Laraine shot up and gasped for breath. He looked around quickly and saw that he was still in the tent, Ben sleeping peacefully at his side. The sun was up, it seemed like it was around eleven o’clock, and Laraine could hear the others talking outside.
“Sugah?” came Ben’s groggy voice and Laraine looked over to see Ben looking up at him. “You okay sugah? You look a little shaken up.”
“I’m fine.” Laraine muttered and laid back down, curling into Ben. “I just had a bad dream.”
Ben kissed Laraine softly. “Wanna talk about it sugah?”
Laraine shook his head. “No I just...” he closed his eyes and he breathed in Ben’s scent. “I just want to lay here for a while.”
“Lay here for as long as you need.” Ben hugged Laraine close to him. Laraine smiled seeing his ring on Ben’s finger. “You know you can tell me anything right Lain?”
“Of course.” Laraine looked up at Ben. “You’re the only one I can tell anything too Benjamin.”
Ben laughed softly. “I’m gonna take that as a complement. Though I think your mom would be a little angry to hear it.”
“My mom doesn’t even know I’m gay.” Laraine muttered and buried his face into Ben’s side. “I don’t want to go through that entire talk with her.”
“It’d be best though.” Ben told him. “If you told her. I don’t want to have to hide from your mom for forever sugah. Especially not when you are out of high school and all that fun stuff. There is only so long that you can fool someone and I think that she is the type of person that you would rather tell.”
Laraine looked up at Ben again. “I know. I will. I just don’t know how.”
Ben turned onto his side and looked down at Laraine. “If you want me there with you I will be.”
“No, this is something that I would have to do by myself.” Laraine told him. “My mom would flip if I told her I was dating the person who was sitting next to me. Not to mention she really doesn’t like you for the way you dress anyway.”
That made Ben laughed again as he brushed hair from Laraine’s face. “Sugah your mom will never like or accept me. I don’t think it would matter if I were right beside you or in Japan. She’d be able to kill me with her mind.”
This made Laraine laugh a little. “I have no doubt in my mind she could do that.” his phone began to vibrate and he groaned and turned over so he could grab it. “Speaking of the fucking devil.” he answered it. “What’s going on ma?”
“Laraine you need to come home right away.” she said in his ear.
“Why?” Laraine asked, very pissed off.
His mother let out an exasperated sigh. Like she had expected Laraine to just come home. “Because your grandmother is coming down unexpectedly and you need to be here to help. Heaven knows if you will get to see her again.” Laraine sat up and Ben groaned. “What was that?”
“Nothing ma.” Laraine answered and gave Ben a quick punch. “I’m not coming home ma. This is my spring break and you probably invited her down just to try and get me home. I’m not stupid. So you can handle it okay? I’m staying up here with my friends.”
Laraine close his phone and was immediately pulled back down so he was next to Ben. He was about to say something to the older guy but Ben’s mouth slid over his and all conversation was lost. “Hey love birds!” Ryan yelled. “Stop fucking and get out here!”
“Do you have to be such an asshole Ryan?” William shot back at him.
“It’s noon!” Ryan yelled at his twin brother. “And I don’t want to listen to that ever!”
“Shut the fuck up!” Ben yelled at them. “I swear to god if any of you interrupt one more time I am going to make it so you will never be able to have sex!”
Laraine laughed and got up. “Come on Benjamin. We’re here to have fun so lets go.”
Ben groaned. “Sugah I was planning on just staying in here and having fun with you.”
“Come on.” Laraine told him. “We could be missing something really cool.”
“Doubt it.” Ben muttered as he got up.
They all spent most of the day around the camp fire just talking and hanging out. By the time three rolled around Ryan and Michael were on the brink of a fight. For two people who had been friends since they had been born the two sure fought a lot. Everyone was confused at what was going on with them. No one really knew and if someone did know they weren’t telling anyone.
“How much would I have to pay to watch you two make out?” Cathy asked Ryan and Michael. “I mean, you’re both hot to begin with but all this pent up energy would just make it all the sweeter.”
“There is not enough money in this world to make me touch him.” Ryan shot back at Cathy.
Michael laughed. “Funny, considering I didn’t have to give you any money last night when you let me fuck you.”
William groaned. “I really don’t want to hear that about my brother.”
Ryan clenched his fists. “Michael you are such a fucking asshole! Jesus! If I had wanted you to fucking tell everyone I would have done it myself.”
“Ryan we’ve been dating for a year now!” Michael yelled and everyone’s eyes widened. “I think everyone here deserves to know that!”
“They can know that we are dating! I don’t care about that!” Ryan yelled. “I am sorry if I don’t like telling people about personal things Michael! However if you want to tell them all about your sexual experiences then go get a fucking hooker cause you aren’t sleepin’ with me even again!”
Everyone was kind of looking back and forth from each other not knowing what to do. “Friggin A, Ryan!” Michael yelled. “Is it really that big of deal that they know we sleep together? Honestly? When people have been dating for a year they tend to have sex! It’s not all that uncommon!”
