Between Him and Her

Ch. 2 – Before the Party

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Rufio (Roo-fee-oh) got changed into a red silk shirt and tight black leather pants. He walked over to his father, whom Rufio resembled a lot, and stared at him with an evil glare.
“Don’t get mad at me. Your mother wanted this too,” stated his father. His father’s hair was jet black and went a little passed his shoulders, which he was now keeping in a low ponytail with a black ribbon. His sat upon his chair at the head of the dinning room table with a proper body structure.
“Oh, Lucifer, darling. Why must you always try to make me the bad guy?” his beautiful wife asked with a Russian accent. Lucifer’s shining red eyes fell upon his gorgeous wife and he pushed his chair farther from the table. His wife flipped some of her bright-red waves of hair over her shoulder and looked at her husband warily with her majestic green eyes. Her eyes lightened and she sat upon Lucifer’s lap with a pout on her face.
“Well, Adrian, baby, I’m the bad guy everywhere, all the time, I’m the one to blame. Why should I have to be the bad guy in my own home?” he said jokingly. Her pout stopped as they stared to have an intense make-out session.
“Mom, Dad, please stop! I really don’t want to be in here if you two start to show me how I was created!” Rufio shudders.
Lucifer looks upset that he was forced to stop, but Adrian looks at her son with a cute smile and says, “Without that kiss you wouldn’t be here. You’d be living in a rundown apartment with me, and your father would be Tony no Thumbs.”
“Soleil! (So-lay)” a stuck-up princess called.
“Coming, Milady,” Soleil shouted as she hustled up the three flights of stairs.
‘How could an angel princess be so bitchy?’ wondered Soleil. Soleil’s light-olive skin was starting to shine from the sweat that accumulated on her body because she sprinted up the stairs. Her loose curls bounced as she ran through the princess’s door.
“What took you so long?!” shouted the pissy princess.
“I’m sorry, Milady,” spoke Soleil as she curtsied.
“Let’s go! Come on, Soleil! You have to get my dress, do my hair, do my makeup! You’ve got a lot to do in 30 minutes!” Shouted the princess.
“Princess Ally! I-” Soleil started to say, but stopped talking when the King and Queen entered the room and started working. Soleil got the light red sundress from the closet and dressed Princess Ally. Princess Ally watched with light brown eyes as Soleil’s hair shown like gold when the sun hit it.
“Mother, Father, I want Soleil’s hair! It’s so much nicer than mine!” whined Ally. Soleil kept her mouth shut while Ally ranted about this and that. 29 minutes later, Princess Ally was all dressed. Ally went to go sit in the carriage with her father while her mother talked with Soleil.
“When we go to the village, you can go and do what you want, but here is a little money to buy yourself a costume for the costume party,” the Queen said and slipped some money into Soleil’s hand.
“Oh, no, Milady. I don’t think I could take this,” whispered Soleil.
“Take it. You deserve it.” And like that the conversation was over.
Soleil’s vibrant blue eyes looked at all the amazing clothes she could buy with what she was given. Store after store after store she looked in, but she couldn’t find that something that she would just die for. The last shop had so many unique things, and that’s where she started trying things on. She tried on at least half of the women’s clothes before she found what she’d been looking for. An angel costume. (Lame I know, but just read and find out…) It was a plain white dress that fell at her mid-thigh and had short wispy sleeves. Upon the back was a small set of white wings. ‘The last thing I want is Princess Ally to be a spaz about me…I think this is a low-key costume…maybe it will be an okay night!’ thought Soleil.
