DISCLAMER:Alright I own EVERYTHING. Ha ha! Okay well not everything. The name Aliktsu belongs to my friend, but the rest is mine. Yah I think.
AN:Alright agian here is chapter two. Sorry for the long wait for thse of you who were waiting, which by how many reviews I have is no one(saddness). Well here it is enjoy.

CHAPTER TWO TRAINING TO BE A KING

It had been four years sense the murder of King Poacid and Queen Zoei, and the murderer still had yet to be found. Chancellor Oron had been made king until Aliktsu was of legal age. The only problem was that Aliktsu, Kema, and Qus had all gone missing.

The day of Chancellor Oron's summoning in, he made a proclamation that peace would be brought between the Halla and Valians. A Halla is a creation of the God of Destruction and he uses them in his battles. The have excellent sight, hearing and scent. They do not kill with weapons, but tear into their with with their claws. Their skin is like armor and you would have to have the strength of a God to kill them. Then he disbanded the Council of Seven and had them murdered, so that even if he found the prince nothing could be done to make him king. Oron then made the Halla's the main security for Teinco and enslaved the people for his own means.

When all this happened the people of Teinco formed a Resistance and wanted to put the rightful heir back on the throne. When Qus heard of this he packed everything that Aliktsu, Kema and himself would need and moved out to the country where no one would find them. It was to early to make Aliktsu king yet, he still had much to learn and do.

It had been exactly four years sense the murder of the King and Queen. Qus stood outside his hut looking towards the sunrise. He would breath in and out mediating and thinking on the day, for it was the day that Prince Aliktsu began his training.

Qus shook himself from his meditation and walked into the hut and back to where the prince slept. Qus stood at the foot of the boy's bed and cleared his throat to wake the Prince. Aliktsu just ignored him wanting a few more hours of sleep. Qus then knelt and grabbed the foot of Aliktsu's bed and lifted it up then let it drop shaking the bed violently and knocking the Prince out of bed.

Aliktsu groaned as he lifted himself off the floor then turned towards the one you woke him so rudely, “Qus what the hell was that for!”

Qus just stared at the seething boy and spoke calmly, “We begin your training today, so get dressed and come into the kitchen for some breakfast.”

After Qus left Aliktsu's room he walked over to his daughter's and decided he should wake her more gently then he did with Aliktsu. He sat at the edge of Kema bed and gently shook her. She moaned a little about having to wake up so early, but wanted it to be a good day so when she opened her eyes she smiled up at her father.

“Good morning daddy,” Kema said gently.

“Good morning sweet heart,” Qus said in a fatherly tone, “It's time to get up.”

“Alright, is Aliktsu up yet,” asked Kema.

Due to the thin nature of the walls and the fact that Aliktsu and Kema's rooms were right next to each other he could hear the conversation going on in Kema's room, so he decided to answer when he heard Kema ask about him, “Yes I'm awake.”

Aliktsu dressed and turned towards the mirror in his room. He saw not the prince that he once was, but some peasant. Aliktsu had let his hair grow out and now it had grown down to the base of his neck. It still retained it black color but was now snarled and messy. He wore loose short sleeved shirt and loose brown pants.

Aliktsu walked out towards the kitchen and was greeted by a bright smile from his best friend Kema. Aliktsu smiled back at her then looked to where Qus sat. He saw that he was ignoring him for some reason. Aliktsu sat down at the table and looked down at the pile of food that was on his plate.

“Um, why is there so much food on my plate,” Aliktsu asked?

Qus looked up at the pondering boy and gave him a smile of pain to come, “It's protein to keep your energy up, so you don't collapse on me during the day. So eat up and will get started.”

Aliktsu just glared at Qus and began to eat the food. It was rather good and filling. He figured Kema made it since he wasn't gagging. After Aliktsu had finished he set his dishes in the wooden tub for when Kema would begin her chores. Aliktsu usually helped her with them, but he figured that whatever Qus had planned for him would keep him busy most of the day. Aliktsu waved at Kema before heading out side to where Qus stood waiting some feet away.

Qus stood in the middle of a clearing he had made for Aliktsu's training. He watched as Aliktsu walked towards him. Qus knew one thing he would have to work on his, the boy's arrogance. He got it from his father and from being a royalty. That was something that would not help in the future.

When Aliktsu reached Qus he looked around at the progress that Qus had made and was stunned. He then turned toward Qus and looked him in the eye waiting to get started.