Ryan just rolled his eyes and walked off down the trail. Michael groaned and ran after him. “So...” Jess said to the silence that had taken over the other five. “Who wants to guess they are doin’ it in the woods now?”
“Jess!” William snapped. “I do not want to hear that about my little brother! Thank you!”
“That doesn’t sound like a bad idea if you ask me.” Ben said and pulled Laraine into his lap. “Sugah you should take a hint from Ryan.”
Laraine leaned his head against Ben’s shoulder. “Benjamin your chances of ever sleeping with me are slowly declining.”
Ben wrapped his arms around Laraine’s waist and held him close. “Sugah don’t threaten me like that.”
“So how much money would I have to give you two in order to have you let us watch you make out?” Cathy asked them.
Ben laughed. “The only people here are two lesbians and a strait guy. Who is going to get anything out of that?”
“I’m bi.” Cathy corrected. “And that means I would get a whole hell of a lot out of it thank you.”
“Forgive me but I agree with Ryan.” Laraine told her. “I’m not into making out in front of a crowd.”
The day passed by slowly and by four Ryan and Michael still hadn’t come back to the camp. Everyone was really starting to get worried. There was only so long and so many times two teenaged guys could have sex for. William was the one who was most worried since it was his little brother who was out there.
“Ryan! Michael!” William yelled into the trail. He turned back the others with a sigh. “It’s not like I want to go out looking for them. God only knows what I would find.”
“Well, I’m sure their fine.” Jess said. “After all, this is Michael we are talking about. Michael can take care of himself and he sure as hell would take care of Ryan.”
William sat down and sighed. “Ryan has a problem with running away and you all know that. Of course I am going to be a little freaked out if he runs off for nearly four hours.”
Ben smirked, from where he stood by the fire. “William the reason Ryan runs off so much is cause of your sent strait from hell mother.” he sighed. “I’d run away too if I had your mother.”
“Well I didn’t run away.” they all looked over as Ryan and Michael came back into the camp. “And the last time I ran away was like three months ago. I’m trying to deal with that bitch as much as I possibly can.”
“So when you showed up at my house at midnight on Monday you weren’t running away?” Michael asked him.
Ryan rolled his eyes. “No, I was not running away. That was just me needing to cool off. If I had run away I wouldn’t have even told William where I was going and I told William I was heading to your house.”
Laraine stood and went to go to the tent but Ben grabbed his hand. “I’m just going to get my coat Benjamin. Calm yourself.”
Ben let his hand go and turned back to the fire. Jess was staring at his hand and smirked. “What’s that on your finger Ben?”
“What?” Ben sort of jumped out thought. “Oh,” he looked down at his hand. “Lain gave it to me.”
“You two engaged or something now?” Cathy asked him.
Ben glared at her. “It was his father’s ring.” everyone kind of shut up then cause they all knew what had happened. “He gave it to me last night.”
Jess, of course, was the first one to talk. “So...what? Did you two like...do it or something?”
“Jess!” Ben yelled at her and she laughed. “Jesus! God forbid I blink! Does that mean I’ve had sex also?”
“What did I miss?” Laraine asked as he came out again with his coat hugged tightly around him.
“Oh nothing.” Jess answered smugly. “Ben was just enlightening us about his drug days.”
Laraine looked up at Ben who was glaring at Jess intently. “Benjamin is something wrong?”
Ben looked down and gave Laraine a small smile. “Nah, nothings wrong sugah.” He pulled Laraine over and held him close. “Nothing at all.”
“Why don’t you tell us about your drug days Ben?” Michael asked and sat down in a chair pulling Ryan down with him. “I don’t think I have ever been graced with hearing one of your tales.”
“Nothing to tell. It’s the same old story no matter who you ask.” Ben told him. “Even then, those aren’t days I like to relive.”
Jess laughed. “Ben you could have gotten away with murder back then. You could probably get away with murder now knowing all the people you know.”
Laraine felt Ben’s body go tense a moment. “Probably could if any of those people still give a rat’s ass about me. It does matter now though. I don’t plan on going back into that ever.”
At midnight that night Laraine was laying in the tent just staring at the ceiling. He’d always been worried about Ben but it seemed to him that Ben was worried enough that he would slip back into his old habit. That was the last thing Laraine wanted, Ben going down that road again. It made him scared just to think about it. He’d known Ben at the end of his little reign and even though Ben had been getting out of it he’d still been pretty hooked.
The thing that had scared him the most was that one time, when Laraine had been over at Ben’s house back when they had just been friends, a few of Ben’s ‘friends’ had come to his house and completely lost it. One of them had even threatened to ‘do away’ with Laraine himself if Ben didn’t live up to his word. Laraine had no idea if Ben had lived up to his word or not but after that Laraine had never seen those guys again. It just really scared them to think about what they could do to Ben without anyone knowing what happened.
“Sugah?” Ben asked and propped himself up onto one arm at Laraine’s side. Laraine had thought he had been asleep but he’d been wrong. “Are you okay?”
