The Time We Have

Going Under

Water--warm, bubbling around me.

I'm floating in it, weightless, mindless

As a child in the womb.

I drift there endlessly, feeling

Nothing but peace. Then,

A shock.

Screams inside my head,

Flashes of searing heat.

Then, cool, cool liquid

Over everything, smothering,

Kissing, soothing.

Down I go, under

Everything, 'till I rock

On the soft bottom and

Sleep there, forever,

Never surfacing.

Hearts and Hands

My wings are cut,

My blood is spilled,

My body breaks,

And they have killed me.

You fall away,

You hold the blame,

You cannot stray

From death and flame.

You killed me.

O great Tempter

Spread your censure

Through any and all

My home and lands!

You pierce me with nails--

Through my heart,

Through my hands

The Lost

I am a lost One,

A broken body,

Mind, and soul.

I have nothing to

Live for. He was

The only thing I

Gave my love for,

Gave my life for.

And He has gone.

I am a lost One,

A broken body,

Mind, and soul.

I am the forsaken.

Beautiful

A sinister angel--

Emerald eyes, blush lips,

Impossible.

Raven hair, moon-pale skin,

Mouth opened in a silent

Scream.

Eyes sparkling with the knowledge

Of unforgivable deeds--

Beautiful,

Beyond description.

Torture

It's torture to watch you

Undo your robes; then you

Set to work on mine,

Long fingers reaching inside

To my chest.

Our skin touches, like

Grains of dry desert sand

Moving against one another.

Whispering to me,

"Make you bleed--" I

Can't think straight, I

Can't do this. It's

Torture.

Of Man

The song of man

Their love long flourished,

Hidden in old forests

With the clever thieves band.

The love of man

Will bloom--once long faded,

Set to the hearts of

The maidens found new.

The eyes of man

Once blurred by their greed

Shall again see the

Faces of love lost.