Qus eyes squinted into a glare at Aliktsu, “First of you will not look me in the eye. Only my equals may do that and you are not one of them.”

Aliktsu's temper began to boil but he decided to keep it down knowing he wouldn't be able to take Qus, not yet anyways.

Aliktsu lowered his gaze from Qus, “Second I want you to run four laps around the clearing.”

Now I am not sure about the measurements of the clearing but four laps around it are about a mile. After Aliktsu had finished the four laps he walked back towards Qus short on breath.

Qus looked down at he boy heaving, trying to catch his breath. When Aliktsu had finally calmed down he stood straight up keeping his gaze from Qus.

“Get use to it for from now on you'll be running a mile every morning. Now we need to work on strengthening and toning your body,” stated Qus.

For the rest of the morning Qus had Aliktsu working out. He had him using his own body weight as the resistance, by having Aliktsu do push-ups, sit-ups, crunches, pull-ups, and squats.

Qus had Aliktsu work like this, till Kema called them in for lunch. Aliktsu automatically went for the water. When Aliktsu did finally go in he was sent back out because he pretty much reeked. So Aliktsu ate outside under a tree.

After Aliktsu finished eating Qus told him to rest for an hour so Aliktsu could digest his food and not start cramping.

When the hour was up, Qus walked out of the hut with two wooden dowels. Qus tossed one to Aliktsu. Aliktsu looked at it and noticed it had a grip at the bottom and was about five feet long.

Qus watched as Aliktsu looked the the wooden dowel, “Till super I will be teaching you the basics of the sword and since we don't want you killing yourself in the process we will be practicing with these.”

Qus showed Aliktsu different stances and positions to go through in basic sword play. Aliktsu was a pretty fast learner, but Qus didn't want him going to fast, instead he had Aliktsu practice what he had learned over and over again. Then Qus would show him some basic maneuvers and had Aliktsu practice those over and over again.

After Qus taught him the maneuver he had Aliktsu practice them in different sequences and critic Aliktsu's stance. Aliktsu was beginning to get pissed and felt like everything he did was wrong.

It was stating to get dark and the sounds and smells of Kema's cooking were coming from the hut. Qus still had Aliktsu run through the maneuvers and criticizing them until Aliktsu exploded and charged Qus. Qus knew this was coming and picked up his dowel and threw it at Aliktsu in the head. Aliktsu fell to the ground holding his head. Qus walked over to Aliktsu and lifted him up by the shoulders.

“You are learning this for a reason and I criticize you because I want you to get it perfect, for there will come a day when I won't be able to protect you from the evil that awaits you and you will have to fight for your self,” Qus said genitally to Aliktsu.

Aliktsu wasn't sure what to say after that, because one his head was throbbing from the dowel hitting him square in the head. And two something he said had confused him, but Aliktsu just blamed that on the dowel hitting him.

Qus looked Aliktsu over and noticed that where Aliktsu was hit had already begun to bruise, “Thats it for today. Go and clean up at the river.”

Aliktsu walked down to the river and hung his clothes on the low branches of a tree near the river. He slowly walked till he was chest deep and let the cool water sooth his aches from early when Qus had him training. Aliktsu dived into the water and let his whole body feel the coolness of the water.

After Aliktsu had dried and clothed he walked back to the hut and could smell the delicious food that Kema had prepared. He walked in and sat down and began to eat like it was his last meal. Kema smiled over at Aliktsu and he smiled back. Qus watched this exchange with a smile that soon disappeared knowing their future. All he could do was hope for the best.

After super Aliktsu helped Kema with the dishes. Kema didn't complain for she enjoyed his company. After the two had washed them and put them away Aliktsu prepared for bed. He was barely able to get his shirt off before collapsing on his cot and drifted off to sleep. Qus heard Aliktsu collapse and laughed knowing the boy had never worked this hard.

This was the basic routine for the prince except every month Qus would add more to both his workout and his training with a sword. Aliktsu's body began to show changes of muscles appearing were once they were not. Aliktsu would still get angry at Qus every time he would criticize him over the way he handled a sword but as the months went on they would become fewer and fewer.

Everything was going fine until one morning before Aliktsu's 15th birthday, when Qus was out mediating before the sunrise came up he felt great pain and he could hear screaming then a vision entered his mind of the people of Teinco being tortured.

