"Hey guys! I'm so glad you came!" Lochness stood at the cave entrance nearly exploding with excitement. She turned to Jordan and Renea and said ecstaticly, "Hi! I'm Nerrisa! They call me Lochness, though, so i guess just call me that."
Jordan stood dumbfounded at Lochness's overly exctatic introduction as Renea smiled widely and shook lochness's hand.
Lochness turned and led us to Vile. "So, how do you like the hideou?" he said as we walked into what looked like the main cave. There were six or seven passageways leading away from the main cave and the whole place was lit with candles. "We consider it our home. We really don't have anywhere else to go."
I looked around the cave; at the nickknacks sitting on shelves that hung on the cave walls. I looked at tables littered with jars and magazines. I looked up to see various precious stones hanging from the ceiling. Diamonds, Rubies, Sapphires. The ceiling alone must have been worth more than my house did. It was beautiful.
One shelf had particularly caught my eye. I walked over to the shelf to look at the three golden boxes. Engraved on them was the names of people that I didn't even bother trying to pronounce. "What are these?"
Vile smiled and walked over to the shelf, "Strang how you noticed these first, this is what i wanted to show you."
Greet and Blair walked into the main cave from one of the passageways. They both looked groggy. They stretched and sat on the couch.
Vile picked up the boxes and gave one to Renea and Jordan, then turned to me and said, "Before you can even touch this, you have to take off anything that has to do with any kind of religion." He pointed at my cross necklace.
I was confused at first, then i remembered something. "You're the one who burned my necklace, aren't you?"
Lochness laughed, "No, that wasn't us. That was someone else."
You know who did it?" I asked. I wasn't too mad about it, I just wanted to know.
"Sure, we do, but there are other parts of the story that you need to know first." Greet said, then stood up and left through one of the passageways.
"As Spark already knows," Vile started, Jordan and Renea glanced at each other and mouthed my nickname, then squished their faces up as if they were eating a lemon. "All over the news, 15 tears ago, four kids, all around the age of 17, dissapeared without a trace."
"Now, what does this have to do with us?" Jordan snorted.
"Just listen to the story!" Greet said from the couch, "I like this part."
Jordan and Renea jumped back surprised, "How did you get there?" Jordan stuttered, "You were just in the other room!"
"Eh, I didn't feel like walking." Greet shrugged his shoulders then took a gulp of water from a glass that seemed to appear as mysteriously as Greet had.
"These four kids," Vile continued, "Went by the names Brian, Daniel, Ashley, and Nerrisa. These kids were us."
"But that would make you like 32 years old." Renea said in obvious skepticism.
"Yes, we are." Blair smiled at Renea and chuckled.
"A little while before we dissapeared, we found out what we are. What you are." Vile kept telling the story, "Jennifer, you are a reincarnation of a queen that lived many thousands of years ago. This queen had magical powers that supassed anyone and anything else."
"What?! I started to get a little skeptical myself.
Vile turned to Jordan and continued, "Jordan. You are the reincarnation of the queen's most loyal knight. This knight never left the queen's side, his magical abilities were only surpassed by the queen and were dead even with the queen's best friend, of whom Renea was reincarnated."
The three of us fell back onto the second couch behind us, our mouths half open. None of us believed him, I could tell. I could also tell taht if he wanted us to believe him, he would have to proove it.
Vile looked at me and said, "Here's your proof. Give me those boxes I gave you."
Jordan and Renea gave him the boxes and he sat them down on the table. "The words inscripted on the bosex are in the queen's original language. They all say 'May only the spirit rearisen bare this gift of many ages past.' Then in the corner of the boxes it says the original owners' names." Vile looked at us and continued, "It means only the original owner or their reincarnate can open these boxes. There has een a spell on these boxes since the queen and her friends died." Vile attempted to open the boxes but could not. He handed them back to Jordan and Renea. "You still need to take off your necklace." "Oh, yeah. Sorry." I took off my necklace and set it on the table next to the boxes. Once I set it down it started shaking as if there was an earthquake just right under it. It flew into the air, away from the boxes, hit the wall and fell to the ground.
"I told ya," Vile chuckled, "You wouldn't want that happening to you, now would you?"
I giggled, "Yeah, I suppose not." Ibrobbed the box, as did Jordan and Renea. We were all able to open our own boxes. Inside my box was a necklace that had on it a charm of the goddess and god symbol, it was made of ribies and sapphires. The chain was silver and was just long enough for the charm to rest just above my clevage.
Jordan and Reneas' were different, Jordan's chain was gold and had a charm of only the God symbol made of sapphires. Renea's chain was silver like min, but had a charm of only the goddess symbol made of Rubies.
"What are these supposed to be?" I asked.
Greet, Blair, Lochness, and Vile exchanged glances after they all had a good look at the necklaces.
"They look similar to a source stone, but, like Vile said, no one has seen those for thousands of years." Blair said. She reached into her shirt and pulled out a silver necklace with an emerald stone charm. "This is mine. It's just a single stone though, no symbols or anything. Their's are like mine, just different stones."
Vile, Lochness, and Greeteach pulled out a neclace also. Vile had a gold chain and a diamond. Lochness had a silver chain and a ruby. Greet had a gold chain and a sapphire.
"So then, what are your parts in this whole thing?" Renea asked.
"Well, we were all reincarnated from your next highest ranking knights." Lochness said. "We were reincarnated to find the reincarnated queen so that she could bring back the balance of magic."
"Yes, there was another man involved," Vile started again. "This man dissagreed with some of the ways you ran your kingdom so he gathered a few followers and they split from the kingdom. These people fought for the queen's power until this man finally managed to kill her."
"Yes, but little did he know, he couldn't steal her magic because of the protective spell she cast on her power stone just in case." Blair added when vile was done.
"So then what am I supposed to do, Kill them?" I asked.
Well no, of course not!" Vile exclaimed, "You are supposed to find them and take away there source stones. Without their source stones they can't do magic, and without magic they have no way to take over your kingdom."
"Well, don't say it like I should have known!" I whined, "Remember, all this is new to me!"
"Oh yeah, aren't they supposed to start slowly getting their memories back, Vile?" Lochness asked Vile, but looking intently at me as if she expected me to exclaim that i suddenly remembered everything from my past life. "I mean it's what happened to us." She tore her eyes away frome me and facd Vile, waiting for his answer.
"Yes, I suppose they probably will," Vile said thoughtfully, "but 'till then we have to start training you guys."
Renea stood up and walked around the couch. "What if I say I don't want to have anything to do with this?" she said softly, "What if I say I just want to be normal?"
"Yeah, this might be a little too much for me to handle right now." Jordan added.
"Oh, come on you guys! This sounds like fun!" I exclaimed. I got up and faced Jordan, "How many timese have you complained to me that you had to clean your room or take out the trash? We always talked about how it would be if we could just go 'poof' and everything was done. Renea, you can't tell me that it wouldn't be awesome!"
Oh yeah! That's easy magic, we could teach you that first!" Lochness smiled widely.
Renea looked down at her feet, "Ok, that does sound badass."
"I'm in." Jordan agreed.
