hand.
\"Your dad let me in.\" He said standing up. \"He said you would be home from your training soon.\" He laughed nervously. \"I\'m sorry, did I come here to early...?\" I blinked realizing that I had just been staring at him. I shook my head monitoring no to him.
\"No... You aren\'t early, I was just... Fucked is all... I did something stupid and my teacher punished me for it, that’s why I\'m late.\" I smiled. \"Were is the old man anyway?\" I asked staring at him.
\"He walked out, saying that there’s a note on the table for you guys. You look tired. I could come back tomorrow if you want?\" I didn\'t want him to leave. Even if I was tired.
\"No, no. I\'m fine. Just sweaty is all. You get the books set up and I\'ll go and have a shower. Help yourself to anything. Food, drinks, whatever.\" I said walking up the stairs to mine and my brother’s room. I smelled bad.
\"So... You do Kung Fu, huh?\" Tommy randomly commented, going totally off our last subject.
\"Ummm... Yeah. My brother and I do it.\" He had a look of awe on his pretty face. I blushed slightly. Not many people new I did Kung Fu. I don\'t even think Domy new.
\"Who wins out of fights between you two?\"
\"It’s usually pretty equal. My brother is powerful and uses his angry emotions but I\'m balanced and can move easy and swiftly. Kung Fu is not always about strength.\" I said smiling. It felt weird
telling a person. \"But it always helps.\"
\"Your brother doesn’t seem stronger than you. You two look so much alike yet so different. It’s strange.\" I had to agree with that.
\"I agree. It is strange. Fucking freaky if ya ask me. But ohwell... we will live.\" He nodded, smiling again. \"But me and my brother know so many different martial arts that it’s really not fair asking who would win. He has his strengths and weaknesses and I have mine.\" As if we were speaking of the devil, Lokto walked in, startling the two of us.
\"My ears are burning... You weren\'t talking about me were you?\" He asked, staring at me. He looked dirty, like he had been crawling on the ground. The front of MY blue jeans had the tell tail sign of dirt crawling.
\"We were actually.\" Tommy blurted out.
\"Well good. I would hate it if you weren\'t. Oi! You. Come with me.\" Lokto said, monitoring for me to follow him.
\"Ummm... Okay? Be right back.\" I followed my brother.
\"I went dirt crawling.....\" Lokto said angrily. \"Dirt fucking crawling.\" I was taking it that Lokto didn\'t like dirt crawling.
\"I can see that... Why?\" I said in a mocking voice. It was so fun to mock my brother when he was shitty. It made great sport.
\"I was out at that old house looking around the garden where you said that little boy was standing and I noticed that there was some newly dug dirt.\" My brother started looking serious. \"Anyway, the guy that lived there came home, drunk as a skunk, and I tried to stay out of the porch light by crawling across the dirt.\" He turned and walked up the stairs, not giving me time to ask question. \"I\'m going for a shower then going out again. No fucking until you\'ve had some alcohol.\" I stared at him in shock. Tommy could have heard that. He gave me the finger then walked to the bathroom.
It was 8pm and I was fuck. \"So tired... Need food.\" I said to Tommy, who was still here by the way, whining as my stomach agreed with me. I gave Tommy the best puppy eyes I could, trying to get him to walk over to the phone and ring up the pizza place. \"Please Tommy... I will die if you don\'t ring up the pizza place. Do you want me to die Tommy?\" I said as if I was an
adult talking to a child.
\"But I\'m so hungry I can\'t move either. Who’s stupid idea was it to leave the ordering till we were so starved that we can\'t even go to the phone to order food?\" I lowered my
head.
\"It wasn\'t mine, oh no it wasn\'t.\" I said with mock nervousness, making my eyes shift around the room. The door slammed open with a loud string of curses which ment one thing... Lokto was home, and he was angry... again.
\"That fucking bastard. That useless piece of runny dog shit. I\'m going to fucking kill him!!\" Lokto walked into the room, then stopped his line of curses. \"What the fuck is he still doing here?\" Lokto said pointing to Tommy. I glared at him. He was being a fucking dick head again.
\"I asked him if he would like to stay for pizza. Why the fuck are you in a shitty for?\" Lokto took off his black leather jacket and flopped down on the chair across from us. His leather pants
made a squeak sound and his \"t-shirt\" was ridding half way up his stomach showing his defined abs. When Lokto went out he left nothing to the imagination and usually who ever he wanted he got.
\"That fucking arsehole Chris.\" I physically paled.
\"Chris.... Basted Chris?\" I asked, hoping that I had heard wrong.
\"Yeah... Your fucking bastard Chris decided to pick a fight with me at a bar which got me and Domy kicked out. Fucking bastard. I hate him.\" He pulled out a pack of cigarettes from his pocketed and lit one up. I looked down ashamed. I hoped to hell that Lokto wouldn\'t say anything that would make Tommy ask questions. \"So... Were is the food?\" Lokto asked while taking another deep puff of his beloved cancer stick.
\"We were going to ring up the pizza place but we were to hungry to move.\" Tommy said, giving Lokto big pleading eyes.
\"Fucking lazy bastards...\" Lokto grumbled as he walked over to the phone. We both smiled brightly at the thought of food. So hungry.
The rest of the night was filled of laughs, beer and food. Tommy left at 10.30 leaving me to clean (seen as Lokto doesn’t do the cleaning thing.). I smiled. What a great night. I spent hours talking with my crush and I was happy. I walked up to Lokto and my bedroom. Sleep was defiantly in order. At the top of stairs stood a little boy with a very sad look on his face. He was crying ghostly tears. I kneeled down in front of the ghost boy, trying to get him to look at me. \"Hello there....\" I said in a small voice, coaxing him to trust me. \"Can you tell me your name?\" I looked into his grey, teary eyes, seeing if he even noticed that I was talking to him.
\"No.\" He said softly. He was still crying but he seemed to stop. \"I\'m so scared. I\'m not support to be here. Help me.\" He looked up at me with pleading, ghostly eyes.
\"I\'ll try my hardest.\" I smiled kindly at him. \"Do you remember? what happened before you passed on?\" He was flickering. Like he couldn\'t hold the image before me.
\"My family.... Were are my parents. I miss them.\" He was wailing now. His ghostly voice leaving an inhumanly echo bounce around the blue walls of the room. His voice got louder and louder with the more upset he got. I covered my ears with my hands trying to get away from the high
pitched scream that filled my head. He got even louder. By now he was just screaming. His voice reached inhumanly heights. I was on the floor, groaning in pain. The noise seem to make my body ache. My body was tense as-if it was being kicked and punched by invisible fists and legs. I was in physical pain and the ghost didn\'t seem to want to stop.
\"STOP!\" I screamed. \"Please Stop!\" I was almost in tears. The pain was unbearable. My vision was blurring and I felt faint. The last thing I remeber was my brother running down the hall. The noise had stop and there was a faint ringing in my ears. I saw black as I fainted on the floor, in my brother’s arms. Happily letting the darkness take me away from the pain in my head and limbs...
The next morning I woke up with a dry throat and in Lokto\'s bed. Lokto was no were to be seen. Fuck. I had school. I hated Mondays. But at least there was something good about school. I smiled at that thought.