“Something horrible is going to happen,” Qus said

The same routine continued as before, but the dread still laid heavy on Qus's heart.
It was towards the end of the training period but Qus's heart just wasn't in it so he cut it short and told Aliktsu to clean up.

Aliktsu walked down to the river and undressed and walked in the river. His mind was on the pained expression on Qus's face, until he heard someone gasp.

Kema was about to begin super. She grabbed the pale and headed down to the river like she always did. When she got there she could hear the sound of splashing and figured it was some animal and gave it no heed. When Kema got there she was stopped immediately in her tracks at what she saw. Aliktsu was walking into the river, except he was naked. Kema let out a small gasp and hopped Aliktsu hadn't noticed.

Aliktsu turned around and saw Kema standing there staring at him. Aliktsu quickly dove into the water to hide himself and Kema quickly turned her self around, covering her eyes.

“I'm sorry,” Kema said quickly.

“No, it's not your fault I should have said something when I heard you coming,” Aliktsu said.

Kema heard what Aliktsu said and a blush spread over her at hearing that he knew she was coming his way, but why didn't he tell her he was in the river. Naked.

Kema's thoughts were interrupted when Aliktsu spoke again, “Kema could you toss me my cloths.”

Kema side walked over to where Aliktsu's cloths hung. She grabbed his clothes then had to decide how to get them to Aliktsu without them getting wet. Kema decided the only way was to, one walk them out to Aliktsu or two she could leave them on the ground and leave. The first idea was out of the question because something more may happen. She may be only thirteen but body parts were starting to develop on her and she was beginning to have strong feelings for a certain prince that went beyond friendship.

The second option was her only other choice, but she didn't want to seem rude or give Aliktsu the wrong signs. So she then deiced that there was a third option she would lay them on the ground and then go and wait behind a tree, then when Aliktsu had dressed she would come back out from behind the tree.

Kema kept her back to Aliktsu and began to speak, “Aliktsu I'm going to leave your cloths her on the bank and then go behind that tree there so you may have your privacy, and when you are done I'll come back out, okay?”

Aliktsu looked at Kema and said, “All right.”

Aliktsu watched as Kema laid his clothes down on the ground and then disappeared behind a tree. Aliktsu waded back up to the shore and grabbed his clothes and put them back on over his wet body. They clung in places he wished the didn't.

Aliktsu turned towards the tree that Kema was behind and called out to her, “You can come out now.”

When Kema came out she noticed that Aliktsu's clothes clung to him in places that revealed his well toned chest. At that moment a heat was growing in Kema, but she just pushed it away.

“Um Aliktsu will you help with the clothes, please,” Kema asked

Aliktsu could never refuse Kema, “Of course.”

Aliktsu and Kema had washed the cloths and were hanging them up. After they were finished the two headed for home. Aliktsu carrying the basket for Kema. They could smell something burning in the woods and it was coming in the direction of the hut.
The two ran as fast as they could. They could hear the crackling of the flames and another noise, but this one was closer.

Suddenly a hideous creature came out and grabbed Kema. Aliktsu saw and rage entered him he could feel a power growing in him. Aliktsu charged the creature and tackled it. The creature let go of Kema and turned towards the Prince. It's upper lip was quivering in anger. It stood at 7', it had pale gray skin. It almost looked like a Valian but something about it wasn't right. It's body was built for battle. It wore heavy armor and had sharp dagger looking claws, that could tear a Valian down the middle. At it's side rested a sword, that was Aliktsu's target.

The Creature spread it's arms and claws preparing for attack. Aliktsu loosened himself and prepared to fight, it would have to end quick. Aliktsu charged, the creature let out a roar and charged. The creature was in swiping range, Aliktsu slide underneath its legs. Aliktsu pushed himself up off the ground and grabbed the hilt of the sword pulling it from its sheath. As the sword came out it sliced across the creatures side. Black blood dripped to the ground pooling. Whatever this creature was, it was part Halla.

The creature didn't let on any sign that it had just been wounded. The creature prepared it attack again and charged. Its claws swiped at Aliktsu. Aliktsu ducked and shoved the sword upward into the creatures rib cage, hopefully striking its heart.

The creature let out a low whine and fell to the ground. Aliktsu drew the sword out and looked around for Kema. She was nowhere in sight. Aliktsu took off running toward the hut hoping that's where Kema was headed.