“Fine.” Laraine answered and smiled softly. “Just having some trouble getting to sleep.”
Ben ran his free hand through Laraine’s hair. “You look upset sugah.”
Laraine took a deep breath and closed his eyes. “Just thinking about what Jess said earlier.” he looked up at Ben. “It scares me.”
“Scares me too.” Ben admitted. “I’d never let any ghosts from my past hurt you Lain. You know that right?”
“Of course.” Laraine nodded. “Still doesn’t mean I’m not scared for you.”
“You don’t have to be scared for me sugah.” Ben kissed him softly. “I can handle whatever those people throw at me. I’ve done it before.” They kissed softly, slowly. Laraine pulled his head away after a moment and turned onto his side. “Lain,” Ben wrapped his arm around Laraine and pulled him over, back to chest, so he could whisper in his ear. “Sugah are you crying?”
Lain turned his face into his pillow to get rid of the tears. “Benjamin don’t think I don’t know what people like that can do.” his eyes fell on Ben’s hand and the ring that was on it. “Those kind of people killed my father. There is no doubt in my mind that they could kill you and that scares me.”
Ben sighed and kissed the side of Laraine’s head. “Sugah, that risk will always be there. I’ve learned to deal with that.” he turned Lain over onto his back again and looked down at him. “You’re gonna have to learn to deal with that too.”
There was a silence between them a moment. “I don’t want to lose another person close to me Benjamin. Losing you is the only thing that I could never learn to deal with.”
Ben lowered his head and captured Lain’s mouth with his own. Lain wrapped his arms around Ben’s neck and opened his mouth to allow Ben’s tongue access. They kissed slowly, Ben’s tongue mapping Laraine’s mouth, memorizing every curve and line. Ben slid his hand up into Laraine’s shirt and massaged his stomach softly. Laraine moaned softly and arched into the touch slightly.
This always scared Laraine, when they would do this. It had never gotten further than Ben just kissing him and stroking his stomach but Laraine always felt that it would lead to more. The leading to more part was the think that scared Laraine. He didn’t want Ben to get in trouble. He was so afraid that Ben would get in trouble just for kissing him, let alone the making out that they did at Ben’s house.
“Benjamin...” Laraine said in barely a whisper as Ben kissed down to his neck and began to suck. “Wait...”
Ben pulled his head back and looked down at Laraine. He sat up with Laraine as Laraine slowly sat up. Slowly Laraine grabbed the hem of his shirt and pulled it up over his head, tossing it to the side of the tent. Ben stared at him a moment before lowering his head to the boy’s neck and sucking at his collar bone. Laraine dropped his head back and put one arm behind him so he could support his weight while the other laced into Ben’s black hair.
Slowly Ben’s lips trailed down and he hesitated a moment, looking up at Laraine who’s eyes were on him, watching him. It almost felt wrong to Ben, to finally be able to taint the young man who had captured his heart. Ben finally took Laraine’s right nipple into his mouth and nearly lost it hearing Laraine’s soft cry of pleasure. Laraine’s hand tightened in Ben’s hair as his head completely fell backwards.
“Oh god...Benjamin...” Laraine moaned and forced his head up to look down at Ben. “Oh my god...”
Ben pushed them back to he was above Laraine, the boy’s legs parted but their bodies not yet touching. Their mouths met once again and they kissed frantically. Ben slid his hand down Laraine’s body and lifted Laraine’s hips to bring them closer together. Laraine gasped and wrapped his arms firmly around Ben, as if holding on for dear life.
Finally Ben pulled his mouth from Laraine’s and rolled to the side, trying to catch his breath as Laraine was doing. Laraine could not believe that he had allowed Ben to do that to him and was slightly afraid because of how good it had felt. Even then, he was also wondering why Ben had stopped. Laraine hadn’t said anything or done anything...at least he hoped.
“Benjamin?” Laraine asked and looked over at Ben, who in turn looked at him. “Is something wrong?”
“Oh no.” Ben leaned over and gave him a small kiss. “Sugah I just don’t want to go to far. I don’t want to scare you.”
Laraine bit his lip before pushing himself up and straddling Ben’s waist. He slowly leaned down and began to kiss Ben slowly. He opened his mouth as Ben’s tongue ran along his lips and allowed him entrance. Cautiously Laraine grabbed the hem of Ben’s shirt and Ben sat up as Laraine pulled it over his head.
“Benjamin?” Laraine asked as Ben sucked at his neck and slid his hands down to Laraine’s bottom. “Will you take me Benjamin?”
That one caught Ben’s attention and he sat back a little so he could look at Laraine. “What?”
Laraine blushed deeply. “I...I want to sleep with you Benjamin.”
“Oh sugah...” Ben kissed him. “I would love to take you here and now but this is not the place. I would rather your first time be somewhere much more romantic than out here where our friends can interrupt at any moment.”
Laraine nodded softly. “Alright.”
Ben kissed Laraine hard. “Tomorrow I want to take you somewhere special sugah.”
“Alright.” Laraine yawned. “Lets get some sleep.”
